what i think makes this a little funnier in the context of comet and fritz is that fritz canonically is the target for shapeshifting A LOT within the world they live in, so he's just upset by comet getting carried away, getting a little too romantical and accidentally shapeshifting into him because he's just like "NOT YOU TOO"

Here are the signs your partner may be Fae.

A 'green thumb', very knowledgeable about highly local plants and fungi

Strong aptitude for poetry and instruments, a very beautiful singing voice. They highly enjoy writing songs for you, composing poems about you, and singing together.

2 - Deity Again, more common than you might think. Deities both minor and major often find themselves attracted to humans, and stories of these romances are baked into our histories. They're harder to spot than Fae, often indistinguishable from a normal human thanks to their many years observing people.

The biggest clue is that they don't notice pain, and never seem to get hurt. They'll have invulnerability or high resistance to things such as burning, freezing, drowning, cutting, and blunt force trauma. They might not notice they've put their hand on a hot burner, for example.

Speaks in strangely archaic language, often misunderstanding modern trends and linguistics. Oddly knowledgeable around ancient subjects.

They may randomly smell like blood and/or smoke. This is often a sign they've just received an offering, and the intensity of the smell is stronger with more powerful deities.

They can immediately tell when someone is lying, usually without giving a cause for the knowledge.

The two of you share pet names of a celestial nature, such as "star", "nova", "sun", "moon", "comet".

When upset, they have a highly commanding voice that can shake glass or cause bizarre events to happen (ie; mist indoors, words on a page scrambling, lights changing colour).

Heightened interest in the topic of immortality - particularly your views on it. Frequently asking you 'how you would feel' if you would live forever.

3 - Dragon A very rare (but not impossible) phenomena, most people have no idea that dragons are intelligent and emotionally complex beings that can very convincingly disguise themselves. Living in caves isn't for everyone and loneliness is not just a human feeling.

Very wealthy, but with no clear sign of where the wealth originates from. They may say their money comes from a 'long-term investment'.

Highly passionate lover. Deeply devoted and affectionate, sometimes to the point of it being inappropriate in public. Enjoys big displays of affection and physical intimacy. May need to be told to slow down.

Abandonment issues. This often stems from the highly violent childhood many dragons experience, and the frequent loss of loved ones to dragonslayers. They might be reluctant to be separated too long.

Has a particular item they enjoy hoarding. This could be clothes, trinkets, plushies, shoes, anything at all. You may find that they're very easygoing about you touching their collection, maybe they even actively make you part of the hoard. They may dress you in collected clothes, sort their collected plushies around your bed, or ask you to wear jewellery they've found. But they'll become extremely agitated and aggressive if anyone other than you tries to interact with 'their things'.

Prone to anger, quick-tempered.

Frequently concerned about your health, seems to perceive you as delicate and easily injured.

Please remember that if your partner IS nonhuman, they almost certainly didn't intentionally lie. Human relationships will seem very fast to other entities. Many transform into humans for a fun year out, find themselves head over heels in love, and then can't figure out the right time to tell their human lover the truth. Try not to hold it against them, everyone has their quirks!

I’m not sure if I’ve said this one already or not, but I wanted to tell you anyways! It’s about the humans-are-not-hylians AU!

You know the uncanny valley evolution? That thing where when you look at something that resembles a living being too closely and some part of your mind is screaming that it’s not whatever it looks like and to get away from it? Imagine that with the reader! They can spot shapeshifters easily because of this, but it instills the same extreme primal fear we’d experience, so it might be hard for the reader to confront them at first and they’ll instead just tell the Chain for a while.

This might be a double edged sword, though, because when Twilight is in his wolf form, the reader still gets that same feeling when “Wolfie” is looking at them, whether or not they know it’s Twilight. In this case, the first time the reader spots Wolfie approaching the camp, they probably freak out and try to avoid him, even if the Links are okay with him or if he seems familiar to them.

The bottom line is that wolf isn’t a wolf, so what is he?

“It’s okay, he’s a really friendly wolf!”

u bet ur ass every link was relying on you on their adventures to know shapeshifters/illusions/glamours/etc. on sight and tell them to better prep them/warn them

tbh they all got at least a little better at being able to tell the difference the longer they heard you point out stuff/talk abt exactly why it was off-putting

(that said some of ur heroes are better at it than others, both in general, and certain aspects of it: like Twilight isn’t able to pick up illusions/glamours for the life of him, literally, sometimes, but he is more likely to figure out shapeshifters by scent after you Guided him)

(no, your heart didnt crack a little after learning that the boys had a harder time with deceit after you stopped playing the game = “were forced to leave after their adventure” bc while they were better at detecting it, they werent on ur human level yet..)

(…the only deception you ever really fell for was Koholint. It was so painful too, because Legend quietly disclosed to you one late night that you would constantly get strange feelings/uncanny disturbances, but were never able to put a name to it for him, which both made you jumpy/paranoid on the island, but made him regret ever letting his guard down all the more or feel guilty for what felt like dismissing ur instincts the more he relaxed… Legend never doubted your sense for the uncanny ever again. He takes it seriously every time now.

When you feel as if you should apologize, he tells u not to, that these days he takes comfort in it actually, it makes him feel safer. Legend looks to your face for confirmation that something isn’t a dream, and if you look at ease, so is he.)

The darkness of night was always dangerous to those whom did not heed the warnings of the monsters whom lurked within the abyss and shadows.

The woman knew that more than anyone else very well. Often finding herself confined within it's hold. Innocence ensnared like a bird within it's cage. Singing it's innocent melodies despite being condemned to be surrounded by cold iron bars. Forever ongoing. Swirling, swirling around 

The sun sank beneath the horizon to make way for his sister the moon to take her rightful place upon her throne of darkness surrounded by her army men of stars and comets. 'Cone out!' She cried out to her dark children that hid from the light. 'My brother and his infernal light is gone. Once more come out to greet your mother and wreck discord upon thine earth. Have your fun dancing in my gentle glow and bask in the darkness that I reign upon as I watch over you.' The monsters woul answer their mother's cries. Dancing. Reigning havoc over the darkness. Bringing entropy to every household they manage to invade. 

A fire warmed up the skin as your lazy eyes watched the dancing flames in the pit. The flickering lights casted dancing shadows the lonely still walls. They frolicked in tune with their own rythme in their own universe. However the warmth of the fire kept your body warm and toasted from the cold outside. No doubt crawling with monsters and demons of the abyss walking forth towards you with every step they took. In tune with every breath you took. But you didn't mind. Infact within the darkness the maiden embraced their outstretched embrace. 

Step. Step. Step.

Closer and closer.

Breaths of sins clawed their way from a maw that swallowed more innocent lives than the mind cared to remember. Smiling at a wicked whim remembered or a sinful coppery taste that it could still taste on the malicious tongue. Running the muscle along fangs sharp and destined to rip flesh from mere bond. However the sins of that life would be forgotten in exchange for the comfort of innocence that the night allowed him to have once every moon.  Footsteps soft yet loud enough to echo through the darkness and approaching fast the house with remaining light. Light that offered warm and comfort but not protection.

F/c orbs opened slightly and turned. A door normally provided comfort and protection was no match for the class that ensnared it and pushed it open allowing the night and shadows to spill inside. The shadows morphed and molded like a child's puddy but blackened by evil sins and see through like shadows. It melded upwards into a shape that sprouted the form of a man but the eyes of a hell dweller.

The sinful, wicked smile that soon melted into place on the face was delighted to see the one of innocent happiness smiling back to her. "What's this? You should know better than to leave doors open. But as long as I stand here, do you mind if I come in and warm myself by your fire?"

A giggle all too sincere made the monster's moldable heart beat against his own ribcage in anticipation of her answer.

"Come right in, Sir. Heaven knows how cold the night must be for you."

The monster did not hesitate given the permission. Coming inside to receive his reward for the sinful deeds he had done in the form of an embrace of the warmth she gave. The embodiment of darkness was enticing to say the least. Especially with herself entangled within his grip. It felt...

C o l d.

So cold, so frightening. Yet just for you. The blood ran cold yet so warm upon the strong arms around her. Eyes deeply staring through the soul wriggling, squirming in its hold. Gleaming  teeth beside the eyes in a smile that was promising sin yet a love no one else gave. There for her, the one caught up into the grip of the night. the only thing they could do for them was finish them off — even if it was they who would have to suffer then.

"You have no idea what you do to me. Making me feel things a man like me has no right being happy to have."

Neither spoke for a long moment just staring into each other's eyes before a cold hand reached out to run his knuckles along her chin causing her to shiver before leaning into that hand that switched to caressing the soft warm flesh. A strong arm pulled her forward until they were chest to chest. His sinful freeze and her innocent warm glow. A sturdy arm held her close, the other cracked the back of her head gently as worlds apart connected in the ultimate declaration of affection between two partners.

Lines were blurring. Obsession with love. Madness within clarity. Starvation of touch with longing of burning loneliness. Passion and poison. Breaths were warm despite his cold body. Eyes soft despite their own desire filled look. Grip firm but restrained so much it hurts him how cautious he was being to not harm. Her soft skin burnt him! It burnt, it burnt-

It lit up his soul with unresolved longing he was never able to fulfill like this with anything else in his life.

It was so easy to do away with your husband and take his place. It was SO easy to dispose of that sorry excuse of a man. Easily swallowing him whole and taking his form. His identity to use as he pleased with. It wasn't the most ideal person to take his pathetic identity but he'd do for now until he found something better. A better face for him to kill off before disposing of the corpse and shaping himself to their likeness. He's done so many times anyways.

A woman. A man. A child. Dog. Horse. Once even a weak little butterfly in a garden for a week. Pretending to be someone's mother, pet, partner, nanny, neighbor- It didn't matter again. As long as it suited his purpose. That's all this was supposed to be. A similar song and dance until he got what he wanted or he got bored and either left or devoir her and then leave. However he changed his mind once he came back home in your husbands form to his 'wife', and saw you sitting there smiling at him for the first time. Welcoming him back home with an open armed hug and kissing his cold cheek.

"You were taking so long. I was getting worried something had happened to the man I love."

The practiced grin from years of doing this gave away on his newest disguise. "I wouldn't dream of it. Sorry I took so long."

"Are you hungry? I made dinner."

"Oh no. I ate on the way here."

"Really? You must've been really hungry if you didn't wait."

"I was so hungry...I could've eaten a whole man."

Little did you know as you innocently giggled at his joke, was that he did. Your now dead husband. It was easy to assume his place as man of this household. Going to the money loaning job your ex husband used to do and keep you satisfied and happy which wasn't too difficult.

You seemed more happy to please him than worry about him making you happy. You never complained about anything. Wishing him a good morning and breakfast every morning, and a clean house and dinner every time he came back home. Doing your best to take his coat and asking how his day was. Never pushy if he was upset. Stayed quiet most of the time he was around other than the occasional small talk or happy humming.

This was nice. Most of the time his past 'wives' or 'husbands' were too pushy or did something to get on his nerves, mostly by bothering him but here you were just happy to be a stay at home housewife and let him bring home the bacon as you doted on the creature you thought was your husband. None the wiser to the change right in front of him. You were an exceptional person and he could work with this.

However liking it wasn't a part of the plan.

He never expected to like someone doting on him hand and foot bringing him meals while he sat in the living room drinking tea and reading the newspaper. Never thought he would want to be hugged and kissed. Never thought he'd long to come back to do nothing but sleep against the warmth your body would provide. Never expected to want to see you smile and giggle at him. 

Never admiring the domestic aspect of it all. Watching you hum while cooking food or cleaning up the home. Watching your face scrunch up when the lamp refused to work. Seeing you scared and flying to the nearest chair as you saw a giant spider.

He wanted ALL of it! And there was nothing stopping him from having you.

He pulled her closer deepening the connection for a blissful moment before slowly pulling away just a smidge. Their lips still touching as warm breath gently caressed his face as his dark eyes looked back in narrowing into possessive slits. Words whispered against lips as he spoke

"Don't say that. You're far from some beast on the streets."

Oh if only you knew. A shiver ran over her body so close and it sent a smile against her lips from him. It pleased him so. Whispered murmurs against lips. Close as lovers could ever be. Arms around each other's bodies like a whirlwind would pull them away. Eyes closing with one last murmur against her lips.

"That's right, Darling. You're one and only. Mine."

the tbosas tributes as x-men/mutants

my x-men brainrot makes me wanna merge my two fixations. very little people will get this, but i still put my heart and soul into this post, and i do not care TM.

do not take the x-men's actual relationships into account! just because two x-men are dating or siblings, doesn't mean that's what i interpret for the tbosas characters unless it's explicitly stated in the description!

context: the x-men are a superhero group formed by marvel, comprised of a special group of humans known as mutants. they have the x-gene, which grants them powers either at birth or during a stressful situation as the individual experiences puberty. they are a marginalized group (other superheroes don't undergo the regulations and criticism that they do) and began as a metaphor for discrimination in the 60s!

lucy gray as jean gray (power: telepathy and telekinesis)

i know it seems like i chose them because of their similar names, but hear me out! lucy gray has such a strong and almost telepathic hold on both panem and coriolanus snow, but they're also soft and loyal to the people they love. the last scene in dark phoenix (2019), where a "comet" flew over the sky and was implied to be jean, reminded me of lucy gray's mysterious ending.

marcus as magneto (power: magnetism manipulation)

the comparison that started it all. partners on the opposite sides of the war. (sejanus moving to the capitol / charles wanting to coexist with humans) is seen as a huge betrayal to (mutantkind / district kind) according to (magneto / marcus). magneto uses the helmet to block out charles' telepathy and undying love. marcus actively avoids talking to sejanus.

jessup as colossus (power: organic steel form)

both are large powerhouses that seem like physical threats at first glance (colossus is literally made up of steel), but actually have heart of gold. jessup has such big brother vibes and never brought harm to anyone with the only exception being lucy gray because of his rabies. he'd use his powers for good, and like colossus in deadpool, would have a no-kill policy <3

reaper as wolverine (power: retractable metal claws and regenerative healing)

two menacing characters with hardened exteriors and a "trust no-one" attitude. they also, apparently, are both istp. their softer side is reserved for the people they are loyal to. they're passionate about their fight and aren't afraid to die for their causes. i also don't want reaper to die TM so he gets regenerative healing to heal from the snakes/poisoned water. amen.

dill as shadowcat (power: intangibility)

book!dill seems to have the same teenage girlism that kitty pryde always radiates in the animated shows, especially in x-men: evolution. they're both sassy in a fun way, always ready to snap back at someone who isn't acting right... ahem, ahem... coriolanus snow. even while sick, she puts people in place. ill dill forever.

coral as mystique (power: shapeshifting)

both these characters are associated with the color blue, have red hair, like girls (mags as destiny? lol), and take initiative. coral rounded up a pack and went to town in the arena! mystique always stood on business no matter who she's up against. they both have this fierceness to them, have solid strategies, and know how to be a leader in their own way.

mizzen as mirage (creating illusions of opponent's fears)

the "m" in mizzen and mirage stands for "menace". in the "new mutants" and tbosas movie, both characters were unassuming and not seen as too much of a threat. people are quickly proven wrong. mirage proved herself to be an extremely powerful mutant in the facility while mizzen stood on business. they didn't play.

lamina as rogue (power: memory and power absorption through touch)

rogue is a gentle soul who laments about not being able to have physical contact with people. lamina... well, she was known for crying a lot. both are unassuming, yet resilient and fierce. lamina's natural empathy would also work really well with the power to absorb memories and skill sets. she'd use this power responsibly.

treech as nightcrawler (power: teleportation)

this power would've been so useful while he was running around the arena and stealing from others. people in the fandom mark him as some kind of performer thanks to his juggling, which is exactly what kurt was in the circus. I don't believe they're similar in terms of personality unless you look towards the x-men movie version of kurt, I just think they're swell.

brandy as magik (power: time travel via teleportation and sorcery)

based mostly on the "new mutants" movie, both characters are aggressive and aren't afraid to cause a little trouble with an authoritative figure. brandy with her mentor and the peacekeepers. illyana with dr. reyes... but she also beefed with the other mutants in the facility. lmao, she was always mad.

tanner as gambit (power: kinetic energy charging)

both are from the south with a bit of a menacing streak, and tanner deserved a gambit-adjacent southern accent. he seems like a guy that would love to deal cards that exploded upon contact with their opps. gambit also seems like to dance over the body of an opp (still love you, tan the man).

wovey as blink (power: portal creation)

based on our interpretations of blink in "the gifted", i can see her being similar to wovey. blink had been using her powers to hide and steal to survive, whereas wovey had always used the hiding technique in both the book and the movie. they're both softies inside and out! wovey with pretty pink portals agenda 2k24.

bobbin as havok (power: cosmic energy absorption and redirection/blasts)

in the xcu and tbosas, both characters are baa: blonde and angry. bobbin could've channeled his pent up anger into a bunch of energy blasts emitting from his chest. these characters like to cause trouble, but are so protective of their loved ones. also... imagine the chase scene in the arena, except bobbin had powers. it's entertaining, no?

character assignment speed-run! (since we don't get much of their personality in either the book or the movie, so now it's based on my vibes)

teslee as psylocke (power: telepathy and telekinetic constructs)

the ability to construct weapons out of nothing but pure, telepathic power? get my menacing nerd on the field! she would've loved being able to have weapons at her disposal, with the snap of a finger or a flick of a wrist.

circ as forge (power: intuitive intellect/limited technopathy)

our other techno-genius! forge has the ability to create anything intuitively by listening to the mechanical energy of the parts he puts together, which I think would've fired circ up and only increase his passion for technology by a tenfold!

velvereen as husk (power: transitional omni-morph)

husk has the power to shed her skin and form a new layer made out of any solid material. it made me think of velvet cloth, which made me think of velvereen... to me, she's stubborn and persistent like elizabeth!

facet as emma frost (power: telepathy and organic diamond form)

a boy named after the sides of a gem being assigned the mutant that turns her skin into an indestructible gem. poetic. not much to say about personality, but i like the idea of powerful!facet.

sol as sunspot (power: solar radiation absorption)

her movie version seemed determined and headstrong as she and hy pursued lucy gray and jessup, which matches sunspot's big personality and confidence. also... sol. sun. i'll see myself out.

hy as cannonball (power: thermo-chemical field propulsion)

I've always thought of his character as someone like sam in "the new mutants": reserved, nervous, and loyal. i also like the idea of hy being able to propel himself like a human cannonball... <3

ginnee as jubilee (power: "firework" energy blasts)

get it? because she got blasted in the arena... anyway, i imagine her to be similar in personality to jubilee. rambunctious, spunky, fun, a teensy bit stubborn, and always willing to prove herself by going on missions.

otto as cyclops (power: optic/eye blasts)

i imagine him to be a bit more reserved, assertive, and protective. he also got blasted... i feel terrible for assigning blast powers to the d6 homies, but I feel like they deserve this. good karma, if you will. if they get blasted, they deserve to have a... blast, too...

sabyn as quicksilver (power: super speed)

i genuinely do not give a flying fart if he was retconned as not a mutant, sabyn is him. she was so close to running away from the peacekeepers had it not been for that river TM... rip sabyn, you would've loved track and field.

sheaf as domino (power: probability manipulation/heightened luck)

Some Keitor

Snippet to a keitor fic I started around S4-- so now ITS ACCIDENTALLY THEMATIC. :D  Sometimes canon will break you-- and sometimes it is a gift.

“Who are you? Where is this?” The man demanded, accent vaguely foreign. His eyes glowed gold, with brilliant electric blue irises.

“I’m Keith.” And, because he was never one to dance around something staring him in the face, he added: “this is Earth.”

Keith unscrewed the thermos’ lid, taking a sip of hot tomato soup. He had a slightly soggy grilled cheese sandwich in his other hand, completing his solo picnic as he looked out at the spectacular night sky.

This far into the desert with no buildings around, it felt like he could see all the way out into other galaxies, spinning slowly away. The moon was a wisp of a smile on his left, climbing higher as the night wore on and Keith finished his packed dinner.

There was no particular reason to be out gazing at the stars every few days-- but Keith found it calming. Whenever he felt suffocated by tests, papers, or his own schoolmates, he always rode his bike out to calm himself, pretending he could keep going forever.

Some nights he’d track the miniscule blinking red light of a chartered plane. Others, he could count shooting stars.

Tonight, it seemed, was going to be a shooting star night.

Keith watched the white-hot flare of the head as it rocketed across the firmament, speeding through. Normally, he’d barely blink before the streak was out of sight, but this one was still visible, burning bright. Was that a comet? He hadn’t heard anything coming into visible orbit. Except, he realized faintly, the angle was entirely wrong. Instead of a haze streaking slowly across the sky, it looked like it was turning, almost, before dropping straight down. The bright crown of it swelled as it drew closer, a silhouette starting to form in its fiery center, then it crashed into the desert in an explosion of grit and sand.

Holy shit.

Keith scrambled towards the smoke, disregarding the spray of sand that now covered both him and his bike. The meteor had landed barely two dunes over. His heart thudded in his chest, rocking with the residual shock of impact.

He was expecting a meteorite- maybe a satellite that lost power.

What he found was a ship.

And there was someone inside.

“Hey-- hey, are you okay?!” Keith shouted as he ran up to what was probably the remains of a jet. It was a bit wider and shaped strangely, but what else could it be? Maybe it had lost its peripherals burning up in the stratosphere.

The aircraft’s hatch popped open as he climbed up one wing and the pilot lolled out limply, an unconscious ragdoll.

Keith hauled him out, surprised when he realized just how big the man was- easily bigger than any man he’d ever seen, though a couple of the university basketball stars came close in height.

He laid the man out on the sand, yanking his helmet free.

His first thought was that the man was suffocating, already blue and ashy from lack of oxygen. Training made him check the man’s pulse and anything obstructing his breathing, tugging at the strange suit to loosen it.

The second thing he noticed was that he had strange ears. Long and elfin, they jutted out from a fall of impossibly silky white hair. Like someone had ripped one of Tolkien’s elves from Mirkwood and put him under UV light.

He hesitated, then- gaze darting back to the strange ship. But while he had a pulse, the stranger didn’t seem to be breathing. Nothing he could see was obstructing his mouth or nose.  So he leaned down and breathed into his mouth, pumping  his closed fists down on his chest. He did it twice more before his patient woke--- and promptly pushed Keith down, flipping them over.

“Who are you? Where is this?” The man demanded, accent vaguely foreign. His eyes glowed gold, with brilliant electric blue irises.

“I’m Keith.” And, because he was never one to dance around something staring him in the face, he added: “this is Earth.”

The alien man’s eyes narrowed, finally seeming to register Keith’s human features. “...What are you?”

“I could ask the same about you,” Keith snorted. “I’m human. And you, I’m guessing, are alien.”

He frowned but didn’t deny it. His grip on Keith’s shoulders eased and Keith could almost hear his bones creak. “To you, perhaps. Does everyone here look like you?”

“Well, no, not really. We all look a little different from eachother. Mostly just hair and skin color and stuff like that. I guess they’re all humans like me, even if not all of them act like it.”

The man looked at him pensively, then his skin shifted, changing colors like a chameleon into something approaching Keith’s tone, but several shades darker. His eyes blinked and the sclera brightened into a human white. His pointed ears shrank, turning into respectable curled shells.

Satisfied, the shapeshifted alien got up, walking to his ship. He looked over it at first, taking in the dire condition of its engines before sighing. At a touch, it disappeared, blending into its surroundings.

“Very well, Keith. I need your help.”

“Do you want to see our leader?” Keith asked wanly.

“No, my presence must remain unknown. My ship will take a while to repair and I need a place to stay.”

“What are you running away from?” Keith asked, suspicious.

“My father,” he said simply. “He’s trying to kill me. Any more than that I’d appreciate telling you somewhere safer. You can’t be the only one who noticed my ship crash.”

No, he couldn’t. Keith hesitated a moment, then led the man back to his bike. “Do you have a name?”

“Lotor.”

“Well, Lotor, hop on and let’s ride.”

Nevermore Midnight (original/fandomless)- the big one, obviously, the feathery asshole himself. part of a race of extremely long-lived, emotion-eating shapeshifting bird-people. is actually almost 800 years old but his species’ aging process is slowed down proportionally to their longevity so appearance and development-wise (this is important, his mental and social development are also proportionally slowed) he’s basically twelve. literally the raven from the poem, he likes to fuck with people like that. has a tag

Newton Muller (original/fandomless) - the real newton was a boy with multiple sclerosis who was consumed by a prototype “perfect organism” which copied his dna and now believes it is the real newton muller, but cured of his disease and with kind of gross superpowers. has depression and is not dealing with his crisis of identity well. (also has a warframe fandom version where he is an operator, pilots nidus, and still has depression)

Jason Palmer (original/fandomless) - part of a mysterious secret order, he is flung back in time to hopefully undo a terrible future. upon returning to his own time, he discovers that his actions in the present were the explicit cause of the bad future. takes this poorly. has some cool illusion powers that he uses to do cool secret order stuff and also to hide the fact that he is a very bitter and angry man. (also i have his original incarnation where he’s an assassin’s creed fan-character but he’s not as interesting whoops)

Noah Ainsley (kingdom hearts) - a nobody researcher studying techniques to recombine heartless and nobodies into new, whole beings called hybrids. has a secret laboratory deep underground in twilight town, staffed by his successful experiments. a surprisingly good dude considering he doesn’t have feelings or easily understood morals.

Moors Mender (original/fandomless/superhero stuff?) - a terrifying 8 foot tall dinosaur monster from the scottish moors who wants to be a superhero but is struggling b/c everyone she tries to save is terrified of her. her actual superpower is not being a super strong dino-lady but that she magically knows the solution to problems (just not her own problems). when she’s not trying to be a superhero she runs a call-in tech support business out of her tiny apartment, which is slightly hampered by her impenetrable scottish accent.

Zela Thornrose and Vex Ainsel (original/fandomless/modern fantasy) - employees at a family-owned apothecary in the downtown of a bustling metropolis. zela is the son of the owners, and thoroughly disinterested in his work but lacks for better options, while vex is a full-time employee who took the job while practicing as a mage apprentice intending to use his employment to get discounts on potion ingredients. zela is hardcore gay and the twinkest twink to ever twink; vex is quietly and shyly bisexual. (ask me about how these two were originally kingdom hearts ocs at your own risk)

Glenn “Bones” Rivers (original/fandomless/supernatural) - formerly a hobbyist photographer and “paranormal investigator”, bones was mysteriously killed in his own home by a stranger he never got the chance to identify. he now exists as a ghost, a fact which he is surprisingly okay with considering his passions in life, though he really would like to figure out who murdered him and why. still kind of low-key mad that he wasn’t the first one to die in a horror movie scenario like he always joked that he would.

Frosset Stern (original/fandomless) - a comet that came to earth and took human form to look for his sister (a meteorite that crashed to earth an ambiguous amount of time ago and may or may not have been the tunguska event). very awkward and unused to human behavior and customs. has a magical icy scarf that is actually his comet tail. extremely cute.

Tarnished Fang (exalted heaven’s reach/generic space opera with some tweaking maybe) - an infernal exalt, specifically a cecelynian slayer caste. small and terrifying. will kill you, and it will be painful. has some very complicated motives that would be spoilers for my dnd group to mention here but hoo boy. (ask me about my other exalted npcs they all have good space opera potential)

Philadelphia & Jordan Niels (pacific rim) - pilots of the jaeger whiskey longshot, a mk iii jaeger that was active during the golden years. philadelphia was formerly a pilot of the jaeger philadelphia burst, which was attacked by a kaiju with an unprecedented ultrasonic boom ability that killed his co-pilot and left him in a state of extremely poor mental health, and was declared unable to drift until being paired off with jordan under mysterious circumstances. jordan is definitely the face and charisma of the pair.

Dystopian Crossovers

A multi-fandom, multi-pairing crossover of Supernatural, Star Trek TNG, DS9, VOY, X-files, Buffy, and the Hobbit movie verse.

These are the one-shot, two-shot, short multi-chapter adventures of the small San Francisco colony of humans. After a major disaster in the 24th century, a temporal distortion occurred which destroyed Earth in the 24th century. It also fractured other dimensions such as Middle Earth causing contamination on a colossal scale.

The disaster is thought to have been caused by experiments with the omega molecule but no one could be certain. It’s also a coincidence that at the same time, dark magic on middle earth and meddling in the natural environment by a group of rogue angels and demons in the 21st century may have added to the disaster.

Whatever the cause, Earth is now a wasteland. The setting is 2018 San Francisco after the eruption of three super volcanoes (Yellowstone, Toba, and Taupo), a nuclear explosion in DC, London, and Los Angeles, and a comet strike in the middle of the Atlantic have led to a complete wasteland.

Note: there are some controversial, rare-pair and completely made up pairings and ships below. If you aren’t prepared to have an open mind, or if you plan on sending me hate of any kind, do not continue. Also note this is very, very long.

The Characters and ships

So these characters and ships are my absolute OTPs in all my favorite shows. With the exception of one crossover pairing and a few others, these are pairings which I have been into since I first saw the shows. This is especially true where Star Trek is concerned because starting with TNG, I was a trekkie since I was 3 years old. Yes, I know they are all M/F or F/M but that isn’t relevant. This is really because these are the ships that I like all in one spot. In short, this collection of stories is all about me, myself, and I. These are my all time favorite OTPs and it really comes down to personal preference: my personal preference. And because there are so many characters I had to limit it to my absolute favorites in each show.

And yes there are so many other characters I would have loved to add in here and are certainly not forgotten but I am only one person and there are a lot of characters as it is so lots of characters just didn’t make the cut. If there were 10 of me then a lot more characters and a lot more variety of m/f, f/f, and m/m pairings would be possible but there aren’t 10 of me so it is what it is.

Star Trek Voyager

Takes place in season 6/7 right after the events of Unimatrix Zero

Kathryn Janeway was recovering from her experience with the Borg and being assimilated. She’d been taking a few days shore leave in the holodeck and Chakotay had joined her for a pleasant evening in Tuscany. They were having dinner when the disaster occurred and they were transported to Earth in 2018. When they arrived, they found the planet in ruin.

Star Trek Deep Space Nine

Takes place in season 5 / 6 during the battle with the Dominion

As Starfleet and the Klingons, led by the USS. Defiant, were trying to retake DS9 from the occupying dominion. Kira and Odo, their relationship strained from the events with the female shapeshifter, were trying to defend the station when they were transported to Earth in 2018.

Star Trek The Next Generation

Takes place in season 3 / 4 right after the battle of Wolf 359.

Dr. Crusher meets up with Captain Picard shortly after the events that made him Locutus. He was showing her around his brother’s vineyard in France, introducing her to his brother when the accident occurred and sent them to Earth 2018.

Supernatural

Takes place in Season 5 shortly before the accident with the hellhounds. 

Instead of hellhounds, Lucifer decides to go with a new plan. Destroy the planet naturally. With a snap of his fingers, three Super volcanoes become active. Sam and Dean have only a few precious hours before their world is changed forever. First Yellowstone, then Toba in Indonesia, then Taupo in New Zealand. One by one, these volcanoes erupt, causing massive destruction, global economies to collapse, and civilization to be reduced to anarchy. Within a few short months, after terrorist organizations take advantage of the situation by dropping nuclear bombs on Washington DC and London.

In retaliation for what Lucifer did, Michael launched an asteroid at Earth, the impact in the middle of the Atlantic caused devastating tsunamis in Africa and South America.

The planet is now locked in a seemingly eternal ice age caused by the triple effect of a volcanic winter and an impact winter.

Dean, Sam, Castiel, and Jo make their way to San Francisco, the peninsula is becoming a last stand against vampires, demons, and other creatures waiting to take advantage. The whole city has been warded against demons and angels and as such, Castiel has lost his grace.

Hannah: Hannah was among the angels loyal to heaven, but she also against the apocalypse. She defied heaven to undermine Michael’s efforts, as punishment, she was dropped from heaven and forced into Caroline Johnson’s body. Caroline, whose husband was killed in the eruptions, was struggling to survive in Montana. Hannah took control of her and made her way to San Francisco.

Eileen: Eileen Leahy had already been in San Francisco when the disaster occurred. She’d arrived from Dublin to finish her studies on anthropology at San Francisco State. When the disaster occurred, she was stranded since airplanes can’t fly in volcanic debris.

Charlie: Finishing up her masters in tech in San Francisco, Charlie was also in the city when the disaster occurred. Proving to be resourceful in a crisis, she helped to use the city muni subway systems as refuge areas for displaced families.

Crowley: Crowley escaped with the Winchesters when Lucifer set of the eruptions. He loses his powers and becomes stranded with them.

Meg: Meg was supposed to send the hellhounds after the Winchesters but when she failed, Lucifer banished her and she became a rogue. Reluctantly, she was forced to join forces with the Winchesters.

X-files

Takes place in between season 5 and 6 right after the events of the movie.

After returning from their event in Antarctica, Mulder and Scully are in Washington when a nuclear bomb caused them to evacuate, barely escaping with their lives. They made it across the country to San Francisco.

Buffy the Vampire Slayer

Takes place shortly after Sunnydale is destroyed at the end of season 7.

After the scoobies separate, the eruptions occur and Buffy and Willow make their way to Los Angeles to team up with Angel who then goes with them to San Francisco.

Hobbit

Takes place after the battle of the five armies

When Fili and Kili are separated from the rest of the company and left to fend for themselves in Laketown while the dragon pummels the defenseless town on the lake. Fili and Kili are dealt an additional blow while, during their attempt to escape with Tauriel and the others, the brothers are separated and stranded in the town. The disaster occurs and Fili and Kili are transported to a new world- modern earth 2018 in San Francisco.

Asphodel: Asphodel Cheesewillow is a typical hobbit who, while on holiday with her parents, is separated and lost in the Old Forest. She is transported to Earth.

Brenna Norrsken: Brenna is a gnome from the far north of the Forodwaiths. Her particular race of gnomes are female dominated and she and her mother were part of a whaling crew. During a particularly difficult battle with a whale, Brenna is thrown overboard and then transported.

Seasons 1-7: Is all about them surviving in the new world created by the disasters. The 24 of them have banded together in San Francisco, along with a group of refugees. All around their little peninsula are extreme dangers. In the rest of the world, vampires, werewolves, demons, angels, and other beings have taken over. Michael dominates parts of the planet while Lucifer dominates other parts.
