2023 was an interesting year. Doing this made me realize how much I've done but at the same time I feel like I did nothing.

A lot of the cosplays are old ones with new upgrades or little do dats. I wish I did something new and hopefully next year I can.

I gave myself two year long projects. The seasons makeup and bun of the month. It gave me something interesting to do throughout the year and I've had a lot of fun thinking of different bun variations and seasonal looks.

The Ren Faire was good fun as usual and being able to make my little faire outfits filled my summer.

Hopefully 2024 I can make something new

Review: I'll be honest, I didn't finish this book. I read the vietnam war part, and skipped the rest because even the war part was difficult to get through. This wasn't quite a 1 star book but it definitely came close. For anyone who has read anything about Operation Market Time, the Swift boats, or even coastal advisors - this book sets off red flags and alarm bells. The author has some very strong opinions about everyone and everything and often ... well ... let's just say that he vacillates wildly from complete bullshit to just plain stupid. Avoid this book and read Bob Andretta's Brown Water Runs Red for a better book on the Junk Force.

Chung Son Temple - Temple of President Ho Chi Minh's ancestors

Located on Chung Mountain, Chung Son Temple, after 8 years of construction, was recently inaugurated on the occasion of the 130th anniversary of President Ho Chi Minh's birthday. "Chung Son Temple - President Ho Chi Minh's ancestral temple, is a place to worship the ancestors of our parents, the great people of our nation, to show gratitude for his great contributions. This is the first time in the country that we have a solemn place of worship, a cultural address of historical significance for the people and visitors to express their respect and gratitude for the sacrifices of the beloved members of Uncle Ho's family" - Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc. This is a sacred place, a temple to worship ancestors, a project that honors and forever remembers the contributions of President Ho Chi Minh and his relatives. Located in the Kim Lien relic complex, Nam Dan (Nghe An), in 1991 Chung Mountain was ranked as a national historical relic. Chung Mountain is located in the center of Kim Lien Commune, Nam Dan District, Nghe An Province. All seven villages of Kim Lien Commune: Sen Village (Kim Lien), Chua Village (Hoang Tru), Say Village (Mau Tai), Gao Village (Nguyet Qua), Trai Village (Tinh Ly), Dinh Village (Ngoc Dinh), Ke Mong Village (Van Hoi) are all around Chung Mountain. According to historical records, Chung Mountain has always been likened to a giant tilted bell, with the shape of the letter Vuong. This is considered a very sacred land. On Chung Mountain, there are ancient tombs, the Ca Temple worshiping Xuan Lam General Nguyen Dac Dai, Dat Pagoda (Bao Quang Tu), Lam Thinh General's house, the mausoleum of General Le Giac (also known as Le Doc) and the place where Lam Thinh Party Cell secretly operated from 1930-1931. In the past, Chung Mountain had 9 peaks, but later on, due to the impact of nature and humans, the mountain only has 5 peaks, of which 3 are main peaks. The people here often call the mountain peaks caves. The first peak is in the east, near Van Hoi village (Ke Mong) and is called Mong cave. The second highest peak, nearly 50m high, is behind Tinh Ly village and is called Bo cave. This is where there is a small temple to worship the Bo god. The people of Tinh Ly village avoid the word "Bo" so they call the cow a me. To the northwest, at the foot of Bo cave, there is the mausoleum of Ta Tuong Quan Le Giac (also known as Le Doc), a general at the end of the Le dynasty, there is a military training ground of Tu Tai Vuong Thuc Mau and it is the place where President Ho Chi Minh often went to play tug of war and practice mock battles during his childhood. Next is the third peak called Den cave. This is where the temple, large pagoda and the holy house of Lam Thinh commune are concentrated. In this spiritual cultural area, there are magnificent and majestic houses and temples. On June 10, 2012, Nghe An province started construction of the ancestral temple of President Ho Chi Minh on Chung Mountain. After 8 years of construction, on May 16, the temple was inaugurated. Chung Son Temple has a very special meaning, demonstrating the tradition of "remembering the source of water when drinking water" of the Vietnamese people, responding to the earnest wishes of the people of Nghe An in particular and the people of the whole country in general to remember the merits of President Ho Chi Minh, to remember and show gratitude to him and his family members. On the occasion of the 130th anniversary of his birthday, Chung Son Temple was inaugurated, people everywhere were extremely happy. Right after the project was inaugurated, in recent days, hundreds of thousands of people have come here to admire the temple of Uncle Ho's ancestors, located in a majestic and imposing mountain, burning incense to show gratitude, remembering the source of water, forever remembering the great contributions of Uncle Ho and his family members. Wan-Ifra's fellowship for 23 Asian young media leaders

The World Editors Forum Asia Chapter, part of Wan-Ifra’s network for editors, is proud to announce the selection of 23 emerging leaders from the Asian news media industry to participate in the fourth edition of the Temasek Foundation Young Media Leaders Fellowship (YMLF). This highly acclaimed leadership program will commence virtually on 7 October 2024.

The program aims to nurture the next generation of Asian newsroom leaders, supporting them at various career stages. It is not only about personal growth, it also seeks to foster a collaborative network of leaders who will champion good journalism and strengthen newsrooms so that evolving societal needs can be met.

Fellows will engage in a range of training activities designed to give them the skills needed to meet the demands of a rapidly evolving media and digital landscape.

The program will conclude with an in-person finale workshop in Singapore from 4 to 7 November, where fellows will also have the opportunity to attend the Asian Media Leaders Summit. The week-long engagement will serve as a platform for fellows to exchange ideas with top industry leaders and build a collaborative network of trusted advocates committed to fostering excellence in journalism across the region.
