Hey y’all! If you ever find a charity that is going to do an auction as a fundraiser, and that auction is online and is willing to let me mail the winners their prizes instead of requiring them to pick up the prizes at a specific location, let me know? I really want to donate more things for charity auctions, but my best fundraising items would be fandom related* and those will do much better in an online auction than an in-person one *I already do the Marvel Trumps Hate auction every year, but I have so much non-Marvel stuff I want to make! Pokemon, Studio Ghibli, Momo and Appa from Avatar...there are so many options to choose from

My Loki Collection (Currently)
I've been putting off making this post for awhile, because 1., it's going to be long as hell, and 2., my collection is constantly growing because I have zero self-control.
Tumblr media
Let's get this out of the way before I forget.
Not pictured:
McDonald's Loki Sweet n Sour Sauce. Reason: I have not eaten it and will not be eating it because I don't like Sweet n Sour sauce, so it won't just be the (cleaned) empty label/container on display, and I cannot convince myself to put food on this shelf.
Loki Loungefly backpack. Reason: I use it frequently, so I keep it by my door instead.
Tumblr media
3. Loki and Sylvie t-shirts. Reason: Same as the backpack. I wear them often, so I keep them in my dresser.
4. Alligator Loki plush. Reason: I ordered him on Wednesday, so he hasn't gotten to me yet.
5. Loki 2023 calendar. Reason: My calendar hook is in my hallway, so that's where it's hanging. I might do something with some of the pictures at the end of the year, we'll see.
Okay. I'm going to detail what is on the shelf. Where possible, I'll cite where I got the item, but in some cases I don't remember because it's been too long. I also just transferred my collection to this shelf (it used to live on the top of one of my other bookshelves and quickly outgrew it), so I made several display changes I also want to highlight.
Top (Left to Right)
Framed Loki watercolor print: Once I have the motivation and equipment, I'm going to hang this on the wall above the shelf. The goal is to hang it alongside a framed print of the cover of Journey Into Mystery #85, Loki's comic debut (but the only print I've found so far is a poster, and I don't have room for a print that size there, and the watercolor is 8x10in so it will be very asymmetrical). I got this print at a convention three and a half years ago, so unfortunately I don't remember who created it. And I can't read their signature but I'll post it here in case you're motivated to try to figure out who it is. Kenrick, I think?
Tumblr media
2. Various Loki pins: I found most of these (the buttons) at a comic book store, but you could probably find them on Amazon. The lapel pin came in a set of three from the Disney Store (online; I don't think there are anymore physical stores, unfortunately, outside of like Orlando and probably Anaheim). It was a Pride collection with America Chavez, captioned STRONG, and Valkyrie, captioned BOLD, and I found it equally funny, sweet, and definitely something that would've pissed him off that Loki's caption was LOVE. (And then I realized that's essentially his niece's name now and I immediately wrote several pieces of fic that will never see the light of day before I cried.) The corkboard I got from Amazon, and was the best green I could find that wasn't also huge. I discovered much later that it's actually adhesive, and am considering sticking it to the wall or part of the shelf to free up space at the top. The ribbons are separate from the board and I already had them (I don't remember where specifically they came from, but they were just tied to something else I got, and I thought Loki colors and saved them).
Tumblr media
3. Stickers: Like many millennials with anxiety, I am terrified of committing stickers to a spot. So before creating the Loki shelf, I precariously balanced my stickers (with the paper back intact) wherever they could be seen (and often the A/C or just walking by blew them down). So I positive self-talked my way into bravely committing, bought a frame and a page of scrapbook paper in a shade of green Loki would be proud of, and stuck my stickers on. They're all on one side, because the intention is to get more stickers and build my collection on the same paper (I already have an Etsy wishlist with more stickers).
Tumblr media
That square sticker in the corner and the comic book-looking design are from an Avengers sticker set I got at Target. I bought the set exclusively for these two stickers of Loki, and these are the only two with Loki in the set. "Comics are for everyone" in the genderfluid flag colors is from Panda Redd's Redbubble shop (he has a link on his instagram). I got this awhile ago, so no promises it's still available, but at the time he had this design in many pride flag options. Loki waving the genderfluid flag is from the Etsy shop DeanDraws. The remaining Loki stickers are from the Etsy shop ClarkStickerCo. Maybe at some point I'll make a post of my Etsy-specific Loki wishlist (my comic and official merch wishlists are a little bit out of control, so I'll hold off on those for now).
4. The Mighty Thor issue 359: This comic in particular is on display on top only because it is the oldest issue I own (originally published September 1985; I don't know if this is a reprint, and honestly, I don't actually care if it's legitimately almost forty years old or not). I'm still deciding if it's going to stay on top or if it's only there until I get the print of Journey into Mystery 85.
5. (Left, second row) Agent of Asgard Loki action figure, with Gram: I got him from the online Disney store. He is sitting because it's currently the only way he stays upright. Eventually I want to get stands for all my action figures so they can all stand up straight.
6. Agent of Asgard Loki Funko Pop: There are so many Loki Funko Pops. I got this one (my baby, my fave) from Amazon, because I think they've stopped producing the AoA Funko. I also have a Loki Amazon list, but it's specific to the shelf, so some of it is display supplies rather than merch or comics. Some of these Funko Pops are so low in supply right now that they cost $70-90. I want them anyway. (This one did not.)
7. Avengers-era (I think) Loki action figure: also got him from the online Disney store. He is not standing upright either; the corkboard and sticker page are working together to hold him up.
8. (Little bit hard to see) Loki ring: This is a gift from my brother. It's hard to tell in this picture, but there are also some green gems inlaid into the gold (paste, I'm pretty sure; I don't think he spent an obscene amount of money on real gold and emeralds lol).
9. Sylvie action figure: I got my girl from a local comic book store, but I know that she's available on the online Disney store, because I've had her on my merch wishlist almost since season one ended (I think she was in the second merch drop, which was a couple weeks after the finale). It's hard to tell, but she's got her lovely blade in hand as well.
10. TVA Loki Funko Pop: Also got him from Amazon. I got a bunch of Amazon gift cards for Christmas last year, and spent most of them on Loki Funko Pops and my Loki calendar.
11. Mobius Funko Pop: I don't remember if I got Mobius from Amazon in the same order as TVA Loki or if I got him at my comic book store, but I know he's on Amazon.
First Shelf (L to R)
12. Loki-centric or -featured graphic novels: I won't specify each individual graphic novel I have, but obviously the complete collection of AoA is in there, as are both volumes of Journey into Mystery. Loki: Mistress of Mischief is also there, but please do not assume that means I am supportive of this storyline. I was curious, and the most convenient way to read it was to get the book. I agree it's pretty yike in general and transphobic specifically.
13. Yes, that is a Lady Loki Funko Pop: She's in other comics besides Mistress of Mischief, as just Loki rather than Loki impersonating someone or a completely different person. Her debut is problematic, but so was Cloud's, so are many queer character's. But I do agree it's time to retire the 'Lady' title/distinction. She's a goddamn Princess, for gods' sake! (Well, or Queen, depending on the story and which realm you're talking about.) Give her her due! So let me put my money where my mouth is.
This is my Princess Loki Funko Pop. She's from Amazon. She is also serving as my bookend for my Loki graphic novel section. I superglued her feet to a clear bookend to make even these thematic.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
(Yes, that coaster says "Sheep are Friends." I'm allowed to have more than one hyperfixation.)
14. Sylvie Black Light Collection Funko Pop: I found her by chance at Target. I really like this collection, and it's one of the few times I've been tempted to get non-Loki Funko Pops because I like the aesthetic. She's having trouble standing up, though, so she's using a stand I got with one of the Funko Pops that's being used as a bookend (I don't remember which). They don't all come with stands anymore (maybe they never did; I've never owned very many), but I need to buy more stands, because a bunch of them are losing the ability to stand up.
15. Sylvie Funko Pop: Also either from Amazon or the comic book store, and she's also not standing very well lately.
16 and 17. Sylvie and Loki plushes: These are some of my favorite things in my collection. I got Loki from the same convention I got the watercolor print, so I don't know for sure who made him unfortunately. But I loved him so much that after the Loki series came out, I wanted a Sylvie plush a lot. I scoured the internet, Etsy in particular, for a long time. I finally found a store that looked promising and eventually came out with a Sylvie plush. I can't guarantee that this store made the Loki plush, because at the time I was looking for Sylvie, they had a different design for Loki, so I don't know if they used to have this design or if it was a different shop entirely. But the Sylvie creator at least (who also creates lots of other plushes from other media) is flightydolls on Etsy.
18. Classic Loki action figure: I got him from the online Disney store as well. Of all my action figures, he probably looks the most like his actor. He also came with
19. Kid Loki action figure: By contrast, he looks nothing like his actor. He's much more like the comic book likeness, but even that isn't as good as it probably could be. He also has the scepter? for some reason? Did I miss him having that in the show or the comic? It's significantly taller than he is, and at the angle he's fallen to in this photo you can barely see his face behind it.
20. Loki lanyard: This is from Box Lunch. I've been looking for a Loki lanyard for years. At the convention in 2020 (it was legit like a month before COVID hit the US), I ended up getting a Thor lanyard because it was the closest I could find.
Second Shelf (L to R)
21. Loki novels (most unaffiliated with Marvel): Since there's only four so far, I'll list them. Loki by Melvin Burgess (not read yet); Norse Mythology by Neil Gaiman (read many times and highly recommend); The Gospel of Loki by Joanne M. Harris (read about half); Loki: Where Mischief Lies by Mackenzi Lee (read twice, also highly recommend, and the only novel in this section that is affiliated with Marvel).
22. Second TVA Loki Funko Pop: I got this at my comic book store because I forgot I already got it from Amazon. I saved it instead of returning it, and ended up using it as a bookend.
23. Jotun Loki Funko Pop: I'm really annoyed about this one. I got him from Amazon with the intention of making him into a bookend, and I really love how great he looks. But he couldn't stand from the get-go, and he's the worst damaged. That's why he's at an angle in this photo; it's the only way he can stay standing. I still tried supergluing him to the bookend, but he couldn't stay upright long enough to dry. I think a spring in his head is bent, and isn't that just poetic. (And mean.)
24. Loki waffle iron: This is a gift from my sister. I'm hoping to eventually actually use it, but I'm not very good at motivating myself to cook beyond throwing something in the microwave or making a sandwich, and I've never actually made waffles before.
25. (Not visible but on the shelf) Loki magnets: These are going to take the place of the print on the top once I hang it up. I'm displaying them on a baking sheet, and may eventually need to buy a bigger one than the one I'm currently using.
Tumblr media
Halloween Loki is from the Marvel store in Downtown Disney in Orlando. I don't remember where I got the helmet magnet, but probably Five Below. The chibi Loki was from a store at a local mall, but you can probably find him online.
25. Loki travel mug: This is a gift from my cousin. I don't use reusable mugs or bottles because, regardless of the actual material, everything always tastes plasticky to me, so this will probably just stay on display, but I love the color of it.
26. Kid Loki Funko Pop: Pretty sure I got him from Amazon as well. He's also having trouble standing. Is this a normal issue to happen over time? And by over time I mean after like six months? Jotun Loki was broken upon receipt, but both Sylvies and Kid Loki stood fine for awhile before they started toppling.
27. Avengers-era Loki Funko Pop: Also from Amazon (most of my Loki shelf wishlist is either equipment to make my figures and Funkos stand better or Loki Funko Pops from different eras or collections).
28. Loki-centric or -featured single issue comics: Again, I won't post all that I have in this section, but notable highlights include four separate copies of Loki issue 1 (variant covers), 2 copies of each issue following (also variant covers), 3 copies of Original Sin: Thor and Loki in the Tenth Realm issue 2 (not variant covers; I just kept forgetting I already owned it, apparently), and numerous single issues of comics I own in more complete collections as graphic novels. For some of my favorite covers, see my post of my top ten single issue covers.
Bottom Shelf (L to R)
29. Miscellaneous comics not featuring Loki: Most of these are single issues, often from Free Comic Book Day, but also included are Guardians of the Galaxy by Al Ewing and The Defenders by Al Ewing.
30. Jotun Loki Soda Pop Funko: He was not supposed to be a bookend. He was supposed to be where regular Jotun Loki is standing. Instead he's a bookend, because like hell was I about to buy another regular Funko and wait another several days to make my last bookend. Anyway, I got him at Target, also by chance.
31. Agent of Asgard Loki Funko box: The actual Funko Pop is pre-ego death AoA Loki. He's the same Loki, but after ego-death his look and actions and the things he says just make me so giddy. The back of the Funko box had a picture from the comic of Loki post-ego death, so I had to cut him out and put him on display because I love him.
32. Loki puzzle: It's still in the box. I had this grand plan when I started conceiving of transferring the collection to its own shelf that I would put it together and frame it, but it's going to be the size of a poster (not to mention take me ages), and the location the shelf is in my room just is not feasible for a framed poster to look good near it. And I think the box looks good on display, too, honestly.
Okay, now that you know what I already have (if you were patient enough to read to the end), I can make update posts periodically of what I get to expand my collection in the future.

(Loki x Teen Reader) 1/3
⚠️ SPOILERS for Loki S1EP5 “Journey Into Mystery.” ⚠️
Summary: After being pruned, Loki finds himself in a prison existing outside of the timeline where he just so happens to meet other versions of himself. While The Void, Loki meets a young girl living amongst his Variants who catches his curiosity. When Loki finally learns her identity, the God of Mischief is left nearly speechless.
Warnings: None.

The Void
Being killed by the mad titan, that was one thing. But being ‘pruned’ by the TVA was another. When Loki had been pruned by Renslayer, he had woken up in a place unknown. At first, he thought that he was dead, and that he was in hell. But… Turns out, he was somewhere else entirely. It was called The Void. This was the place where the TVA sent its Varients who were found guilty of committing a crime against the sacred timeline. It was also where things ended up when the TVA reset the timeline. The TVAs dumping grounds. This place was very dangerous. Especially for those who weren’t skilled in magic, or fighting. But luckily for Loki, he was skilled in both. Surely he have some chance of survival? After all, he now had the guidance of the unexpected. Other Varients of himself who had ended up here just like him. The other Loki’s stood around him. Old Loki, Boastful Loki, Kid Loki, and…Alligator Loki. The purple sky rumbled loudly. This definitely wasn’t the place to be. They would need to get back to shelter as soon as they could.
With his bag thrown over his shoulder, Old Loki sighs. “We should get moving.” He looked at the others. Of course, TVA Loki was still trying to process all of this. I mean, other versions of him? One being a child, and a reptile? It was absurd. Absolutely absurd! But considering TVA Loki didn’t quite understand where he was, he had to entrust in his other Varients to lead the way. TVA Loki huffed. “Well… Lead the way.” He told them.
The other Loki’s were about to lead TVA Loki, but Boastful Loki looked around. “Wait… Where is she?”
“I’m sorry?” TVA Loki quizzed.
Boastful Loki huffed. “She’s done disappeared on us again.” He looked at Old Loki, Kid Loki, and Alligator Loki. Kid Loki rolled his eyes. “Why did you expect? She likes to wonder off. I say we leave her, she’ll find her way back on her own.” TVA Loki stared, completely puzzled. Who was she? Who the hell were they talking about? TVA Loki shakes his head. “She? Who is she? Who are we talking about here?”
Old Loki looked back up at the sky, it rumbled once more. He exhaled. “We’re not leaving her behind, it’s too dangerous out here.” He told them. Old Loki looked around, his eyes scanning their surroundings. “She’s around, I know she didn’t go too far off.”
“She’s stupid for wondering off at all.” Kid Loki protested. “If we leave her to fend for herself, she’ll learn her lesson, the way I see it.”
“Shut up.” Boastful Loki remarked. “Maybe you’re the one we should leave behind?” He rolled his eyes. Kid Loki could definitely be a pain in the ass to deal with at times. Boastful Loki gripped his makeshift hammer, his weapon in hand. He too scanned their surroundings. “Y/Ns a clever girl.” He nods. TVA Loki narrowed his eyes. Y/N, huh? Just who was this Y/N that they were speaking of? “Besides, its not like she couldn’t handle herself. She’s a hell of a fighter, she won’t go down without a fighter that’s for damn sure.”
TVA Loki grits his teeth. “Will someone please tell me what the hell is going on here?! Who is Y/N?!”
“An idiot.” Kid Loki laughs. Kid Loki yelled when he felt something sharp stick into his side. It wasn’t enough to draw blood, but enough for him to feel pain. “Hey!” He exclaimed, and in confusion.
“You’re the idiot.” A voice spoke.
All of the Loki’s heads turn when Y/N had appeared out of nowhere beside Kid Loki. She had used a invisibility spell to cloak herself while she had scounter the area to make sure they weren’t being watched. She had just returned to hear Kid Loki’s comment about her. Boastful Loki couldn’t help but let out a laugh. “There she is.”
“One, that hurt. Two, where the hell you’d run off to?” Kid Loki quizzed. Y/N placed her dagger back in its holster. At first, she didn’t answer. She gaze turned from him, to TVA Loki. Her eyes grew wide at the sight of him. Though, she was quick to break the gaze. “I was making sure no one was tailing us.” She finally answered. She then looked to Old Loki, her brows furrowed. “Another one?” Old Loki huffed, nodding his head. TVA Loki couldn’t help but stare at the so called Y/N. He studied her. She was fairly young, a teenager. The girls Y/H/C was pulled up into a tight ponytail out of her face. The girl wore an armored leather outfit, much similar to what Lady Sif would wear. The girl had a dagger holstered at her waist. TVA Lokis eyes grew wide. “Hold on a minute. Is she…a Loki?” He quizzed. “A teenage girl is a Loki?” This of course could only earn a laugh from Boastful Loki. He shakes his head. “Oh heavens no. Not even close.” He then looked to Y/N. “No offense, love.” Y/N could simply shrug her shoulders lightly in reply. It was hard these days for her to actually be offended by either of the Loki’s.
“Not even close? Then who the hell is she?” TVA glared at Y/N. If she wasn’t a Loki, then why was here with other Loki’s? “It’s a long story.” Old Loki remarked. “One we don’t have time for. At least, now here of all places. We should get back to shelter.” He told the group of Loki’s, and Y/N. Y/N nods her head in agreement. All the others seemed to agree with Old Loki’s idea as well. Taking shelter was best.
So, Y/N and the Loki Varients headed for shelter.
~~
The entire walk back to shelter had been taken in silence, well expect for the few times that TVA Loki had asked them a bunch of questions. Aside from that, they all choose to keep their mouths shut. After what seemed like forever, that all arrived at their unground bunker which that had been hiding out in. Boastful Loki unlocked the door, and pulled it up and open. He looked to Y/N. “Ladies first.” He stepped aside, allowing the young girl to enter before them. Y/N simply thanked Boastful Loki with the nod of her head, before getting onto the ladder, and begins to crawl down in the hideout. Soon after she got inside the bunker, the others filed inside as well. They were all extremely tired, and were need of rest. Once they were in in the bunker, Boastful Loki closed the door behind them. “Home sweet home.” He grinned, walking over towards a chair. He would never get tired of this place. “Yes….home.” Old Loki huffed. Boastful Loki and Old Loki both took seats in chairs aside one another. Alligator Loki had slid down a slide, and into a small pool of water. Kid Loki had placed himself in the chair which was considered his throne.
As for Y/N, she had wondered over to the corner of the room. In the corner of the room, was a small makeshift bed on the floor. Her bed. And stacked beside the makeshift bed was a bunch of books. Some of them had been placed there, and some books were sitting on top. There was also a pile of food that she’d scavenged for dinner, along with a bunch of blankets. “Finally…” Y/N muttered, as she took a seat down on her bed.
TVA Loki remained standing, his hands resting on his hips. “So…This is where you live?”
“Yep.” Boastful Loki nods. “I know it’s not paradise, but it’s certainly a lot more comfortable than being out there.” He sunk down in his chair Old Loki nods in agreement. “And it’s much safer than being out there in the storm.”
TVA Loki nodded, looking at his surroundings. “That is true. Safe is good isn’t it?” He spotted a spare seat, and decided that he too would sit down. Honestly, he had so many questions about this place, the other Loki’s, and especially about the young girl that was with them. Who was she? Why was she here? TVA Loki exhaled, clasping his hands together. “So… This Y/N, who is she exactly?” He quizzed. He was genuinly curious. “I mean, she’s a Varient that’s given. But if she’s not one of us, then who is she, what’s her story?”
Old Loki leaned in. “Her story?”
“Yes.” TVA Loki nods. “I mean, if she’s here than it means she’s caused some sort of nexus event.” TVA Loki looked at Y/N. The teenager was sitting on her bed, twirling her dagger between her fingers. Kid Loki sat on his throne, sipping from a juice box, his feet up. He looked at the other Loki’s. “Duh, isn’t that obvious? We all caused a nexus event. It’s how the TVA found us in the first place.” Boastful Loki could only let out a groan. That kid was getting on his last nerve. But to be fair, he was a Loki. He wouldn’t put it past him to say something like that.
TVA Loki looked back. “What’s her nexus event?” He sighs. “What crime did she commit?”
Boastful Loki and Old Loki shared a look. Old Loki sighs. “It’s very intriguing, to say the least.” He sat up a little. “We can’t say for certain that she was guilty of anything. Maybe, she was just unfortunate.” TVA Loki pressed his lips together. “I can’t imagine what she could have possible done to be sent to this place. She’s just a kid.”
“That may be true, but we all know the TVA doesn’t give a damn. Kid or not, they saw her as a criminal.” Boastful Loki pointed out. “They took her from her timeline, sentenced her, and casted her out to this place.” He shakes his head, feeling digust. TVA Loki exhaled. From what Sylvie had told him, and seeing Y/N and Kid Loki here, that statement seemed to be true. The TVA had no care for children whatsoever. A Varient was a Varient in their eyes. They had a job to complete, no matter the cost. “How long has she been here with all of you?” TVA Loki asked. Kid Loki looked over at them, still sipping the juice. His head peered up. “Too long.” He groaned. Y/Ns head turned, looking over at Kid Loki. Typical. She shakes her head, before turning her attention back to the dagger in her hand.
“For quite a while, actually.” Old Loki responds. “She’s been here for a long time. Almost as long as us.” TVA Loki nods, but titled his head. He sat up in his seat a little.
“How did you meet her?” He asked.
“Pretty simple, actually.” Boastful Loki replied. “We were out looking for supplies, when we spotted her laying unconscious. We made a decision together. We brought her back here, so she’d be safe. When she woke she was frantic. Scared and confused. Upset even.” TVA Loki nods as Boastful Loki explained to him. “Once she calmed down, we began to ask her questions. She then explained what happened to her, with the TVA.” He then let’s out a faint laugh. “Turns out she has quite the past. But not just any past, a past with us.”
TVA Loki blinked. “I beg your pardon?” He shakes his head. “What do you mean?”
Old Loki shrugged his shoulders. “I’m not sure we’re really entitled to be the one to tell you. It’s…personal.” He told him. TVA Loki’s brows furrowed upwards. Personal? That only made him have more questions. “Personal? But what does that mean, exactly?” He stared at them.
“If you want to know so badly, then ask her.” Kid Loki remarked. “I’m sure she’d be happy to tell you all out it, isn’t that right, Y/N?” He looked at her, and snickered. Y/N looked up. “What?” She had placed her dagger down on the floor beside her. “What did you just say?” Kid Loki smirked, hopping out of his seat. He walked over to the corner of the room where Y/N was, stopping a few feet away from her. “You might as well tell him about your past since he’s here.” Y/N clenched her jaw. That was none of his business. Sometimes she regretted ever telling them about her past life, her life before the TVA had come after her. She stood to her feet. “Shut up, no I don’t. Besides that’s none of your business.” She sneered.
“You’re just too scared, Y/N. You’re too much of a coward to say anything.” Kid Loki told her. “You’re just a scared little girl.” Boastful Loki laughs. “Oh here we go.”
“I’m not scared.” Y/N defended. “You don’t know anything about me.” TVA Loki was taken back by the young girls sudden outburst of anger. “So why don’t you just shut it, and go back sitting around and doing nothing.” Old Loki groans. “You two, come on now. Now isn’t the time for one of your arguments. We’re all just very tired, and we need rest.” He reminded. Y/N looked away, crossing her arms over her chest. Kid Loki laughs. “Look at her, looking away. She knows I’m right.” Kid Loki turned to the other Loki’s. “She’s scared of telling the truth, because she’s scared she’ll get attached. To him.” Kid Loki pointed at TVA Loki. This could only make TVA Loki titled his head. “Why would she get attached to me? I’ve never met her in my life, she doesn’t know me.” TVA Loki countered. Boastful Loki and Old Loki shared that same expression. They knew where this conversation was going. Boastful Loki sighs again. “Actually… That’s where you’re wrong.”
“She does know you.” Kid Loki nods. “But just not this version of you.”
“What are you talking about?” TVA Loki blinks.
Y/N could her feel stomach in knots. She didn’t want this conversation to happen, not now. Why couldn’t they just let it go? “Please… Don’t.”
“I said that she has a personal connection with us.” Old Loki began. Y/N closed her eyes. She didn’t want this to happen, but what point would there be in trying to stop it? The truth being told. Regardless, the truth would come out. “Yes. Which is exactly what I don’t understand!” TVA Loki protested. “You say she has a personal connection, but what do you mean? Have we done something to wrong her? Killed someone she loved? I don’t understand.” He exclaimed. Y/N remained where she was, not wanting to move an inch. She kept her distance from them.
“Quite the opposite actually.” Old Loki remarked. “She is from another timeline. In this timeline, she is from Asgard.” TVA Loki stared. So she was another Asgardian much like them? Okay, but that still left him clueless. “So she’s Asgardian?” He shakes his head. “Great.” Though there was sarcasm in his tone. “That still doesn’t answer my question. How is she connected to us?”
“She’s-“ Kid Loki began. Y/N opened her eyes, and swallowed. It was better if she just came out and said it. It had to be HER would spoke the words, not one of them. “Daughter.” Was all she could manage to say.
TVA Loki paused. “What?” Boastful Loki, Kid Loki, and Old Loki all went dead silent. They hadn’t expected for her to say it. None of them had. Y/N felt the tears in the back of her eyes. From the second she saw TVA Loki, she wanted to tell him. Where she was from, who she was to him. But in the back of her mind, she knew she couldn’t tell him. What would be the point? He had just been another Varient of Loki. The only difference between him and the other Loki’s, was he looked like HER Loki. See.. Y/N was in fact Loki’s daughter, but not by blood. Y/N had been adopted by Loki as a small child, and raised in the palace with the help of Loki’s mother Frigga, and his brother Thor. Asgard had been her home. Loki had been her family. “My daughter?” TVA Loki quizzed.
“Yes.” Y/N replied, barely audible.
TVA Loki went silent. He needed a moment to comprehend this. This was…insane. A part of him wanted to believe that this had all been some sort of illusion. An illusion meant to distract him, catch him off guard. But, had it? By the way the girl reacted, could it be a trick?
“My…daughter.” TVA Loki repeated. He felt a lump in his throat. “D-daughter?” Y/N nodded slowly. “Daughter. As in…my daughter from another timeline?” Y/N nodded again. TVA Loki stared at her in shock, his mouth opening slightly to speak, but nothing came out. “Th…This is…this is insane!” He then burst into laughter. “Honestly. I’ve seen a lot of tricks and illusions in my lifetime. But this is…this is the craziest!”
“It isn’t a trick, or an illusion.” Old Loki replied. ”The girl speaks only the truth.”
“Maybe that’s what she wants?” TVA Loki pointed out. “She wants you to believe this trick, this game that she’s been playing with you. Right? If you’re really all Loki’s, you’d clearly see that.”
Y/Ns expression dropped. He didn’t believe her? She looked down. She should have expected this, right? After all, he was a Loki. “I’m not lying…”
“We believe her.” Kid Loki replied. “Besides we’re all trapped in this prison. What would be the point of her lying to us?” Boastful Loki and Old Loki nod their heads in agreement. They knew Y/N had only told them the truth since arriving here. She was always truthful. No matter what. TVA Loki shook his head. “I….You can’t be serious. There’s a chance this is all a lie. Or a dream! Or something! She’s playing a game with you in order to survive.” TVA Loki looked at Y/N. “Right? You deceive them, because it’s your only way of survival. Because unless you lie, you know you’ll die here, isn’t that it?” He quizzed her.
Y/N looked back up. “I…I’m being honest.”
TVA Loki narrowed his eyes at her. “Is that so?” Y/N nods her head. She would do anything to prove it to him. She had nothing to hide. “I…I get that you don’t want to believe me.” She understood that learning such a thing wouldn’t be easy to process. And he didn’t want to let his guard down, he didn’t want to be deceived. Y/N sighed. “I wouldn’t either. I won’t lie. But you must trust me when I say that I am telling the truth. Please…please let me show you.” Y/N begged. “Please.” She begged. TVA Loki stared at her. He wanted to deny her, push her away, laugh it off and walk away. Not believe her, not trust her. It was because he couldn’t ever imagine any version of him being a parent. It didn’t suit him. He could hardly look after himself, and his own needs. Being responsible for someone else’s wasn’t in his nature. But yet, somehow, he found himself wanting to believe Y/N. Something inside him, was pulling him towards her. To believe what she says. His heart tells him to. But his mind and logic, tells him not to.
“Give her a chance.” Boastful Loki nods. “We all did.”
TVA Loki takes a deep breath. He didn’t like to open himself up, let alone to a girl who was a complete and total stranger. But he had the feeling the other Loki’s wouldn’t let him go about this. Not until he gave her a chance. Not until he could see for himself if what the girl had claimed was the truth. That she was his daughter in an alternate timeline. “All right.” He agreed. “If you truly are my daughter. Then prove it.”
“Don’t worry, I will.” Y/N whispered softly. The minute those words left Y/N’s lips, she knew that she could never take them back.
All she could hope for now was that she could prove it to him….

Whatever you do, do not think about how Kid Loki is probably the leader of his gang of Lokis because he's been in the Void the longest. And definitely don't think about how Boastful Loki betrayed his trust, and how this is probably a common occurrence in the Void among the Lokis. And really, really don't think about how Classic Loki was all Kid Loki had left, and now he's dead. And I really hope you don't think about how the only friend Kid Loki has now is Alligator Loki, and how he probably thinks that he'll lose him, too, like he loses everyone he makes the mistake of trusting.

Holy crap. Look at Kate Herron's shirt. When the Loki director pops up on Zoom, she's donning the most glorious image anyone will see since we laid eyes on Alligator Loki: A Teletubby wearing the Loki horns. Are the Teletubbies Loki variants? Sure, why not!
"I got it on Instagram," Herron says. "There's an amazing comic book artist and he designed it. He made it into a T-shirt for me because I saw it and was like, 'That's incredible. Can I get it for the press junket?'"
Herron, no big deal, just pulled off an MCU miracle. Entering a mammoth franchise with, notably, some of Sex Education's best episodes under her belt, the director deftly brought a plot involving multiverses and Richard E. Grant in a cape and superhero mumbo-jumbo to brilliant, beautiful life. Following Loki's tear-jerking, mind-bending finale, the series has been dubbed by critics and fan's alike as one of Marvel's best efforts—which is no small feat. Of course, we needed to ask Herron how she stuck the landing. Following the most epic finale you, me, or any Teletubby can remember, Herron talked to Esquire about the Miss Minutes jump scare, filming the finale's introduction of He Who Remains, and why she won't return for Season Two of Loki.
ESQ: How are you doing?
KH: I'm good. I think I feel very relieved that I don't have to sit on the secret of He Who Remains anymore, It was a very big secret to hold, but for an important reason, right? Because it's such a good character to be launching. So yeah, I feel good.
ESQ: Loking back at your old interviews, you have such a good poker face when you're avoiding spoilers, but you're also incredible at giving aggregator crumbs.
KH: I play a lot of board games, so you need to be quite good at strategy and poker faces so people can't always read your hand. So I think weirdly board games have prepared me more for working with Marvel than anything else.
ESQ: I have to start with the Miss Minutes jump scare. What went into the decision to make her a memeable, creepy apparition in that moment?
KH: I love horror, and my executive, Kevin Wright, knew that. Me and him were talking about Episode Six and I remember that he was like, "Oh, maybe you could do something creepy of Miss Minutes." And I immediately was like, "We have to do a jump scare!" Because I haven't got to do a good jump scare in anything yet and I really wanted to, because a lot of my friends are horror directors. I was like, "I can't let them down." So I was really excited to have a shot at doing a jump scare. And Miss Minutes, it was really fun testing it because we'd kind of bring different people into the edit, me and Emma McCleave, the editor, and we'd just play it for them, watch them, and check that they were jumping when we cut it.
ESQ: One thing that I think is getting missed in all the craziness is that we see a peak moment of the love story between Loki and Sylvie. Where does the finale leave the companionship that they found in each other?
KH: When I started the show, that was always in the DNA of it—that Loki was going to meet a version of himself and they were going to fall in love. And that's honestly what drew me into the story, because I directed Sex Education. I love stories about self-love and finding your identity and your people. Loki is such a broken character when we join him, and seeing him go on this amazing journey with all this growth and finding the good points of himself in seeing her—I think that was very beautiful. It's also paying respect to the fact that Sylvie's in a very different place to him. She hasn't had the Mobius therapy session. She even says, in Episode Five, "I don't know how to do this. I don't have friends." You really feel for her because she has been on the run and her whole life has been this mission.
It's almost funny because these characters are thousands of years old, but it's almost teenage the way they both talk about their feelings for each other. I think everyone can relate to that, right? In any new relationship, there's always that kind of awkwardness and like, "Oh God, am I too keen? The important thing was the hope—like when Sylvie and him kiss, I think it is genuine and it is coming from a place of these feelings they have for each other. Obviously she does push them through that door, but for me it was a goodbye and it was with heart. But it's kind of a goodbye in the sense of like, I care about you, but I'm going to do my mission because that's where I'm at.
ESQ: I would pay for you to direct the Sex Education episode where Otis falls through a portal into the multiverse, into the main MCU.
KH: He really looks like a Loki as well, which is so funny. I always thought that. I was like Asa does look like a Loki. It didn't come to pass or anything, but it would be interesting to do a Sex Ed-Marvel crossover. I wonder who all the different characters would be within the MCU, but it would be quite funny.
ESQ: You're right, he could pull off a teenage Loki.
KH: Yeah, like a teen or a very young ’20s, maybe. But it was just funny because I was like, "Oh yeah, he looks a bit like Tom." I wonder how they could do it. I'm sure they'll find a way to do a crossover anyway.
ESQ: Can you just take me back to filming with Jonathan Majors? And you capturing him in such a compelling, quirky, scary way—I'm sure your direction was such a big part of that.
KH: I was just so excited because Jonathan is an actor that everyone was so excited about. He's like a chameleon in everything he does and he's so talented. I just feel as a director so lucky to have worked on this because I feel like I've got to work with some of the best actors out there. And when you're with Jonathan, you know you're in the presence of just someone really magnificent. For me as a director, it's giving him the space to play and feel safe. Because we filmed it all in a week, but it was a lot to film in a week. So I think it was really about creating a space where he could have fun and find this character because he's going to be playing him for a long time.
ESQ: What went into the decision to introduce us to the good guy first?
KH: I remember in the script, he comes up the elevator and it was so casual. I was like, "Oh man, that's so fun." And then Jonathan, when he plays it, he's relaxed. And I the thing he used to talk about a lot was that this is a character who's been on his own for a long time. Because at the beginning, we introduced him in a space in the universe that feels like this very busy, loud place, but actually, when we see the Citadel, he's surrounded by the Timeline and he's very isolated. Even in his costume with [designer] Christine Wada, for the idea of his outfit, he's a character who's existed for multiple millennia. So it's like, OK, let's pull from lots of different places so you can't necessarily pin down which time or which place he might be from. Also the fact that his clothes look comfy. They were like pajamas because he's living at home. He loved the idea of the office [being] the only finished part of the citadel and that the rest of the citadel was like this Sunset Boulevard kind of dusty, dilapidated space. And just again showed that he probably just keeps himself to his office. All those elements definitely fed into Jonathan's performance in terms of balancing the extrovert, but also the introvert of someone that would be living by themselves and only talking to a cartoon clock.
ESQ: It really is incredible how you pull a nail-biting finale with this battle of wits and dialogue.
KH: It was really exciting because I feel like Episode Five was a lot of fun because we got to play into all the joy of the different versions of Loki, but also just the fact that it was our big usual Marvel third act, right? Like it was where our big spectacle was as they were fighting this big monster. But I love that our finale bookends, right? We began with a conversation and we ended with one.
ESQ: I also loved that there was no end-credits scene—I think it makes the ending that much more impactful. Was there ever an end credit scene on the table, or any kind of a stinger?
KH: I think no, because weirdly, we never went after the kind of mid-credit sequences. I think we always just were thinking just of the story and where we knew we wanted it to end. For example, Episode Four, originally Loki was deleted and then we went straight to him waking up. And it was only in the edit I was like, “I think it'd be really cool actually. We should move that scene to mid-credits because then we'll really feel like Loki has died." Because if I watched that moment and then it went to the credits, I'd be like, "What?!" And then when we were talking about the best way to talk about Season Two, we were like, "Okay, well, let's do that like a little mid-credits at the end because that is exciting to confirm it in that way." I'd say we found both of those in the edit just because we wanted to kind of do it right and have a fun nod to something that Marvel does so well.
ESQ: Is there anything you can tell about the future of the story you've told here—or even where you personally would like to go with the studio or otherwise going forward?
KH: Yeah, so I'm just on for Season One. So I'm so proud of the story we told. I mean, it was amazing getting to set up the TVA and take Loki on this whole new journey. And I mean, I think we've left so much groundwork for his character, and as people see in the comics, there's so much more to be delved into. And I just am excited honestly to just see where all the characters go. Like, who is B-15? What did she see in those memories and where did Ravonna go and where is Loki? I think for me, we've set up these questions and I look forward to seeing them being answered as a fan in the next season.
ESQ: Absolutely. Well, can we please work on the Asa Butterfield Loki?
KH: I will call him and I'll be like, "You want to do some crazy Marvel crossover?"

So I definitely liked some of it. But once again we barely got any new information. Just an FYI though, it’s been confirmed there’s going to be a season 2 so I guess it’s not too bad that they’re going so slowly. But I still wish they would give us more background. We barely saw anything of Sylvie/Loki’s childhood and we still don’t know what her nexus event was-is it because she knew she was adopted? Because she was born a girl in her prime form?
They just came and took her-and yes don’t be surprised the TVA would hurt a child-look at who they are. Loki is alive and appears to be in some Loki variant dimension (is the black guy a Loki or a Thor? He had a hammer so I can’t really tell). Classic Loki, Kid Loki, Alligator Loki! Love it. I wonder if Mobius is in some Mobius variant dimension? We see him later in the trailer so he’s not dead either.
I kept hearing how this episode was going to be weird and do new stuff but honestly I feel like I waited through the whole thing to get the best scene at the end. Would’ve been nice to see the other Lokis in the beginning. They better all be in the next two episodes for all the screen time!
Can we have one goddamn episode where Loki doesn’t get beat up?!
We don’t have to see him constantly throwing people left and right but can we have one fight that he actually wins?! Where is the whole “we’re going to see his powers in a new way?” Dude can stop a building but he hardly ever even tries to fight back?! After growing up in Asgard? And he gets hurt that easily? Can be thrown by a human? This is the guy who was able to handle Captain America, who even held his own with Thor for a while; who fucking survived the Hulk and got back up? Who “packed a wallop”? You’re telling me a punch from memory Sif hurts him that much? What the hell is wrong with this? I keep waiting for BAMF Loki with at least some new powers and I’m tired of hearing “Oh just wait for the next episode”. And don’t write me and give me excuses-this part-which is my main beef with the show-is basically just bad writing. I heard the head writer never watched any of the previous Loki movies before making the series. I thought that was a joke, but now I’m not so sure.
Btw memory Sif, instead of screaming about what he did to you, wait until he’s asleep and cut off one side of the hair on his head. Don’t get mad-get even. That’s actually the best approach with someone like Loki. Many pranksters-even when they go too far-have a weird way of respecting people who stand up to them using their own methods.
While Loki definitely has some narcissistic traits, (and it looks like it’s going to get turned up to 11 if they go with Sylki 🤔) I wouldn’t say he’s an entire narcissist or that that defines him. Hello-look at where he grew up. Asgard is literally a narcissistic planet built on lies and a racial superiority complex. Royalty especially is going to be that way. Funny how Loki is usually the only one held accountable for Asgard’s sins.
I’ve always seen him more as a borderline with passive aggressive traits. One of those people who act superior because they’ve had too in the environment they’ve grown up in, been indoctrinated into it-and on some level believe it- but on another level hate themselves and try to cover it up with more grandstanding. His pranks were ways of passively-aggressively acting out when he couldn’t (or wouldn’t) act out in other ways. Emotionally neglected kids often do stupid and sometimes mean shit for attention because even bad attention is better than none. Loki at first hated the idea of other Lokis too and wanted to be the only one. They tried this narcissist stuff on Tony Stark too and while he definitely had some traits he wasn’t full blown either. And look how that turned out-Tony helped save the universe.
B-15 finding her memories and conscience because of Sylvie. She seems like she used to be a nice person and not the sadistic cop she came off as before. I’m guessing the TVA brainwashes it’s cops to be mean and aggressive. Ugh. Renslayer knows everybody’s a variant and she’s covering it up. It would seem she’s a variant herself because she used to be a time cop. Why cover it up? What does she know? She seems very conflicted-especially toward Mobius. It really hurt her to vaporize him. I’m thinking she’s in love with him. Mobislayer? I’m very happy Mobius is freeing himself and helping and I know we will see him again; but I have some serious issues with some of the stuff he did in this episode.
The time keepers being fake doesn’t surprise me. But who is really running the show? Will we find out next week? At the rate they’re going I’m not so sure-but at least we’re getting a season 2.

Nothing in the Parenting Books Prepared Me For This
15. Going Out
Synopsis: Thor needs some new furniture so Mobius and the littles come shopping with him.
Word count: 2,229
Stand Alone?: Not really
Warnings: mischief making

Tumblr media
It was time to get Thor out of the living room and into his yurt. Mobius made a list of all the things they’d need. Of course, Loki wished he could conjure it like he did with everyone’s wardrobes, but making an outfit that would get worn for a day was much easier than making a functional bed meant to stay there for months or maybe years.
Some experts were called out for the plumbing and wiring (Mobius may have been smart, but that wasn’t his area of expertise), but they wouldn’t arrive until the group had left to go get Thor some furniture.
At the idea of furniture shopping, Loki decided it would be the most fun if he was small for the day. Mobius tried his best to get the toddler into some clothes, but Loki had decided he just couldn’t sit still.
“What are you doing?” Mobius asked as he turned around from finding Loki some pants and caught him sitting up on the changing table playing with the snaps of his green onesie.
Loki froze like he was caught doing something he wasn’t supposed to, and Mobius handed him a busy toy to fidget with.
The last thing Loki needed was instruction on mischief, but Mobius still gave him a plush bear with clothes that had similar snaps, zippers, buttons, and the like to keep him from taking his own clothes off.
When Mobius was done getting Loki dressed, the boy set the busy bear down and took his alligator with him. Little rabbit ears flopped behind him from his hoodie as he ran to look for Sylvie, but ended up bumping into Thor.
“Aw, good morning, brother!” Thor sing-songed as Loki stumbled backwards.
Loki put his arms out to be picked up and Thor let Loki’s legs wrap around his middle.
“How old is little Loki today?”
Loki showed Thor three fingers.
“So a big boy, huh?”
“Bi’ boy!” Loki repeated.
Then a bright laugh was heard from the nursery, a happy, babyish one. Loki got down to go see. Mobius was helping Sylvie get dressed and she was laughing at the little jacket. It was like Loki’s silver bunny hoodie, but this one was a white lamb, instead.
She stomped her feet excitedly and watched as Mobius fumbled with the zipper on it.
“Look!” She said, “We’re twins!”
Loki was definitely still slightly smaller than her in headspace age, but the difference wasn’t noticeable.
“Twins!” he agreed, flipping up his hood like hers, while Mobius packed their diaper bags.
The back was put on Sylvie’s carseat and Mobius debated if it would be necessary to get a second baby one or second big kid one, just in case. But, neither of the littles seemed to mind being in their usual configuration of Loki in the baby seat and Sylvie buckled in like a big girl.
The car didn’t have much more space in it after bags, the littles, and Thor, so Mobius made sure to attach a Uhaul trailer to it. They had it for one more day after building the yurt. The company letting them use it obviously thought it would take much longer than a day for full base assembly. The toddlers talked with Thor about the “aminals” they saw out the window sometimes and about how much they liked being in the car.
When Loki started to feel sick he began to self soothe, sucking on his thumb and feeling himself regress smaller as he shut his eyes.
Sylvie was in the same boat, and they were both out by the time Mobius pulled into the parking lot of the big box furniture store.
The store had carts that had specialty little seats which the two were buckled into and subsequently fought over who had more room. However, they quieted down as they were mesmerized by the lighting section. Loki even found a ceiling fan named after himself which everyone thought was very odd, but Thor actually liked his brother’s choice, and it was relatively inexpensive, so they put it in the cart.
Loki and Sylvie found the bulk of the experience tedious, at least from where they were, stuck in their seats. When Thor and Mobius had their backs turned, discussing something boring like rugs or curtains, the tots decided it was an opportune time for an illusion so they could sneak away.
They cast duplicates of themselves and hopped down to go look at all the cool displays. Sylvie led, taking Loki’s hand in her own and leading him around. They explored the different departments in the large showroom, crawling over the beds, pretending to wash their hands in sinks, opening and closing every cabinet, oven, and fridge.
But after a while, the two started to get sick of just exploring, and decided they should get Thor and play hide-and-seek. They went back to the aisle Thor and Mobius had been looking through when they left, and were alarmed to find he wasn’t there. Loki started to nervously shake. “No no!” Sylvie quickly tried to comfort him as his lip trembled. “No! Don’t cry! We’ll find them! We will!” she tried, as a reassurance to herself just as much as him.
It took Mobius about three minutes to realize they were gone, finally noticing the smell of Loki’s baby powder was no longer present. But as soon as he did, an announcement came over the PA system; “Attention shoppers, two littles have been found, they seem to be around 2-ish? If you’re missing your littles, please come to the front desk.” The voice was of someone who didn’t seem like they were used to being around littles, or kids at all, for that matter.
Mobius sighed and looked at Thor, “Do you want to come get them with me?” he asked.
Thor agreed. They both looked pissed, at least as pissed as it was reasonable to be at two mischief-making toddlers when they were not present. Mobius calmed himself down as he approached the counter, though. “Hi, those two little ones back there are mine,” he said.
The person behind the counter gave him a pitiful look and turned to the sad looking littles behind them. Loki was sucking his thumb and had tear streaks all down his face. “Seevee did it,” he choked out as Thor picked him up. Both the big god and the older man had softened seeing how fearful both of the littles appeared to be. Mobius took Sylvie, “is that true?” he asked.
Sylvie mirrored Loki, “um… no?” she said nervously.
Mobius smiled and let her hide from the world in the crick of his neck. “Don’t you two sneak away again,” he said with minimal force. “You know daddy keeps toys in your diaper bags for you if you’re bored,” he chided both of them.
“I would’ve been happy to explore if you two would’ve asked,” Thor added.
“Tor play?” Loki asked, looking up.
Thor looked at Mobius unsure of what he should say, and Mobius shook his head.
“When we get home we’ll play, how about that?”
Loki appeared even more heartbroken by this news as the adults took them back to the cart. Mobius found some things in his bag for them to play with and some pacifiers.
Loki was handed Croki to hopefully cheer him up. Sylvie on the other hand, looked more annoyed than anything. Annoyed at Loki for getting them caught, annoyed at the workers for making them sit behind the counter until their daddy came to get them, even though one lady was really sweet and tried to cheer them up while they waited, and annoyed at Mobius for making her sit and be patient as Thor picked out a bedframe and a mattress and stupid pillows and their stupid pillowcases. She sat and pouted, waiting for this to all end.
Thor looked at the list Mobius had made for him. For him, it felt like a big scavenger hunt. Mobius leaned against the cart while pushing it along, “Are you bored?” he asked Sylvie.
She pointedly did not look at him or answer.
He poked both of the littles to make sure they were both really there, but acted as if it were an embellishment to his next idea. “Do you want to play ‘what’s in daddy’s bag’?” he asked.
It was a last resort, and was almost never used, but he always made sure to pack two or three random toys as a surprise for them if things started going this way.
Sylvie seemed to like that idea and Mobius moved the bag in front of him to let her see better. Loki looked up and watched with interest, too. Mobius unzipped one pocket. He pulled out the first mystery toy. It was a wooden board toy with different metal latches to open doors. Like the teddy bear, it wasn’t necessary to teach these things to Sylvie or Loki, as it would just cause more troubles, but it was definitely something that would keep Sylvie busy for the rest of the store trip. She played with it and felt very proud since the back said three and up, hence Mobius’ hesitancy to pack it in the first place.
Thor ran back to the cart breathlessly. “That’s all,” he said, dumping a handful of things into the cart and showing Mobius the list. Everything was hastily crossed out with a thick black marker.
They began pushing the cart towards the check out and Thor asked the toddlers about their toys and what they did.
“Maybe you should babysit some time,” Mobius chuckled to him, as he handed the cashier his credit card.
Thor laughed at first and then actually considered it. He looked over the cart. “What do you two think?”
Loki made big grabby hands, so of course Thor unbuckled him and picked him up. “That would be a lot of fun, wouldn’t it?”
Loki grabbed Thor’s man bun in response and added a tiny babble as he snuggled into his big brother.
“Is it almost time to rest?” he asked.
Loki nodded and Sylvie rubbed her eyes.
Mobius took the cart and looked at Sylvie, “do you think we should look at the next toy in daddy’s bag?” he asked as she seemed smaller.
She nodded and handed him back the brass latch game. He opened up another pocket in the bag as he pushed the cart. He had made sure to pack at least one baby toy, this one was a rattly car toy with a teether, Sylvie’s favorite one (Loki’s was in there too of course, but he wasn’t asking for it.) It was detachable to a stuffed triceratops that had different jingly rattles in it. The reason this one was marked as Sylvie’s, was because the teethers attached to it had visible bite marks, since she always wanted it when she was stressed.
When they got to the car, Mobius directed Thor to buckle Loki in while he handled Sylvie.
They unloaded everything into the car and the Uhaul.
On the drive home, Mobius noticed that the babies didn’t fall asleep like they usually did. “Are you two not going to nap in the car?” he asked.
The two shook their heads and Sylvie shook the head of her dinosaur which made a jingling noise.
“Bummer, guess you won’t get to help me set up Thor’s house.”
The toddlers looked at each other. That was the exact reason they had stayed up. They wanted to help. They whined.
“Oh, you know I’m just messing with you two, we’ll just do the boring stuff while you’re asleep. Promise,” he said.
That was true. After they got home while the littles slept, Mobius and Thor did the boring things like wall dividers, the ceiling fan, curtains, and rolling out a rug. Mobius woke Loki and Sylvie up to help with the assembly of the bedframe and a dresser. Of course, neither of them were allowed to do much, but they loved helping sort the pieces and do simple tasks like bringing Mobius and Thor things or screwing in pieces that didn’t have sharp edges.
By the time they were done, the home actually looked nice, like hotel room levels of nice. It could’ve passed for one if it wasn’t for the large battle axe hanging on his wall.
Loki pointed at it, babbling.
“She’s called ‘Stormbreaker’ isn’t she wonderful?”
Loki nodded.
“What’s your hammer’s name?” Thor joked, pointing at the tiny mallet Loki was handling.
“Tor!” he answered.
“You named your hammer after big brother?” Thor asked, trying to hide that he was a little bit moved by it.
Loki nodded and let Thor bring him in for a hug.
Thor noticed Sylvie watching them. “Apologies, sister,” he said, hugging her, too. “I did not mean to exclude you. Come here!”
Sylvie excitedly snuggled into his arms. “Lub Tor,” she mumbled as she was squished in his arms.
“Mhm,” Loki agreed.
“I love you both, too,” he said, giving them each a kiss on the top of the head.
“Alright kiddos, ready to let Thor get settled?” Mobius asked them.
“Bye-bye Tor!” Sylvie waved.
“Bu-bye!” Loki also answered as Mobius held his hand and they left the yurt.
Thor smiled and fell onto his bed. He was going to like it here. He could tell.

Marvel’s Loki Season 2: The MCU Questions We Need Answered
https://ift.tt/eA8V8J
The following contains Loki spoilers.
Marvel’s Loki may have only been six episodes, but it was a wild ride from start to finish, reinventing a fan favorite character, wrestling with complex existential questions of free will and fate, and telling one of the franchise’s weirdest love stories to date. Plus, you know, it also managed to entirely rewrite the reality of the Marvel Cinematic Universe as we know it.
Thankfully, Marvel wasted no time confirming a second season, announcing the show’s renewal in the end credits of the Season 1 finale. (Likely because it was obvious that fans would riot if we weren’t promised some answers to the many questions – both literal and philosophical – that this show raised.)
cnx.cmd.push(function() { cnx({ playerId: "106e33c0-3911-473c-b599-b1426db57530", }).render("0270c398a82f44f49c23c16122516796"); });
Here are just a few of the things we’re definitely going to need Loki Season 2 to explore.
Where in the Timeline is Loki?
The first season of Loki ends with a jaw-dropping cliffhanger: He Who Remains is dead, the multiverse is reborn, and when Loki returns to the Time Variance Authority he doesn’t find things exactly as he left them. Mobius and B-20 no longer remember him and the three giant statues of the Time Keepers at the TVA have been replaced with a single figure carved in Kang’s image. What in the world is going on here?
One of the first key questions Loki Season 2 will have to answer is precisely where and when this Loki and the TVA even are. Is this the remnants of the Sacred Timeline, rewritten into something new by He Who Remains’ death? Did Renslayer’s actions somehow change the TVA? Or did Sylvie’s temp-pad launch Loki across the multiverse into another world entirely? (Though since the TVA is supposed to exist outside of time and reality, could there even be a second one?)
Thinking too hard about this is enough to make your head hurt, in the best way possible.
What’s Next for Sylvie?
When last we saw our favorite female Loki variant Sylvie, she was watching time fracture around her after killing the man she’d spent her entire life trying to find and punish. Where does she possibly go after that? She’s literally changed reality – both for herself and everyone else.
Throughout the series, we’ve seen Sylvie driven by an aggressive single-mindedness. But where does she turn that focus now? Will she try and build the home she’s never been able to have before in one of the new timelines she’s created? Track Loki down in whatever timeline she’s sent him to? Or does she begin seeking out the Kang variants, trying to prove that her decision to essentially create them all doesn’t have to doom the universe the way He Who Remains predicted?
Is Sylvie and Loki’s Romance Doomed?
The season ended with Marvel’s most bizarre romance having their first relationship spat. Of course, for Loki and Sylvie that means literally fighting each other with swords while debating whether the universe deserves free will, all before one kisses and then betrays the other by shoving them through a temporal gateway. Shakespeare says the course of true love did never run smooth, guys.
What’s next for these two crazy kids is anyone’s guess – as far as we know, Sylvie’s currently still in the castle at the end of time, and Loki’s in…well, Loki’s in a timeline that we haven’t entirely identified yet. How they’ll find their way back to one another in season 2 (because of course they will find their way back to one another in season 2) is anyone’s guess.
Will Sylvie realize her decision to kill He Who Remains was a mistake? Will she regret kicking off what may well be another multiversal war and seek Loki out to try and fix what she broke? Will Loki try to find her again, in the wake of all that’s happened?
What About All Those Other Versions of Kang?
According to He Who Remains, Sylvie’s choice to kill him would essentially release a veritable army of Kang variants across the multiverse, who will wreak untold havoc and destruction until one essentially takes over again. And that appears to be exactly what has happened, to some extent, given that the statues of the Time Keepers at TVA headquarters have been replaced with a giant Kang figure. But which version of the character that is – or what the other, less benevolent version have done in his name – is up in the air.
We know that Jonathan Majors is set to play Kang the Conquerer in Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania but that film isn’t set to hit theaters until 2023 and that’s an awfully long time to let the MCU’s new Big Bad sit idle. So it seems safe to assume that we’ll see some version of him pop up in at least one MCU property before then, if not more.
Where Did Judge Renslayer Go?
When last we saw Judge Renslayer, she seemed determined to prove that her life as a leader of the TVA – and the many morally dubious decisions she made as such – had some sort of meaning, despite the fact that her actions were essentially all performed in service to a group of leaders who didn’t actually exist.
After an emotional confrontation with Mobius, Renslayer escapes in search of “free will,” which as we know in this universe generally means Kang. Whether she finds him, or what happens during her confrontation with whichever version of Kang she meets is unknown, but since Renslayer is Kang’s girlfriend in the comics, it seems safe to assume that she has some hand in the creation of whatever version of the TVA Loki stumbles back into at the end of the finale.
Why Does the TVA Still Exist?
Throughout Loki Season 1, the TVA was sort of the literal embodiment of the “you had one job” concept. They were meant to patrol and protect the Sacred Timeline, pruning rogue variants and cutting off dangerous branches before they threatened the balance of reality. But now that He Who Remains is dead and there is no Sacred Timeline anymore, then what purpose does the TVA still serve in this new reality?
Judging by the giant statue of some version of Kang in the lobby, there’s every likelihood that the organization has shifted focus to either battle or track the many variants of the former He Who Remains throughout time and space and may have even been created in this reality by one the the “good” Kang variants. But, it’s also possible that the TVA is still trying, in some small way, to corral or at least organize the multiverse into something where its many branches can somehow peacefully co-exist.
What’s the Deal with Miss Minutes?
Miss Minutes, the TVA’s cheerful sentient clip art, is one of the most memorable parts of Loki’s first season. Her organizational prowess is clearly unmatched and very little appears to ruffle her determinedly perky attitude.  But we still don’t know much about her, including how she came to exist or what her ultimate goals are.
Simultaneously helpful and vaguely menacing, it seems clear that she had an agenda of her own throughout the season. But an agenda in service to whom? He Who Remains? Kang the Conqueror? The larger concept of order? And what sort of secrets does she still know?
Is Alligator Loki Okay?
Obviously, a real concern going into Loki Season 2 is the fate of all the other Loki variants we met throughout the season. With He Who Remains dead and the multiverse unleashed, will the other Lokis be able to leave their Void prison and return to their real lives?
Most importantly, is Alligator Loki okay? Are he and Kid Loki striking out on their own now, perhaps to a Disney+ Young Avengers series near you? Loki Season 2 definitely needs to provide us with an update on our favorite reptilian god.
Could Classic Loki Still Be Alive?
As long as we’re talking about Loki variants, does the rebirth of the multiverse mean that Classic Loki might return in some way? Your mileage may vary on whether or not you think his sacrifice was truly heroic or a heroic piece of misdirection, but we don’t actually know what happens to the variants and timelines gobbled up by Alioth.
Sure, the other Lokis hinted that to be eaten by the fog monster equals instant death, but this show also spent four full episodes pretending that pruning equals being killed, so trust but verify, is all I’m saying. Plus, Richard E. Grant is just too good an actor not to put back in a classic Loki costume as soon as possible.
How Will Doctor Strange 2 Impact Loki Season 2?
With reports swirling that Tom Hiddleston will make some sort of appearance in Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness, it seems likely that the film will impact Loki Season 2 in significant ways.
Of course, the question of which version of Hiddleston’s Loki we might see in the film – the same one we saw in Loki or some other perhaps as-yet-unknown variant – remains an open one, but given that this Loki had a direct hand in the creation of the multiverse, it certainly makes sense that he might cross over to a film dealing directly with that concept. Could Sylvie also pop up? It’s certainly possible and after Loki and WandaVision it seems as though anything could happen in this film.

Imagine: President Loki keeping his promise.
A/N: This is a follow up to the other imagine lol. Also, I know President Loki probably wouldn’t actually care about Y/N, but I’m entitled to write him how I like. 😅
Tumblr media
Chaos had just erupted between President Loki, and the other Loki Varients. Some of the Varients had been injured, others unfortunately met their end. Those who had managed to survive the battle, had scurried off to make their escape. President Loki had managed to survive not only the fight, but getting his hand bitten off by the Loki Varient that had been an Alligator. Which was absurd! “Idiots!” President Loki snarled. “All of them are idiots.” Though his hand had been ripped off, he had managed to bandage the wound that it had left. Y/N had felt a pit in her stomach ever since the fight went down. She had taken a seat, staring down at the floor. She felt awful for betraying the other Loki’s, and leading President Loki and his army to them. But… It was only because she felt desperate. There had been no one else willing to help teach her how to control her magic. President Loki’s head turned, and he looked over to his young companion. He studied for a moment, not saying a word. He could tell she was definitely bothered. Y/N pressed her lips together. She looked up at President Loki. “I’m sorry that they betrayed you, my liege.” She told him.
“Don’t be sorry, my dear.” He replied. “It’s not your fault my other selves are idiotic.”
“Well, they are Loki’s.” She shrugged. President Loki slowly walked over to where the girl sat. She fidgeted with her fingers. “They were bound to betray you.”
“Perhaps.” He remarked. He knelt down to be at eye level with her. “But you did not fail me, my daughter. You did well with leading me to their hideout, and for that I am grateful.” He stared at her. She looked away from him, looking back at the ground. Still. She had never imagined to stooping to such a level to get what she had wanted. Betraying people wasn’t in her nature. “I just wish I didn’t have to betray the others trust in order to do so.” She admitted.
“My dear, it’s a means to an end.” He replied. “We do what we must in order to be on top. To survive.” It wasn’t a difficult choice to make. Him or them. “Everything I have done is in our best interest. Have I not only kept you safe from the dangers of this place?”
“Y…Yes.” She croaked.
President Loki lifted his hand, gently brushing it against her cheek. “As long as you are loyal to me, you will always be safe, my dear Y/N.” Y/N looked up at him. She nods. He sighs, before standing to his feet. “Now, up on your feet.” He extended his hand, holding it out so that he could help her stand. Y/N titled her head. What was this about? “I’m don’t understand…”
“I made a promise to help you with your magic, did I not?” He quizzed. He remained still. “I intended to honor that promise, Y/N.”
Y/N took his hand, and he pulled her to her feet. “You will?” She shakes her head.
“Yes.” President Loki replied. He intended to not only help her learn how to keep her magic in check, but he intended to help her grow powerful. “With my aide, you will learn how to be a very powerful young sorceress.” He would give her credit, she was certainly stronger and more intelligent than he had thought. And he was sure it was because she had been raised by some other version of him. He had taught her well. How to strategize, and how to fight. How to make deals if need be. She was almost as good as him. Almost of course. Because she lacked his knowledge and wisdom. But he did know enough about her, that he knew she could become something great.
Something incredible.

Loki Episode 4 Review: The Nexus Event
https://ift.tt/eA8V8J
This review contains spoilers for Loki episode 4.
Loki Episode 4
First of all, holy shit!
Ok, now that’s out of the way I have to calm down enough to review Marvel’s Loki, episode 4, “The Nexus Event,” which had me on the edge of my seat until the post-credits scene. During said post-credits scene I was very much out of my seat. I don’t remember when I stood up, but I guess it must have happened at some point in the 0.2 seconds between being overjoyed that Loki wasn’t dead (again!) and seeing Richard E. Grant. But let’s backtrack, because there is so much to talk about before we get there.
The first three episodes of Loki were often divisive. As much as I personally loved them, a quick scroll through the comments section under my reviews revealed that not everyone was as enjoying the series as much as I was. However, many of the complaints I read were about elements of the story that paid off extremely well in Loki episode 4.
Patience is very much a virtue, so if you felt there was value in spending last week’s episode just hanging out with Loki and Sylvie on a doomed moon and getting to know the pair better, you likely got a lot out of their forced separation and the moment they reunited to face off against the “Time-Keepers.” If you enjoyed the weird friendship building between Loki and Mobius in the first two episodes, you probably felt that gut punch when Loki had to watch him die. And if you’ve been deeply suspicious of Renslayer and scoping her office for clues during those TVA admin scenes, you finally had the chance to yell “HA! I KNEW IT!” when she turned out to be a wrong’un.
We started the episode with a little backstory. We got to witness Sylvie being snatched by the TVA as a child and eluding her Variant pruning by a dispassionate Renslayer, but this scene immediately became a bit of a Loki timeline headache: this wasn’t a quick pruning before a Nexus Event hit the redline – Sylvie was born a Loki and lived for quite a few years on Asgard before Renslayer and the TVA stepped in. Questions arising from those events are left unanswered in episode 4, so we’ll have to put them on the backburner for now.
We then snapped back to the “present” when the TVA stepped in to haul Loki and Sylvie out of the Lamentis apocalypse, which ultimately led to Mobius and B-15 facilitating their escape from captivity. We suspected this might happen. What we didn’t know was how it was going to go down, and the answer came in agonizing drips as Mobius and B-15 started to question everything they thought they knew about the TVA and its mission. It was tense af – from B-15 taking Sylvie back to Roxxcart and experiencing some heart-breaking memories of her true past, to Mobius finally realizing that Renslayer was a lying liar from Lietown, it really did feel like these breakthroughs could go either way because – as we are all now very much well aware – Renslayer is anything but stupid.
In episode 4, Renslayer did her best to get rid of Loki and Sylvie, but the duo appeared to have formed quite the bond in their brief time together; a bond that Mobius picked up on fairly quickly after love first saved the day. At this point, it’s time to address the elephant in the room: Loki and Sylvie’s budding relationship. Many of us would have preferred this to stay as more of a sibling thing, and episode 4 appears to be laying the groundwork for a romantic connection, at least on Loki’s part. Whether this show will continue to advance the romance between them remains to be seen, but perhaps we should attempt to strap in for the inevitable here?
Elsewhere, Owen Wilson just continued killing it as Mobius. He and Loki’s friendship has been such a key emotional anchor in this series, and the thrill of watching Mobius connect the dots and finally try to break out of the box the TVA put him in was cut so awfully short by his sudden death at the end of a pruning stick. Just a devastating moment, and one that the show allows Loki to feel deeply, albeit briefly. I really hope this isn’t the last we’ve seen of Wilson in the show, though I’m not sure how he could be worked into further MCU installments if he somehow reappears and makes it to the end. Loki season 2? Fingers crossed, as there’s obviously even more dark shit going on behind the scenes of the TVA yet to come.
So the omnipotent and lizard-like Time-Keepers are nothing but androids, huh? Nothing but a pantomime. Again, this is something that many Marvel fans have anticipated, but who is really behind the TVA, the mythology of the Time-Keepers’ creation, and the dubious nature of the “sacred timeline”? Is it really going to turn out to be Kang the Conqueror? It’s hard to forget that Renslayer is Kang’s girlfriend in Marvel Comics, and Kang is definitely set to make an appearance in the now-filming Ant-Man 3, but I suspect this show has a few big surprises in store for us in its final two episodes.
They’ll have to be big surprises, because episode 4 gave us some huge ones in its final minutes. We had to watch Renslayer kill Loki in the middle of confessing his feelings before Sylvie captured her. Not for nothing, the way Renslayer’s eyes changed when she faced the end may have been easy to miss upon first watch, but it seemed like her death may well have been a mercy. I wonder how much of Renslayer’s villainy is beyond her control.
Then there was that post-credits scene. Marvel, ugh. You got me again. Of course Loki isn’t dead. At the heat death of the universe, the only things left alive will be cockroaches and Tom Hiddleston in full Loki costume running lines. No, Loki got his own “come with me if you want to live” moment instead, and we were introduced to a whole bunch of new Loki Variants who seem to have already figured out how to cheat TVA crackdowns. “Boastful Loki,” “Kid Loki,” “Alligator Loki” – his gold horns I can’t – and “Classic Loki,” none other than Richard E. fucking Grant.
There’s some stuff I haven’t covered here, including Loki’s Time Cell encounter with Lady Sif, and the way in which it forced Loki to address his past behavior and put a stop to yet another cycle of his being a total asshole – this sequence reminded me of Lucifer’s hell loops honestly. There was also the moment we got a first confirmation of vampires in the MCU – Blade is coming! – but it’s hard to focus on everything when my brain is screaming “I CAN’T BELIEVE I HAVE TO WAIT ANOTHER WEEK TO FIND OUT WHAT HAPPENS NEXT.”
Hope you all enjoyed this one. I’m excited to find out.
