Sorry to pinch tags but I really gotta highlight this - I don't have chronic pain (in fact I fear chronic pain since I got enough disabling shit without that going on, I have been fortunate but I know I have to be gentle with myself or I'll tempt something else) chronic pain is some next level bullshit to deal with. Not only is every waking moment just excessively draining from just having to deal with a constant background of noise of pain, I know those who do have chronic pain are often belittled and treated as no better than opioid addicts. If you're not being denied treatment on the bias of some doctor who can't quite grasp the level of pain you are in (especially if you're AFAB - the current timeline in my country at least, is 10 YEARS before a case of Endometriosis is treated which is just deplorable. Yes they spend that entire 10 years looking for a solution, it takes 10 years to GET to that solution) or even worse, normalises it (endo + PCOS people get this a LOT), to have to deal with the absolute shambles state of the US Health system?

Yeah I do not blame the guy. He's a peoples' hero honestly.

on a more serious note, I think it's important to consider the uhc ceo shooter's twitter seems to indicate he suffered from severe chronic pain and this is likely a big contributor to his actions
