Me: *not watching the State of Play because I just happened to miss it* Everyone: Eternights looks just like P5! Me: What? Oh here we go again. >_> Dev of Evernights: Yeah I played P5, then played P3/4 and yeah this game is inspired by Persona! Me: Oh ok then let’s see! Me: *watches trailer* Me: ......the hell is everyone talking about? Other than Social Sim + combat I literally do not see it.

#silly talks #i mean I am interested in it #but just cause it has social sim/date mechanics with combat doesn't suddenly ring "persona' for me #persona insp would be like mind=0 caligula or monark #the former being a ripoff and the latter two having P1/2 and SMTif devs #unless this game has people summoning some kind of alternate self/demon OR #OR following a VERY STRICT calendar sched (not kinda sorta like Trails of Cold Steel 1)#then I'll see the insp but at the moment the combat doesn't seem similar and there's just the dating stuff #considering the creator seems inspired by neo persona I'm expecting more neo persona influence #no seriously if I had just watched state of play and saw this I would be like 'oh a jrpg'#nothing made me think P5 or any persona #the combat doesn't seem to be turnbased? and do they summon weapons or what?#psychic abilities? is that it?#nothing about that screams old or neo persona XP #but I'm still here for it
