WHY TF do they celebrate Christmas at Hogwarts??? They're magic. they don't have religions. I don't think it's stated explicitly that they do at least...and like duh, they're magic they don't really need it. So why are they celebrating a religious holiday? I get having a winter break but that's separate, and I get that the Muggle students might be religious, but majority are not muggleborn so why is it so widespread? They decorate the whole castle. The Weasleys have whole traditions. But no other mention of religion. MY best guess is that the holiday became so popular in the muggle world that it just spread over, especially as more muggleborns went to Hogwarts. Like the holiday kinda diffused into their culture? Like Saint Patrick's day being more celebrated in America than Ireland kinda thing? But wouldn't the Purebloods look down on it and refuse to celebrate that? But I'm pretty sure they celebrate it too idk. Tbh I think the real answer is that JKR just didn't really think that far into it and thought it would be fun to put in there or didn't think about not including it. Her writing can be...interesting at times. Not even going to get into her personality lmao. Also why aren't other holidays celebrated? Obviously Christmas is the most widespread but i'm sure at least a few muggleborn students must've practiced other religions. Like I think even JKR confirmed there was one (🙄🙄🙄) Jewish student? Where are the Menorahs? The Pavarti twins could've been Hindu, or Muslim, but no mention of that. Again JKR is just fucking racist and small-minded sometimes but I still need answers!!

I don't think he's compassionate, but self-centered. I tried explained why I did what I did, and he kept putting it back to his point of view. Like ok, good for you, you had better friends than I did? Also, he could have also suggested an hour, just as much as I could've, but he never even slightly understood this and think it's entirely my fault. Nah dude.

verdict: Red flags all over

1. Intended to invite me over at the end of first date. Suggested his place for 2nd date. He doesn't seem to be even aware how this sounds insensitive to a women's safety? Also, I'm not looking to hookup.

2. I have to set the specific time. He only suggests a vague time.

3. No return from him first on both dates. He clearly could've texted me before the afternoon.
