rant in tags lol
ik that bathesda is the deadest horse around but at this point but i feel like the absurdity of the fo4 update situation needs to be expressed. like someone at bathesda was like "hm a lot of people are buying and revisiting the games bc of the show. you know what we can do to make them like the game more? release an update that brings back the enclave in the worst written, most contrived way possible where they act so ooc that you may as well have made up a new faction all together! also make sure that it makes the game significantly buggier and breaks almost every mod. you know, since the modding community isnt one of the biggest reasons people play bathesda games. Hell, it's not like mods have been doing a better job at everything this update set out to do for years now without entirely breaking every fo4 mod made ever.
.When should we release it? two days before the launch of one of the most hyped fallout modding projects ever that's been in development for 5 years, making that project cancelled into the void forver. also add Halloween decorations that are admittedly kinda sick,"

i neeeeeed a fic where leah gets jealous of someone being too touchy and flirty with r and it can end with anything u want!!
Only I can touch you like this
Tumblr media
Suggestive, Jealousy, Angst, Teeny bit of smut if you squint
This may have been a little angstier/dominant than you imagined, I will write a fluffly cute one with a needy sappy jealous Leah as well to make up for it, enjoy! ;)
Word count: 1,571
-
Y/n’s Pov:
“Baby” I call out, “can you zip me up please?”
“of course, darling”, Leah comes waltzing out of the bathroom in a white fluffy hotel robe and stops in her tracks when her eyes meet me. “fuck” she mumbles. “Babe come on we’re going to be late I need you to do this up for me” I whine, getting cautious of time. “oh, would you be quiet, it’s only the girls we don’t need to be there on the dot, let me admire my sexy girlfriend” she begins to smirk and slowly walk towards me, arms open ready to encapsulate my waist.
I giggle softly at her antics and throw my arms around her neck. “Ahhh!” I squeal at the sudden jolt of Leah picking me up to spin me softly, she giggles cutely at me, eyes filled with love then brings me back down to my feet and kisses me hard. I attempt to shy away once again cautious of time but as soon as she slides her hands down and firmly grips my ass I’m done for. I moan into her mouth, and she takes it as an opening to slip her tongue inside, passionately kissing me. I return her gesture, and our tongues glide along each other, both freshly brushed, tasting of mint and lust.
I slip my right hand into the opening of her robe and trace my fingers softly down to cup her left breast. Her nipple hardens under my touch and my stomach instantly flips. I squeeze lightly and she returns my earlier gesture of moaning into my open mouth. I remove my left hand from her neck and softly pull at where the robe is tied around her waist. The fluffy white robe flies open and my mouth fills with saliva. Leah’s toned abs, filled breasts, and perky nipples are on full display, and my favourite of all, her tattoos. I reach forward and trace over the swallow bird on her left rib. Then my other hand reaches for the ‘creation of Adam’ hands on her right rib. Both tattoos are just to the side and under where her breasts fall. My left-hand slides further down to reach the sword on her hip. As I look at them, I fall in love a thousand times more, remembering what each one represents, and just how much I love this girl.
Leah’s hand grips my chin and lifts my head, so my eyes meet hers and I'm snapped out of my love-filled daydream. Her wanting eyes instantly place me in lust once again. She slides the robe off her shoulders and pushes me forward, so I fall on the bed. As she leans to jump on top of me, I roll, so she falls, face-first into the mattress. “Fucksakes y/n! What was that for?”, I tap my wrist, “Tik Tok baby, Tik Tok” I walk off, my dress still unzipped. One job Leah. One job.

Leah’s pov:
Arriving at the club was a nightmare, to say the least, as I expected. Y/n continued to tease me the whole drive, gliding her hand up and down my thigh, even slipping into my trousers at some point. Once we finally entered the club, we received nonstop stick from the girls about our late arrival. Well, I received nonstop stick. Y/n joined in on the fun, making sly comments and forcing me to turn red from embarrassment.
The night continued pretty well, however, Y/n was relentless in her quest to rile me up. The entire night she would accidentally drop something, bending over right in front of me, grabbing me softly in places this couch should not have seen, and whispering dirty things in my ear. To deal with my increasing horniness which I knew would not be taken care of anytime soon as Y/n refused to leave every time I begged, I drowned myself in triple-shot vodka cokes. This just seemed to turn me into an even needier mess, but my hormones calmed down when Y/n finally left my side to go get a round of drinks.
When Y/n returned with everyone’s drinks she left just as quickly claiming she was still waiting on hers, so I continued my conversation with Beth. That was until I changed seats for comfort, this time angling towards the bar. I hum in agreement with Beth and turn my head slightly when I spot Y/n sitting at the bar with a woman. I squint my eyes, as they are already somewhat blurry from the alcohol. The woman is dressed in a short black dress, with thick brown hair to her mid back, and toned tanned arms. I know how Y/n likes arms. My arms. I furrow my brows. Y/n tilts her head back and chuckles hard, whilst grabbing onto the woman’s forearm. Fuck no. Nothing is that funny. My chest puffs out and I shift in my seat, anger coursing through my veins. I continue to hum whilst Beth chats, still staring hard at the woman and Y/n. “What the fuck does she think she’s doing?” I grumble.
-
Y/n’s pov:
I know how Leah gets when she drinks. Horny and possessive. And oh, how I love it. Once the woman at the bar who I’ve now come to know as Casey hit on me, I smiled politely informing her of my already taken status. I reached for my drink to turn back and walk over to the girls, when I spotted Leah, shifting her position to face the bar. Oh, this could be fun. I turn back to face Casey and smile, this time with intent. “What’s the harm in a chat” and sit back on the stool and strike up a conversation with her.
After a minute or so I begin to feel Leah’s eyes burning through the side of my head. I confirm my sense by glancing to my right at the mirror behind the alcohol shelves at the bar, where I see Leah sitting facing me and staring hard. I swear she doesn’t blink for a split second. Her jaw clenches and her eyebrows furrow. I squeeze my thighs shut at the sight, my centre throbbing with want.
I place my hand on Casey’s and lean in to whisper in her ear “Let’s dance” I propose. She smiles excitedly and leads me onto the dancefloor, my hand in hers. Our dancing started tame until I turned my back to face Casey’s front, ass slightly touching her groin. I turn our bodies, so we are both facing Leah’s direction. I throw my arms up, bringing them behind to clasp around the back of Casey’s head pushing her forward to find my neck, her hands finding my waist, the second Casey lays a finger on me Leah immediately gets up.
She smacks Casey’s hands off me. “What the fuck are you doing?” she asks me, in a dominant tone, staring straight through my soul. “Dancing Lee, why what’s wrong” I return, pouting my lip and looking up at her with doe eyes. Leah doesn’t say a word but grabs my wrist so firmly it starts to go red. She leads to a dark quiet corner and pushes me up against the wall, roughly. My stomach riles and I feel my black-laced underwear turn wet at the action. Leah grabs both my wrists and pins them next to my head. “I’ll ask you again” she growls, “what the fuck are you doing?”, stupidly I decide what’s the harm in a little more fun? “And I already told you, darling, dancing” I smirk. Leah’s jaw clenches so hard I can see every bone move, and fuck was it hot. She turns me over quickly, so the front of my body is against the wall, my hands still pinned next to my head, and smacks my ass hard. “You think you’re funny huh?” she groans in my ear, and I feel goosebumps rise on my skin. She smacks my ass again, this time holding onto it after, trailing her hand up my dress until she meets the wet spot on my underwear. “You’re mine” she growls again, whilst she slips my underwear to the side and runs her fingers through my wetness. She slightly dips two fingers into me, then pulls them out, bringing them up to her mouth. “You see this? Only I can taste you like this.” I lick my lips and bite down on my bottom one, hard, trying not to moan.
Leah turns me around again, my back against the wall. She brings her hand up to my jaw then slides it down to my throat and softly squeezes. “Say it.” She demands. “Say you’re mine. Say I’m the only one who can taste you like this, the only one who can touch you. Say it, baby”. I continue to stare at her, too turned on to find any words. She squeezes harder at my throat, prompting me. “I’m yours Leah. Fuck I’m all yours”. I grab her hand and guide it to my lips “These are yours”, I slide it down to my breast “So are these” I continue down to my ass “This as well” Then I finally guide her to my underwear, “and this, this is all yours baby. Forever.”, she smirks hungrily and proud at me. “Good girl.”, “Now take me home and show me I belong to you” I whisper in her ear.
A/n: I LOVE jealous Leah fics so I hope I wrote this one okay, I kind of went on a whim here and made it up as I went. Does anyone want a smut-filled part 2?
Requests are OPEN so send through more Leah fics you'd like to see!

Hello, Mr. Monster: The Nightmare's Interlude
Hello, Mr. Monster master list
Summary: Eros and Psyche inspired Soulmate!AU, Morpheus x female OC/reader (18+)
Tumblr media
So, as some of you know, I've been very sick for a while. Everything's behind schedule, but then this struck me, so I thought I'd share. The Jeff fan club rides again! The next proper chapter will be out... soon? Not doing the tag list thingy for this, but that will return with the next, proper chapter, and I'll give ya'll a heads up about this blurb in case you missed it then. <3
The nightmare was older than the beds beneath which it lurked. It had slipped a cold, hard grasp around dreamer’s ankles before there were words for either. From the dawn of sleeping things, it startled creatures from fantasies and reminded all of the unseen dangers lurking in dark places. Snakes, spiders, and wicked things with tooth and talon. Worse threats, even: strangers and ghosts, murderers and curious thieves.
When the Nightmare King vanished, the thing from under the bed went looking. It was one of many, in the beginning, but others grew distracted, lost hope, or found fresh inspiration in the delights of the waking world. It did not give up its quest. Traveling from shadows under a bed to those under a low table on the other side of the planet, it searched. It saw without eyes and heard without eats. It listened from under chairs and lurked under parked cars. But the waking world was vast, and after nearly a century of hunting, it began to despair.
The Endless were not gods. And the Nightmare King did not take up his mantle with a light heart. Perhaps he’d left, abandoned his creations to wither and fade.
Was that a kinder end than simply unmaking the Dreaming in one, fell stroke?
Perhaps Dream of the Endless was captured. Or ill. Or enchanted by some fell demon. Perhaps he wasn’t in the waking world at all, and he’d been bound in the deepest circles of Hell, or drugged into bliss beyond the gates of Tir na NÒg. Without word, every possibility was as realistic as the last. The nightmare only knew its lord wasn’t dead. If he’d fallen, another aspect would’ve been given his function, and the Dreaming would not stand in ruins.
So, the nightmare kept searching, obsessed with a new purpose, a new reason for existing, and it decided not to return before its lord.
It found all kinds of things. Lost treasures. Creatures hiding from worse monsters than the dark. Other dreams and nightmares seeking refuge from their increasingly-unstable home. Bottles, buttons, and dust bunnies. Never a hint of its lord.
And then – something.
A thread of power reaching out through a sleeping mind, the glitter of sand and ancient power.
The nightmare rushed through the shadows, following the trace like a bloodhound. It would get there first. It would rescue their lord. They would return to the Dreaming and set all right. A quest fulfilled.
But when it finally chased down the source, it didn’t find Lord Morpheus. It reached up to clutch a very small, very human ankle.
The girl-child jerked awake at its touch, hiccupping on tears, and the nightmare wondered which of its brothers it had interrupted. It did not wonder long, though. It was too busy feeling a new sensation, one it was meant to inspire rather than suffer.
Horror.
This child had been… mangled. Deep within. Her mortality hung in tatters, like curtains in the windows of a haunted house, framing what should have been a miracle. His master’s name. The dream of dreams. But whatever had irreparably damaged the child’s natural place in the flow of life and death had carved over the name.
And there was the sand. In her soul. In her blood.
It must pull her deep into dreams, the poor thing.
She was fortunate to wake at all.
A strong child.
Little fingers brushed over nightmarish crusts and ooze, gentle with papery skin, and the little girl said, “Hello.”
The nightmare had never had a conversation with a human child before, and after a moment’s thought, it gave her ankle a slight, answering squeeze. Nothing to hurt her, but enough to acknowledge and return her greeting.
“Are…” Her voice quavered and died, but she tried again, determined. The nightmare hung on her every breath, waiting.
“Are you here to hurt me, too?”
It released her. Instantly. The shadows swallowed it back under the little princess bed, and it recoiled into the inky black as that new feeling – horror – brought goosebumps to its hairless flesh.
This was its lord’s soulmate. It had seen many come and go from Lord Morpheus’ embrace, but this – well. This was different. This was unique. Something that would not come again, even in another dozen millennia. The little human was precious, even if its master was not there to appreciate and protect the one creature whose wyrd twined so intimately with his.
“Don’t go!” A little face appeared, upside-down over the side of the bed, trying to see in spaces too deep for mortal eyes. Even eyes, the nightmare realized, as clever as hers. Oh, the trouble this child must find.
“I’m sorry. I didn’t mean to offend you. Are you… a nice… monster?”
The nightmare returned to the light slowly, ensuring it wouldn’t scare her, and she smiled, reaching down to shake its hand.
“It’s very nice to meet you, Mr. Monster.”
The nightmare did not realize it at the time, but it was already lost. Lost to the hope in terrified eyes and the smile that invited it into the daylight for tea parties. Lost to slow conversations through knocks and a hand-drawn copy of a Ouija board the girl “saw on tv.”
It explained it was a nightmare, and she explained her name meant “dream,” too. When it said it didn’t have a name in the way she did, she gasped, told it that was terrible, and offered him one.
Jeff.
He became Jeff, and without meaning to, he found a new kind of quest. Even if his lord should never return, Jeff would guard his lady. The little dreamer marked for death with terrible power because she’d first been marked for love.
Protector. Guard. Confidante. Friend, even. He’d never been such things, but he took up the role gladly as the child told him about her parents, who knew something had happened to their child, but couldn’t believe her story about the fairy under the bridge. Jeff believed her, and Jeff remembered.
She explained why her favorite foods were the best, why it was important to have a favorite color, and why swings were her favorite part of the playground.
One day she came in with a little bottle, giggling, and called him out. He stretched into the yellow sun, the tips of his fingers brushing the hem of her lavender dress.
“Mommy made my nails pretty, so now I’m gonna paint yours and make you pretty, too, kay?”
She painted his broken, half-peeled fingernails with glittery purple polish, and they made her so happy he kept them that way a whole week. Jeff would do many things to keep her smiling, because sometimes the terror carved into her young mind swelled until she became sick with it. The fear stole the breath from her lungs and the thoughts from her mind. It came most often in the dark, when she felt most alone, and Jeff held her little foot to assure himself she hadn’t shaken apart into broken pieces, and to let her know he was there.
And then came the night he failed her, the night the child lost her family and stared into the eyeless maw of her soulmate’s favorite creation. Jeff tried. He warned her not to go out, and when she didn’t listen, he pulled her under the bed.
But too late. Not enough.
The Corinthian pulled her out of the shadows and sent her running into the woods. Truly alone, where Jeff couldn’t so easily follow.
The child fled, pursued by hungry things in the night, the Not Deer among them.
The Corinthian returned to the room and smiled down at Jeff, wiping the parents’ blood off his knife.
“Nice girl you had there. Real peach.” The greater nightmare crouched low, taking off his sunglasses. “Not ripe yet, of course. It’s better this way, don’t you think? If she can’t survive a few of us, how could she survive our maker?”
He called, and summoned, and reached for every dream and nightmare he knew walked the waking world without malice. Some of them came. Jeff rallied Polyphemus, the shepherd who once carried the smallest dreamers away from the deeper shoals of Nightmare, into gentler dreams.
Enough came. Enough heard. They did what Jeff could not and snatched the plucked the girl out of reach of her pursuers. Polyphemus, and the nightmare Gault, and Fiddler’s Green – who wore a strange shape and a new name.
When that awful, terrible night had ended, when the child – Aisling – was safe enough in the hands of human authorities, Jeff began leaving for longer and longer periods, hunting ardently for his lord. The girl was not safe. She would never be safe until Dream of the Endless returned.
The fear became worse, paralyzing attacks that interrupted her waking hours.
She struggled in even the most welcoming foster homes, trying to navigate a pitying world that saw her as half-mad at best. And when Jeff reached out to comfort her, the other children screamed and ran to tell adults about the monster under the bed.
Other nightmares came to visit, and Aisling made her roommate cry after she asked to leave the closet door open “so the boogeyman can breathe.”
She did not smile so much.
She did not paint his nails, and she stopped drawing Ouija boards after one foster family subjected her to an exorcism.
Jeff listened to many would-be families plead with her to be good or demand to know why tormented the other children. They wanted her, if only she could behave. If only she’d stop lying. If only she’d stop playing sick pranks on the little ones. If, if, if. They only wanted her if. Jeff had seen her face horrors that could break the human mind and still smile after. He did not know how to help, so he held her ankle as she slept, and her hand when she was grounded.
He went with her to therapy sessions, learning beside her as she developed coping mechanisms to manage the fear. Panic attacks, the therapist called them. But the therapist also pushed her to tell a more palatable truth, to accept a human killed her parents, not a nightmare with mouths for eyes. The therapist wanted Aisling to stop talking to shadows and to make a best friend who wasn’t a monster under the bed.
The child, who was a little less a child every day, refused.
In the silvery glow of a full moon, she looked across the bedroom she – for once – had to herself, and told Jeff, “I won’t let any of them tell me what to be.”
The new families did not accept her, and she did not accept them. She wasn’t cruel, but she wasn’t right or normal, so it never mattered if she was kind (though Jeff knew she was). Rather than waiting for age to liberate her, she demanded the mortal courts recognize her as an adult two years too early. She finished her schooling, found a job near the house her parents left for her, and won her independence.
Then she began collecting folk of the Dreaming. The house where the Corinthian killed her parents was remote, far from the city where she’d been hurt. It was a good place for things too delicate, too big, or too strange for the waking world. Polyphemus came and herded them all, keeping the refugees of the Dreaming safe from the greed of the waking, and keeping the folk of the waking safe from the power of the dreamfolk.
The child who was now a woman had adventures. She traveled and developed her intuition into proper magical skill. The dreams and nightmares were her life, and Jeff continued shifting between the child and his eternal search for his master, determined to fail neither one a second time.
He could not have guessed that the child would complete his first quest without his help.

So, that mission called All Hallow’s Eve that is a Creation Club Community Quest officially added to Fallout 4 — the terminal states that it was some disgruntled doorman who put the drugs in the ventilation system.
Once you’re in there, you kill all the party goers/ people who were members of the “New England Technocrat Society.” But his “confession” says it was some sort of experimental drug from “HalluciGen.”
Does that mean that gas coming out of the vents turned all those people into ghouls?! You can bet your ass HalluciGen made the shit Hancock took. Where else would he get it?!

NEW LOTD IS OUT!
It's a BIG update too. New game is MANDATORY.
Also it's not compatible with pre 1.6.1130 versions of Skyrim, not without downpatching anyway. You also want BEES installed if you are on a pre-1130 version.
While the official patch hub, Curator's Companion, Creation Club patches and follower room displays have been updated, other 3rd party patches may need updating separately. That said, the main culprits will be things that update the museum - a compatibility patch that affects something LOTD puts elsewhere might be all right.
Check the Changelog on Nexus and official documentation to see full changes, but a lot of previously separate mods are now part of LOTD.
In particular, Safehouse Plus and the Erikur's Eviction gift shop mod are included now. Also uninstall anything claiming to fix issues with the museum exterior or interior, v6 probably sorted it. You don't want the EVGAT addon that puts ladders on the museum front to get to the safehouse either - v6 gives you proper stairs!
Dev Aveza overhauled completely - you can now park it at ANY map marker you discovered already! Remove anything adding airship locations, you won't need them any more.
Uninstall More Patrons for LOTD, v6 adds new ones AND brings vanilla NPCs to visit!
Fossil Mining now part of the mod as is New Treasure Hunt and Treasure Hunter.
NEW museum quest! Ability to skip Shadows of One's Past. Explorers Guild excavation quests now start when you want them to, they're not forced on you. I think we might have new explorers too. We definitely have a new explorer relic.
Follower rooms are no longer in the Safehouse, the Guildhouse will have a wing for them instead. The main follower room addon sorts this all out for you, and if you had the third-party Xelzaz addon, that's now in the official download (so is Grandma Shirley). But you want to remove anything third party for followers not in the official addon.
Sancre Tor and Rkund's navmesh fixed, remove any extra mods that did this for you.
Vampire coffin in the safehouse! Halloween Decorations! Banner displays when you learn all three words of a Shout! All-Maker Stones FINALLY have displays!
In short, it's looking good. Exciting, eh?

So – Bethesda broke Fallout 4's script extender. Because of course they did. What better way to celebrate the release of your new TV show than to stall people's ongoing playthroughs? Excellent work. I don't even want an Enclave quest. It's Creation Club nonsense, so it won't actually be a proper quest anyway.
I want to finish my Sim Settlements 2 playthrough. Ugh.
So while I'm waiting for the dust to settle on that, I thought I'd give Fallout 76 another go. I am rebuilding my mod list for Fallout 3, but that's a work in progress. And Fallout 76 is right there.
I created a new character, because I haven't played this thing in ages and I know they've changed a bunch of the mechanics. And oh - ha. I mean, I had thought from the beginning that creating a game without NPCs was a terrible idea, because it's hard to invest in saving an empty world. But the addition of them makes playing the game's original main quest a distinctly bizarre experience.
I don't mean that I'm suddenly pro-empty world. Not at all. In general the presence of factions and personalities and people you can care about it a good thing.
But when they made this game, the writers and quest designers were given "empty world" as a parameter within which they had to work. And they did.
It's sort of an interesting, even bold, choice for a storyline because it does not allow you to feel good about yourself at all. Most Fallout games do. Oh, you can play evil if you want, sure, and there are a handful of side quests that are genuinely no win scenarios. But mostly? You can save the world. And you will probably have a better experience if you try to: there's more to do when you talk to the NPCs and deal with their problems rather than just murdering everyone and taking their stuff.
But Fallout 76 is just judging you.
I keep thinking about its promotional song – that really upbeat cover of Take Me Home, Country Roads, and all the imagery in the old trailer, about rebuilding and looking to the future. But all of that is functionally a lie, and the key lines in that song come towards the end:
I hear her voice in the mornin' hour, she calls me The radio reminds me of my home far away Drivin' down the road, I get a feelin' That I should've been home yesterday, yesterday – Take Me Home, Country Roads
You should have been home yesterday. You should have been home a thousand yesterdays ago. This story is all about the past, and a rebuilding effort you neglected to join. It hits you with the guilt straight away, as the very first place the game takes you is an old outpost of emergency service personnel who just kept on doing their jobs after the bombs fell. It's their notes and recordings that teach you how to survive.
Of course you encounter less pleasant people later: raiders and Enclave, and honestly I have little patience for any iteration of The Brotherhood of Steel. But even there, you can see that the misunderstandings and conflicts and general fuck ups might have been resolved with a competent mediator.
And that is exactly what you are. You're a Fallout protagonist. You don't have the time to spend ten years sitting in a lab, but you excel at travelling from town to town and dealing with whatever obstacle is stopping a faction from moving forward. Fallouts 1-4 and assorted spin offs have taught us all that.
Even in universe, Vault 76 is stated to be full of literal geniuses. It is packed with doctors and scientists and engineers: exactly the people the world needed to deal with a combination of plague and environmental crisis.
If you were there, you could have fixed this.
But you were not there. You were sitting comfortably in a vault, while other, better people tried to save the world.
And they were almost there. They had a vaccine. Even with everything, they had a vaccine. They did the work, they had a plan. As you play through this quest, you stand upon the shoulders of giants at almost every stage, implementing the very last step in a plan that really does work. Had they lived, even a few months longer ... but they didn't, and you did nothing to help them.
It wasn't even necessary to spend 25 years in that vault, as it is abundantly clear that the area around 76 has been habitable this whole time. Challenging, sure: I am in no way suggesting that it was an easy existence. But it was not instant irradiated death.
Every other Fallout protagonist steps out of their vault (or other entry scenario) in time to make things right. Maybe just in time, but nevertheless. They walk into a fractured world and get to work. But not you. You took the easy route.
How proud are you of that Best Dental Hygiene award now?
Given that it is set so close to the Great War, and deals with first generation survivors, it gives one of the best looks at the cynical cruelty of Vault-Tec: when they talk about rebuilding the world, it only means rebuilding for its own benefit and profit. Anyone not part of their plan is more than welcome to die in a hole.
It ties in very nicely with the television series, actually. Lucy laments that she was waiting to rebuild the world, but it all happened without her - and Vault-Tec actively tried to destroy that new world (and at least up to a point, seems to have succeeded). Her people waited over 200 years, but it didn't take that long. Twenty-five were quite enough.
But with the new version ... I mean, it really takes the sting out of it. It looks like everybody had a few rough years there, but it's all turned out fine. There's a burgeoning civilisation here, with homesteads and caravans and trade. I can't go two steps without an NPC asking to borrow a bobby pin, and even the raiders are more territorial than outright destructive (although – is nobody going to go up that completely safe little hill and give poor Miguel a funeral? Come on guys, clean up the damn corpses).
The tragedy of the whole thing, and the weight of your own inaction, is largely gone. You can't reshape the world and still make the same impact with that narrative.
I don't know, I guess I just can't quite get behind the whole multiplayer-ness of the thing. The world can't really change as you complete quests. You can't really rebuild. But likewise, if the world does change, it has to change for everyone at the same time, regardless of where they are in the story.
It could still work, I think, if you could play through that story and then see the caravans come over the hill, and start to rebuild the world.
Because that might feel a bit like redemption.

Holy shit I didn’t catch this but in the Fallout show when Charles Whiteknife and Cooper Howard were talking in the bar they mention another actor, Johnny Morton, who plays a rancher who owns half of Missouri in a movie they did.
When I first heard it I thought that he was just some random new made up character they put in just to have a name to say but after curiously going through the Fallout wiki, Johnny Morton has appeared in the games!
He was the guest actor injured on set of The Adventures Captain Cosmos first introduced in the Fallout 4 Creation Club Captain Cosmos quest.
So this is full proof that there is canonicity in the Creation Club content which I’m very glad is cleared up.

i think the funniest thing about the skyrim nexus and its quest mods category is that most of the top ones are just
tell delphine that u won't kill paarthurnax
tell karliah that u won't become a nightingale
become a member of the companions without also having to become a werewolf
(ai) voice work for 10hr creation club quest mods that are for some ungodly reason unvoiced
actually finish that one ship raid quest without killing everyone on the ship
stop quests from starting automatically
etc etc
like for an rpg that game is just entirely devoid of choices, the plainest one being a simple "no" type of choice, and it's paid official mods are for the most part garbage
and nowhere is that more visible than it is when you're browsing that category in particular

“A fortunate son” is such an annoying creation club quest. The dude u need to pick pocket literally never sleeps and spends all day in crowded areas. I eventually gave up and used “move to player” to move him into a secluded area
