Subspace doodles (PHIGHTING! Mermaid au)

so I was thinking more about the PHIGHTING mermaid au I’m doing and. What if subspaces’ gas- instead of being like actual gas, was polluted oil? I think that could make for a really cool trope if I ever were to redesign him for it :3!

For the design notes in specific:

When out of control, his “gas” takes the form of polluted oil, in control (as in wearing his mask and tank) it gets filtered into something akin to toxic brine (in which long exposure to can cause a lot of issues, specifically different types of shock, breathing issues, etc). Although the brine isn’t too dangerous to be around in small amounts, it can be harmful over time.

for those wondering what ACTUAL brine water (or more specifically brine pools) are, it’s pretty much a large accumulation of highly concentrated saltwater (which usually is around 10 times saltier then the ocean surrounding it) For most sea animals this brine means instant death due to the fact that is has no oxygen in it as well as the high saline levels.

Pairing: Lord Debling x Reader Word Count: 743 Description: Y/n is struggling with a painting when she recieves some much needed help.

So, I have never written fanfiction for Bridgerton before but after watching the first half of season 3 and meeting Lord Debling I couldn't help myself. I'm also very nervous to post this because it's a bit out of my comfort zone but I hope you enjoy anyway.

If you'd like to be added to a tag list of anything I write besides wrestling let me know!) __________ Y/n let out a soft huff as she wiped her forehead with the back of her hand, staring at the canvas in front of her. She’d spent the last two hours trying to paint a bird from the book set on a stool in front of her. This was a painting she just didn’t want to mess up on but the more she stared at it the worse it seemed to look.

“Is everything alright m’lady?”

“Yes Ruth, just having a bit of difficulty getting these colors to work and blend the way that I wish them too.”

“Please let me know when you are ready, and I shall draw the bath for you.”

“Thank you, Ruth.”

Watching the maid leave, Y/n turns back towards her painting and examines the book once more. Adjusting the apron she wore over her dress to keep from ruining it, she dipped into her paints again. More time passed and her frustrations only grew as the colors started running and made the bird look like a mess.

Dropping the paintbrush in the pot of water she hung her head in defeat, deciding to just start all over again. Not having heard the door open she nearly jumped, feeling a pair of arms wrapping around her before a chuckle sounded in her ear.

“Sorry to startle you love I thought you heard me enter.”

“That’s alright my lord I just was focusing on something else.”

Alfred glanced around to be sure they were alone before pressing a soft kiss to her neck.

“Tell me what’s the matter.”

“I’m trying to paint this bird and all of my colors keep running I’ve spent hours on it but alas to no avail.”

Remaining silently as his eyes drifted over the canvas in front of them, since they had began courting he was trying to take interest in her hobbies. When he found out she had a love for painting much like his mother, it was one he quickly did his best to learn all he could about it.

“Allow me to offer my assistance to you.”

Grabbing her hand gently together they picked up the brush, the sparks of electricity she felt as they moved together dipping into her paint pallet. She could barely concentrate at the feel of him pressed against her back. When the brush touched the canvas, she let out a soft laugh.

“What is it brining you such joy my dear?”

“Your beard tickles my cheek.”

Y/n spoke softly as his own smile grew to match hers the two talking in soft whispers as he helped her fix the once ruined picture.

“What do you think?”

“It looks so much better thank you for your help now we both must sign it.”

She said pointing to the feather quill and pot of ink sat on the desk a few feet away from them, Alfred reached over grabbing the quill. Signing the name Debling then placing the quill in her hand so she could sign her last name.

Placing it back in the ink pot Y/n slowly turned to face him their eyes meeting hers lighting up as his softened.

“Miss. Y/n  I know this may come forth as a bit forward but may I kiss you?”

He asked a slight nervous quiver to his voice if you listened close enough she remained silently causing him to clear in throat. The last thing he wanted was for her to feel pressured into anything. After a moment her smile grew as she leaned closer to him their lips brushing in the softest touch before a knock on the door sent them apart. Composing themselves she turned to see Ruth entering one more.

“Excuse me miss but your mother is looking for you.”

“Thank you, Ruth please tell her, that I will be right there.”

Ruth nodded, leaving them alone again y/n sighing softly she turned back to Alfred who gently touched her cheek.

“I must be going as it is rather late, I shall call upon you tomorrow afternoon would that be alright?”

“Yes, I would enjoy that very much my lord.”

The pair left the room and y/n saw him to the front entrance, his fingers once more touching her cheek in a bid farewell. Watching him leave she sighed her arms wrapping around herself, the thought of his arms around her caused her face to heat up. Turning, she went off in search of her mother.

Dante's Dumingo, as is name implies, is a Dumingo, an anatid in the family Anabalaenidae or the "Baleen-beaked Ducks". They are a family consisting of many migratory and gregarious species in several genera, all adapted for filter feeding in various environments. The genus Infernanas is particularly known for liking more extreme environments than its relatives, like soda lakes deep in the Sahara, boiling hot pools in remote islands up in the north Pole, or brine pools up in the highest mountain ranges.

But to survive in the Ourean mountains and surrounding deserts, this species had to adapt for every inhospitable conditions known, and yet, it has been able to survive every one of them. Gale’s dark eyes sweep languidly across the page, no doubt committing to memory the poetic verses written within. You watch from the doorway, comfortably warm in the threshold between cozy library and chilly balcony, a mug of tea slowly cooling in your hands. It brings joy to your heart to see Gale this relaxed. He’s reclined in a loveseat, dressed in his usual soft sleeping clothes and donning a pair of new slippers. The book he’s absorbed in is tome-like in appearance: leather-bound, some sort of ancient relic etched in gold leaf on the cover, a hefty clasp hanging loosely on the edges. You smile to yourself as Gale cautiously turns an onion-skin page, brows furrowed in concentration as he scans the next verse. 

With a small sigh, you lean against the doorframe, looking out to the churning sea beyond. There is something deeply nourishing about your days in Waterdeep. Perhaps it’s the way light rushes across the surface of the sea on clear days, sun glinting brilliantly in the sky, seagulls calling out to one another on the drifting ocean breeze. Maybe it’s the twinkling stars mirrored on the water at night, waves crashing gently to shore and the world silent as can be. It could be the hustle and bustle of the town around you, the familiar sounds of a peaceful life you’d almost forgotten in your adventuring days. Or perhaps it’s the unwavering gentility, the steadfast adoration of the wizard before you. 

Gale catches you staring, the corners of his eyes crinkling with delight at the sight of you. 

“Care to join me?” his voice breaks through your silent musing, eyes softening when you meet his gaze, “Books are always better with company.” 

“Of course,” you return, for how could you refuse such an invitation? You abandon your mug on the coffee table, shivering when a gust of wind brushes through the balcony. With it comes a pleasant whiff of petrichor and brine, a scent you’ll probably forever associate this tranquil afternoon with. 

“Darling, you’re freezing,” Gale worries, shifting in his spot to give you room to lay next to him. The loveseat is hardly big enough for two, but all the more reason to cuddle, you think to yourself. And that was most certainly Gale’s plan, for as soon as you sit down, he draws you into his warm embrace. He’s quick to take one of your freezing hands in his, drawing it to his lips and pressing a tender kiss to your knuckles. He warms it with his breath before sneaking in another kiss to your palm.

“Better?” he ventures, a gentle beam breaking through the gloomy grey of the afternoon. 

“Much,” you softly chuckle, letting your forehead rest against his. This moment is suspended in time, the balcony suddenly a realm of its own. Beyond the soft sound of Gale’s exhales, you can hear a drizzle of rain pitter-pattering on the rooftop, droplets bouncing off the railing and landing in tiny ripples on the water’s surface below. Gale holds your hand to his chest, his other arm drawing you close. Beneath your fingertips is the velvety texture of his shirt, the gentle thrum of his heart. This is nourishment in its purest form: Gale Dekarios, his love silently enveloping you, body and soul. 

You angle yourself to better reach his lips, pressing a tender kiss to them, lingering for a long while. Gale’s tongue softly traces the part in your lips as your fingers tangle in his hair. He moves to press tiny kiss after kiss against your cheeks, eyelids, and jawline. 

“Hmmm,” you hum, when he dips to give some much needed attention to your neck, “You can keep reading if you’d like. I don’t want to interrupt you.”

Gale’s book is long abandoned somewhere on the loveseat. You suspect he might be sitting on it, far too engrossed in you to pay attention to the tome digging into his leg. 

A small chuckle reverberates through Gale’s chest when you inadvertently gasp, his lips ghosting down to your collarbone.

“You’ve well and thoroughly distracted me, my darling,” he admits, “I’d much rather you be the subject of my studies this dreary afternoon.”

“Then you are easily distractible,” you return with an impish smirk. Gale quirks an eyebrow at you.

“Or is it that you and your irresistible charm are incredibly distracting?” he teasingly returns, laughing as he pulls you closer and lays his lips to yours once again.

The roaring seas rose with a mighty crash through the winds. The waves grew higher and higher each passing minuet. Through the grey skies and clouds painted in a dark, deep blue. A blackened frigate powered through the waves like a leviathan pushing through its own squall.

The black galleon rose and dived when the mightiest waves increased.

A sailor with an aging face and experienced life narrowed his eyes and furrowed his brows. "Blasted!" He yelled. "Start reefin' them sails, an' batten the hatches, we be under poesidons wrath, his fury unleashed upon the black pearl!"

Located at the helm, a captain, a legend, with long brown dread locks blowing in the wind and his coat soaking with rain and salt water, squinted his gaze, hard as iron. His calloused hand pulled at the wheel spokes, turning the helm to keep her afloat.

He never screamed, panicked, nor bellowed. His eyes squinted, looking at the compass which did not point north. His concentration was soon broken when—

A creature larger than a leviathan breached over the waves. Gibbs, his weathered eyes widened as his mouth dropped.

This was no ordinary whale. It was a goddess/god that was cursed by amphitrite for y/n's stunning beauty and jealousy. Y/n was turned into a blue whale as a result.

Y/n's massive eyes looked down at the tiny ship below. You could crush them or—save them. You were twice the size of an elephant, and your weight was three times the galleon ships.

You dove back down into the sea; your tail stirring a massive wave that poured over the main deck. The crew swept to the gunnerwhale, gripping the edge.

"All hands men! Jack!" Gibbs shouted.

Jack tried to hold on, his hands gripping the helm's handles with all his might. The waves force swept him up over the rail. Gibbs's eyes narrowed, and his teeth gritted. He held his hand out to Jack yet.

"Blasted." He muttered.

Jack attempted to swim to the top. His lungs were struggling to find any air. He could only taste salt. Lower and lower he Sunk, his limbs were becoming sore. The last ounce of breath he had faded.

You could see an object, a figure, a man. With your massive tail, you swam to reach him. Using your voice, you made a clicking sound to identify the creature. Was it a threat or a friend.

You sung out a loud call. Your arms floated gently to the man. You guided him up to the surface.

You breached just above the waters surface. Jack's eyes awoke, spitting out the salt water he inhaled.

Looking up, he saw a massive figure, almost resembling a blue whale. He slightly bowed, his eyes glancing with caution. "I'll take this as a thanks, aye?" He grinned.

You made a low, soft, rumbling sound.

"Not the first time I've dealt with something big, but it seems it won't be the last." He said, gripping a bottle from his pocket, drinking.

You made a low clicking frequency and squinted.

You gently swam over to the Black pearl. The wind blew through Jack's hair.

The crew on the pearl looked up to see a massive hand lowering. When your hand opened, Jack leaned against your finger. "Fortunately, I've no ounce of brine to spare, but if I see one', I'll let you know." Jack said. There was a hint of flirtation.

Your jaw opened widely, expanding your throat sac. You dived below the waves.

The last thing Jack saw was your tail. He leaned against the tuftrail and smiled. "Fancy that, don't see that every day, now I do fancy me self a giant person heh."

Ohhh, what do I think??

I think, Bear was so out of it that he didn't cry. All his mental resources were concentrated on brining Caulder back again. He couldn't let himself cry anyway, not with Dharma scared and panicking behind his back

But once Alex regained consciousness? Dharma rushing past him and falling to her knees next to the bathtub to finally look her father in the eyes, see his heaving chest and trembling lips because he was breathing and still alive. The overwhelming fucking relief. Bear stormed out of the bathroom and realized too late that his cheeks burned with tears instead of ice-cold shower water.

Homemade pickle test batch went GREAT actually. I was aiming for a Claussens dupe and despite the fact that I just threw a bunch of stuff together* this tastes "right" to me!! Claussens aren't actually fermented I think but this is a like...a half-sour style? with some vinegar in the brine for flavoring and it turned out very well. I left them out of the fridge for like four or five days I think. The cucumbers I used have a distinctly different texture than a typical gherkin, but they're quite nice and do have a crunch to them. I will make more.

Emotional Hurt/Comfort - Sanji & Luffy

Sanji stands at the sink, washing dishes with steady hands with Luffy's arms are wrapped around his waist, holding him close. He glances over his shoulder and sees his captain resting his head against his back, sighing softly, his hands slowing in the soapy water.

Ever since they rescued him from his terrible family, Luffy has been inseparable from him, regardless if he’s cooking in the kitchen or simply standing on the deck, the other man is always right there. At first, he found the constant clinging incredibly annoying. Every time he turned around, there was Luffy, holding onto him like a lifeline but as time went on, Sanji began to understand the reason behind it. Luffy was afraid, afraid that they might lose him again. Realizing this, Sanji's irritation melted away, replaced by a deep sense of empathy and just let him cling to him. His embrace comforting the cook too. Whenever Luffy wraps his arms around him, it helps him understand that the nightmare is truly over and that he’s finally home.

Though the constant contact made fulfilling his duties a little more challenging.

Sanji steps back to dry his hands, feeling his captain mirror his movement, never letting his face leave his back and turns in his captain’s embrace, letting him rest his face against his chest instead. The blonde raises one arm to wrap around the other and pulls him close, while his other hand absentmindedly scratches his head.

“You idiot.” Sanji huffs, leaning back against the counter and hears Luffy’s soft grunt of acknowledgment in response. “I’m not going anywhere.” Nami sits at the table, quietly watching them and doesn't say anything but Sanji can tell from her expression that she's relieved to have him back too. “You’re stuck with me now.”

Luffy probably won’t let go until they’re miles away from his family’s kingdom, holding on tightly until he’s sure his friend is truly safe. It's endearing but he still has to finish cleaning the rest of the kitchen, his eyes keep drifting to the suspicious scorch marks scattered around the room and hasn't brought himself to ask about them yet.

When Luffy shows no signs of letting go anytime soon, Sanji just gives in and wraps his arms around his captain, resting his chin on his head. He lets out a heavy breath and feels Luffy lean into him, his arms tightening their hold around him, noticing Nami smiling at the sight.

Why couldn’t his sweet Nami be clingy too?

Sanji smiles as well, feeling a wave of relief wash over him now that he’s back on the Sunny and turns his head slightly, resting his cheek against his captain’s head, hugging his captain a little bit tighter.

“I can’t make us anything to eat with you clinging onto me like this.” Sanji tries to reason with him, attempting to get him to loosen his grip just enough so he can prepare lunch but the rubber man isn’t budging, his hold remaining firm around his waist. “Aren’t you hungry?”

“No.” Luffy's voice is muffled against his chest but Sanji can still make out the words and leave him momentarily speechless, his eyes widening in surprise and feels his heart ache inside his chest. The cook silently berates himself, convinced that Luffy's current state of worry is his fault and reassures his captain, promising that he will never leave again. “Shut up. Stop blaming yourself for it.”

Sanji nods in obedience, closing his eyes to concentrate on the scents around him. He takes a deep breath, letting the familiar aromas anchor him in reality. Luffy smells like the sea with a hint of salt and brine, mixed with his usual musk and the faint, earthy scent of his straw hat; It's a comforting blend that reassures him that this moment is real. The blonde's emotions begin to overwhelm him, his chest tightening and bites the inside of his cheek hard, the sharp pain grounding him and holding back the tears that threaten to spill.

His happiness is so overwhelming that, if he saw Zoro right then, he’d even give that stupid brute a hug.

Sanji looks up as he hears Nami rise to leave, allowing them some privacy and he’s thankful for her understanding, not wanting her to see him cry. As soon as she leaves and it's just him and Luffy in the kitchen, Sanji feels the tears welling up in his eyes. He tries to hold them back but the overwhelming emotions spill over. His shoulders tremble slightly and he quickly hides his face against his captain’s hair, not wanting Luffy to see him break down either.

Luffy doesn't lift his head from his chest, giving Sanji a moment to cry in peace but rubs his friend’s back.

“Take your time and cry as much as you need to. We still have a long way to go before we reach Wano.”

You were a perfectionist in everything, especially when it came to the art related to your girlfriend. It felt challenging to concentrate today; lately, you became a little ball of anxiety, as your love described you. Thoughts about your upcoming art exhibition, the first one for you, made you endlessly nervous. And you wanted Navia’s portrait to be the centre of it, as she was the one who never let you down and made you keep going for all these years with her energetic spirit.

“Oh, come on, don’t be that serious about it. I’m sure it looks like a masterpiece,” – she said, coming closer to you and tapping your shoulder. Her long, golden locks were shone on the sun. Sometimes you thought that she was your only light in life — the sun that comes after the long, cold night. And the one that you never want to lose, ever.

Can you please— “She didn’t let you finish; her gloved finger gently landed on your lips.

“Shush, my flower. I’m sorry that I’m about to turn down your request, but you should rest now. Your creation is more than perfect for me. I’ll definitely put it into the frame later, but if you are not sure, let's go unwind? We’re on a date after all; I need to drag you out of your troubled mind sometimes,” – she said, patting your head. Of course, you couldn’t argue with your girlfriend. Plus, persuading Navia was nearly impossible even for you. “Sure thing” — you replied as she took your hand. Your fingers intertwined immediately, and you felt your tangled worries were slowly washing away.

Navia was telling you something, but you couldn’t concentrate. You were else were, watching the way she moved so gracefully, like the petal of the rose on a wind. Suddenly, everything disappeared as you felt her hands covering your eyes.

The view from here was magnificent—a city below and plains and forests of Fountain beyond. Right above you, you noticed some cutesy birds that seemed like they were inviting you both to sit down.

“Yes, I do, very much,”- you said. You should have seen yourself smiling this moment. Your lips reaching from ear to ear. “Oh, love, you really have should just told me, we could organise it together and— “

“I wanted to surprise you. Come on, sit down,” — she said, making you settle on the blanket.

For the next hour you both were happily talked about this and that, savouring the desserts, you found out were cooked by your beloved.

“They are so tasty Navia! Hundreds of thanks to you, love.”

“My flower, no need to thank me that much; I just wanted to spend some time with you. Oh, look at me...” You raised your eyes towards hers. She gently took your chin, swiping a cream from a dessert with her thumb.

“That’s better, “— she said, not quick to let go. Her gentle finger brushed your lip, admiration and care evident in her eyes. She bit her lip. Red as a tomato, you felt her passionately dive in for a kiss. You returned it that exact second, lost in that moment of passion. The kiss tasted like vanilla from macarons. Your fingers ran through her silky hair, trying to get even closer to her. The minute felt infinite, but soon you ran out of breath. No one was saying anything, while you were trying to catch your breaths. After a moment of silence, her happy giggle rang in your ears: “You are so cute when you are that blushed.” Your beloved gently picked a blossom and put it behind your ear. “Y/n, you are pretty as this flower, no... even more beautiful than it” Navia giggled once again, making you smile wider.”

After a long time of being engaged in various activities, both exhausted, you collapse onto the blanket. Your head rests on her soft thighs, and the soothing patting nearly lulls you to sleep.

“Y/n?” — she asks.

“Yes?” – you respond, not bothering to open your eyes.

“Will you marry me?”

“What!?” Startled, you lift your head from her legs, sitting there in disbelief as the proposal sinks in your mind. “You mean it?” You felt heat rising to your cheeks once again, while Navia remained silent. Instead, she presents you a small black box, containing a beautiful gold ring with a carved rose on it. You didn’t answer anything, but with overwhelming feelings, you leaned and kissed her once again, showing her your acceptance.

“Of course.”

You love Navia — for her character, charisma, quirks and her radiating presence. The rest of the evening you both spend cuddling together under the soft blanket, witnessing the dawn and being ready to greet the night and a new coming day full of adventures together after that. As the dusk was gathering, you realise your artwork has been missing your own emotions, the way you saw Navia. And now you are ready to show this on your painting.

Merry March

Hey guys I am finally back to normal posting after a long battle with account hacking and so more I am back so from today I will be back to posting regularly 😭😭😭🤗😓

What is it for march ? You may ask for me it will be focus on self improvement and concentration practice along with brining back my sleep schedule on track for the last one month my sleep schedule was wrecked due to lots and lots of exam so my main aim is to bring it back.

Now for march I am thinking of releasing a printable so which one do you guys want ?🥳

Now for the challenge time , for this month I though of daily posting of some study material we are using it may be notes it could be simple as the textbook as well something in form of photo because I have been planning for a while to create monthly dairies so it can be start for all I mean I see very rarely people acknowledge daily or monthly achievements and rarely catalog memories people seem to lost they think only the perspective insta memories matter but I fell each moment must be cherished because once it is gone it is gone so ya that is a simple challenge along with the usual 5 hr minimum study hour per day that I also add to a challenge

That is it it was a long post but ya 🍀✨💕

oke so! some parts of the mers' warm environment are hotter than others. i'm thinking that some areas are hot lower down bc of thermal vents leading close to the magma core of the planet (but the magma is extremely far down so dw about that), plus the higher you swim towards the light above the hotter the water becomes

so far i've got these options:

🪼 some kind of underwater hot springs type deal similar to a brine pool where wrapped food can be lowered beneath the surface to cook. the pools are like water underwater 

🪼 the same hot springs situation, but an actual hot spring in a large air bubble cave. the mers may bathe in some of the less superheated springs too, but they don't mix bathing with food

🪼 a kind of earth oven - bury the food in hot sand, or lower wrapped food into a thermal vent, retrieve when ready

🪼 a solar oven - a contraption rigged to raise food towards their 'sun', where it can cook where the water becomes extremely heated

🪼 a solar oven... TWO! where they have built a box, and mirrors/glass concentrates the light from above to cook the food. must be handled with care (and not just bc it's fragile)

🪼 also curing and salting meat/drying veg in air bubble caves that have steam and heat from thermal vents
