All hail the gif God!! I swear your gifs ALWAYS leave me mind-blown. Also shout out to you and your koisenu futari gifs for making me realize that i might be assexual and that that it's okay. I related so much, so thank you. So, if you don't mind me asking, how the f*ck do you keep the skin color intact in your colored gif edits (like the todd one or the patpran purple one)? I swear that i can't figure out how your brain does such things. Thank you for existence, your making us all a favor 😊

that's usually what takes me a lot of time when it comes to giffing, because obviously when you use channel mixer the skin colour becomes unnatural (sometimes very unnatural) so i mostly play around with selective colours on the natural section and colour balance. the skin colour was what really took my time for the todd one, hence why in my tags i mention it might be too red (also didn't help with the original scene colouring the scene was tinted very yellow) but yeah selective colour is my best friend 😂 i always compare my colouring to what the colouring of the original scene is to make sure my version isn't (more in most cases) whitewashed than the original & looks natural (this can be more difficult if there's more than one person in the scene, which can be seen in a few of my baker boys gifsets since everyone has different skin tones)

honestly it's all trial and error especially since i'm still getting adjusted to photopea as well as giffing again after 2 years so a lot of stuff i'm relearning as i go. a lot of my colourings always happen by accident because i'm just playing around trying to get things to look more natural or sorting out something else 😂 Blue & purple are my favourite colours hence why i always lean towards giffing those colours 😂 if i don't use blue or purple the reason is 99% of the time because the blue or purple didn't work well so i used another colour to match the backgrounds or whatever colour is prominently in the scene originally
