brother crab's winter 2024 parting thoughts: ragna crimson
i kinda... fuck with it? i guess? like ultimately i wouldn't call it outstanding but it was a fun ride the whole way through, sometimes it was nonsense but even then in a fun way. dragons + princesses + magic + guns + nanotechnology + secret base on the moon + another ayu character who is gnc as fuck, nothing i could complain about there
like it's not High Art but it's also not trying to be, the premise was pretty interesting though at times it feels like the series sort of lost sight of that, and the fights + character designs were mostly all pretty sick to me
i actually love the silverware princess and her whole thing of thinking ragna is a total hunk but seeing him as a LITERAL SWORD WITH ARMS AND LEGS, but by the ending i was so ??? because like WHAT ABOUT LEO LMAO
it just feels a little funky i guess that ragna's whole motivation was to protect leo, at the start, and in the final episode there's like. literally zero mention of her lol. maybe i missed something along the way, idk, i may have spaced out at some points
tl;dr it was fun but for sure fun in a brain off sort of way (which isn't a bad thing, sometimes my brain does need to be off)
