executive decision made abt arque if he had a ingame questline it would b The Dragon's Song about finding something in his archives about a fragmented song-spell created by an alliance of ancient dragons(?) that could grant one's greatest desires (he is literally looking for a granted wish yeah) but the kicker is that Arque is ultimately a man who does not know why he lives and persists and was hoping that along the way he would find OUT what that heart's desire was at all, if he had one meaningful, if he would deserve something at the end of it or is spending all these anguishes on the road just to hope he does something good and memorable for someone else again.

AND obviously in this hypothetical there are more dragonborn in the story. Maybe a travelling band of dragonborn mercenaries in the local area, a clan that prods him about well tell us when you find the dragon's song and return it to us as is Right. No we wont help its not real. But you should return it here. Your kin are everything aren't they we deserve the treasures of our enemy. And Arque is like well oh uh i guess i can . Do this for us (us is a group of people only tangentially related to him but he feels the obligation regardless.) (his *us* has always been his actual folks in baldur's gate but he's been away on his own for so long now he jus.. has no one and needs the connection...)

Arque sorc/bard multiclass canon bc he mentions by the second or so collection of the dragon's song may actually be DOABLE by mortal hands, not only a myth to keep up for story records, should they be magically gifted (and his blood IS, so with pinpricked bloody fingers he picks up his lute) and has to lock in. progressing his story unlocks, evolves a class action/bonus action where he plays fragments of it to different effect a la bardic inspiration—healing/buff or silence/damage, etc—he can "play" without instrument as a pure sorcerer but verbal alone and incomplete somatic gives him a bleed debuff (can't prick your fingers for magic blood? the song makes him cough it up.)

ruffles arque around in my head i'm still thinking how else it'd continue but I'd love an excuse to incorporate Ansur/both him and Arque being "ouuughh the storm of the gate"/storm sorceror-type theme. can you see my vision can you see my thoughts on this guy. what lays dorment rise to start wake thee now the dragon's heart

Shunsui Kyoraku x Reader - Jealousy

Shunsui Kyoraku is an amazing boyfriend, he's so sweet and caring, when you're down he listens to you ranting about your day and what went wrong. He reassures you when you feel you're not doing enough and when you need pampering he's ready with open arms. But he too has flaws, or rather just one big flaw…

as soon as he sees a woman, even if she is talking to you, he shifts his eyes to her, even if only briefly and this makes you insecure. Shift attention because you're not beautiful enough? You wonder every time as you watch him scan the woman who just walked by.

knowing his love for women, you are quite concerned that he will have to spend time with one of his exes: Nami, a beautiful woman with whom he had a relationship ended on good terms, also the relationship recently ended (she was the his girlfriend before you two dated).

he has to spend time with her on a job for Seritei, so you certainly couldn't ask him not to, but you couldn't help but feel a feeling of jealousy and fear whenever you remembered those two being together. Not to mention that this week you two haven't had time to be together, he was too tired from work for a date just the two of you and went straight to sleep. By now you were having lunch and dinner alone, and to think that those two still have to do another few weeks of work!

It's like you don't have a boyfriend now.

once you decided to surprise him at work, bringing him a lunch so that you could eat together, and what did he do? He took lunch for two, thanked you for bringing it to him and Nami, and returned to lock himself in the room with her. You were absolutely dumbfounded, you stared at the door for a few seconds in disbelief, after a few minutes you left with a broken heart.

you replayed in your head that episode over and over, how could he do such a thing? Didn't he miss you even a little bit? Shunsui was never the type to get too busy with work, if anything he was the one to avoid him, so the only possible option was that he's too busy with Nami to consider you.

maybe it was jealousy talking but maybe he's never been over his ex, maybe his feelings were rekindled when he spent time with her. You don't know, they are just your theories, and you are rationally aware that maybe they are all fantasies of your mind but on the other hand, you can't help but think that these theories correspond to the reality of the facts.

now you are sitting on the sofa with a glass of sake in your hand, slightly drunk, waiting for the return of your beloved. Maybe it's sake that suddenly made you brave but you have a desire to confront him about this situation, it doesn't matter if he's tired, you need to tell him how you feel.

as soon as you hear the door open, you make a feline snap (rather acrobatic for someone who is drunk), you put the glass on the table and you approach Shunsui who looks at you in surprise, he didn't expect you to still be awake at this hour and neither that you were drunk (he smells alcohol)

" Y\N, what are you--"

" Shut up " you cut him off abruptly, then point at him with your finger visibly angry " You…You ignored me, why? Why do you have to spend time with her? Why would you rather be with her than me? You do not love me? Or rather you never loved me?"

"My love, you know I've been busy. It was never my intention to ignore you, soon my work with Nami will end" he replies with one of those sly smiles as he places both of his hands on your hips. "I've just been busy with work, I don't feel anything for her"

you automatically slapped him on the right cheek, taking him by surprise. In reality, you too are surprised by the gesture, but your anger exploded with his answer, busy for work? When have you ever been busy with work? Nanano always had to take him away from home to force him to work, and in any case he managed not to do all the necessary work.

" Don't bullshit me, I know when you lie. Have you always hated work, always tried to get rid of it and now you're telling me you've automatically become a hard worker? Do you really think I'm stupid, huh? " he's about to open his mouth and speak but you're aware that whatever he says to you, you won't even listen to him you're full of his bullshit " I save you from looking for another excuse Shunsui, goodbye "

you don't even give him time to reply to this, you leave the house leaving him there with wide eyes unable to move. You don't have your own place to stay because you live or maybe it would be better to say you lived with Shunsui, so you went to sleep at a friend's house. It hasn't been easy at all, you still love him but you can't stand another day wondering if he still has feelings or buying his shit. Rationally you know this was the best choice but you can't help but feel so much sadness in your heart.
