Colliding Worlds: Wordcount: 54009, General, Destiel   Crossover with Doctor Who, Canon Divergent Season 11 Summary What happens if the Doctor meets our boys? When the supernatural meets the other wordly? Can the boys expand their worldview to include aliens?? A fun exercise in colliding worlds...

Crossing Fantasies: Wordcount: 6839, Teen, Destiel  Crossover with Star Trek, Bunker Fic Summary  Dean's minding his own business in the bunker when 3 very impossible people show up in his room amid a glory of sparkles. There's no way he could be facing down Captain James T. Kirk, Doctor McCoy and Commander Spock - they're fictional characters from a TV show for fucks sake, right? So why was he holding a gun on the very real presence of three strangers claiming to be just that in his own bedroom at a supposedly impervious Bunker?

You Stole My Line!: Wordcount: 2888, General, Destiel   Crossover with Doctor Who, Season Codas up to 12  Summary  Because really, Dean's gonna brag about killing Hitler, and that's going to make some people a little jealous...you know who I'm talking about right? And then in the end, it helps Dean open up a little bit more...

Midnight Adventures: Wordcount: 8992, Explicit, DCJ  Crossover with Doctor Who, Coitus Interuptus and feels  Summary  Dean, Jimmy and Cas had moved to the middle of nowhere for a reason. Relationships such as theirs were hardly ever understood to begin with. Throw in the fact that, well, Dean's boyfriends were related to each other, and it causes quite an outcry. So. Middle of nowhere. Lots of land and privacy. And all they wanted to do was celebrate their anniversary in peace. And sex (definitely sex). Of course, time traveling aliens with their magic box kinda put a damper on that. But that's okay - he makes up for it in the end.

The Replacement Engineer: Wordcount: 3061, Explicit, Destiel  ABO, Non Trad, Omegas Cas and Dean, Switching  Summary  Dean's the doctor on Charlies ship, and he's just met Castiel - the replacement for their previous engineer. Nobody expected them to take such an instant liking to each other. After that, it was only a matter of time before Sam was scarred for life and Charlie needed to give the ship a few upgrades. But it wasn't really their fault!

Humanities Second Chance: Wordcount: 3076, Explicit, Saileen  ABO, Post Apocalyptic, Omega Sam, Alpha Eileen, Switching  Summary  The world changed after the Earth rose up against humanity. Disaster after disaster struck, decimating the population, but as humans have always found a way to do - they survived. They might have changed a little in the process but, they survived. Not that the new generation of kids knew anything different. They hear the stories, the tales, but to them, this is the new normal. And Sam is about to embark on the next phase of his life - getting mated

Solitary Flights and Second Chances: Wordcount: 7415, General, Destiel  Astronaut Dean, NASA style Summary  All Dean's life, all he wanted was to go into space. He's sacrificed a lot on the way to that dream. Now he has it and he realizes... he sacrificed too much. Way too much. Sabatoge, injury and an aborted trip are a strange way to get back the things he lost... that most precious thing of all... but if he can salvage something good from all this, he'll take it. he just needs to get back home alive, first.

Lost and Found by @destieltrashland : Wordcount: 22928, Explicit Destiel, Sam/Jess, Nod to Space Seed (Star Trek), Character Death (not Team Free Will) Summary: When he reached the hatch door he looked through the small window, shining the light from his helmet inside. The cargo area was cleaner than the front of the ship, due to being sealed off from the tear in the hull, and it still held a sizable number of items within. The items floated under nets keeping them tethered to the floor. “What strange readings?” he asked as he pointed his own tricorder inside. “Power signatures and –“ she paused, pressing buttons on the screen as if to confirm her assessment, “life signs.”                                                       ----- Castiel and crew find something unexpected while recovering an ancient spaceship. Dean and Sam struggle to adjust to life 300 years in the future.

Well, unfortunately, pickings are slim for DCJ longfics, and I haven't read them all. But I can recommend two longfics with plenty of plot, although neither is particularly fluffy and they're not ABO. But you may want to check them out.

Pitchers and Catchers by @unforth-ninawaters comes in at 122,630 words and is an excellent story if you're into sports AUs. Cas is kind of a dick, but he comes around. And Jimmy and Dean's relationship (which is how things start out - Cas joins later) is really sweet.

Summary: In his entire career, from Little League to the pros, Castiel Novak has only ever pitched to his twin brother Jimmy Novak. When circumstances force him to need to find a new catcher, Castiel knows there's no replacement for his brother...

Unforth also has another DCJ longfic, Our Lady of Modesty. It’s 97k words. I haven’t read it, but I’ll recommend it because it’s unforth and I’ve never read anything by her I didn’t like.

Summary: The death of Jimmy and Castiel Shurley’s parents grants them a modest inheritance and, more importantly, freedom to make their own choices. After hunting for the perfect house, they find what they’re looking for in an old farmhouse in the mountains of upstate New York: nice neighbors not too close, the beauty of nature surrounding them, and solitude, save for each other. The isolation is both a blessing and a curse; Castiel has pined for his brother since puberty, but incest is forbidden and homosexuality is taboo, and he knows if he speaks about his feelings he’ll lose his brother as a best friend and destroy their careers as children’s book authors as well.

Fortunately, Castiel finds a new friend in Dean, the strange man who hangs around their property. Sure, it’s a weird, especially since Dean refuses to enter the house or even meet Jimmy, but Dean is gregarious, beautiful, kind, and brilliantly knowledgeable about the natural wonders surrounding them. Castiel isn’t the best at assessing people but he’s absolutely sure there’s no harm in Dean…

When Your True Destiny Is To Lead by @anonymousantonym comes in at just over 80k words. It's an alternate take on the apocalypse. Cas and Jimmy start off in a relationship and Dean comes in later. I really enjoyed the plot twists in this, and I don't want to say too much and risk giving things away, but it is a really meaty fic.

Summary: When Henry Winchester started the apocalypse; sacrificing himself to save his son’s life, he had no idea what he would bring about. If he had known, he wouldn't have believed heaven would lose.Now, in 2017, Henry's grandsons; Sam and Dean, struggle to survive in a world where Lucifer walks the Earth, demons and victims of the Croatoan virus destroy everything in their path, and angels are selfish and frightened.It's been eight years since the Winchesters formed Camp Salvage. Eight years of hunting, fighting and protecting those around them. Dean is tired. He's tired of being responsible for so much. But there isn't an end in sight. The Devil toys with the world, and it won't be long until the Croats kill them all. Dean is done. He's had enough of fighting losing odds. Then—they hear word of an angel. Dean puts his game face on once more, leading a team in search of answers, help, or simply retribution.What they find instead, sends them into a tailspin that can only end two ways; wholesale destruction, the final, true end of all things, or the longest of shots; they win.With some unexpected tactical advantages, maybe Dean finally stands a chance: not just to survive, but to find a reason to want to.

For a show that gets a lot of its humour from chaotic dumbassery there is not a lot of spn fanfic that utilizes this. I wanna laugh so hard that my partner has to ask me if I'm ok and then tell me i need to go lay down because the sounds i am making are concerning and I'm probably overstimulated.

So like give me your fic recs for funny spn fic. I ship almost anything but stuff with lucifer and I'm not huge into wincest or sabriel but I like wincestiel. Destiel or dcj is a bonus. Just help a sad queer out and let me laugh.

4) What are your top 5 fics by kudos?

Bottle of Red (Venom (Movie 2018)) (2060 words) - Anything Venom is way more popular than any of my other stuff.  You Venom fans are THIRSTY.  And I love you for it.  :D The Little Death (Teen Wolf (TV)) (3058 words) - TW fans, ALSO thirsty, and I love YOU for it.  I’m still not 100% with the characterization here, but I think it’s def. closer. The Light Will Guide You Home (Supernatural) (4622 words)  Destiel - I’m really proud of this one - AU, tentacle creature Cas with feels, and it’s what got me into the original  works anthology I’m in--Add Magic to Taste, with Duck Prints Press! What the Mark Demands (Supernatural) (1305 words)  Wincest - one of my favorites, honestly.  Pure smut, but there are feels.   Paved With Good Intentions (Supernatural) (2837 words) Wincest - Soulless Sam still gives me happy chills, okay?

I try to.  Sometimes I’m overwhelmed and I don’t, but I always, always, always treasure them!!

6) What’s the fic you’ve writtenb with the angstiest ending?

When Living is Another Kind of Dying (Supernatural/Heroes crossover)(767 words) - I love this one.  It’s super old, I wrote it on LiveJournal.  But it’s solid, it imagines a world where Dean goes to avenge Sam and gives Peter That Scar.

7) What’s the fic you’ve written with the happiest ending?

I mean, a huge number of my fics end happy.  But I’ll say this because it’s also based on happy, sexy art and that’s awesome:

Adulting 101 (Supernatural) (2988 words) DCJ - A sweet AU where Dean meets Jimmy in Sioux Falls and then meets Cas and doesn’t know what to do...until he does.

8) Do you write crossovers? If so what is the craziest one you’ve written?

I think they’re all sort of equally crazy, probably?  Here, have most of them:

Playing Dice in the Dark (Supernatural/Good Omens)(2927 words) Destiel - Dean and Cas are Crowley and Aziraphale.  Follow them through the ages.  There is some dark, torturey stuff handled in a lighter, Pratchett-y way.

Phoenix Out of Blood (Supernatural/Heroes) (7583 words) Gen - early season Sam and Dean meet 5 Years Later version of Claire Bennett and they go on the run.  A lot of feels, historical Dean/Jo, honestly an underappreciated fic.  :)

Of Squints and Vampires (Angel/Bones) (2653 words) Gen - a very old one and not fantastic, but still fun.  A demon gets shipped to the Jeffersonian.  I did this for a doppleganger group a million years ago.

Drown Out the Clamor of Silence (Buffy/Tru Calling) (2681 words) Harrison/Faith - I loved this one, so dark and weird!  Harrison meets a girl who looks like his sister but isn’t, and it ends up being both traumatic and healing, somehow.  Another one for the doppleganger group.

9) Have you ever received hate on a fic?

Ah, yes.  I wrote my first dark Wincest, full of non-con on both sides (demon!Dean), and people had massive issues with my tagging of who topped and who bottomed, which I found hilarious since it was rape, all the way down, but apparently who puts what into who was the main source of anger.  I don’t tag for topping and bottoming anymore.  

10) Do you write smut? If so what kind?

So. Much. So much smut.  I don’t know what kind?  the smutty kind?  Usually with feels?

11) Have you ever had a fic stolen?

Not that I know of.

12) Have you ever had a fic translated?

Nah, I’m not that big.

13) Have you ever co-written a fic before?

Once!  It was a Veronica Mars fic, five million years ago. 

14) What’s your all time favorite ship?

I can’t.  I just can’t.  There are too many.  Spuffy, Weever, Destiel, Wincest...anything trust based and a little fucked up is right up my alley.

15) What’s a WIP that you want to finish but don’t think you ever will?

Grimm Series - I started this, and loved it, but I lost track of the series.  It was going to be fairy tale based, Juliette/Renaud and Nick/Monroe endgame.  I love the beginning of it.  Maybe I’ll get back to it, it was so fun, and honestly, pretty darn good.

16) What are your writing strengths?

I write a good sentence.  I think I have good flow and good characterization for the most part.  I’m solid when it comes to smut.

17) What are your writing weaknesses?

Plot.  All the way, I’m terrible at plot and not great at pacing.  BUT, I’m actively trying to improve and I think I am!

18) What are your thoughts on writing dialogue in other languages in a fic?

Depending on the situation, either type it in the other language and have the response show what it meant, or type it in italics and then ‘he said in Russian’ or whatever.  Is it right?  I dunno.  I don’t do it very often.

19) What was the first fandom you wrote for?

I wrote fanfic for a high school assignment for Farenheit 451, which I’m fairly certain was brilliant, and then the first time I knew what fanfic was and did it on purpose, it was for the TV show, Witchblade.  It was so long ago, I think I posted it on a forum and I don’t know where it is anymore.  

20) What’s your favorite fic you’ve written?

Can one choose a child?  Gah.  There are so many, honestly.  If you get this far and want a rec, I’ll rec you one based on your interests, just send me an ask.

What kind of fics do you rec? Is there any kind that is not included? Like fluff, smut, dark? What's the vibe?

i'll take submissions for literally anything destiel or dcj! i don't read a ton of darkfic or pwp myself, so you'll mostly only see those if other people submit them. this is a judgment-free zone where anything & everything is welcome. :) self-recs are also highly encouraged!

but as far as my personal tastes... my demi ass leans towards "sappy af," though that can mean a lot of different things in different contexts. like, even intense bdsm stuff can still be sappy, even if it looks a little different than your standard tooth-rotting fluff (which is also great).

Do you want an epic, novel length DCJ sports au? Well, this is it.

Cas, Jimmy, and Dean are all baseball players; Cas and Jimmy are young and in their prime while Dean is well past his and struggling with injuries and self-worth problems. As they fight towards the championship games for their teams, they also learn how to fight for one another, support one another, and love one another. Cas and Jimmy’s relationship was so believable, and I loved the way their personalities were so different and distinct, though they complimented each other perfectly. Watching their relationship grow as they each fall for Dean, and watching Dean's growing distress over wanting both of them was just delicious. It was a beautiful slow-burn romance with plenty of added suspense thanks to the game of baseball that all the characters love so much.

This fic will make you fall in love with Dean, Cas, and Jimmy (all over again if you already are!) as well as the game of baseball.

Hey I love your blog do you know if there are any fic with Cas and Jimmy as exotic dancers and they meet Dean at a show or maybe Dean is a dancer and the twins see him preform if not who do we have to talk to make that a fic 😉 pleeeeeeease It would be even hotter if it was a ABO fic

He doesn’t need to run through what he’s going to say – he’s already planned and edited and rehearsed it a thousand times. He is going to ask Dean Winchester out to dinner. If it’s not too forward, he’ll say, perfectly charming. You see, I’ve seen you around the neighbourhood and you always seem so earnest and I’d really like to get to know you bette— The door swings open, and Castiel panics. He intends to excuse himself. He means to apologise and come back some other time. However, in a moment of blind fear, what comes out of his mouth instead are the words, “Could you spare a moment for Jesus Christ?”

Cursed or Not by @ltleflrt (on AO3)    While experimenting with magic when he was a kid, Sam accidentally cursed Dean. Now, Dean is forced to wear a spelled amulet constantly, or he'll turn into a random animal. For a little over a decade, he's learned to live with the curse, and has even found it useful in some cases, but he sure would be happier without it. When he meets a witch named Castiel, he's offered a deal. Instead of assuming all witches are bad, Dean can spend a season getting to know him. If at the end of the season, Dean still thinks he's evil Castiel will send him away with his memory wiped of the whole experience. But if he learns that Castiel is not the monster Dean assumes he is, he'll lift Dean's curse. It's an offer Dean can't bring himself to pass up.

Forget-Me-Not Blues by noangelsinthegarrison (on AO3)    Sam and Jess are getting married and Dean couldn’t be any happier for them. Honestly, they’re kind of disgustingly perfect for each other and Dean’s pretty damn excited about staying with them the week before the wedding. He’s Sam’s best man, of course, and he doesn’t even mind that Jess has her own best man to share in all the organisational duties. The more the merrier, right? Except Dean must have done something to epically piss off the universe because Jess’s best man just happens to be Castiel friggin’ Novak. He’s got even hotter since High School, but apparently no friendlier and if Cas wants to spend the week pretending like they’ve never met before? Fine. Two can play at that game.

Demo Day by @reallyelegantsharkfish (on AO3)    “Guess what today is?” Dean says, grinning into the camera. Out of the corner of his eye, he sees Cas rolling his eyes with a smile touching his mouth. Dean unbuttons the top few buttons of his plaid shirt and pulls it apart, Superman style, to show the words DEMO DAY printed across the t-shirt on his chest. “Demo day!”

Back Chat by @teacass (on AO3)    Castiel doesn’t have a lot of luck when it comes to romance. He downloads Tinder on a whim and soon finds out it’s not any easier in the virtual world. He’s about to give up completely when a miracle happens: someone keeps talking to him even after Cas explicitly says he doesn’t want to date. As days go by and Cas and the man continue to chat, Cas begins to question his own rules. — Dean’s life is simple: work, gym, weekend, rinse, repeat. He’s not really an expert, but he doesn’t have any qualms about chatting people up as he works out. At least not until he tries to offer well-meant advice to a blue-eyed hottie in shorts and gets shot down – turns out the guy is a real jerk. I’m not sure how to review this one without giving away the plot, but I will say that it is incredibly hot in that dirtybadwrongbutohsogood way we all love—not only because of the twins, but because of Dean’s actions in this story. Do yourself a favor and read it when nobody else is around (and definitely not at work like I did). Also, as the title implies, there is an element of non/dub-con so heed the tags and proceed with caution.
