in this age of smartphones and internet everywhere, we still get people walking into the shop asking for directions to a certain road or town, or calling us and asking, 'I'm at [intersection], how do I get to you guys?'

which I think is really cool actually. I've learned where a bunch of places are and gotten better at giving directions.

#gave two guys the local/state map from my car some years back bc they came up to me at a gas station just HOPELESSLY LOST #couldn't even pronounce the name of the city they were heading towards correctly. so I was like. aw.#'the easy answer is pick a big road that goes north and just keep going. but here. we're here and you want to go here. take the map.'#my mum got me a new map recently (I kept forgetting) and she wrote on it 'do not give away.' I'm probably gonna.#lmao and the time I pulled into the driveway and some lady beeped at me from the road in tears bc she couldn't get out of the maze #that my brother lives in. she just wanted to get back to the city. PLEASE. and the way to the main road is - again - kind of a maze.#she was too panicked to remember all the turns I listed. so.#I got back in my car and led her to the main road and she beeped a bunch and yelled happily out her window before continuing on. 🥺#all that said I do get myself lost all the dang time BUT I am pretty good at getting myself back on track too. B)
