#i do have a couple thoughts on this scene though its embarrassing to admit that they're all based on gacha videos lmao#because generally in videos this is used to document dazais abuse towards akutagawa and im not disagreeing with that#but i feel like its completely disregarded that dazai is genuinely training him here#thats not to excuse him but it is something that makes the scene and his relationship with akutagawa more interesting#because again these videos will either fully gloss over the topic or go incredibly heavy handed on how dazai just hates akutagawa#(but is changing)#but thats not really the case here#dazai is absolutely terrible towards akutagawa but he is absolutely trying to teach him right now#'you aren't deploying your skill quickly enough' 'the enemy wont wait for you to stand back up'#'use your ability to counterattack' 'you cannot survive in the mafia on something so paltry'#dazai doesn't hate akutagawa. he absolutely thinks he has a ton of potential#its just something i find interesting
