Bestie, beta-reader, beloved, (we adore alliteration around these parts), would you be so kind as to give me a snippet of "The Technician"?

Why hello there my wonderful friend!! I'd provide some alliteration back but i have the creativity of a spoon so I shall save us all from that attempt haha.

I can indeed!! Please see below 😁. I started writing this last year so it's a little dated in terms of my writing style, but enjoy!

You strolled into Tech’s office on the Marauder where Crosshair was playing back the audio from yours and Tech’s recording devices. They had been on for the duration of the mission in case anything valuable was caught without either of you realising. With a seemingly bored face, Crosshair trudged through the hours of content at double speed. Everyone was sitting around and listening out in case they heard anything important. It got to the bit where you’d had a holocall with Hunter and Crosshair slowed the tape back down to normal speed. The sergeant in question piped up from his seat. “Kriff that was tense, how did you two manage to get yourselves out of that one in the end?”

Realisation dawned on both yours and Tech’s faces as you both remembered what was about to come up on the recording. Wide eyes met from across the room and you both jumped up and shouted.

“Turn it off!”

Crosshair met your request with a quizzical eyebrow quirk, before smirking. “Why? Is there something you don’t want us to hear on this thing?” He questioned his two panicked teammates. You and Tech just kept looking at each other like you wanted the ship to swallow you up. Looking at the other four people in the room, Crosshair’s smirk widened. “Oh I have a feeling this’ll be good”. Shamelessly, he pressed play on the holopad and continued the recording.
