Ok but y’all this is literally my job.

I don’t sit at a lifeguard chair and throw shit, but at my work we have one normal register (that no one sits at regularly) and SIX self checkouts, and periodically (coughallthetime) I have to go up to the front and wave my little helper card to get the machine to complete transactions because they’re all as dumb as a sack of rocks.

concept: all normal checkouts are replaced with self-checkouts but instead of losing their jobs the cashiers now get to sit on top of lifeguard chairs and periodically throw wine glasses at me like dracula while i buy my goods
