i know people are not watching Stranger Things for period-accurate indiana culture but it’s wild to me over the course of 4 seasons now, no one has mentioned the colts once. not even in passing! they moved to indianapolis in 1984 and it was a huge deal! you’re telling me officer callahan never tried to break a painful silence between him and hopper with “how about them colts?”

#the indiana personality trait trinity: thinking they're a part of the south basketball and the indianapolis colts #i'm allowed to say this i lived it #also why does the stranger things wiki say hawkins is in roane county? a county that does not exist?#why not put your fake little town in a real county at least #a shout into the void #this is very niche posting but i don't think hawkins has felt like a midwestern town since S1 #they basically add any feature they need for plotting purposes #i'm fine with it being everytown usa #but they could have had more fun adding a dash of weirdly specific hoosier references #does the word hoosier even come up at all in stranger things??#the very popular (mandatory indiana middle school viewing) hoosiers movie came out in 1986 #damn it now i'm thinking fondly back to middle school hoosier hysteria
