hoooooooo boy
the amount of drama and subterfuge in part 1 chapter 4 is putting years on my life
plus 2wink finally showed up and i couldn't be more thrilled
#⇢₊˚⊹ 🩷∥ruby∥yo，ide yo !!#the yumenosaki academy era was great too#but i prefer non-school shenanigans tbh#especially if it focuses on early adulthood and everything that comes with it#i feel like i consume so much media where the setting is in high school and the story revolves around high school drama#and then the characters are never seen again post-graduation#if the narrative even bothers to get to that point at all#idk. to me it's just nice to see life continue after school. especially since a lot of the idols graduated#i feel like i'm not making any sense but eh iykyk#can i just say btw#i think the game is an excellent medium through which to tell the story#cuz u enter the game and play a few songs and knock out ur dailies and the default menu music plays in the interim and it's all so colorful#so far everything feels really lighthearted and vibe is very much 'yay idols my oshis are so cute/cool/hot/etc.'#but then you get to the stories and it's like... oh. OH..........#and you realize that lore-wise it's actually really fucked up. and the worst(best?) thing is that it's all plausible#there's not so much of it that it seems gratuitous on the part of the writers#but not too little that it's extremely jarring in contrast to the bubbly exterior it's packaged with#there's just enough to get exactly the right reader response#anyway babble over
