tasm!Peter Parker x fem!reader ♡ 1.2k words
Peter’s having a rough week. These things always seem to happen to him. He’s got a big presentation at work on Friday, by which time the project he’s been underfunded and understaffed for has to be finished. His Aunt May has been busy with work, too, so either you or Peter is at her place most nights trying to help out, except she seems to think when it’s Peter it’s familial responsibility but when it’s you it's an unfair burden, so it’s mostly been Peter. There’s also an impressively organized cell of criminals he’s been trying to investigate before they blow up a bank or something. So of course, he’s sleep deprived to boot.
And while you know the rough edge of frustration in his voice isn’t meant for you, hearing it makes your skin tighten nonetheless.
“How does a person run out of salt?” Peter stalks through the front door and straight into the kitchen. “Or maybe the better question is, why does it take going to three bodegas to find one with salt in stock?”
He’s soaked from the rain, and you feel guilty for being all cozied up on the couch while he’s been running around the city. Maybe it’s irrational, but you feel sort of like you should have been stressed out and cold all night, too. In solidarity.
“May didn’t have salt?” you guess as Peter opens the fridge, stooping low to peer inside.
“You should see her pantry, babe. It’s like everything either expired at the turn of the century or got bugs in it. Hey, did you make anything for dinner?”
“No.” You hesitate. “You told me you wanted to eat at May’s, so I had the leftovers from last night.”
“Shit.” He closes the fridge, resting his forehead on the door. “You’re right. I totally forgot, I only made enough for her.”
“I’ll make something now.” You stand. Peter gives you a look that conveys both apology and gratitude as you join him in your small kitchen. “You feel like pasta?”
“Thank you,” he says, kissing the top of your head lightly.
“Course,” you murmur. Really, it feels like the least you can do. “Would you mind chopping up some basil?”
“For my own dinner?” Peter teases. The levity in his voice is obviously forced, and the air between you heavies as he realizes you’ve heard it too.
You almost don’t want to ask, but you do want to be a supportive girlfriend. You can lend him a compassionate ear. “How was work today?”
He sighs, grabbing the cutting board from a cabinet near your feet and shutting the door with perhaps a tad too much force.
“It was…ahh.” He scrubs a hand through his hair, stooping again into the white fridge light to find the basil. It casts dark shadows underneath his eyes. “You’ve gotta be sick of hearing about this.”
“It’s okay. Unless you don’t feel like talking about it.”
“No, it’s just, how do they expect us to stick to their tight schedule when half of my lab is being pulled away to other projects all the time?” Peter’s knife slices through the basil, hitting the cutting board with a sharp thunk. “Today, we were down one intern who caught the stomach flu, and it set us way back. One intern shouldn’t be that crucial to a big project like this!”
You hum, ignoring the way the back of your neck prickles. The tension emanating from Peter is completely valid, your reaction a bothersome, purposeless souvenir from an old life. You find yourself staring into the pot of water and waiting for it to boil.
“And it’s not like it’s anyone’s fault, but all the rest of us are working extra hours to try and get this done in time.”
Small bubbles in the bottom of the pot, rising tentatively to the surface. Peter’s knife thunks a quickening rhythm on the cutting board.
“If they’d given us the money we asked for, we could have hired more people, been working with better equipment, but instead—” The water starts to rumble, steam warming your face. It’s thick in your throat. “—it’s like we don’t even work for a top-notch lab. Like, do they think we really believe they don’t have any resources to spare?”
Peter’s voice is rising, irritation sharpening his words. You reach to turn down the stove when big bubbles reach the surface, splattering hot onto your wrist. You ignore the sting.
“My boss keeps talking about how important this presentation is,” Peter goes on, opening the cabinet next to your head and reaching inside, “but if it were really important, he’d have—” He slams the cabinet door.
You both freeze.
To anyone else, it would look like nothing—the way your expression stays perfectly still, your muscles stiffening just slightly, the invisible pause in your heartbeat. But Peter knows you.
“Sorry.” He sounds as breathless as you feel. “I’m sorry. You okay?”
“Mhm.” Despite your best intentions, your voice comes out pitchy. You can’t make yourself move in a way that feels natural, so you stay not moving at all. Steam wafting warm up onto your face.
“I’m sorry, sweetheart,” Peter says, tone softer than you’ve heard it in days. “I shouldn’t have—I didn’t mean to yell.” The roiling pot has calmed to a gurgle. You can see him swallow in your peripheral vision. “Can you look at me?”
You take in what you hope is a subtle breath, turning to your boyfriend with a wan smile. “Sorry,” you manage. “I don’t know why I did that.”
“It’s okay,” he says, brows bunched in the middle. Brown eyes like a puppy’s.
He shifts his arms, a question, and you step into them. You do it more for him than for you, but the second Peter’s arms wrap around your back the last of the tension shudders out of you. You hug him back, rubbing between his shoulder blades reassuringly.
“I scared you?” he asks, still in that soft voice like he’s afraid of startling you. It’s not really a question. “I’m sorry, baby. I didn’t mean to get so mad.”
“You’re allowed to be mad,” you argue weakly. There’s an embarrassing blockage in your throat. “It’s not your fault if I freak out, you should still be allowed to vent.”
“No, but I know how you are.” Peter squeezes your shoulders. “I can vent without slamming things. It’s not nice.”
You don’t have much of an argument for that. Still, “You really shouldn’t be the one comforting me right now,” you point out.
A light hum. “Says who? I’m feeling a lot better already.” His hand climbs up to cup the back of your neck, his face turning down so his lips rest on your head. “Should’a just gone straight for the hug when I got home. Might have saved us both a lot of ranting.”
You push your face into his sweatshirt, mindless of its dampness. He smells like rainwater. You don’t know how you could ever have thought, even for a second, that someone like this could be capable of hurting you.
“I’ll make a note of that,” you murmur.
“Yeah, please do,” Peter teases, pressing a kiss to your head. He pulls away and sets two still-chilled hands on your face. “Are you really okay?” he asks sincerely. “I know how scared you get, sweetheart. I’m so sorry I did that to you.”
“You didn’t mean to,” you tell him, “and it wouldn’t be your fault anyways. I’m really okay.”
Your boyfriend nods, but he still looks troubled. “Another hug for good measure?”
“For you or for me?”
A corner of his mouth kicks up. “Does it matter?”
It doesn’t really.

[No Escape until Dawn] Chapter 1
The low hum of machinery and the faint smell of cleaning supplies drifted through the massive halls of the PizzaPlex, a sensory cocktail of fluorescent lights, metal, and plastic that somehow managed to feel suffocating even in its cavernous spaces. As the main lights dimmed to a cool glow signaling closing time, Sunflower—at least, that’s what Sun had started calling her—checked her watch and exhaled. Midnight. The rest of the staff had filed out for the night, but she lingered for a last check of the daycare, locking up the storage closets, switching off the ambient music, and tidying up stray toys.
She’d been working for five months as the Daycare Assistant, as her staff badge proudly read. The idea had seemed quaint when she’d first started, the bright face of the solar bot , his well-rehearsed friendliness. It almost seemed like a joke when she’d been hired to “help him.” But as the echo of her footsteps filled the cavernous lobby as Starlight approached the main gates, her heart sank when she saw the steel shutters already down, the locks in place. She forgot they closed early today, and 9 pm had snuck up too fast. She gave the handle an experimental tug, but it didn’t budge. Her pulse quickened as the reality set in: she was locked inside the Pizzaplex, with no way out until morning.
“Damn it,” she muttered, glancing around the dark, empty lobby. Tonight of all nights? I was supposed to binge the next episode of Arcane.
She exhaled sharply, considering her options. Should she contact management? The thought of explaining herself left a bitter taste in her mouth. The rules were strict, and she’d seen staff get written up for less. She’d heard the stories too—the whispers about employees who simply vanished, their lockers mysteriously emptied by morning. Rumors floated through the break room like ghost stories, tales of staff disappearing after they’d seen something they weren’t supposed to.
She shivered, deciding against calling management. The last thing she wanted was to risk her job for what might just be an accident.
Well, she thought, taking a deep breath, I guess there’s only one place to go. She turned back, her shoes clicking against the cold tile as she made her way down the long, dim fluorescent lit corridors leading back to the daycare. It was a relief, in a way, to have the option. She didn’t know where else she’d feel safe in the vastness of the closed Pizzaplex, with its winding halls and dark corners. At least Sun would be there to keep her company.
When she reached the double doors of the daycare, she took a steadying breath before pushing them open, letting the warmth and light wash over her. And there he was, exactly where she’d left him: Sun, standing in the middle of the colorful play area, his face lighting up the moment he saw her.
“Sunflower!” he greeted, his voice filled with delight as he stretched his arms out toward her, his sun rays spinning in joyful circles. “You came back!”
She chuckled, feeling the tension in her shoulders ease. “Looks like I didn’t have much of a choice, Sun. They locked me in.” She sighed, pretending to be exasperated, but the truth was… she felt safe here. Safer than she had out in the halls.
“Oh dear!” Sun replied, his hands fluttering to his face in exaggerated concern. “What a terrible mistake!” His voice dipped to a playful murmur. “But I’m glad, you know. I was sad thinking I wouldn’t see you until tomorrow.” He paused, his eyes brightening with excitement. “Now we can have fun all night long!”
She felt herself blush, wondering why his touch always seemed so warm, so comforting. There was something in his presence that settled her nerves, made the vastness of the Pizzaplex feel… cozy.
“Sounds like you’re thrilled to have a little company,” she teased, taking a tentative step closer. He held out his arms with his usual enthusiasm, and she let herself be pulled into a soft hug, his touch wrapping her in an almost parental warmth.
He pulled back, looking at her with a soft, bright expression. “Only a little,” he replied, his voice dripping with playfulness. “Well, maybe a lot.” His sun rays spun faster, showing the excitement in his frame. “How about a game of hide-and-seek, hmm? We haven’t played since last week.”
She laughed, feeling the remnants of her worry melt away. “Alright,” she said, grinning up at him. “But no peeking!”
He gasped, feigning innocence. “Me? Peek? Why, I would never, my little Sunflower.” He spun on his heel, covering his eyes as he began to count. “One… two… three…”
As he counted, she darted toward the play structures, weaving between plastic trees and foam mats, her heart pounding. She knew it was just a game, but the adrenaline made her giddy. There was something thrilling about having Sun searching for her, his joyful, singsong voice calling out her nickname. She squeezed herself behind a pile of giant, foam blocks, trying to stifle her laughter as his voice floated through the daycare.
“Seventeen… eighteen… nineteen… twenty!” He turned, his eyes scanning the room, his sun rays spinning in a slow, deliberate rhythm. “Ready or not, here I come!”
A strange thrill shot through her as he moved through the room, his gaze sweeping over every corner, his voice low and playful. “Oh, Sunflower… where are you hiding?” She pressed her hand over her mouth, trying not to make a sound, her heart pounding louder in her chest as he neared.
Finally, he stopped right in front of her hiding spot, looking directly into the foam blocks. “Found you!” he cried triumphantly, reaching out and gently pulling her from her hiding place, his laughter filling the room as she broke into a grin.
“You always find me,” she teased, rolling her eyes playfully.
He chuckled, his hand resting lightly on her shoulder as he looked down at her with a warm, almost adoring expression. “Of course, I always find you, my little Sunflower. I’m very good at knowing where you are.” His voice held a note of something softer, something almost possessive, but his smile remained bright, innocent.
The way he looked at her made her heart skip a beat. She knew he was only playing, only teasing her the way he always did, but something in his gaze felt different tonight, a quiet intensity lingering beneath the cheer.
She glanced down, feeling her cheeks warm. Why is my heart beating so hard? she wondered, trying to shake off the strange feeling. She was just tired, that was all. She’d been planning to go home, to relax in bed, to binge her favorite show and unwind. That was all it was.
As if sensing her distraction, Sun tilted his head, watching her with a curious, affectionate smile. “You look tired,” he said softly, his hand gently brushing a strand of hair from her face. “It’s been a long day, hasn’t it?”
She nodded, surprised by the softness in his voice, the way his hand lingered for a moment longer than necessary. His touch was comforting, steady, a warmth she didn’t want to pull away from.
“You know, it’s funny,” he continued, his tone still soft. “I’ve always wondered what it would be like to spend a whole night with you. To see you resting, safe and sound.” His words sent a quiet thrill through her, the casual affection in his voice giving way to something deeper, something that made her heart flutter in her chest.
She forced herself to laugh, trying to shake off the strange feeling. “Well, looks like you’re getting your wish,” she replied, smiling up at him. “Guess you’ll have to keep me entertained all night long.”
His smile brightened, his sun rays spinning faster. “That, my dear Sunflower, is a promise,” he said, his voice filled with delight. “How about I show you all my favorite places in the daycare? There are plenty of places you haven’t seen yet, after all.”
She raised an eyebrow, intrigued. “Oh? You’re telling me there’s more to this place than play structures and coloring books?”
“Much more,” he replied, winking playfully. “Follow me!”
He took her hand, leading her through the daycare, pointing out little nooks and hidden corners, places he'd hide during hide and seek, or the best viewpoint to watch the littles, his voice filled with enthusiasm as he showed her every detail. She could feel his hand gently holding hers, the warmth of his touch sending little sparks of excitement through her. He was so kind, so attentive, and something about his presence made her feel… safe. As they walked, she found herself relaxing, the stress of the night slowly melting away as she let herself enjoy his company.
He paused, glancing at the lights above with a faintly apprehensive expression. “Just so you know, the lights in the daycare… they’re on a timer.”
She frowned, tilting her head. “A timer?”
“Yes. One hour on, one hour off,” he explained carefully, his voice softening. “When they go out, it… means things change around here. I’d rather you didn’t wander when it’s dark.” He glanced away, his expression unreadable. “I’d hate for you to be somewhere… unsafe.”
She nodded slowly, remembering the rumors she’d heard about the daycare. Tales of the mysterious, shadowy figure that supposedly shared a body with Sun—a dark entity called Moon. She’d always dismissed the stories as nothing more than staff gossip, cautionary tales told to explain the strange disappearances of some of the employees. She’d even laughed them off, convinced that whatever “Moon” was, he couldn’t be that bad.
Still, something about the way Sun was watching her, his expression tense and serious, made her feel a twinge of apprehension.
“Well, I won’t go far,” she promised, giving him a reassuring smile. “I’ll stay close. I trust you.”
His face brightened, his eyes filling with relief as he squeezed her hand gently. “Thank you, Sunflower,” he murmured, his voice barely above a whisper. “It means the world to me.”
She smiled, her heart warming at the softness in his gaze. He really is sweet, she thought, feeling a strange, quiet affection growing in her chest. Sun felt safe, familiar, and being with him made the vast emptiness of the Pizzaplex seem a little less daunting.
But just as she felt herself relaxing, the lights started to clunk out, slowly plunging the daycare into darkness from the far wall, row by row of light, getting closer. She froze, her eyes widening in confusion. It's not even 10 yet? What's going on?? She felt Sun’s hand slip away, the warmth of his touch vanishing as a faint, metallic hum filled the air.
A chill ran down her spine, the memory of the stories about Moon flickering in her mind. She tried to steady her breathing, forcing herself to stay calm. It’s just a story, she told herself. Baseless rumors.
But as the darkness deepened, approaching quickly, a quiet tension settled over the room, and she felt an unspoken shift in the air.
The lights directly above them clicked off with a harsh finality, plunging the daycare into an unnatural darkness that sent a shiver racing down Starlight’s spine. She froze, her hand instinctively reaching out to where Sun had been standing, but in the thick silence, her fingers met only empty air.
A strangled, agonized sound broke the silence, a sound so desperate and raw that it struck her to her core. She turned, her eyes straining to find him in the dark. “Sun?”
“Oh no, no, no,” Sun’s voice trembled, carrying a deep, gut-wrenching fear she’d never heard before. He was clutching at his faceplate, his rays spinning erratically as though fighting to remain visible. “I… I’m so sorry, Sunflower, I… I didn’t mean… it’s not supposed to be now… hide, please hide—”
His voice fractured, descending into a garbled mix of static and broken sounds as he gripped his head, his form visibly straining as if fighting something internal. But even as he seemed to resist, his rays slowly retracted into his faceplate, vanishing with a metallic whir. His cheerful yellows and reds melted away, replaced by a haunting blend of deep blues and whites. A long nightcap unfurled from the back of his head, a cold, dark counterpoint to Sun’s usual sunny crown.
Starlight took a step back, her stomach twisting. She’d never truly feared him before, not Sun, but watching him now—his body writhing as he transformed, his frame jerking against itself—left her frozen in horror.
“Please, just go,” he managed one last, desperate plea, his voice barely recognizable before it shattered into static.
Then, with a jarring snap, he went silent.
As the silence stretched on, a new figure took Sun’s place: darker and angled oddly, with piercing red eyes that gleamed in the darkness like embers. His body seemed to settle into his shape, his limbs moving fluidly now, his joints creaking as he adjusted to the new form. It was Moon. And he was staring at her.
“Oh god,” she whispered, every muscle in her body going rigid as a chill washed over her. She took a shaky breath, her pulse racing as the shock settled into a sharp edge of fear. Is Moon really that bad?
Her mind screamed at her to move, to run, to find a place to hide. Heart pounding, she turned and darted toward the play structure, her body moving on instinct as she scrambled for safety.
Hide, just hide. Her breaths came shallow and quick as she climbed into the play structure, her hands clutching the padded edges of the entryway. The once bright and inviting tubes, the small padded corridors she could only crawl through, now seemed to press in around her, their cheerful colors swallowed by the darkness, leaving only the feeling of claustrophobia as the tight spaces closed around her. She forced herself deeper inside, her knees and palms sinking into the soft, plasticky padding, the muffled sound of her movements blending with the strange creaks and groans of the structure itself.
A dark, static-filled chuckle resonated through the air, reverberating through the tubes, making her skin crawl.
“Hidey-hide,” a voice purred, so low it felt like it was whispering directly into her mind. “Hide away…”
The sound of Moon’s voice was far different from Sun’s. It was gravelly, sinister, punctuated by bursts of static, as though his words were being filtered through some broken speaker. Every syllable dripped with something dark and mocking, and the way he drew out the words left a pit of dread churning in her stomach.
She crawled forward, her hands shaking as she moved deeper into the play structure. Her fingers fumbled against the foam padding, her breaths shallow as she clung to the walls, squeezing herself into a corner where the padding narrowed. It was a cramped space, one she could barely turn in, but it was something, a place she could hide.
This is just a prank, she tried to tell herself, though even as she thought it, she could feel the lie in it. Sun wouldn’t do this to me, would he?
But that desperate, strangled cry still echoed in her ears, and she knew—whatever this was, Sun had been terrified. That was no act.
A flicker of movement caught her eye, and she froze, her breath catching in her throat. Moon’s figure appeared just outside the play structure, his body moving with an eerie grace, his limbs looking too long, too fluid, though they were the same as Sun’s. He approached the structure’s mesh walls, his red pupils sharp and unblinking as they scanned the interior, the glow of them cutting through the darkness with a haunting intensity.
“Come out, come out, wherever you are…” he sang softly, his voice laced with a dark amusement.
Starlight pressed herself further into the tight corner, willing herself to become invisible, her pulse pounding as she watched him through the mesh. His face twisted into a grin, his eyes narrowing as they swept across her hiding place, and for a moment, she dared to hope he hadn’t seen her.
But then his gaze settled on her, locking her in place as if he’d known she was there all along.
Her heart leapt to her throat, terror freezing her in place as his eyes bore into her. The small barrier of mesh between them felt like nothing, a flimsy excuse for protection as he scaled the side of the structure, getting closer, his grin widening. His pupils contracting as he looked at her with an intensity that made her stomach twist.
“Found you,” he whispered, his voice barely a breath, though it carried through the structure like a haunting melody.
Starlight swallowed, her mind racing as she considered bolting, darting deeper into the structure, away from those unblinking red eyes. But before she could move, his hand shot out, gripping the outside of the play structure with a force that made the walls shake, the plastic groaning under the strain. He pressed closer, his gaze never wavering, his expression fixed in that dark, unsettling grin.
“Scared, little star?~” he murmured, his voice smooth and dark, his words dripping with a quiet, unsettling mirth.
She tried to move, to scramble further away, but the walls of the structure seemed to close in on her, the tight, claustrophobic space making it impossible to escape. Every inch of her body was coiled with tension, her pulse a drumbeat in her ears as she felt the weight of his gaze press down on her.
The seconds stretched on, each one pulsing with a silent, mounting dread, until she was certain she could feel the very air growing heavy, closing in around her as he stared.
And then, just as she was sure he would tear through the mesh and reach her, the lights overhead flickered back on.
Moon recoiled, his body stiffening, a guttural growl escaping him as he tried to resist the change. His face twisted in frustration, one hand clutching his head as the nightcap retreated, his red eyes flickering and fading as Sun’s rays reemerged, the colors of his frame shifting back to their bright yellows and reds.
Starlight watched in stunned silence as he fought the transformation, his body jerking and convulsing as if it were being torn apart. But finally, with a shuddering breath, the familiar face of Sun reappeared, his bright eyes widening as he looked at her, his expression one of pure, unfiltered relief.
“Sunflower!” he cried, his voice thick with emotion. He reached for her, his movements awkward and shaky as he tried to maintain his balance on the outer wall, but as he stretched his hand out to steady himself against the play structure, he lost his grip and tumbled backward, landing in an ungainly heap on the padded floor 10 feet below.
Starlight’s heart twisted, fear and worry flooding her as she scrambled out of the structure, her hands trembling as she crawled down to where he lay. “Sun?” she whispered, her voice wavering as she knelt beside him, reaching out to touch his shoulder. “Are you… okay?”
He blinked up at her, his eyes hazy, the brightness in them slowly returning as he took in her face. “Yes, yes! Oh, Sunflower,” he murmured, his voice soft, filled with a quiet, aching relief. “Are… are you alright?”
She nodded, though her own heart still raced, her thoughts a whirl of confusion and fear. “I’m fine, but… Sun, what just happened?” She hesitated, glancing around the daycare as if expecting to see the haunting figure of Moon lurking in the shadows. “The lights went out early, and… he was here.”
Sun’s face fell, his expression growing pained as he looked away, his rays drooping slightly. “I’m so sorry, Sunflower,” he whispered, his voice heavy with regret. “I wish I could ,have warned you sooner. The lights… they’re on a timer, but something… must have gone wrong.”
She frowned, her worry deepening as she studied him. He looked shaken, almost fearful, a vulnerability she’d never seen before. “Are you hurt?”
He shook his head quickly, forcing a bright, reassuring smile. “No, no, I’m perfectly fine. It’s you I’m worried about,” he said, reaching out to gently squeeze her hand. “I never wanted you to see… him.”
Her heart twisted as she met his gaze, the lingering fear still settling heavily in her chest. She could feel the weight of his hand on hers, the warmth of his touch anchoring her, and despite everything, she felt a strange, quiet comfort.
“I’m okay,” she murmured, her voice soft. “I trust you, Sun. Just… let me know if something’s wrong. I can handle it.”
He hesitated, his hand lingering on hers, his gaze filled with a mix of relief and something deeper, something she couldn’t quite name. “Thank you, Sunflower,” he whispered, his voice laced with quiet gratitude. “I’ll do everything I can to keep you safe.”
But as he held her hand, a flicker of something darker passed through his gaze, a quiet intensity that made her heart skip. She squeezed his hand, hoping it was just a trick of the light.

CG!Len and Little Rui headcanons 🩷🎈
please hear me out on Len being ruis cg it’s actually my favorite thing ever.
-Rui calls Len “nii-san” and Len calls Rui “little flower”
-Rui is super ashamed of his regression, Len being the only who knows about it, and even the way he found out was accidentally…
-Rui had escaped to Sekai when he felt the need to regress and Len found him hiding behind some tent, sucking on his thumb while fighting down tears
-Len hired some plushies and with their help put up a new, soft and cozy tent for Rui whenever he needs it!! There’s so many pillows and blankies, not to mention all the stuffies that cuddle him!!
-Despite their rather big height difference, Len always finds a way to hold his sweet boy, whenever he needs it.
-Rui likes to color a lot while he’s regressed, and Len is nothing but encouraging to the adorable pictures he draws!! Sometimes, Rui will start to lean against Len when he colors, but his nii-sans warmth quickly distracts him, and suddenly he’s reaching out and whining to be held 🩷
-Len is so protective over his sweet flower, and he’s very proud to be the one who Rui comes to when he needs to be little
ok enough of that please accept cg!len I think he could take care of sweet baby rui

Bratty Girl inspired me lol. I love the idea of a naked vulnerable reader x Marilyn Thornhill story. How about teacher's assistant reader and Marilyn go on a hiking/camping trip to obtain some rare plant species in between the school terms. This is before they admit their feelings but there's lots of yearning and tension. Maybe on the first night, reader's tent is missing a part so her tent is useless and they have to share Marilyn's, which makes the tension even thicker. Eventually reader gets exposed to some type of plant that's extremely dangerous, like makes the reader groggy and if left too exposed to it, can make one go to sleep permanently, idk, just something that forces Marilyn to have to drag reader to a stream, strip her down and wash the pollen off of her. Once the adrenaline wears off, Marilyn realizes she has a naked reader in her arms and she begins to caress reader, reader moans and it snaps both of them out of it and reader gets embarrassed and shies and cover herself. Later on reader is quiet and tells Marilyn she's going to change her major because she doesn't think she's cut out for botany, making such dumb mistakes as getting exposed to those kinds of plants and Marilyn gets mad at 1st for reader for just quitting but then begs reader to reconsider and then all the tension snaps and they have sex. Lol thank you for all the awesome stories! 🫶
Yess!!!! Here it is!!! I hope you like it!!! And sorry about the language mistakes!!! Thank you for your request, it was so funny to write!!! :)))))
In the middle of the woods
Pairing: Marilyn Thornhill x Fem, assintant! Reader
Warnings: Fluff, suggestive smut (not too explicit)
Word count: 8,125
Summary: You were Marilyn’s assistant, a girl who wants to learn about botany. Marilyn thought that to go to a forest to take some plants would be a good idea…
N/A: Requests are open!!! Sorry about the delays, I’m working hard on your requests. I love you all!!!
“Okay, tell me again why we can't enjoy the holidays like the students do,” you said, closing the trunk of Marilyn's little beetle. She looked at you and smiled, probably tired of your protests.
“It's only a couple of days, (Y/N), I don't think it's that bad,” she said, moving your stuff in the small trunk. “In addition, these kinds of excursions are necessary if you want to be a botany expert.
You were thoughtful, but you couldn't do anything but agree with her.
After many years studying science at the university, you finally arrived at the moment you had been waiting for, internship, getting out of the boring classes and starting to get to know what your job would be. One of your teachers was kind enough to recommend you to a friend of hers, Larissa Weems, who was the principal of a quirky academy on a small town in Vermont outskirts. It was no coincidence that it was a school for outcasts since for as long as you can remember, you could move things as you pleased.
Nevermore was a strange place, but cozy. You would be the Marilyn Thornhill, the botany teacher’s assistant in there.
It didn't take you too long to become friends. She was kind, loving and always had a smile for everyone, and so for you. Being next to her you learned more things than your teachers had taught you and you discovered that choosing the botany specialty was not a mistake at all.
As the first months passed, a tension arose, a strange feeling that only emerged when you tow were alone. You couldn't say what it was exactly, but you also didn't believe in love at first sight, although it was hard for you to deny that Marilyn made a great first impression on you.
You tried not to think about it too much, you tried to concentrate on your work and learn all the things you still didn't know. It was very frustrating to have spent years at university and feeling that now you were really getting to know plants and their properties.
Every day you ended up exhausted, as you always tried to do your best, under Larissa's subtle promise of hiring you if your work was good enough. Marilyn was an incredible woman, but she was just a normie surrounded by teenage monsters, she couldn't do it all by herself.
Teaching at a high school was very far from your expectations as a scientist, but when you discovered how rewarding it was to share your knowledge, you began to rethink it. It was just because of that, not because of Marilyn, that's for sure.
But like everything in life, there were also small inconveniences, like that excursion that Marilyn planned for that week of vacation. According to her, students need to know all the existing flora, to know what its dangers and peculiarities are. To do this, there was no other option than to go out in search of the rarest specimens that could be found in the vicinity of Jericho, and that was your mission, to find rare plants and take them to the conservatory.
For you, camping was something exaggerated, but at the same time interesting. You always saw Marilyn as a shy and reserved woman, seeing her on an adventure like that made you very curious. Just that, curiosity, nothing else.
“Do you have everything you need?” The redhead asked. You gave her a thumbs up and nodded. “Great, let's go. Hopefully we'll get there before it gets dark.”
“Before the wolves eat us...” You whispered with a falsely scared voice. She laughed, shaking her head and getting into the car.
“There are no wolves where we are going, (Y/N),” she said, starting the engine.
You winked at her, plopping down into the passenger seat.
“Surely you don't know that two women alone in the woods is the premise of many horror movies,” you said jokingly. She was used to it, she seemed to be amused by your comments. It seemed strange to you that your nonsense always managed to make her smile. You even thought it was faker than 5 dollar coins.
But her face was sincere and her smiles were real, at least that was what your precarious intuition told you.
“Do you like horror movies?” She asked, probably wanting to bring up a topic of conversation.
While you were working at the academy there was no problem talking about anything, but this was a different situation, something more intimate, and therefore tense, tense as hell.
“Well, I like them, but I'm unable to watch them alone,” you responded, playing with the car radio, trying to find a station that didn't talk about the news. Marilyn looked at you briefly, nodding.
“Then you don't like them,” she said, amused. You looked at her mockingly.
“Of course I do,” you said defiantly. “Just because you are afraid of something doesn't mean anything.”
“If you liked them you wouldn't be afraid...” She answered in a funny tone, slurring her words.
“Just because something scares you doesn't mean you can't like it,” you reaffirmed, pretending to be outraged.
“Do you think so?” She asked, with a tone that seemed far from jokes and innocent questions. You nodded, although you had a hard time knowing if you were still talking about movies.
“Well, I think you can miss out on a lot of good things by being afraid of something,” you said quietly, as if the words had come out of your mouth on their own.
“So what are you afraid of, (Y/N)?” Marilyn asked, without taking her eyes off the road.
“To begin with, of camping in a forest far from civilization,” you said amused. She looked at you out of the corner of her eye, but she gave you a half smile. “Just kidding, I guess I’m afraid of many things... What about you?”
“What about me?”
“What are you afraid of?” You asked curiously.
“Right now? I’m afraid of college girls who mess with the radio and delete all my presets,” she said ironically. You stuck your tongue out at her.
“How funny,” you said indignant for not having managed to get more information about her, and confused because you really wanted to do it.
“If you want to listen to music, there are a lot of CDs in the compartment, take the one you like the most,” she told you, forgetting the topic, as if she was somehow uncomfortable with the conversation.
“Okaaaay,” you sighed, opening the small compartment. “Very old… Too sad… Wow, this one is from the year I was born,” You said while looking at the cds. Marilyn just shook her head and smiled at your attitude.
The trip wasn't boring, you didn't even sleep like you always did. The conversation was dull, empty, but funny, entertaining. The sun was already threatening to set and you were desperately looking for where on the map she gave you, your destination was.
“Okay, I think it's the next exit right after the gas station, or so I think...” You said doubtfully. Marilyn nodded and obeyed your orders, moving from the smooth, comfortable asphalt to a rough dirt road.
After traveling for half an hour through a scary-looking forest, you passed a sign indicating that it was an area where camping was allowed.
“Well, we've arrived,” she said triumphantly, with a long sigh of exhaustion. “Come, let's set up the tents before the sunlight goes out completely,” she said, getting out of the car.
You got out and stretched exaggeratedly, grabbing your luggage.
“Hey, this place is not bad,” you said looking around. It was a clearing in which there were hardly any trees and the tune of a nearby stream produced a calm that contrasted with your university years in the big city.
“I’ve told you so...” Marilyn said, putting her things on the ground. “Have you brought the hammer?”
“Yes...” You whispered, searching for the tool in your backpack. “Take it.”
“Thank you,” Marilyn said, accidentally brushing her hand with yours. Those chills you felt weren't because of the temperature and that made you a little nervous. You had never considered analyzing the feelings you had for Marilyn. She was something like your boss, like your teacher, at best, a friend.
But the evidence was undeniable. The desire that deep down you had to spend time alone with her, your cheeks blushing when she gave you a compliment, or simply smiled. You had to stop fooling yourself, you liked Marilyn and the sooner you recognized it, the easier it would be to control your feelings so that they grew, so that your heart would stop beating so fast in her presence.
You shook your head and left your tent on the ground. Surely setting it would be the perfect distraction to get those thoughts away.
“Okay... Let's see how is works…” You said looking at the crumpled paper with the instructions. You could barely see the letters, it was getting dark too fast. “Marilyn! Do you have a flashlight?”
The redhead, who was already done with her tent, looked at you and nodded.
“Yes, wait a minute,” she told you, running a hand down your back, causing you those shivers again.
“Hey... You finished right away...” You said, standing up and taking the small lantern that she offered to you. “This isn't the first time you've done this, huh?” You asked, amazed at her speed with the tent.
“Actually, I haven't done it in years,” she said, amused.
“Anyone would say it, I don't even know where to start...” You said somewhat embarrassed.
“Do you need me to help you?” She asked kindly. You were a proud girl, you immediately shook your head.
“No, no, I, I can...” You said stuttering. You were proud, but not a liar.
“Okay,” she responded, returning to her tent.
It didn't take long for you to fall prey to despair. You regretted not stopping at a mall and grabbing one of those new tents that you just had to throw into the air.
“Shit... Shit... They're not there...” You said nervously, searching in the tent cover for something quite basic, the small pegs that anchored it to the ground.
“What's not there?” She asked, scaring you. Surely she had been watching your pathetic attempts to set up the tent correctly for some time.
“Please tell me you brought extra pegs...” You said pleadingly, sweating due to the stress. She opened her eyes wide and picked up the small lantern that you left on the ground.
“You haven't brought them?” She asked, illuminating the area around her.
“Obviously I haven’t... Oh...” You sighed, letting yourself fall on the grass. “Brilliant.”
“Well, calm down, (Y/N), my tent is big enough for both of us,” she said matter-of-factly. You woke up impressed by that proposal. “Unless you prefer to sleep outside, of course…”
“I... It's okay...” You said defeated, kicking the mess you had made in place of your tent.
The idea was bold, disturbing, and you probably didn't think it through at the time. You were so nervous that when you realized what that meant, you started to shake. She didn't seem to care, but her expression hardened a little, as if she had spoken too quickly too.
You left your stuff in her tent, seeing if it was as spacious as she claimed. It didn't seem wide enough for you to sleep without rubbing against her body, but there was no turning back. Night had fallen heavily on the forest.
After eating some dinner, you went into the tent clearing your throat. Marilyn was in her underwear, changing her clothes, and she made no effort to cover herself when you entered. You looked away as much as you could and slowly got into your sleeping bag, just like she did.
There was a small moment of tense silence.
Just as you suspected, the tent was not big enough, you felt the heat of her body next to you, too close. It was cold, but you weren't shivering because of that, but because of something else, something that you knew you were feeling and that made you regret having accepted that excursion. A cold, electrifying current enveloped the two of you, making you unable to say anything.
The silence made you even more nervous, and that wasn't good, that just made you have to talk, say something, and it was almost never something that made sense.
“Do you know that the less clothes you carry in your bag, the hotter you are?” You said without thinking, closing your eyes in regret. You couldn't help it, the tension had always been something unbearable for you.
Marilyn turned with an arched eyebrow.
“What?” She said, laughing.
“Well, that's what they told me,” you said, dying of shame. Marilyn turned to you and smiled at your nervousness.
“Try to sleep, (Y/N), I'm sure you'll be calmer tomorrow,” she told you, rubbing your arm. You jumped in place a bit and frowned.
“I'm calm,” you said, being firm with your words.
“You are? Because I think that the tremor of your leg may cause the tent to collapse,” she said, amused, pointing to your leg, which kept moving exaggeratedly. You stopped moving it, feeling an overwhelming heat on your cheeks.
You had to get out of that predicament somehow, not let her realize that you were really nervous, that she was the reason for the uncontrollable shaking of your body.
“Well… I already told you that it's not very comfortable for me to be alone in the woods,” you lied, pretending to look around you scared.
“Here there is nothing and nobody, (Y/N), you don't have to be afraid,” she said, getting closer to you.
“That's what scares me…” You sighed, trying to imagine horrible things to make your version more credible. “A friend told me that her cousin went camping with her friends in a forest...” You said, opening your eyes wide and making a dark voice.
“(Y/N)...” Marilyn sighed.
“Wait, wait,” you said, gaining self confidence. “The first night everything went well, until the next morning they saw that there was an ax stuck in a nearby tree… Someone had been there…”
“Are you trying to scare me?” Marilyn asked, with a slightly nervous tone.
“Nope, I’m just telling you what happened,” you said, lowering your tone and creating a propitious atmosphere with your words. “The group split up to look for firewood for that night's bonfire… Everyone returned except one couple. They waited for hours, but they did not appear. They thought: They will be having fun…” You dramatized.
Marilyn listened to you attentively, settling.
“That night they drank, played teenage games... They were totally unconcerned about the disappearance of their friends… They went to sleep. The next morning everyone screamed in horror. There was no longer one, but several axes stuck in a tree, along with their friends’ heads. They screamed in fear, they tried to find help, but it was too late, the killer was after them. My friend's cousin managed to escape from an ax blow, but it was useless, there was nowhere to hide. She thought that she was already safe, that that killer stopped chasing her, but it was just an illusion since... He was... Just righ behind her!” You screamed, scaring Marilyn, who also screamed in terror.
“(Y/N)!” She protested with disgust. “For God's sake…” She said, breathing agitated. You laughed at her reaction and the satisfaction of having put those thoughts out of your head.
“Did you like the story?” You asked jokingly. Marilyn gave your arm a gentle smack and sat on her bag, running a hand over her forehead.
“Beautiful,” she said, annoyed.
“Wait, wait, I haven't told you the best yet...”
“Oh, God…” She sighed, between laughter and fear. “I don't want to know, I don't want you to tell me.”
“Well, you should want to, because that forest... Was this same one!” You shouted again, laughing out loud.
“I see that you really want to sleep outside, (Y/N),” she said, shaking her head. You shook your head and covered your mouth to stop laughing.
“Oh, come on, it was just a joke,” you said. She made a wry face and lit the lantern that was hung from the tent. “Have I really scared you?”
“Of course not, I’m just looking for something…” She said, tangling in her backpack.
“For what?”
“I think there's something you don't know, (Y/N)…” She said, taking something out of her backpack. You chuckled softer and tried to look over her shoulder.
“Oh really? What?” You asked surprised.
“That the killer…Was me!” She yelled, brandishing a small garden tool resembling an axe. You jumped and backed away.
“Oh, fuck!” You said, placing a hand on your chest, while she laughed in amusement.
“Oh, poor thing, did I scare you?” Marilyn said, pouting.
“Stop, not at all,” you said upset and trembling, trying to recover her dignity. “Well played, Marilyn…”
The night passed with hardly any complications, only with the uncomfortable tension of having her body next to yours, of noticing how she moved towards you while she slept. You couldn't just close your eyes and sleep, not right then. It was cold and that caused your body to also move towards hers involuntarily. You wondered about when you started to have feelings for that woman, but you had no answer, maybe she was just what you were always looking for and found by chance. Absurd and terrible thoughts, you would never be anything more than a friend, a companion to her.
“Okay, that's it... Slowly... Carefully...” Marilyn told you, while you pulled a plant out of the ground to place it in a glass jar. “Well done, (Y/N), we already got another one.”
The morning had been purely scientific. With laughter and absurd jokes, but with work above all else. You had gotten a lot of rare and curious species for your classes, and besides, you were learning a lot of things.
But your feet ached from so much walking, and all you thought about going back to the camp.
“Is there much left, Mari?” You asked, exaggerating your tiredness, leaning on a tree branch to walk.
“No, just a couple more sections and we can go to rest.”
“I really want to take a bath right now…” You said, sitting on a rock. Marilyn smiled as she looked at the notebook where she wrote down everything you were finding. “Hey, what if we split?”
“Split?”
“Yes, I'm going to one section and you to the other, so we cover more ground and we can finish sooner.”
“I don't know, (Y/N), it doesn't seem like a good idea,” Marilyn said, taking notes.
“Why not?” You said huffing, looking at the small map that the redhead was carrying. “Come on, it will be faster this way, and I'm sure it will be useful for me to explore on my own. Look, I'll go… This way…”
“No, not that way, (Y/N),” She said, taking the map you had taken from you.
“Come on... Give me some confidence... Please...” You said pleadingly. You really wanted to learn things, to see that you were made for the world of plants, but what you really wanted was a bath in the stream, possibly next to her, a funny dinner and returning to the tent, to sleep next to her.
Marilyn shook her head but she seemed to think about it. You put your hands together and put on your best pleading face.
“Okay…” She said, giving up. Out of excitement, you threw yourself into her arms and kissed her cheek, something that made that tense silence reign again in the forest. Marilyn didn't seem upset, but she was a little confused, smiling shyly. “But be very careful... Especially about this,” she said, shaking her head and forgetting your effusiveness. She took a photograph out of the notebook and showed it to you, it looked like a flower, similar to a dandelion.
“What is it?” You asked curiously. “Oh, okay...” You said, reading the convoluted scientific name of that plant.
“It's very dangerous, (Y/N). Listen to me, if you see it, I want you to let me know, okay? And don't touch it under any circumstances.”
“It is poisonous?”
“Terribly poisonous. If you touch the flower, the pollen will disperse throughout your body, making you suffer severe drowsiness. I guess you've heard of the tsetse fly...”
“Yes, sleep forever...” You said, cautiously observing the photograph.
“Well, this plant acts the same way. Please be very careful.”
You nodded, putting the photo in your pants and smiling again, carefree.
“Don't worry, I'll be careful,” you said, smiling and walking away from the redhead.
After a few minutes walking, and just as Marilyn had warned you, there were those strange flowers.
“Great,” you said to yourself, crossing out its name on the notebook you were carrying. “I found you.”
Marilyn had specifically told you to warn her, that this plant was very dangerous, but you didn't do it at first, instead you crouched down to see those strange flowers up close.
“Or is it a real dandelion? Let's see...” You said, observing the flowers more closely. You took out the utensils and an empty jar from your backpack, ready to do the work yourself, disobeying her advice. You needed to feel useful in some way, to feel that your knowledge was expanding enough to demonstrate to Marilyn and, especially to Larissa, that you were worthy of that vacant position, so that once you finished college, you could stay in Nevermore forever. A horrible decision.
You had not brought the scalpel close to the flowers when a strange dizziness came over you, as if you suddenly felt extreme fatigue. That made you grumble and sit up. Your intentions were good, but apparently Marilyn was telling the truth and you should stay away from those flowers.
“Marilyn! I've found them!” You shouted, being unable to cut a single one of those flowers.
“Great! Wait for me, I'll be right away, don't move!” You heard the redhead scream.
You nodded, somewhat frustrated, and bent down again to look at the plants and take some pictures. The dizziness returned, but you didn't intend to stay there, you would be quick.
A flock of birds appeared just at that moment, scaring you to death, causing you to lose your balance and inevitably fall on top of the flowers.
“Oh, shit...” You complained, placing your hands on the ground and getting up, without success. Dizziness made you stagger and fall backwards abruptly. The trees that you saw began to circle around you and a strong desire to sleep made you fight against your eyelids so that they would not close.
“(Y/N)!” Marilyn shouted. She appeared from the trees. Scared, she ran to you. “What happened?”
“The flowers...” You said with a weak voice, pointing to the responsible plants. Marilyn's eyes widened in fear and she crouched down.
“Oh my God, didn't I tell you not to come closer to them?” She told you, assessing your sleepy state.
“Eh... It wasn't my fault, I fell...” You whispered, trying to move, but without success. “Marilyn… I'm, I'm very sleepy…” You said with a sad and exhausted voice.
“(Y/N), no, don't fall asleep, hold on a bit. Oh my God, my God,” The redhead said, giving you little slaps on the cheeks to wake you up. “You have to clean off all that pollen, come on, come on.”
Marilyn grabbed you as best she could by the waist, staying as far away from you and the poison as possible. You were weak and couldn't walk, you couldn't let Marilyn carry you, you just let yourself fall to the ground.
“No, no, no, no...” She repeated nervously, now dragging you back to the camp. “Open your eyes, hold on...”
“I'm sleepy...” You managed to whisper when Marilyn left you on the the stream bank, taking off your backpack and jacket.
“Come on, honey, hold on a little longer, I'm going, I'm going to help you,” the redhead said, trying to keep your head stable, something impossible, since sleep was about to overcome you. At that time you were just a rag doll, letting Marilyn handle you at her whim, carefully taking off your clothes.
“Hold on...” She whispered, pulling down your pants and underwear. “Come on, hold on, (Y/N),” she said.
With you now completely naked, Marilyn dragged you again under your arms and put you next to her in the icy stream. Her voice also sounded weak, but she didn't seem as affected as you, as she managed to get you completely into the water.
Surely you must have felt something when you felt the cold water on your body, but it was barely a tingle, a sensation that was too weak. You were about to faint, nothing mattered to you except sleep, not even her hands rubbing your skin and washing you in the water could overcome your exhaustion.
“Come on, come on, open your eyes, please...” The redhead pleaded, dipping you into the stream and pulling you out several times. “Open them honey, please…”
Little by little the sensation of the cold water became more and more intense and finally, you managed to shake your head and open your eyes for a moment. Marilyn smiled nervously.
“Thank God...” She sighed, pulling you again to get you out of the water.
You stayed in her lap, clinging to her, unable to make a move, or be fully aware of what was happening.
“That's it, my love... That's it...”
You were exhausted, even with dizziness dominating your senses. Marilyn's heavy breathing relaxed little by little as she caressed your face and hugged you, sitting on the ground next to your naked body.
With a long sigh, things seemed to relax. Her breathing was no longer nervous, but slow, calming.
Marilyn looked down to study your features and assess the state you were in. You managed to move one arm and grab onto her clothes. It was an involuntary movement, due to the shock and fear you had gone through. You couldn't speak and you were still fighting not to fall asleep.
“That's it, honey... It's all over...” She whispered softly to you, caressing your cheeks.
Silence fell again and her eyes wandered over your naked body. Her breathing became nervous again, seemingly for no reason.
Now you could feel something, and it wasn't cold or terror, but rather you noticed her hand gently passing over your arm, over your chest, over your belly.
“Your body is beautiful, (Y/N)... You are so beautiful...” She whispered in an almost inaudible tone, caressing your body, your bare skin, enjoying the softness of your skin while you felt relief.
“Mmm…” You moaned, still dizzy. “Marilyn…” You whispered, slurring your words. She seemed to withdraw her hand, but on the contrary, she continued with her caresses, bordering on those most private areas in a disturbing way, as if she were fighting with herself not to do it, not to touch you where she shouldn't.
“I'm losing my mind,” Marilyn said to herself, intensifying her caresses, unable to stop looking at you, or rather, admiring you. “My love… You are so beautiful.”
You snuggled into her lap, never letting go of her clothes, clinging to your savior without really being aware of what was going on in her mind, the way she touched your body, the way she touched you. She looked at you... If you had seen it, you probably would have found it inappropriate, but you couldn't think straight, and her touch was almost healing, nothing else mattered.
As if you had been suddenly resurrected, you suddenly opened your eyes and moved in fear, looking around.
“What...?” You said, trying to orient yourself and remember why you were there. “What happened to me?”
“(Y/N)… You're fine, you're safe,” Marilyn told you, holding your face with her hands, smiling with joy to see you fully awake.
“Safe? Oh... My head hurts...” You said, bringing a hand to your forehead. When you did, you realized something disturbing. Your arm was bare. You frowned and slowly lowered your gaze, realizing that not only your arm was exposed, but your entire body. “Oh no… I'm… I'm naked! Shit! Shit, Shit!” You screamed, getting up awkwardly and running towards the tent, desperately looking for something to cover yourself with.
“(Y/N), calm down, relax... I, I'm sorry,” Marilyn said, going after you, apologizing desperately.
You went into the tent, looking for one of your blankets and you put it around your body, embarrassed and still with that terrible headache.
You came out already covered and looked with intrigue at the redhead, who was playing with her hands, nervous.
“Why was I naked? What the hell happened?” You asked, clinging to the blanket. Marilyn sighed, not seeming to find the words.
“I, I couldn't do anything else, honey... You fell into the flowers and... I had, I had to do it, I had to remove the pollen from your body.”
“It's true, those flowers…” You whispered, sitting down on one of the camping chairs, beginning to feel deeply ashamed of your clumsiness.
“Are you okay?” She asked, leaning towards you. You nodded grumbling.
You felt anger, frustration, shame. A lot of things and all of them not very pleasant. You wanted to be the best at your job, but that horrible experience made you doubt many things, including yourself.
“I think so...” You said in an almost inaudible tone.
“You have to put on some clothes... Don't get cold... I... I'll prepare something warm for you in the meantime.”
You looked at her briefly, realizing that her clothes were wet as well. A little memory made you know why. You remembered the stream, the cold water, and also being about to fall asleep, forever. You nodded without speaking and returned to the tent.
When you came out, Marilyn was cooking on the camping gas. You didn't want to be detected, so you walked slowly, sitting back down in the chair with your head down and a lot of thoughts that you started to think about while you were getting dressed.
It was assumed that she knew more about plants than you, that if she told you something it was for your own good, but you didn't listen, you risked your life for ambition and pride, just to try to spend the rest of your life with her.
You always loved plants, everything they could do, their varieties, their colors... But a hobby was often far from a vocation. That little incident made you realize. You'd have to spend decades in college to not make the same mistakes, that's what you thought at the time.
Marilyn noticed your presence and she looked at you briefly, moving a spoon in the bowl over the fire. Her look was not the usual one, she seemed embarrassed about something, she seemed to feel guilty. That made you even clearer about what your next step would be, much to your regret.
“Here, honey, it's soup,” she said affectionately, handing you a hot plate. The warmth of that plate made you smile and you brought it to your nose, enjoying its aroma.
“Thank you, Marilyn...” You whispered, tasting a little and closing your eyes, feeling the heat run down your body, warming your cold bones. She nodded, looking away from you and went into the tent, probably to change her clothes, she had gotten wet too.
You looked at the sky, which was already full of stars. You were looking for an answer, but you didn't know the question. It was clear that you were not suitable for botany, at least that's what you thought, but walking away, retiring from your work meant walking away from many things, walking away from Marilyn.
It was a difficult decision, but the night stars didn't seem to want to help you. You drank the soup in complete silence, trying to clear your thoughts.
You finished the plate and left it on the table, approaching the small lantern that was on top, watching how the insects danced excitedly with the light. The noise of a zipper diverted your attention. Marilyn left the tent, her embarrassed expression unchanged, nor wanting to say a single word.
She sat next to you and started looking at the stars too. You had already made a decision, but you couldn't find the words, or the moment to tell her. It was a painful, cowardly decision, but it was what your low self-esteem believed was right.
“Marilyn...” You said quietly, drawing the redhead's attention. She looked at you and nodded for you to continue. “I think, I think I'd better quit…”
She frowned at you, shaking her head.
“Quit?”
“Yeah, you know, work. I just learned the hard way that I'm not good at this...”
Marilyn laughed nervously and began to breathe quickly.
“What? You're not serious...” She said, denying what you had just said. “You're just tired, I'm sure you'll see things differently tomorrow.”
“I'm being serious, Marilyn. I almost died because I was so clumsy as to fall into the flowers, disobeying your warning. This time you were there to help me, but when I graduate there will be no one to help me. No, it's not my thing, botany is not my thing. Tomorrow I'll call Larissa and…”
Marilyn looked at you with surprised and sad eyes and she rose from her chair, leaning towards you and putting her hands on your shoulders.
“Don't talk nonsense, (Y/N), it was just an accident,” she said with a nervous smile. “Everyone, we have all made mistakes, you shouldn't give up because of that.”
“It wasn't a mistake, it was an oversight, I crouched down even though I knew I shouldn't have done it and that damn pollen almost killed me. No, I don't want to cause any more problems, it's best if I go and...”
Marilyn moved uneasily from one side to the other, looking for what to say to you, making helpless gestures, as if she were rehearsing her response in her head.
“And that's it? Do you just give up?” She said upset, with a tone that emanated a certain anger.
You sighed and nodded, looking away from her.
“It's the best...” You said, looking at the stars again.
“The best? The best for whom?” She asked ironically, crossing her arms. “I know it was hard, but you're fine now, it was just an accident.”
“Today was an accident, but tomorrow something else may happen to me and not even you can save me. I'm sorry, Marilyn, but it's my decision,” you said, also getting up from the chair.
“It's your decision...” She repeated, moving nervously, laughing in a disturbing way. “You are being a coward.”
You laughed at that accusation and shook your head.
“Well, you can call me a coward if you want, but I'm not going to put more people's lives in danger because of my clumsiness.”
“You are...” the redhead said between her teeth. “Oh, okay, you know what? Do whatever you want. If you want to leave, then great,” she said, going into her tent.
“Are you taking me to Jericho tomorrow?” You asked indignantly, not understanding the redhead's anger, further straining the rope of her patience.
There was no answer.
The camp fell silent again. You clenched your fists tightly. You didn't understand the reason for that anger, if only she knew how hard it was for you to make that decision, how bad it would be for you to walk away from her... But, obviously she wasn't able to read your mind, to know what you were thinking or feeling.
A yawn, and the lack of tea in your glass, told you that it was time to sleep. You thought that since you hadn't heard from Marilyn in a while, she had probably already fallen asleep.
With as much subtlety as you could, you slipped into the tent. Marilyn was tucked into her bag, facing the side of the store. She showed no signs of being awake, but you also didn't hear the funny sounds she made while asleep.
You carefully climbed into your bag and turned your back on her, crossing your arms. Maybe it was a decision you made abruptly, but you already knew you were proud, nothing at that moment could change your mind, or so you thought.
“(Y/N)…” Marilyn whispered, in what sounded like a sob. You turned with a serious, annoyed look. “I, I'm sorry.”
“It's okay,” you said, turning around again.
“I shouldn't have talked to you that way.”
“Hey, what do you care if I go? Anyone who knows how to breathe and walk at the same time is going to be a better assistant than me,” you said, involuntarily resuming that absurd discussion.
“What I care? You don't know anything, (Y/N),” she said, turning on the tent’s lantern and sitting down. You did the same, not removing the frown you had.
“Maybe,” you said, sighing ironically. “You've already seen how clumsy I am. Would you mind enlightening me?”
Marilyn snorted at your irony but she stared at the floor of the store, clutching her knees to her chest.
“You don't know what it's like to be the only normi in Nevermore, (Y/N). At school everyone ignores me, they take me for an idiot. There are teachers who don't even know my name. But when I thought there was no hope for me, you came and turned my world upside down...” She said, in something similar to a confession. –“With your nonsense, your bad jokes, your smiles... You made my days easier, so that I didn't have to pretend to smile... And now you go and tell me that you're leaving, that you're giving up... You have no idea about what do you mean to me...”
Thinking about those words warmed you up, made you realize that what she said was true, you rarely saw her talk to another person. Deep in your heart, that was the closest thing to a love confession, but you knew that couldn't be true. There was no reason to express your feelings at that moment, at least not ones that didn't involve saying I love you.
“Do you think I like the idea of separating from you? Damn, Marilyn, you are the most wonderful woman I’ve ever known,” you said angrily, hitting the tent floor with your fists. “Just, I'm just trying to realize my place in the world.”
“You seem to like this idea, (Y/N). I don't need pity, or for you to tell me what I want to hear,” she said, shaking her head. “I've had enough of Weems' complacent looks.”
“Damn it, I'm telling the truth!” You screamed, squirming on the spot, tears beginning to form in your eyes. “Is it so difficult for you to believe that there is someone who... Well, who appreciates you... Who, who loves you?”
You had already said it. In a subtle way, but you had said it. You were angry, angry at his apparent lack of understanding. Your cheeks turned red and it made you want to run through the forest.
Marilyn looked at you, but she didn't say anything, she just rubbed her eyes. It didn't seem possible, but she was crying.
“Please, (Y/N)... Just, just reconsider...” She said, now with a pleading tone. “Don’t, don't go, please.”
“Why?” You asked, relaxing, feeling that something you couldn't identify made you approach her.
“Yesterday you asked me if there was something that scared me, that was scary to me...” She said, without being able to look you in the eyes. “Well yes, (Y/N), there is something. I'm afraid of losing you.”
“But, but why?” You asked, grabbing her shoulder to force her to look at you.
She now looked at you. She seemed to be having a terrible time, she seemed to want to say something that she couldn't, or that she shouldn't. With a sigh, Marilyn brought her hands to your cheeks, caressing them gently. You closed your eyes. That wasn't a simple gesture of affection, not at that moment. It was something else, and knowing it made you shiver, made you lean towards her.
“I don't want you to leave... Stay with me, please...” She said, resting her forehead against yours. You shook your head, running her hands over her shoulders, across her chest. You both quickened your breathing and stared at each other.
“I... I don't want to get away from you...” You said against her lips. “I can't…”
“(Y/N), I…” She whispered, closing her eyes just like you and placing her lips against yours in a tense, soft, pure and innocent kiss, but a very significant one. “I love you…”
Those three words came out of her mouth, and that kiss confirmed to you that they were not false, they were authentic. What seemed impossible to you was happening. She had feelings for you, you had feelings for her. That horrible tension of the last few months disappeared with another kiss, a deeper one, full of mixed feelings, of silent confessions, of love, a love that came out of desperation, but that Marilyn thought you would leave forever, that you didn't love her, that you didn't care.
“Me too...” You whispered between kisses. “I, I don't want to leave you... Shit, I'm stupid...” You said shaking your head.
“You're not...” She said, gently pushing you against the floor while her kisses said everything that words couldn't.
You let yourself go. It was what you had been thinking for so long, even without being aware of it, still fighting against those feelings.
Her body felt too good against yours, warm, comfortable. A place you didn't want to leave, a heat you couldn't survive without.
Marilyn climbed on top of you, continuing to caress you, worshiping your entire body. At that moment the words were absurd, only the facts, the caresses, the gasps, were capable of transmitting everything that you kept silent for so long, and everything that she seemed to want to repress. An uncontrollable desire, a love that appeared by chance.
The cold of the night no longer mattered. Your clothes were disappearing at the same time as hers. You both looked at each other, as if discovering a treasure, caressing your bare skin as if it were fragile, something that could break. And there was still no room for doubt, to think about what your place in the world would be. At that moment that place was under her, it was being covered by her kisses, agitated by the soft movement of her hips.
“You're so beautiful...” She whispered to you, running a hand over your chest. Now you were aware, you could enjoy that sensation and you could do the same, recording in your mind every new corner of her body, looking at her legs, her chest, her back.
The heat was unbearable, but she had the remedy. Kisses on your neck, on your chest, on your belly. Kisses that didn't seem to want to stop, kisses that didn't seem to feel guilty because you were young, because you were an awkward college student.
Your body was something sacred, a divinity of which Marilyn was the only one faithful, the only one who could taste it, kiss it, lick it, suck it.
Your moans only made the steam escape from your mouth, making you see that the heat was an illusion, that your moans were hot and the night was cold.
“Marilyn...” You moaned, stroking her hair as she settled between your legs, enjoying you, making you enjoy her.
She climbed up to your mouth and the hungry, anxious kisses returned. Her hands went up and down, leaving not a piece of skin to touch, to scratch, to possess. Her fingers were skillful, making you able to see the stars without leaving the tent, making you think about how beautiful it was to live, to feel love, a real one, not a passing one, one that was really love, not nights in clubs kissing girls, strangers, letting you be taken by them in a disgusting bathroom. This was love, not sex, just love, just caresses, just you and Marilyn.
Your body trembled, shook to the rhythm of your moans, her moans. Her eyes were fixed on yours, carefully observing each of your expressions. You fought to keep them open, to see how the woman you loved made love to you in that small space, how nothing mattered, how any place was good to love if it was with her.
You screamed, forgetting your absurd theories about the dangers of the forest, wanting to let everyone who passed by know that you were happy, that your orgasm wasn't just that, it was a cry of love, one that had been wanting to come out of your dreams for a long time.
The kisses returned, the hugs made you walk around the tent. Your bodies were sweating, your hips were dancing together an erotic dance, whose music was moans and gasps.
Now she was your goddess, you had her under you, you kissed her body, you smiled when you saw that she was not a shy woman, that she was fiery, passionate. You ran your fingers over the small tattoo she had, trying to make her feel loved, like you had felt before.
It was unbearable for her, she shook and begged you to kiss her, for your hands to go beyond your soft caresses. You were never a naughty girl, you were obedient, complacent, and when your hand slipped between her legs, she felt comfortable.
Feeling its heat around your mouth was a sensation that surpassed that damn pole. Her moans were high-pitched, her hands mischievous, grabbing your hair, going crazy when your lips landed on that spot.
You didn't want to let her legs go, you wanted to sink into her, make her see that you loved her, that you wanted to adore her in the same way that she did with you.
Marilyn was restless, anxious but patient, letting you move slowly inside her, making her feel every inch of skin that your fingers ran over. Your eyes looked at her, and hers returned yours, while your free hand intertwined her fingers with hers.
It was a matter of time before her body moved quickly, erratically. Your caresses and moans were too much for her. Her walls squeezed your fingers, preventing them from leaving her, preventing you from stopping loving her. Marilyn arched her back, screaming almost as loud as you. Her hand returned to your hair, tugging it violently, involuntarily.
You smiled and returned to her lips, letting her nails scratch your back as your legs intertwined.
“(Y/N)...” She said, looking at you dazed, smiling, as if she herself had fallen into those flowers and felt light, extremely relaxed.
“Mari...” You said, lying on her chest while her arms wrapped around your back. There were no longer scratches or hair pulling, just a tender hug, two sweaty bodies hugging each other in that tent, with the only sound of the stream in the background.
“I... Tomorrow we will return to Jericho. It, it hurts, but I want you to do what makes you happy, (Y/N).”
You looked at her, biting your lip. It was true that those flowers had given you a bad experience, but you couldn't just give up, not at that moment, you could never do it again.
“No, Marilyn... I... I want to stay here,” you said, resting your head on her chest, closing your eyes for having been so stupid and not having thought things through calmly.
“Is what you want? Don't do it just for me...” She whispered softly, brushing your hair away from your face. “I just wanted you to know how much I love you. I didn't want you to just leave. But it is your decision. I promise not to interfere.”
“Interfere, damn it,” you said sharply, raising your head. She sat up a little and looked at you strangely. “Ask me to stay, please…”
She smiled, caressing your cheek. She wasn't stupid, she knew that you needed her to tell you again, to remind you why it was worth making an effort, giving plants a second chance.
“Stay, please...” She said softly, kissing you tenderly on your lips. “I can't imagine living without you.”
“I'll stay, Marilyn. I will always stay with you,” you said with a smile, snuggling into her chest again.

If you’re dreaming of tying the knot under the open sky, here’s a guide to help you plan an unforgettable celebration with stunning décor.
Choose the Perfect Venue
The first step to planning an outdoor wedding is selecting the right venue. Whether it’s a beach, garden, vineyard, or a historic property, the location sets the tone for your big day. Consulting the Best Wedding Planners in Hyderabad can make the selection process seamless, as they have insider knowledge of the city’s top venues.
Set a Theme
Having a theme can tie all the elements of your wedding together. It could be rustic, bohemian, vintage, or modern. Once you decide on a theme, use it as a guide for choosing colors, fabrics, and decorations. Themes add a personal touch to your wedding and make it more cohesive and visually appealing.
Create a Comfortable Environment
Outdoor weddings come with their own set of challenges, such as weather unpredictability. Prepare for different scenarios by renting tents, installing fans or heaters, and providing shaded seating areas. Don’t forget essentials like sunscreen, bug spray, and cozy blankets for guests if it gets chilly.
Focus on Stunning Décor
The décor is the heart of any wedding celebration, and an outdoor venue gives you the opportunity to incorporate nature into your design. Collaborate with the Best Flower Decorators in Hyderabad to create arrangements that enhance the beauty of your surroundings. Consider floral arches, centerpieces, and hanging installations that blend seamlessly with the venue.

Fairy Lights and Lanterns: Outdoor settings come alive with string lights, lanterns, and candles, creating a romantic ambiance after sunset.
Themed Centerpieces: Use elements like vintage vases, driftwood, or mason jars filled with flowers to reflect your chosen theme.
Customized Backdrops: Photo backdrops decorated with flowers, greenery, or unique props make for perfect photo opportunities.

Plan the Menu Thoughtfully
Outdoor weddings pair well with seasonal and fresh menu options. Work with your caterer to create dishes that complement the weather and theme of your wedding. Don’t forget to include refreshing drinks and a dessert station with a variety of treats.
Add Personal Touches
Personalize your wedding by including elements that reflect your story as a couple. From customized signage to handwritten thank-you notes, small details make a big impact. A memory wall with photos or a guest book area can also add sentimental value to the celebration.
Capture the Moments
Ensure you hire a professional photographer and videographer who are experienced with outdoor settings. They will know how to use natural light to create stunning images that capture the essence of your day.

Turdas, 19th of Last Seed, 4E 201
I have made a grave tactical error. The leather tent kept me dry, but it did next to nothing for the cold. That wouldn't be a problem, except I didn't grab firewood or an axe good for chopping wood when I was in town. Luckily, I have soup - eating as I write - but I'm going to freeze to death if I don't get out of the weather. There’s a bend in the road not far from the tower. I’ll take a peek and if I see the Barrow, I’ll head there. If not, I go back to Riverwood and gear up properly.
-------
It would be nice if I could go a few days without horrible monsters trying to kill me or ancient mysteries coming to light.
That’s not too much to ask, is it?
Right now I’ve set up my bedroll by a large gate somewhere hopefully at in the bottom of Bleak Falls Barrow. It’s a bit early for sleep, but this feels like as safe a place as any to pass the night, and it gives me time to write and relax. Besides, there’s a lit brazier here, and it’s actually sort of cozy. In it’s own way.
First off, I’ve found the golden dragon’s claw, but it’s really more like a foot. I mean, it has toes and everything. There are claws on the foot, but it’s clearly not just a claw. Nothing like I expected, but it doesn’t matter. Lucan can call it whatever he likes once I get paid.
Well, like I said before, I decided to take a look around the bend in the road, and the Barrow was right there! There were three bandits outside, but they gave me some trouble because I was just too cold to do much.
Is it too morbid of me to say that I briefly considered burning the bodies to warm myself up? Does that make me mad? Or is that just how a person’s mind goes when they’re desperate?
I wanted to explore more out there, but as I said, I was freezing. I could barely open the door, I was shaking so hard.
Inside, I first saw a bunch of dead skeevers surrounding two dead bandits, and then I noticed a campfire! There were live two bandits at the fire, a man and a woman. They were arguing about an elf who I assumed hired them. He’d gone ahead of them and she was worried that she wouldn’t get her share of the pay.
I want to say that I normally fight fair, but let’s face it: I don’t. I’ll cheat and use every advantage I have. I was still shivering, so I poisoned my bow and hoped for the best. I managed to kill them, but not before they got a few good hits in.
I warmed up, then looted everything I could find and stored what I didn’t want to carry in a chest that probably used to belong to the bandits. I’ll come back for the goods later.
There was a stairway going down into the Barrow, so down I went. Yes, I looted urns, but it’s not like they’re using it. There were a lot of skeevers, embalming tools and scraps of linen for wrapping bodies, too. I don’t know why that surprised me. It is a barrow, after all.
What did surprise me was the poison dart trap. I was creeping down the stairs towards an open chamber when I saw a bandit in the room ahead. He pulled a lever on the floor in front of a portcullis that blocked the way ahead. I heard the darts go off, and he died almost instantly.
I mean, it makes sense that the high-status people would be buried deeper underground with lots of treasure, so I shouldn’t be surprised at the traps, but still… They’re still active after who knows how many centuries?!
Are all ancient Nord barrows are like this?
In the room with the portcullis, there were two massive stone faces on the wall, with another one fallen onto the floor. Each one had an animal symbol in its mouth. There were three spinning columns to my left, each side decorated with a different animal.
It was clearly a lock, and those heads had the key in their mouths.
Here’s one of the heads, and the symbols from the columns:
How witless was that guy? A child could have figured that out. And why have such a horrible trap when the solution is so obvious? A well-made lock and a solid door would do a better job, I think.
I spun the columns to match the animals in the mouths of the stone faces - Snake, Snake, Whale – and pulled the lever.
I admit I was still ready to jump out of the way of any poison darts. The gate opened, and I went through. There was another lever that closed the portcullis behind me. I found a handy book titled “Thief” in the next room, along with a few other things.
Other than a few skeevers, it was pretty quiet until I got to an area covered in cobwebs. As I was burning my way through them, I heard a man yelling for help. I stepped into a large chamber (cave?) that was covered in cobwebs, like that place under Helgen, and the biggest spider I’ve ever seen in my life dropped down from the ceiling.
That thing was easily bigger than a draft horse, and I ran back the way I’d came. The room had two archways leading into it, both smaller than the spider. There was no way it could fit through to get me, and one of the archways was conveniently covered in a lattice of thick roots that I could throw fire through!
It took a while, and I did get poisoned a bit, but I eventually wore it down to where I could finish it off with my axe. I glimpsed the yelling man once or twice. He was at the far end of the chamber, trapped in webs and screaming himself hoarse. It was distracting, to say the least.
The man, a Dunmer, said his name was Arvel the Swift, and that he knew the secret of the claw and how it “worked”. He said he’d show me if I cut him down. I was tempted to kill him and then just take the claw, but I cut him down.
I would say that I should have killed him, but it didn’t make much difference in the end. Like I thought, he jeered at me and bolted deeper into the Barrow as soon as he was free. I followed him, and upon rounding a corner I heard a creaking, crashing sound, then a familiar scream.
Silence did not follow. There were shuffling footsteps and this barking, cough (?) like air in an old bellows. I peeked around the corner, and saw a dead warrior with glowing blue eyes walking around Arvel’s body, carrying a drawn sword. The room it was in had open niches cut into the walls, and most of them held bodies. Some were just bones, and some were wrapped. Most were bare, but there were a few with armor and weapons.
The undead warrior hadn’t noticed me, so I shot it.
Now, I’ve heard of the dead rising, but I’ve never seen it before. I used to believe, like everyone I’ve ever talked to about it, that the dead can only rise while under the control of another person. They’re zombies, and they can’t think or make decisions. They just do as they’re told, like evil puppets.
As soon as my bow made a sound, the armored dead woke up and got out of their little alcoves like they were getting out of bed.
By the Eight, I actually felt my blood run cold. I always thought that was just an expression.
I managed to kill them, I think. Will they get back up later on? Were they truly dead to begin with? They were pretty rotten, so I’m sure they were people who died, but how are they still guarding their tombs? It was only those with weapons, so maybe that’s just… How they were? Are their souls just sleeping and waiting to be called to fight? Is it just their Will left behind in their bones? Am I going to find some powerful Necromancer on the other side of this door tomorrow?
I shouldn’t be thinking about that so soon before bed. I’ll give myself nightmares!
So – Arvel. Once I “killed” the zombies, I went over to his body. He was in a heap near a large, spiked gate, not far from a VERY suspicious-looking carved stone in the floor. Clearly another trap.
He was fast, but not too swift.
He had the claw, and a journal. His journal said that the claw wasn’t just a decoration, like Lucan had thought. It was a key, and that I needed to find the “Hall of Stories” to use it. I looked over the “claw” and saw a bear, a moth, and an owl on the bottom of the foot.
Here’s the “Golden Dragon Claw” and the markings on the bottom.
See what I mean? It’s not a Claw, it’s a Foot. Yes, Golden Dragon Claw sounds very mystical and exciting, like that “Hall of Stories” in Arvel’s journal, but it’s still a foot.
These markings look like the ones on the spinning column locks from before. There’s probably another set of those and more poison darts up ahead. At least whoever made the lock for this key had the good sense to not put the key in carvings almost as tall as I am.
Now, I could have turned around right then and there, gone back down the mountain, and returned the foot to Lucan and gotten my reward, but Arvel’s journal made me curious.
Well, that and the idea of more loot. Hopefully I’ll find some behind whatever door this foot unlocks.
Which brings me to here. Not much to tell other than fighting more zombies. Some of them did use magic, though. I had no idea anything undead that wasn’t a vampire or a lich could use magic! Is there something in the water here in Skyrim?!
I also found a trap between rooms that was less of a trap and more… A barrier? There was a short hallway that had three blades on pendulums in it, swinging at even intervals. They weren’t triggered by anything that I could see. I heard them moving before I got to them, and they weren’t going that fast. It was kind of easy to step through and avoid them.
Is it really a trap? It wasn’t hard to get through, so maybe it’s just there to scare people off?
There was a pull chain beside the door once I got through, and it stopped the blades.
If the undead down here can fight and use magic. I’m sure they can use a door or a chain like this. It won’t stop them. This is to keep out people like me.
What’s down here? What am I going to find tomorrow?

Precise Study On The Venue Hire For Event
Hosting a wonderful event begins with selecting the most appropriate venue hire, and sports club venues are an increasingly popular choice for those seeking a unique setting. Sports clubs provide a versatile space that could easily be transformed into a stunning event venue. Whether you're planning a wedding, a birthday party, or even a corporate event, sports clubs offer an expansive environment that gives flexibility in layout and design. With the right touches, a sports club venue hire may be transformed into a fashionable and welcoming space for just about any occasion. The adaptability of these venues permits creative customization, making them a standout choice for event planning. Among the main advantages of employing a sports club for an event could be the spaciousness. A sports ground hire offers plenty of room for both indoor and outdoor activities, making it ideal for large-scale events. The wide-open areas allow for easy set-up of tents, stages, or outdoor seating, giving your event a vibrant, open feel. For a wedding or large gathering, a sports ground hire can accommodate a huge selection of guests, ensuring everybody has enough space to take pleasure from the event.
The expansive layout also offers plenty of opportunities for unique photo ops and memorable moments through the entire day. In addition to the large space, many sports clubs have excellent facilities that will make hosting your event easier. The versatility of a sports club helps it be an incredible choice for people who want to mix practicality with a great event experience. While sports clubs in many cases are thought of as casual or athletic spaces, they may be easily transformed into elegant wedding venues. By incorporating a few key design elements, such as for example elegant lighting, floral arrangements, and chic furniture, you can produce an upscale atmosphere ideal for a marriage celebration. If you are hosting a conventional ceremony or even a more enjoyable gathering, a sports club offers the flexibility to accommodate any theme or style.
The wonder of a wedding venue in a sports club is that it gives you more creative freedom to create the area as you see fit, without limitations. If you're looking for a laid-back vibe, pubs are another great choice for an event venue. Unexpected Guest
There wasn’t supposed to be anyone at the house. It’s a bank-owned property and you’d been hired to help stage the interior for perspective buyers. Truthfully, it isn’t the sort of gig you usually go for. The neighborhood wasn’t particularly family friendly in terms of schools and the area didn’t have a hip enough downtown to attract younger couples. Also, the place kinda gives you the creeps, but they offered double your normal fee in addition to a modest commission if it sold. Most of the furniture and decorative pieces were delivered yesterday, and at this point it’s simply a matter of arranging things. You were going for cozy and inviting, but the space seems hostile to the idea. You’re in the kitchen, placing a bowl of artificial lemons on the table in the breakfast nook, when you hear a loud thump from somewhere upstairs. “Hello? Is someone here?” Your inquiry receives no reply as you slowly make your way to the wide staircase located off the foyer. “The open house doesn’t start until tomorrow.” There’s another thump followed by a third and they seem to be getting closer. You take a few tentative steps forward and peer over at the top of the curved wooden railing where it connects to the second floor. “If you don’t leave right now, I’m going to be forced to call the police.” A shadow looms into view and the outlined shape is far too large to be anything human. The front door is deadbolted. It’s always the first thing you do when you arrive. You fumble with your keys, desperately searching for the right one, as the sound of its approach grows closer, and closer, and closer, and....
