✦ how i got into them : i really liked a few of their songs over the years + they were so cute on rtk (i only watched clips) and when i discovered ssap possible through enhypen actually dhfdjd i was like oh jangjun . my bestfriend . i should see what gncd are up to and ... now im here ? ✦ which member would be my best friend : youngtaek<3 ✦ something i associate with them (or with a bias/any member) : constellations and starry skies, varsity jackets, blue butterflies, just u know that magic of music u feel when u become obsessed with a song or artist, lake of swans...., musicals, a capella, winter, dystopias

⏤ golcha: ✦ my first bias: youngtaek !! ✦ my current bias(es): still youngtaek, n somehow i ended up ulting that jangjun guy 🧍🏼‍♀️ ✦ my album and/or era ranking (or favorite of each): their discog is massiveeeee so i'm gonna b lazy and just give u my faves ... fave album is game changer ++ fave era is one (lucid dream) ! ✦ how i got into them: this one a classic case of me being annoying and not latching onto ra pam pam when it came out even though mary bless her was like u would like this / them ! but i can't be told stuff like that . so i gave ddara a shot and once again was like hm not yet. i don't remember how or why i ended up revisiting ra pam pam a few months later, but when i did i was like wait . i'm stupid ✦ which member would be my best friend: honestly probably daeyeol since we're same-ish age and i know he can take a joke jsdngjhdf ✦ something i associate with them (or with a bias/any member): i always think of sports (various) and laugh abt it ajndgjhs but also @minimotual 😙

⏤ w1: ✦ my first bias: incredible question i actually think it was woojin, which is weird bc as you know he wasn't one of my yeppi biases at first but daehwi was and yet daehwi was not my first w1 bias but i guess maybe he was by default ? it's complicated sjdkgns ✦ my current bias(es): chamhwi + that jihoon guy who i like a normal amount ✦ my album and/or era ranking (or favorite of each): light my underrated era of all time + undivided my underrated album 😔 then debut -> boomerang -> spring breeze -> burn it up ✦ how i got into them: honestly how DID i get into them. i think it was bc i was getting into ab6ix and i wanted more context so i watched a little bit of their produce season and then i was like wait . i know a bunch of these guys and energetic slaps ajsbdsgjhs so only a few years late i went down the rabbit hole and then they had a reunion for me and meg alone ✦ which member would be my best friend: honestly probably kang danny my fellow sagittarius ... he's so quirky but also i feel like we could kick it and talk abt life / careers / cats / get advice from each other and it would b really easy ✦ something i associate with them (or with a bias/any member): daniel's cats, baejin's ballpit room, and ofc @slowrabbitpd 😙

Since the DDARA promotions are over and it seems like Bomin is entering an pivotal era in his career I will use the tag e:shadow beauty for his promotions until the next album. Song of the Week

On time, despite the new job, because I for some reason had today off.

Honorable Mentions:

Idol Roundup:

- Addicted by PIXY: I like the creepy vibe, and that it isn’t cookie cutter for a girl group, but it just isn’t sticking with me.

- Waiting by WOODZ: He is still not my cup of tea, but the style is cohesive and well performed.

- Glassy by Jo Yuri: Sweet is just not a style I really like, and that is what this track has in spades.

- Savage by aespa: I love the hook, and the rest confuses me. Or maybe more accurately makes me feel old af.

- Veni Vidi Veci by Cravity: There is something here, but I’m not sure if it will be enough to bring me back for another listen.

- Sober by N.Flying: I Love that Seunghyub is getting more lines, and the vibe is nice but nothing new for them

Vibin’ is a very well names song. Because from start to finish it is a vibe. I am living for GOT7′s current era of soloist success that mostly seems to be driven by singers doing what they want. Youngjae looks happy, and the track fits him so so well, so I can’t help but be happy too.

Okay Golden Child, go off! Ddara starts with absolutely no instruments, and then does not add a single real one in throughout, instead using samples and synths to imitate an older sound. All of the older samples are pulled through distortions that leave them echoes of their original selves while still keeping the original vibe. It has a big band jazz vibe in parts, and modern synth emphasis in others. And the final hook hits so damn good!

Who knew I wanted to listen to a tribute to mid 2000s pop? Because that is what Luna’s Madonna feels like. It has the lyrics about female empowerment, it has synth sounds I haven’t heard since then, and it has the styling. And I loved every second of it.
