hello im new here but i saw your sanctuary au and i really like it!! unfortunately trying to go through the tag only yielded me two posts and i know there's more bc i saw another one while scrolling the whole blog but anyway that's to say if you've talked about the others who are at the sanctuary i only saw Dain's detailed post and here i sit wondering about sanctuary au dottore and/or capitano and how they interact with foul legacy (based on a canon voiceline is our moth wanting to politely spar with cap or does he just try to fight him at any given opportunity? i think i saw that dot can teleport so what kind of shenanigans does he get himself into?) im going to try to search for the rest of the sanctuary au posts as well i love this au

HARBINGERS!!!! MORE HARBINGERS I LOVE THE HARBINGERS- i usually portray Foul Legacy Childe as less battle hungry than in game, but i think he'd still be up for some friendly sparring with a monstery Capitano!! you tell them both that you prefer no blood drawn, but they usually end up with a few nicks here and there, and you simply sigh and sit both of them down to be patched up. Childe still admires Capitano a little bit because he's strong and powerful, but honestly more than anything they both admire YOU for keeping your sanity intact while dealing with multiple Abyss monsters, some of which are NOT as polite and peaceful as Childe

he probably ranks second in terms of "most chaotic", outdone only by Columbina- but you'd actually rather take care of Columbina, since she's fairly cheerful and likes snuggling, which always calms her down. Dottore on the other hand is not so easily pacified, and yes, he can teleport. now usually he'll tell you if he wants to go outside (or is going outside, you can't really stop him), but sometimes he unconsciously teleports when he's asleep, and when he wakes up he immediately starts getting into mischief. he doesn't panic at all, which is nice, but he also does what he wants and will do it NOW until he gets bored. additionally, the only person he has a chance of listening to is you, so whenever he suddenly appears in some city you'll get immediately contacted, either by friends or officials, to come and get your science-loving Harbinger monster. he'll hiss and sulk a bit, but usually he listens when you say he can continue his experiments at home

and while he trots off to the little lab he's constructed, you slump over in Childe's arms, exhausted from a day of chasing down a stubborn Dottore

11.  Books and/or authors who influenced you the most

I don’t think I’ve ever mentioned on this blog how hard I rode for Tamora Pierce as a kid, lmao, and how like… formative that was. If you’ve never read her stuff it’s fantasy -adventure, with a dash of romance, kinda? The first series in that world is The Song of the Lionness, where Alana trades places with her twin brother so she can train as a knight and he can study as a mage but the first series of Pierce’s I ever read was the third, The Protector of the Small, which is like idk, twenty or so years after Alana’s made waves in the world? The main character, Keladry, is the first girl since Alana to train—openly—as a Knight, and like, whereas Alana had magic and literal Gods behind her, Kel has to struggle through it alone and just sort of make her way through this infamous boys club, and you know, old men that resent her (and Alana) and dslkfjsldkfj. idk!!! It made such an impact, you know? After I finished that series I backtracked to the next one my library had, which was The Immortals, which follows a girl called Daine who can understand animals and how she ends up learning how to control her magic under the tutelage of the most powerful mages in the country (there’s an age gap romance involved that one, as a head’s up.)

The fun part tho is that like, Immortals is set oh idk, a while after Lionness, and then Kel and her struggles happen a few years after Daine’s last book and all these characters like, show up in each others stories!!! 🥹 Like, they affect each other’s worlds!! They have weight, they create change!! Alana pretends to be a boy in order to train and ends up like, becoming the first female Knight, opening the land up to the Gods—and then a few years later Daine comes along, and with her wild magic tears the space between the land and the Gods wide open, sending monsters throughout the relam and making knights like Alana—someone who Daine now knows, thanks to life at the palace—scatter across the land to fight them. And then years after that you have Kel coming along, at like, what, twelve? Kel who wants to train as a knight because of the stories about Alana and her efforts in that war, Kel who grew up with brothers who like, rode off to also train as knights, who end up having to face the last of the monsters that ended up trapped in their world when the heavenly rift was closed by Daine. Daine, who’s still at the palace when Kel trains—who’s there to talk to her horse, because he’s not listening/cooperating with this young girl. This young girl who’s like, all alone in her training because the King—who’s kinda scary, who used to be a smart-assed prince who’s best friend was a girl pretending to be boy—has forbidden Alana from talking to her. And I’m not even like, scratching the surface in how they’re all interwoven LOL. They make up that whole world, they have lives outside of their own series and idk—I’ve just always liked that. 🥹 In the wake of finding Tamora’s stuff I ended up making up my own little fantasy story: it was just a rip-off of Tortall, lmao, but I napped out like a good three hundred years, roughly? Of like, interconnected generations and characters. 🥹 Like it literally starts with a random noble girl getting kidnapped by pirates and then two hundred years later her descendants marry onto the Throne like. LMAO. Tamora is a stand-out for me for like, truly instilling that interconnectivity and next-generation type storytelling in me. Her and the V.C. Andrew books, and then Juliet Marillier. The trifecta of fiction that arrived roughly the same time—just at the most perfect, impressionable age. 🥹

17.  What writing habits or rituals do you have?

tbh I can’t afford to have true rituals to write—I’d never get anything done, ever, LOL. A reoccurring habit I do have though is that I end up in the same coffee shop with the same order when I’m forcing myself to write, though!! Being outside kinda puts a timer on things, which ends up prompting me to write more than noodling around at home does sdlkfjlsdkfj.

Creator reader who is Aether and Lumine’s big sibling or parent? They come to check on Teyvat after not finding their siblings in various other worlds they made and are not happy with the sustainer of heavenly principles.

So they grab the traveler while also adopting Paimon, then go straight to the Abyss and get the abyss twin and say “time to go fix this MESS”

so then they go find Dain and say “these are my siblings/kids I’m sorry for whatever trouble they may cause because they’re clever and resourceful. Anyways if you could babysit them I’d love that just call my name if you need anything” they of course tell him their name and stuff

then go off to get all of the archons and go tear Celestia a new one because of how many lives they ruined.

So they topple Celestia and take over so they can make things genuinely better for Teyvat and the abyss alike.

At this point Dain has had to deal with the twins and Paimon for about half a day when reader comes back and says “thanks for babysitting, I know it was sudden but I’m also doing stuff to fix the last 5 centuries”

So then Dain now has a family again because reader decides to say ‘screw it’ and let their simping get the better of them

Ok, first ,every religion has a "Creation of the universe in the way that we see it", and many of them begin with a couple. From them , Creator, Aether, and Lumine started to exist (Creator as the creator of everything, and the twins as the stars).

Now, in this scenario, the Creator is a pretty chill God. They aren't even intimidating or anything, they just like to create, make new stuff, and OOOOH they love humans! What a masterpiece they could have achieved! Now, their relationship with the twins is a simple one. They care for each other and, since they are still too young to become full gods, the Creator gives them the full freedom that they could have, letting them explore various worlds, see more people, and have fun, as long as they don't create any trouble, of course.

Lumine: Y/N! We found a new and funny world! Y/N: Is that so? So, how was it? Aether: It was colorfull! With a lot of life! And there was this strange creature, similar to a ball, that ate stuff and took its power from that thing! Y/N:...What?

So, at some point, the Creator decides to have fun like their siblings and explore a little. A more than well-earned vacation! I mean, they make up all of Teyvat. They are exhausted! They don't exactly give all power to the Archons, just enough to not let things slip, and to make sure that, if things go bad, they can tell the sustainer of heavenly principles...Because they are the only one that can contact them.

And that was a terrible idea.

When the Creator got back (imagine in the same way as Merlin in the Disney movie, dress up just like him), they found out that their siblings were gone. For the same reason that there was an Archon war and many of them were gone, there was a huge cataclysm and many nations that they likee were RIPPED OFF from Teyvat.

Y/N: I 'literally' left for a few years! What happened?!* Zhongli:..Well, you better sit down for this... it can be quite overwhelming. Venti: In our defends... we tried. Y/N: Who the hell are you? Zhongli: It's the Anemo Archon, your grace, Barbatos. Y/N: WHAT HAPPENED TO THE OTHER? Zhongli:..As I was saying, you may sit for this one.

Did you ever leave a blog with a few people and come back to find that everything you had done had to be redone? Yeah, that's the feeling. 

The first thing you do is take back your sibling, the traveler. It's not a problem; they are the ones that came back first to you. The abyss one is quite problematic, but it's not like you can't try to do something right and resolve what the other gods have made. Not to mention that, when you left, you noticed this nation that prospered without the aid of a divine power, and you were quite optimistic and interested in their work! So yeah, you are quite pissed. 

Once you found out the last of the fallen kingdom, you humbly apologized and promised to do the right thing. Imagine the faces of Dain and Kaeiya. They knew that the gods are strange, but you are quite the subject!

Y/N: Okay, I'm going to deal with the susteiner and stuff. Still, I know I can't bring back all of the kingdom. But at least I can reverse the curse that was imposed on your people. Dainsleif:I'ts..already enough, you gr- Y/N: You can just call me Y/N. And don't thank me, this is the least thing i can do for your people.

After having dealt with all of this stuff, it's time to deal with the seven (the Archons are cool, but you need to speak to them about some of their behaviour) and the other gods that still live in Celestia (that is technically your house btw). Let's just say that it's time to downsize the number of deities, especially the ones that had a lot of fun mistreating mortals, so you stripped them of their power and now they have to live with them (LOL serve you right). One day, a giant throne will be thrown from the island in the sky. You don't need that thing, so you replaced it with a desk, which is far more comfortable and useful.

Y/N: Shit, I hope this thing still moves... Venti..move? Y/N: Well yeah, Celestia move in the sky...it rotate you know? It follows the- Venti: It moves?! But... why?! Y/N: A more favorable viewpoint! If you wish to see clearly, you must go to the higher ground! Venti:So, it's not a metaphor about the insignificance of the ones that live under it? Y/N:...WHAT?! NOOOU! I even have a control room there!

Finally, things started to get better. You fixed all the mess, and now you have to look after your rebuilt world. It's a mess, it's not simple, but you have a lot of new helpers that wish to be useful. Especially Dainsleif!

He had noticed that you don't show the same characteristics as the other gods; you are... human. Capable of admitting mistakes and that your downfall was due to misplaced trust, but yet you didn't give up and fix what you needed to be saved. He can't see you as his god, not to mention that you don't want to. More like a friend.

Okay. Another brainrot. I have plenty of it for this au and I'm kinda tempted to create one fics based on this au if you allowed it, of course.

So, if it is evil then there should be a hero, right? I kinda imagined Dainself role for this haunted AU to be some sort of High Priest or something. He meets with the young Y/n in her house or somewhere. Maybe by accident or because her parents noticed that something is wrong with her and called for him.

So the doll will be on alert because they know and notice his aura. They then labeled him as a threat. Dain looked at them coldly before turning back to the child with soft eyes.

Imagined a grown-up man glaring at the doll that had been hugged by Y/n 😂 while her parents are just 😃 'What happened here?'

I'm sorry for the rambling but it's hard to find a blog that writes some kind of platonic yandere. And when I found yours is like I found a treasure 😭💕💕💕

Sorrryyyy for the really really long wait (at first i was supposed to answer this when i finished exams...but then I got sick ;;) on this but sure! You totally write something based on this au ^^ tell me if you do I would definitely read it! And thaaaank you for your compliments!

The reason why it took so long for me to answer this is that I do not know where to place Dainslief just yet. Because here is the thing why should there be a hero? The reader doesn't know that her dolls are hurting the people around her and that many of the weird things that happened can be by chance not that her parents would believe that seeing your grandfather's reaction who basically worships this whole doll thing and dedicated himself to it.

Maybe it happened once but it doesn't work. They called many professionals but nothing works... hah...

Maybe I might implement him as some sort or helper, maybe he might be another doll. I am not so sure yet to be honest but when it happens, it happens and the reader will.... probably be still sane by then? No promises.

— 𝐂𝚮𝚨𝐍𝐆𝐄𝐒 &. 𝐔𝐏𝐃𝚨𝐓𝐄𝐒 𝐓𝐎 𝐌𝐘 𝐂𝚨𝐍𝐎𝐍 due to experiencing canon i will make slight changes to my own canon for this blog. since mhy did indeed try to come for me. however, i won’t be changing a lot. i will have an au verse that is for the game canon, since i didn’t actually hate it. THERE WILL BE SPOILERS

the core of my blog canon had been that ei was heavily affected by the fall of khaenri’ah, due to losing someone close to her — @khaenruen. after this loss, ei began to seek a way to get revenge on celestia, as well as keep her people safe from celestia’s wrath. 

THE CHANGES: instead of just losing one person, ei kept on losing people, it starter with sasayuri, next was chiyo, and during the cataclysm she lost not one but three people at the same time. her dear friend, her sister and her beloved. during this time is when she started to change. she sought for a way to free her people from celestia, but also get revenge on celestia. she bestowed it upon herself to create an unchanging eternity for herself and her people. she cast aside her physical form and created the perfect vessel to host her conciousness,  she did this to avoid erosion and last for an eternity. she would use her experiments to continue to create new vessels when the one she had was of no more use. the vessels were always of her likeness, and no one in inazuma aside from yae, knows that ei was not always the raiden shogun. 

NAME CHANGE: so ei’s supposed to be beezlebub, but i’m swapping it out for baal. because i like that better and i’m already connected to it. in my canon ei is baal and makoto is beezlebub.

THE VISION HUNT: my initial ideas regarding the vision hunt is that they had begun as sacrificies for ei’s eternity and ploy to get revenge on celestia, by gathering their power onto the statue of the thousand-armed, hundred-eyed god, and that by placing 100 visions on the statue, ei would have enough energy to create a beam in the middle of the wings pointed upright and focus her own powers on that to break the false sky and cause celestia to come falling down. CHANGES: though the fatui have been accused of being the ones to start the vision decree, ei did not stop it. while originally she let people willingly part with their visions. ❨ there was a man who lost a duel to ayato and gave up his vision without losing his memories, so i figure it’s alright if they purposely give it up? ❩ the fatui basically expedited her own plans, and created mistrust with her and her people. now the people of inazuma felt betrayed because they had been willing to part with their visions, but at their own pace. ei having been secluded inside of herself, she did not see the people’s suffering, she only felt their wrath. she decided it was something she could handle and that eventually they would understand that her ‘wrath’ and ‘cruelty’ was being done for their sake. however, she does come to realize that what she is doing is more harmful than it is helpful. still, she needs her plans in place in order to keep them safe from celestia. so yes, she then purposely pushes forward because she thinks more about the future than she does the present.

GNOSIS: i was always under the impression that ei had no gnosis.  CHANGES: i will keep the canon of yae miko being the keeper of ei’s gnosis, and ei never having used that gnosis because it was originally her sister’s. she couldn’t bring herself to fully connect herself with celesita, and after her sister’s, kitsune saiguu, and dains supposed death she declared a silent war against celestia. the connection between the balladeer and ei is strong enough, because both vessels were created of the same experiment. ei didn’t know this would happen, but she did tell yae to give the gnosis to scaramouche to protect inazuma from both the fatui and celestia. as long as the gnosis is still active and not destroyed, then there’s no reason for celestia to suspect anything else. 

THE SHOGUN: originally i knew that there would be a vessel involved, but i wasn’t prepared for it to sort of have it’s own will?  CHANGES: the shogun isn’t capable of acting without ei’s will. ei does mediate inside of her vessel, but the vessel rarely speaks without ei’s say so. ei adopted a cold persona and the vessel made it easier for her to block out her emotional feelings. she has been afraid of letting anyone in because she’s afraid of loss. so her coldness was meant to keep people away, but there isn’t a vessel that speaks for her. she only speaks for herself. though once she programs the vessel to be more like herself, she’s not as capable of being cold and ruthless like she had been, and the changes are hard to shift back after she alters them—since the vessel’s programming is almost like teaching a child something new.

𝐗𝐋𝐕𝐈𝐈. Despite the inspiration taken from Lovecraft to attribute to pure-blooded Khaenri'ahns the characteristic that they're "immortal" (see immortal as long-living rather than unable to die, as they can die from violence, external or originated from themselves), I want to add one more event that brings death to them more in a spiritual way (that later on can precipitate in a physical way to finish said life off), and that is related to knowledge. There are various instances in which is revealed that people gained knowledge, be it from Irminsul itself or by being particularly good observers of the heavens —given Khaenri'ah's special location and various descriptions, perhaps the sky the kingdom was under is outside the shell that is Phanes' artificial sky—.

Nevertheless, knowledge comes at a price. Starting from acquiring it from Irminsul, Sumeru revealed that there are those talented enough to connect with it in search of answers —whether it's what they were looking for exactly or something different remains unknown— aren't invulnerable of losing their minds and every consciousness transferral is a lottery to coming back in one piece or the complete opposite. Furthermore, there is also the risk of encountering knowledge that shakes the very foundations of what those people knew until then. A prime example is how finding out a certain truth during the Crimson Moon dynasty (as per this blog's worldbuilding, the prospect that the crimson moon that was so revered wound up being Ronova, one of the four shades that shackle Teyvat) caused such an uproar that it precipitated the end of that era with blood and those who ascertained that truth were exiled.

Given the importance of the knowledge they've earned and the belief that those who become the most enlightened are closest to the Primordial Human that was one of the responsible ones for giving birth to their race, a tradition of submitting themselves into meditation in order to gain even more knowledge was built as a means to enrich themselves further. Among those who were known for having received important knowledge and that helped the kingdom thrive because of it are: Rhinedottir, Hroptaptyr, Vedrfolnir and Dain (arguably Surtalogi and Rerir too).

✦ Rhinedottir: Through the discovery behind creation and the posterior establishment of the Art of Khemia. She's the one closest to the forbidden knowledge / taboo behind it due to her ambitious search for perfection in creating humans as the peak of the Magnus Opus.

✧ Hroptaptyr: Which led him to possess the title of The Wise and become the main sage that will guide the coming kings.

✦ Vedrfolnir: Who would be known as the Visionary, the Prophet due to his achievements in being able to glimpse the fate of this world in ways that affect its entirety such as the prophecy of Fontaine.

✧ Dain: Who would be known as the Truthseeker (later turned into a sword art and after that a philosophy of its own) for being able to draw information from the past from Irminsul and offer a better understanding of the workings of Teyvat. While not a prophet or a visionary (yet) like his brother, his understanding of the past and cohesive and trustworthy hypotheses of the future earned him another title: Confluence Between the Past and the Future.

In focusing each on their own ideals and interests, those would would be later known among Khaenri'ahns as the Five Sinners also find knowledge about the Void, which would serve later on as their main point of interest to covet it for their own reasons and the motive behind the knowledge within the society that only the Abyss can topple the Gods. For this reason and due to the undesirable turn that the higher stratum of the society was taking, Dain stopped sharing his discoveries completely in order to not feed more the fire that was being created. Given that it became the same for the other five at some point, no repercussions manifested as a result of it and instead, people treated it as the six of them "acquiring knowledge hard to understand for the others", thus the lack of necessity to share it.

So the LU boys are soulmates in the realist most platonic way possible. As such there should be an AU where they have red strings of fate. (Probs a diff color bc platonic but the point stands) This means they should have all many strings that are all tangled up whent hey first meet. It can also focus on angst where they just see a bunch of their soul strings fading into nothing after a few inches, rather than normal foot or two. But none of that is why I thought about it.
