i think most people can generally agree that some sort of questline or raid or dungeon or what have you involving gelmorra the precursor city state to gridania would in fact. be rad as hell. but i have been sitting and thinkin on 'what exactly i would like to see from a gelmorra' thing beyond just a story tackling the duskwight thing and *vaguely waves hand*
and i think i've pared it down to a few elements.
it should take place in the ruins of gelmorra in some capacity. i wanna see what this underground and decaying lost city looks like with all the vague cosmic horrors that are often implied about the place.
gelmorra should in fact, be haunted AF. gridania as a whole is pretty haunted in general with all manner of ghostly apparitions spirits and what have you. the haunted mansion dungeon you tackle for the mq is stationed in gridania, and a lot of its later dungeons are haunted with all manner of voidsent. and well gelmorra shouldn't be the cause of all of that activity, i do think it would be striking to have gelmorra be heavily concentrated with those kinds of apparitions and otherworldly madness.
i would like one of the plots main focuses to be on who specifically ended up trying to stick around in gelmorra and became the ancestors to the modern duskwight. namely, it was elezen nobility that were the ones trying to keep the whole enterprise going, and it was from that nobility that the modern duskwights emerged when it proved untenable to maintain gelmorra after everyone else left. and thats fascinating when contrasted against their modern reputation as deceitful thieves living at societies outskirts and generally distrusted across all of eorzea. so in a hypothetical story about gelmorra and duskwights, a good way of interrogating that history and modern relation would be in a group of antagonistic duskwights seeking to reclaim that past glory, a way to complicate the affair with poor disenfranchised duskwights looking to rebuild a fantastical utopic vision of a past grandeur to improve their lives being exploited by duskwights seeking to achieve their own supremacy and noble privileges once more. hell the resolution could even be centered on leverging a wedge between the noble idealism and cynical exploitation parts of the antagonists leading to allying with half of the duskwights to stop the mad ambitions of the other half.
the plot should involve an astos expy in some form. for those not in the know, astos is a dark elf king who appears in multiple final fantasies but primarily the older ones. now, given astos is a dark elf and the duskwight are ffxiv's expy for dark elves in final fantasy context [see also, astos being blue and blue being a primary skin colour option for duskwight], i think it would make sense for any story focused on the duskwight in some form to involve astos in some form. the last king of gelmorra perhaps whos own past machinations are effecting the present day, or maybe even just that the duskwight antagonist group is led by astos whos leveraging his followers good will and idealism to serve his own ambitions of tyranny.

Empirical SCOTUS: If Ginsburg were to leave the court, her departure might resemble Thurgood Marshall’s
Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg’s health is in the news again this year. She announced last month that she was being treated with chemotherapy — the fourth time since 1999 that she has battled cancer. After she was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer in 2009, she resisted pressure to retire from the Supreme Court under the Obama administration. With multiple hospital stays this year and the cancer recurrence, many question how long she will be able to stay on the court and whether her tenure will outlast Donald Trump’s presidency. Some liberals continue to express frustration that Ginsburg did not retire under President Barack Obama.
Retirements and replacements at the court occur in different patterns. A potential retirement by Ginsburg harkens back to Justice Thurgood Marshall’s retirement in 1991. Like Ginsburg, Marshall was a liberal leader on the court. Before joining the bench, Ginsburg founded the ACLU Women’s Rights Project, and Marshall established the NAACP Legal Defense and Education Fund. Marshall’s health was in decline during the Reagan years, and once President George H.W. Bush was elected in 1988, he might have guessed he would need to step down before the end of the Bush presidency. Still, Marshall was known to somewhat sarcastically confide to his clerks, “If I die, prop me up and keep on voting,” not wanting a conservative justice to be placed in his stead. In the end, Marshall retired from the court with Bush still president in October 1991, citing health and age. He was replaced by Justice Clarence Thomas, who has become one of the most conservative justices. The replacement of Marshall with Thomas was one of the biggest ideological shifts in a single seat.
An often-used metric to assess ideology on the court is Martin-Quinn scoring. Although MQ scores do not directly measure whether a justice is liberal or conservative, they do measure justices’ voting agreements with each other by placing all justices on the same scale and bridging these agreement scores across time. The statistical modeler then needs to define a liberal-conservative dimension by deciding on a prototypic liberal and conservative justice to sit on either side of the axis. Since all justices are then on the same scale, the MQ Scores are not just pairwise measures between two justices.
MQ scores are somewhat arbitrary in magnitude, but they have never exceeded positive 10 for conservative justices or negative 10 for liberal justices. These bookends are meant to provide some sense of the scores’ usual range, which is meaningful in a relativistic sense. Most importantly, similar MQ scores mean that justices are closely aligned in their voting, while greater distance between scores means that two justices often disagree.
The following graph shows, in blue, the absolute values of the distances between Marshall and each of the eight other justices on the court in Marshall’s last term (1990). And in red, it shows the distances between Thomas and each of the other justices during Thomas’ first term (1991).
Two of the justices that stand out with these distance measures are Chief Justice William Rehnquist and Justice Antonin Scalia. As both justices were predominately conservative, they tracked closely to Thomas — which is evident from the low distance value. On the other hand, these same justices have the widest score differences from Marshall, who was the most liberal justice on the court at the time of his retirement. Marshall, like Ginsburg, sat on a predominately conservative court in his final years, and he was in the majority only 67% of the time in his final term. Thomas, in contrast, was in the majority nearly 77% of the time during his first term.
An analysis of a different Supreme Court seat underscores the magnitude of the ideological shift from Marshall to Thomas. The next chart compares the score differences of Justice Anthony Kennedy in his final year on the court with the score differences of his successor, Justice Brett Kavanaugh, in his first year. Kennedy was in the majority 92% of the time in his final term. He also tended to vote quite conservatively that term: He voted with the conservative justices in all 14 5-4 decisions that broke down along ideological lines. Kavanaugh was in the majority 88% of the time in his first term and was in seven conservative majorities in 5-4 decisions, compared with just one occasion when he was the swing vote for the liberal justices. Not surprisingly, then, Kennedy’s MQ score differences in his final term track quite similarly to Kavanaugh’s in his first term – an indication that the shift from Kenendy to Kavanaugh did not significantly alter the court’s ideological balance.

Where does Ginsburg fit into all of this? Like Marshall, Ginsburg is a liberal justice on a predominantly conservative court. Her 75% frequency in the majority this past term is on the low end of the current slate of justices and is between those of Marshall in his last term (67%) and Thomas in his first (77%).
Six of the justices fall into a narrow band of majority frequencies between 72% and 78% for OT 2019. Only Chief Justice John Roberts, Justice Neil Gorsuch and Kavanaugh fall outside of this band at the higher end of the spectrum. Possibly more telling are the justices’ rates in the majority in the court’s 14 cases that were decided 5-4 or 5-3 during the recent term. The five more conservative justices were in the majority in 10 of them. Roberts sided with the more liberal justices in two others, and Gorsuch sided with the liberals in one. The final 5-4 decision, Georgia v. Public.Resource.Org, included justices of mixed ideologies in the majority. Ginsburg was in dissent in that case, making her overall frequency in the majority of 5-4 or 5-3 decisions this past term only 21%.
When we look at Ginsburg’s MQ score differences from the other justices over the two most recent terms with released scores, OT 2017 and OT 2018, we see her proximity to the liberal justices and distance from the conservative justices — including from the three conservative justices most often in the court’s majorities. Ginsburg’s distance from Kennedy in OT 2017 is right on par with her distance from Kavanaugh in OT 2018. And both Kennedy and Kavanaugh were almost triple the distance away from Ginsburg as was any of the liberal justices.
This leaves a few possible scenarios for the future of the court depending on how long Ginsburg remains.
Ginsburg needs to retain her spot on the court until a new president is sworn in, not just elected, to ensure someone other than Trump fills her seat. If Trump fills Ginsburg’s seat, chances are the justice will be at least as conservative as Roberts and Kavanaugh and will very possibly be closer to edge of the conservative continuum, like Thomas and Justice Samuel Alito. A few Republican presidents have appointed justices who have drifted in the liberal direction over time, but this is unlikely now given the vetting that goes into nominations. A seismic shift from a Trump-filled Ginsburg vacancy would likely resemble the transition from Marshall to Thomas.
If, on the other hand, Ginsburg were to retire with a Democratic president in office, her seat would likely be filled by a justice who aligns most closely with Justices Stephen Breyer, Sonia Sotomayor and Elena Kagan. This shift would look much more like the one from Kennedy to Kavanaugh.
Only time will tell which transition we’ll encounter. The likelihood of Ginsburg remaining on the court for another four years if Trump is reelected seems low. Ginsburg’s health over the next five months and the results of the 2020 election, both for president and for the Senate, will likely dictate whether the court takes an even sharper turn to the right or whether it remains at least somewhat similar to how it looks today.

20 Gorgeous Green Chairs in the Bedroom
New Post has been published on http://wonderfulhomedecorations.com/?p=233152
20 Gorgeous Green Chairs in the Bedroom
20 Gorgeous Green Chairs in the Bedroom
Bring a touch of freshness in your bedroom with a green chair!
They said that having greens inside your house makes it more calm and relaxing – and that is the reason why we created a list that would have green chairs in them! This might be a little thing but could actually go a long way because aside from adding a calming effect to your space, they basically add beauty and charm wherever you add them to!
Below is a list of 20 Gorgeous Green Chairs in the Bedroom – lists like this one is my favorite because it allows people – you and I, to actually visualize our bedrooms with green chairs in them. Believe it or not, this color could go well with any color combination you already have, so adding it to your bedroom for example would not mean that you’d have to alter a few things to actually adjust to it – check out what I’m talking about!
1. Danish Luxe Revival
Garrison Hullinger Interior Design Inc.
These apple green cute stools surely go well with the fabric used on the bed – from its base to the linens themselves. I like how they actually made the colorful pillows and mint green bed linen work with the entire color scheme. The cute stools added a hint of vintage in this bedroom which I think looks great!
2. 336 Park Avenue
Coggan + Crawford Architecture + Design
I wish that we have a prettier head board in here – the bed looks okay as it is, but I think it could have been better if it actually had a larger (more visible) head board to add something more on the wall. The picture or frame seen on the wall looks nice but still – I think this space could have been better.
3. Mesa Residence
Jessica Risko Smith Interior Design
This is one minimalist but neat bedroom from Jessica Risko Smith. The color combination is basically more on the neutral tones but by adding the hints of avocado green accent chair, pillow and that lovely flowers on the side gave this bedroom a bit of color but a lot of love!
4. Summer’s Lodge
J & O Studio
What do you think about getting matchy colors for your bed and your accent or reading chair? This bedroom is basically in white – it looks real lovely and definitely comfortable – and I think the greens made it look more homey and calm. Two things that you’d actually want and aim for in a bedroom!
5. A Room with a Hue
Hartley and Hill Design
The green cabinet in here actually is really stunning! I love how it stands out because of the dark walls – which are by the way not black! I’m not so sure, but I am thinking that the space close to where the chair is, is actually a bathroom. All in all, I think this bedroom has a stunning choice of colors – not too girly and definitely not too dark!
6. Britannia Mills
Donald Architecture
In a bedroom that is mostly black or white, adding hints of other colors (like in this case, green) in it actually gives a more lively feeling and aura to it. As much as a black and white combination is a classic one, adding bits of colors like in furniture or in decors, it creates a more stunning space.
7. The Capistrano – Quail West
Diamond Custom Homes, Inc.
The greens in here are just beautiful – I think it’s in emerald and it looks really classy and stunning! The chair by the window and the stool by the night are just perfect! What do you think about them though?
8. The Preserve
Margaret Donaldson Interiors
The colors in here are simply done – like with the room color, the linens and that of the chair. I also like how the flooring basically contrasts everything in here – wooden panels actually rock, they match everything and they always look great.
9. Bruce Avenue Residence
Martha O’Hara Interiors
This darker color of green is quite interesting and beautiful – it’s interesting because of how dark it actually is but then again still complements with the whole color scheme and it’s quite a treat for the eyes. If you see it a bit clearly, you might notice that the wall paper by the head board looks a bit feminine, but I love it!
10. Jobe Remodel
MQ Architecture & Design, LLC
So, this is a bit of a traditional bedroom with its design and especially with the linens! The choice of the linens and the prints in here is a bit plenty but then again, these are the things that some people really love. What do you think about the design of the windows in here?
11. Balnarring Beach House
Diane Bergeron Interiors
This beautiful bedroom looks really comfortable and nice. We only see a portion of the house but we can see how nice their choices of fabrics are and how pretty the furniture is in here. The green leather chair is a great choice to be added in this neutral-colored bedroom.
12. Shady Canyon
Nathan Fischer
The large, comfy, green arm chair in this bedroom looks really nice. The material of the chair seems to be a bit velvet and I think it’s nice and it actually match with the bench at the foot of the bed which seems made of velvety material too.
13. White Bedroom in the City
Lewin Wertheimer
The green accents in this bedroom is quite evident than in most of the rooms in this list. The green tiled fireplace and the Asian-inspired green fabric for the arm chairs are really beautiful. Notice how much this bedroom looks like that of a cabin or a house separate from the main house.
14. Beach House Bridgehampton
Amy Lau Design
With bedrooms that is shared among people – getting common ground could be tricky, but then if the users of the said bedroom would be able to decide on a color scheme or theme, then something beautiful like this one would be achieved.
15. Vancouver Transitional Home
Fina Designs
This bedroom is something people should be excited about – it has a beautiful look and aura; great pieces of furniture and decorations; stunning lighting fixtures and a definitely awesome design in general. The theme is a bit feminine but I think this is what makes it prettier than it already is.
16. Denver Home
J & O Studio
The bedroom color is very simple and even plain – but then adding the printed green stripes on the wall behind the pillow is actually neat and it really complements with the contemporary design of the chair and the foot rest. Well, it sure looks like green and grey look good together.
17. Weho Condo
Michelle Workman Interiors
Familiar with this bedroom? I know I am! The prints on the wall and on the bed and the bench at the foot of the bed are real cool. I like how the drapes somehow match with the linens on the bed and basically everything in here just blend well with each other.
18. Santa Rosa Residence
Jennifer Robin Interiors
I know that this is basically not a chair – because it looks like a small couch or mini sofa, but this still belongs to the chair family right? The color looks a bit similar to that of a leprechauns’ outfit and I think it’s really beautiful and regal-looking in here.
19. San Francisco Showcase
Farallon Construction Inc.
This is one interesting bedroom in general – the play on colors and prints on it is really something; something nice actually. The chairs in here is funky and unique and the drapes and the plant decals is quite interesting – in a good way.
20. Palma Plaza
Hugh Jefferson Randolph Architects
So the color of the linens on the bed is a bit weird – well, colorful really and then all of a sudden, the color of the chairs seems a bit off – because it is of blue green or something. Well, I personally like the chairs’ color – it seems easy to maintain – and we all want that. Right?
Well, this list was fun! We were able to see a whole lot of different chair designs that came in different shades of green! And I think sharing these lists would mean reaching more people who could use them.

Coco Retro Bistro by 32 mq & Inside Out Contracts, Tunbridge Wells – UK
Walking up the dark-black staircase guests arrive into a bright, modern restaurant space where the white and powder blue colour palette provide a stark contrast to the ground floor. The ceiling has been removed to expose the roof structure and light wooden columns divide the fireplace area from the rest of the restaurant. from Retail Design Blog http://retaildesignblog.net/2017/07/24/coco-retro-bistro-by-32-mq-inside-out-contracts-tunbridge-wells-uk/
