Something we keep neglecting with School Bus Graveyard is the fact that this is taking place in GEORGIA. It's highly likely that everyone except Ben and Aiden grew up either in Georgia or in neighboring areas.
These kids are Southern and I find this hilarious for some reason. Logan exclaims "Good Gravy!" unironically and Taylor says "Bless your heart!" to anyone she gets pissed at and they are GOING to confuse the life out of the Clark kids.

Hey folks? Texas isn't a part of the deep south
Why? I couldn't tell you
We're literally the deepest south you can get
The deep south starts at Louisiana?? Like they're definitely deep south but so are we!

Heavily inspired by Ethel chain even though I don't really listen to her music sadly...but I've always adored the dark southern aesthetic anyways enjoy.

went out for a drink with one of my new local friends and ended up at a small town trivia night. He's about 15 years older than me and always buys my drinks because he makes more $ so I joked that our team name should be the sugar daddies. We had a good laugh and then still needed a team name so I was like 'no, I was actually thinking about the candy bar.' And that's how the newest team The Sugar Daddies, The Candy Bar just won second place at trivia night.

I feel like necessary context for that us regional poll is that "deep south" was a term coined in reference to slavery/the confederacy.

How Fascism Works by Jason Stanley
"The dangers of fascist politics come from the particular way in which it dehumanizes segments of the population. By excluding these groups, it limits the capacity for empathy among other citizens, leading to the justification of inhumane treatment, from repression of freedom, mass imprisonment, and expulsion to, in extreme cases, mass extermination."

Ok I know at least some of you are from the northern USA
Do people really get upset at being called Ma'am instead of Miss as an age thing or is that a stereotype or is that something that used to happen but is now a stereotype?
Because I think I was like seven the first time I was told "yes ma'am" in like a customer service context and the very few times someone has used "miss" in that context instead it took like an extra 30 seconds to process what they meant.

Had to tap out of a video halfway through because the youtube man kept making jabs at texas. And while I can take a joke, the jokes he was making were completely inaccurate and applied more to states like alabama, florida, or even louisiana and it was pissing me off.
If you want to make fun of texas in a more accurate way here's some better topics off the top of my head:
-we keep voting in ted cruz for some reason
-we live in a state that's always under construction
-we house a small california at the center of the state
-there are wannabe cowboys in big stupid trucks that have spread outward like a plague
-we have two entire football teams, two baseball teams, and three basketball teams... and every single one of them sucks (this is the only joke target on this list that might get you physically assaulted so use with caution)
-loud
-partake in several forms of sport involving the at least partial destruction of a vehicle, one of these is driving down I45
-capital punishment
-frito pie (crunchy poutine)
-unhealthy love of dr pepper
-legal to openly carry around swords and semi-automatics in public
-fully incapable of using roundabouts
-in ecology terms, we're small australia
-have a thousand beers to choose from but choose budweiser
-rendered functionally incapable of rational thought the second a snowflake falls from the sky
-have really lax exotic animal laws
-had to beg the USA to let us into the union and only got in because the USA got its ass handed to it by Canada in the war of 1812 and they needed the money
-gained independence from Mexico and IMMEDIATELY fumbled
-have a long standing feud with Oklahoma, the state known most for having Nothing Going On
