Protective Plastic
Description: Everyone in North Shore knows that Reader and the Plastics are in a polyamorous relationship. Guys still make nasty comments about them. Reader has a very short temper. It breaks at a party after Shane tries to corner Regina.
WARNINGS: mentions of blood, fighting, injury, alcohol consumption, minor weed consumption, the plastics being soft for their girl.
Everyone thank @yungpoetfics for inspiring me to write this.
Bubs. Thank you for rambling about mean girls with me and fueling my ideas! I luv u!
The party at Jake's was in full swing by the time Y/N pulled up to the house. She sighed before parking near the familiar jeep. She turned her car off and grabbed the pre-rolled joints she brought and got out of her car.
She had promised her girlfriends that she would come to the party. She didn't want to, she'd rather be at home smoking and enjoying her Friday night but her girlfriends gave her those damn puppy eyes and she couldn't resist.
She trudged up the front yard, passing a few passed out teenagers as she walked into the house.
The music was blasting and Y/N could already not hear herself think. All she wanted to do was find her girlfriends, but with the amount of people in the house, it was going to take forever. So, she grabbed herself a beer and headed out to the backyard where everyone was smoking or quietly talking amongst themselves.
She pulled out her phone to text the girls where she was so they could find her. She put the phone back in her pocket and pulled out her lighter and one of the joints.
She lit the joint and took a pull as Karen made her way out of the house. The girl scanned the yard before her eyes landed on Y/N. She lit up and walked over to Y/N, plopping herself in the girl's lap.
"Hi baby!" Y/N kissed Karen and smiled, offering the joint to the girl, who excitedly took it and took a pull. "You look so pretty, angel. How is your night going?" Karen blushed and handed the joint back to her girlfriend.
"Much better now that you're here! Gretchen and I were dancing a lot and Regina even joined us." Y/N smiled. As if she was summoned, Gretchen came out the back door, instantly seeing her girls and quickly walking over to them.
"Corazón!" Y/N smiled brightly at the girl as she sat down next to her, gently guiding her into a bruising kiss. Y/N moaned into it as Gretchen slid her tongue into her mouth. The two made out for a minute before pulling away.
Y/N looked at Gretchen with a smirk on her face. "Where did that come from?" Gretchen smirked back. "I've missed you, amor." Y/N smiled and pecked her lips. "I missed you too. Where's Gina?"
Gretchen motioned for the joint. "She's getting us drinks. She'll be out in a minute." Y/N nodded and continued talking to her girls as they passed the joint around. By the time the joint was finished, Regina still hadn't come out.
Y/N decided to go check on the blonde, handing the second joint to Karen and Gretchen along with her lighter, before venturing into the house. She searched the living room where everyone was dancing, not seeing Regina and headed to the kitchen.
What she saw made her see red and her blood boil.
Regina looked very uncomfortable as she was pressed up to the counter by none other than Shane Oman.
Y/N stormed over to where her girlfriend was and cleared her throat. Regina looked relieved to see her girlfriend as Shane turned around annoyed. "I think my girlfriend wants you to leave her alone, Shane."
The boy looked at Y/N annoyed. "Was I asking you, Y/N? No. Let Regina talk for herself." He turned back to the blonde and Y/N grabbed his shoulder to turn him once again.
"I don't care if you were asking me or not, she isn't interested." Shane glared at the girl before smirking. "Oh, I see. You wanna play hero. It's not going to end well for you. So back off." Y/N shoved him. "Shut up, Oman. You're just jealous my silicone dick is bigger than your actual dick."
Shane snapped and swung, connecting with Y/N's cheek. Regina gasped as Y/N recovered quite quickly before throwing herself at the boy.
Fists were wild flying as the two tussled on the ground. A crowd had formed and people were recording. Regina was screaming at the two to stop, trying to get someone to help her.
Shane had the upper hand, he had Y/N pinned down and was raining punches down on her face. Y/N had a major cut above her eyebrow and her nose was bleeding. She managed to get a knee up and knee the boy in the back, quickly getting the upper hand back.
At this point, Karen and Gretchen had ran back in the house and caught a glimpse of the chaos unfolding. Y/N managed to get a few good hits on Shane before she was pulled off by Aaron.
The two were a mess, blood all over their faces and knuckles. The girls automatically went to Y/N, immediately fussing over her as Shane was getting held back by a couple of football players. Jake had made his way to the commotion, breaking up the crowd and kicking Shane out.
He apologized to the girls for Shane before taking his leave. Regina stood in front of Y/N as she leaned back on the counter for support. Her girlfriends stood in front of her, assessing her injuries as the girl swayed. "We have to get her home. Gretchen, can you drive her car to my house?"
As the four made it back to Regina's house, Regina and Karen helped Y/N out of the Jeep, Gretchen coming to help. The three guided Y/N to Regina's room, before letting her lay down on the huge bed. The three sprung into action, Karen grabbing water and a snack for Y/N, Gretchen grabbing clothes, and Regina grabbing the first aid kit out of her bathroom.
Regina decided to clean Y/N up before she got changed and she pulled out alcohol pads, Y/N immediately cringing. Regina smiled at the girl. "Baby. I know you hate it, but I don't need that cut to get infected. It's gonna sting."
Gretchen and Karen held Y/n's hands as Regina cleaned her face up. Y/N hissed in pain as Regina gently wiped the cuts. Gretchen and Karen decided to take the time to clean Y/N's hands, gently wiping the dried blood off.
After the girls were done, they helped Y/N change before changing themselves and sandwiched Y/N in bed. Y/N laid in-between Karen and Gretchen who ran their fingers through her hair. Regina was spooning Karen and also holding Y/N's hand, gently rubbing her bruised knuckles with her thumb.
"Thank you for protecting me tonight, Y/N. I really appreciate it, baby." Y/N squeezed the blonde's hand. "Anything for you baby. I'd do anything for all three of you."
The girls voiced their gratitude and gently lulled Y/N to sleep, exhausted from the chaos.

𝐂𝐨𝐦𝐞 𝐛𝐚𝐛𝐞, 𝐥𝐞𝐭 𝐥𝐨𝐯𝐞 𝐡𝐚𝐬 𝐭𝐡𝐢𝐬 𝐞𝐯𝐞𝐧𝐢𝐧𝐠
pairing: carlos sainz jr & fiance!reader
request: Carlos x reader trying to have a baby, but after some failure, during the summer break with all of his family in Mallorca they got the big news (baby Carlos is comingg). After a year they come back to the summer house, as a parents, dealing with baby Carlos, with his sister and his mother🥹 (can you make this angst at the begging)
The summer sun hung low over the horizon, casting a warm, golden hue across the picturesque landscape of Mallorca. Carlos and you stood by the balcony, gazing out at the tranquil waves below. The sea breeze ruffled your hair, a gentle reminder of the passage of time.
It had been a journey of hope and heartache, a story that had begun with dreams of parenthood. But those dreams had been met with silence, punctuated by the bitter sting of failure. The two of you had weathered the storm, your love growing stronger with each setback. Yet, the emptiness lingered, a void that seemed insurmountable.
Amidst the laughter of Carlos' family echoing through the summer house, your heart ached in secret. His sister's children played by the shore, their innocent giggles a painful reminder of what you longed for.
One evening, as the sun dipped below the horizon in a blaze of oranges and pinks, you found yourselves alone on the balcony. Carlos turned to you, his eyes filled with a mixture of sorrow and determination.
"We can't keep letting this consume us," he whispered, his voice laced with vulnerability. "I want this more than anything, but I also want us to be okay, no matter what."
You nodded, tears glistening in your eyes. "I know. It's just... hard, Carlos."
"I know, mi amor," he said, wrapping his arms around you. "But let's make a promise, right here, right now. We won't let this define us. We'll find happiness in each other, in the love we share."
"I thought this summer would be different," you whispered, your voice breaking with emotion.
Carlos nodded, unable to find the words to comfort you. His own frustration and sadness mirrored yours. You've had dreamed of starting a family together, and yet, fate seemed to conspire against you almost like it hated you, it hated you were together and happy.
That summer indeed was different. When you woke up one day to check the situation, the test result was different from the other times, and you wondered if you were still dreaming or if it was a cruel joke played on you and Carlos. The test was positive - two lines on it. You didn't know what to do or how to react.
"Carlos, can you come here for a second?" you called out, beckoning your fiancé to join you.
Your fiancé made his way into the bathroom of your room, his eyes still sleepy with morning hair. You didn't want to wake him up, but you had to, you really had to. You didn't say anything, leaving him even more curious, standing there in his boxers with sleepy eyes.
"Is everything okay, querida? Are you okay? Did you get your period? You know it's okay, we've talked about this," he said, not expecting the situation to be different from the other times.
"No, Carlos"
"Did you hurt yourself? ¿Estás bien?"
"No, Carlos, look—" You said, showing him the test you had been holding in your hand for the past five minutes he was there. His eyes wandered on the test for more than 10 seconds, maybe as if he was trying to comprehend the situation or trying to understand if he was seeing it correctly.
"You're pregnant, querida? When did you take this? Oh, I can't believe it," he said. His sleepy eyes widened with the news. His hands were placed at the sides of your waist while you were sitting on the bathroom sink, looking at the test with a beautiful smile.
"I took it this morning. I hadn't thought that I'd be actually pregnant this time," you said with obvious disbelief. His hands covered your torso while you were sitting on the sink, wiggling your feet happily.
"You've been wanting it from the bottom of your heart, mi corazón. We've been wanting it actually," he said, cupping your cheeks to leave a happy and relieved kiss on your lips after a long time. Your hands cupped his freshly shaved cheeks, breathing slowly.
"I am so happy, Carlos," you said, your thumbs drawing circles on his cheeks slowly.
"Me too, querida, me too."
Sainzs took the news more excited than ever, actually Reyes did even cry while hugging at you. Then she admitted it in the dinner, she was so happy for the baby but she was happier for you, she hated to see you sad, she loved your energy the most.
The next summer, the visit to Mallorca was quite different from the other times. Your baby boy, Antonio, was cradled in your husband's arms - you and Carlos had decided to get married just after you received the news. As you entered the house, big smiles and even happy tears greeted you. Reyes kissed your cheeks once again to show how proud she was of you, and how strong you had been. Carlos's father took his grandchildren, who was named after his recently passed away father, in his arms and placed a good luck kiss on Antonio's forehead before whispering the words.
''Bienvenido a nuestra familia, Antonio.''
Carlos tightened his hold on your waist before leaving a kiss on the crown of your head.
''I am so proud of you, querida. Te amo.''
''It wouldn't be possible if it weren't for you, Carlos. Te amo, forever.''

═══════════════════════════════════════════════════════
The warning sign at the beach that read ‘beware of sharks in all capital letters should have served as warning for what you were about to get yourself into.
Living in a seaside town has always had its perks. Sandy beaches to visit in the summers, the smell of salt that you’d come to love, boating, all the seafood you could want among them. It was almost like your own personal paradise.
The one drawback was the shark population that increased at the end of summer which drove away the rest of the tourism for the season. You weren’t mad about it. After all, the ocean was home to all marine animals, sharks included. As a biologist, you knew each animal had its own purpose and was beneficial to the ecosystem, especially sharks.
So despite the danger, you never missed an opportunity to dive when the weather allowed. Of course, you chose night time for your dives.
Night was perfect as the animals weren’t as active without the sunlight.
Your dive for the night had taken you to a rocky part of the shore where you knew caves would be. The caves along the shore were always hard to reach and most of them only had underwater entrances.
You’d explored a fair share of them since moving to this town but there were many more you wanted to explore and see what kind of life you could find.
This excursion was like any other, you’d made a plan with the local coast guard as well as letting your contact in town know when, where, and how long you’d be. It was a standard procedure which had become routine for you.
You had taken out your boat and anchored it just off shore and near what you assumed was the opening to another cave before suiting up and jumping into the water. The water was cool enough in the summer months but in the fall it was almost freezing, making you grateful for the wetsuit you wore no matter the temperature. Making sure your mask was secure you slowly sank into the water, turning on and shining your light towards the bottom of the rocks.
An opening was visible at the base and you carefully made your way down, inspecting the opening before starting inside. You’d explored many of these caves before, you knew the procedure and the caves never scared you. To some, caving was one thing but to do so underwater was an entirely different beast. To you, it was almost second nature.
As you continued forward, you scanned the walls of the cave, taking note of the coral, algae, and other life that had taken root on the walls. It wasn’t uncommon to find life in places like this. Sea caves were often the home to unique and enclosed ecosystems.
As you gently propelled yourself forward, you noticed how the cave seemed to open up. As you reached the end you looked up and saw that the cave did indeed open up into a large cavern. Sand lined the bottom of the cavern, many coral reefs and other life taking up residence. You started to swim up, noticing the surface approaching rapidly.
You broke through the surface of the water and found that the cavern was much larger than you initially thought. Swimming over to the edge of the pool, you pulled yourself up and started to look around as you started to remove your mask.
It was a rounded cavern. The pool was about twenty feet in diameter but there was a rocky ledge where you were currently perched on and then the rocky floor continued for another twenty feet making the whole diameter of the cavern about forty feet. You pulled your mask off and set it down as you undid and shrugged off your oxygen tank.
“This is incredible,” you whispered to yourself as you removed your flippers and got up, starting to walk around the cavern and inspect the walls. There was a slight glitter to them as you shined your light. Not like they were wet but like some kind of diamond dust was embedded in the rock.
You looked straight above your head and noticed there was an almost perfect circular cut out in the cavern ceiling and moonlight was filtering through the hole. The moonlight hit the surface of the water and danced around the cavern.
As you were inspecting, you noticed something else.
The cave seemed inhabited. You noticed bones collected in a pile and an old fire pit. You wondered who might seek shelter in this cave when it was so close to the boardwalk but didn’t have time to dwell on it as you heard a large splash coming from the pool.
You made your way back over and cursed as you saw your mask and oxygen tank sinking to the bottom of the pool. “Shit,” you said softly and looked around. You hoped there might be a break in the rocks that would allow you to exit the cave instead of having to go back into the pool but you saw nothing.
You turned around on the spot, trying to figure out a way out of this but you saw nothing that could help. There was nothing you could use to reach the tank and mask which were now nestled at the bottom of the pool in the sand. “Fuck!” you cursed, your voice echoing off the wall.
You looked away from the pool when you heard a shift against the rock behind you.
Shining your light back, you saw nothing and chalked it up to nerves.
You turned back, eyes catching something dark in the pool below you before you felt something grab you and pull you into the pool.
You kicked and fought against whatever it was until it seemed to let go of you and you quickly swam to the surface, coughing once you broke through the surface. You tried to pull yourself up onto the rocky ledge but something grabbed your leg and tugged, pulling you off the wall and back into the water.
Just as quickly as it grabbed you, it let go.
You tried to shine your flashlight around but whatever it was moved too fast for you to get a good glimpse of it. In a desperate attempt to throw the animal off, you threw your flashlight away, turning back for the ledge at the light splashed a considerable distance away.
You hoped the splash would distract the animal enough for you to get away and it seemed to work as you scrambled up onto the rocky ledge before you pulled away and peered back at the still water’s surface. Your eyes scanned the area, looking for any kind of predator that could have been responsible.
Upon not seeing one, you looked down to inspect your arm and your ankle. Your skin was unbroken and mostly unscathed. There were slight imprints, almost like teeth or maybe even claws but no blood had been drawn.
A small splash caught your attention and you snapped your head up in time to see a ripple cross the surface of the water. Something had disturbed the water. You saw a dark shadow move near the bottom of the pool, only noticing it as it crossed in front of the beam of your flashlight.
You were being watched. Whatever had dragged you into the water knew you were there and it was circling the pool. Waiting. Hunting. Whatever it was was sentient enough to know it had you trapped. It knew the only way out of the cave was through the water and it would wait.
You should have been terrified. After all, it was hunting you but your curiosity wouldn’t be satisfied until you caught a glimpse of it. You had to know what it was.
Carefully, you approached the edge of the pool, eyes scanning the dark and catching a large shadow as it swam in circles. Not in an erratic or frenzied pattern but calmly. Almost… leisurely.
As you peered over the edge of the rocks, the shadow stopped circling and started to swim to the surface. You watched in awe as a dark smooth body broke through the surface before you saw the fin. A shark fin. ‘Of course it was a shark,’ you told yourself watching as the creature moved towards you.
You pulled back slightly as it drew closer and closer. You were well aware that some sharks were known for their breaching behavior, namely great whites. This was definitely not a great white shark. It was much darker. It could have been a tiger shark but tigers weren’t known for their aggressive behavior.
Bull sharks on the other hand were and though bull sharks hadn’t been spotted in the area in over 20 years, it wasn’t completely impossible.You drew back entirely, hoping the animal wouldn’t try to jump out of the water to reach you.
As it drew closer, you watched as it dove down with just precision that you were starting to wonder if it was a shark after all. Sharks weren’t known for diving so steeply. They were gradual divers. You leaned over the edge and lost sight of the shadow. Your eyes caught the flickering of your flashlight and you cursed as it went dark, the illumination you had now gone and only the light of the moon allowing you to see.
The water seemed to still as you looked around. Had it left? Was the animal gone? Your instincts told you it was still there, waiting for you to slip up before it took you at its latest meal.
Even though sharks didn’t go out of their way to eat humans, if one was hungry enough, it would stalk one and wait. Just like any other starving predator.
As you looked around, you saw bubbles just under where you were leaning over the water.
You glanced down and let out an ear piercing scream as the creature surfaced quickly, forcing you back as it breached and landed on top of you. You struggled to push it away, taking care to avoid the head and any potential bites.
As you struggled under the weight of the animal, you could have sworn you heard… laughter?
Your eyes popped open and you looked up, fear and shock mixing as you stared at the creature above you.
You were looking into the face of a man. Your shock and fear turned briefly into anger as you tried to make sense of the situation. Had it been a man this whole time? Some weird cave hermit that had been tormenting you and pretending to be a shark to scare you into leaving his home?
“You should see your face!” he said as his laughter grew. You narrowed your eyes and tried to sit up but it was then you noticed the lower half of his body and gasped.
From the waist up, he was human. Golden tan skin that blended into the dark blackish-blue of his shark-like tail. A… merman? Your eyes traveled back up to his face, taking in each and every detail bathed in moonlight. He wore around his neck a black cord necklace with shells and in the middle, a pendant made from a shark tooth.
You watched as he continued to laugh, sharp pointed teeth peeking out from his plush peachy lips.
“You humans are so much fun,” he said as his laughter subsided. His hands rested on the rock under you as he leaned over you, his slim waist positioned between your thighs as he smirked at you. Leaning slightly to the left, you looked over his body again. The dark blackish-blue faded into a pale grayish-blue on the ventricle side and the same grayish-blue stripes covered his back. The fin on his back was just past his waist and was a very typical shark-like fin.
His tail was also the trademark shark fin but it was more like a thresher tail with the top part of the fin longer. Your eyes traveled back up to his face, inspecting the ocean blue irises that stared back at you. “What the--” you trailed off, pushing yourself up, forcing the creature to back up.
“What are you?” you asked, voice full of caution and curiosity. You watched as the creature fell back into the water, disappearing below the surface before popping back up, fixing you with a playful stare. “You’re the scientist,” he noted. “You tell me.”
You stared at him blankly. How could you even expect to explain this? Explain him? His very existence had been disputed and debated for hundreds of years. Mermaids were the stuff of legend and folklore. They weren’t supposed to exist.
If that were the case however, how did you explain this? How did you explain the creature treading water before you? “It has to be some sort of suit,” you mumbled, looking at the shark-like body under the water. The creature scoffed. “It’s always ‘seeing is believing’ with you humans until something shows up and then it’s all ‘has to be fake.’ Do you ever believe anything?” he asked.
You looked up, examining his face. His soft features. Round cheeks, plush pouty lips that started to lift into a crooked smile, showing off his pointed teeth. “I believe in science,” you explained and he rolled his eyes. “But I also believe there are things science can’t explain,” you continued.
You started to lower yourself into the water and he immediately shied away. You held up your hand. “I’m not going to hurt you,” you said softly. You saw his eyes flit to the knife strapped to your thigh. You followed his gaze and quickly removed the weapon.
“For protection,” you replied, setting it on the rocks behind you and facing him. “In case something tries to take a bite out of me,” you added. His brow furrowed. “If you get bit, maybe you shouldn’t get in the water,” he replied and you nodded. “I’ve never been bit,” you answered. “I’ve gotten close, but the knife is a last resort,” you continued.
“You have your teeth and your claws,” you reminded him. “My teeth and nails are no match for shark skin,” you added. “If you aren’t a match, why do you enter the ring?” he asked, tilting his head slightly. A smile spread across your face. “Because I study marine life,” you replied.
“I’m a marine biologist.”
The creature tilted his head the opposite direction. “Are you here to study me?” he asked. You shrugged before answering. “Up until a few minutes ago, I didn’t even know you existed,” you answered, swimming a little closer. He watched you cautiously. “So you didn’t know this cave is my home?” he asked and you shook your head. “No, I had no idea.”
He studied you carefully.
“Are you… a merman?” you asked suddenly. His expression changed, amusement crossing his features as he laughed. “A merman?” he asked incredulously. “Nah,” he said, shaking his head. “Those pretty boys live safe and sound in their lairs, never venturing far from home,” he added.
You cocked your head to the side. “Pretty boys?” you asked. “Do you not think you’re pretty?”
Your question must have caught him off guard because he stopped smiling and stared at you, a slight pink hue reaching his cheeks. “N-no,” he answered finally. “I’m not.” You frowned at him. How could he not think he was? You found all sea life incredible beautiful but nothing you’d encountered before had made you think it was attractive and yet here he was before you.
“I think you’re pretty,” you replied. He stared at you, eyes widening. “Y-you do?” he asked softly, to which you nodded. “I think you’re very pretty,” you replied. He swam a little closer, inspecting your face. “So,” you said, breaking the silence. “If you aren’t a merman, what are you?”
He raised his gaze to meet yours, drawing it from your body under the water. “What do you think I am? Hmm, marine biologist?” he asked and you sighed, backing away from him and pulling yourself up onto the rock. “Sorry,” you said as you situated yourself. “My legs were getting tired.”
He watched as you massaged your calves. “I can only tread water for so long.”
“In my experience,” you started. “I’ve never seen anything like you,” you continued. “The shark part is unlike any species I’ve ever seen. It’s like an amalgamation of tiger and thresher sharks,” you noted. He smiled, showing off his pointy teeth as he swam closer. “So you’re saying I’m unique?” he asked.
You nodded as he drew closer. “Unique and otherworldly,” you added. “I’ve never seen anything like it.” He pulled himself back up, leaning over your frame. “You’ve never seen anything like me?” You shook your head again. “Never,” you replied.
Silence fell over the two of you as you stared at one another. His dark hair had started to dry a bit, the ends of his bangs falling into his eyes. “What do you call yourself?” you asked, tilting your head to the right. He smiled, mimicking your movement. “Jisung,” he replied. “My name is Jisung.”
“Jisung,” you repeated. He leaned in, eyes watching your lips as you spoke. “I like the way you say my name,” he whispered. You could feel your heart rate kicking up as he leaned closer. ‘What is he doing?’ You stared back as his eyes moved up to meet your gaze. “What is your name?” he asked just as softly as before.
You froze. He was asking your name? Should you tell him? It’s not like he was going to look you up or something. You then wondered if you should tell any kind of sentient creature your name. Didn’t that give them power over you or something? You must have taken longer than he expected because he smirked at you.
“What’s the matter? Shark got your tongue?” he asked, amused by his own joke.
Your facade broke and you smiled. “Y/N,” you finally answered. “I’m Y/N.” Jisung smiled back, a genuine smile. “It’s nice to meet you, Y/N,” he replied, lowering back into the water and staring up at you.
“Likewise,” you replied.
After meeting Jisung that night, you promised to come back. And came back you did.
You managed to gain his trust enough to draw a small vial of blood, and take a couple pictures mainly of his tail and markings. You promised to keep his existence a secret, making sure all your research on him was done at home and that you kept everything under wraps.
A few days turned into a week and you came back almost every night, getting to know Jisung and more about his existence. You learned that he wasn’t a merman, like he had said. He was a samebito. He had explained that it was similar to a merman but different folklore and legends.
A week and a half had passed since you first met Jisung and you were currently sitting on the edge of the boat, writing in your notebook, going over your notes before suiting up and jumping in the water.
A splash caught your attention and you glanced up. You weren’t sure why you even looked, it was night time and you couldn’t even see the water except near your boat. You grabbed the spotlight, flipping it on and turning it slowly until something came into view and you sighed.
“Someone’s impatient,” you chuckled, letting go of the light and returning to your notes as Jisung swam over to your boat. “I got lonely,” he said softly as he reached the end of your boat. He quickly pulled himself up to sit on the side of the boat near you.
“What’re you writing?” he asked, leaning over to see your notebook. “Just some notes,” you mumbled, finishing up your notes and closing the notebook quickly, and setting it aside. You turned to look at him and your smile fell upon seeing the fresh scar on his shoulder.
“What happened here?” you asked, voice laced with concern as you scooted closer.
He glanced down and let out a chuckle. “Oh,” he said softly. “I got a little too close to a shark feed ground,” he continued. “I’ll heal pretty quickly,” he added as you inspected the wound. “I was hunting and got in the way,” he admitted with a sheepish smile.
“Have you eaten?” you asked, looking up at him. He met your gaze and hesitated. “What?” he asked and watched as you got up and walked over to the opposite side of the boat, lifting one of the seats and reached in to pull out one of the fish you’d caught earlier.
“Here,” you said, holding it up. “I mean,” you added, turning your head to look at the fish. “I could cook it,” you said softly. Jisung smiled and chuckled. “Did you catch that for me?” he asked as you walked over, holding the fish up. You nodded. “There’s more in the cooler,” you added.
Jisung chuckled and shook his head. “It’s okay,” he said with a smile. “I’ve eaten,” he explained, taking the fish from you. “I don’t want to gross you out,” he added as he inspected it. “Oh,” you said dejectedly. Jisung looked up and handed the fish back. “Just keep it on ice for a little while longer and sell it if you don’t eat fish,” he said softly.
You took the fish and took it back to the cooler, closing it and placing the seat down before heading back and sitting back down. “So when did this happen?” you asked, nodding at his shoulder. He glanced down again as he thought.
“Oh, maybe like a couple hours ago,” he replied and your eyes widened in shock. “Wait, really?” you asked and he nodded, looking confused at your shock. “Yeah, I heal pretty quickly,” he added with a laugh. You leaned forward, reaching up to brush your fingers against his skin.
“Weird,” you murmured, making him throw his head back with a laugh. “Sorry,” you said sheepishly. Jisung shook his head. “It’s okay,” he replied. “Like you said, you’ve never met anyone like me.” You chuckled, nodding. “That’s true,” you added.
Silence fell over the two of you as you looked up at the sky, the waves lapping at the sides of the boat and a gentle breeze blowing through the air. You looked over at Jisung to find him already looking at you, a calm expression on his face.
“What?” you asked softly and he shook his head, a smile spreading across his face. “Nothing,” he answered. “Oh!” he said quickly sitting up. “I found something really cool while out the other night!” he said and turned towards you.
“Wanna see it?” he asked. You nodded, feeling excited. “Where are we going?” you asked, getting up and starting to strip to your bikini, not noticing the way Jisung’s eyes followed your movement and body. You moved to grab your wetsuit.
Jisung waited patiently for you to pull it on. “Jump in,” Jisung said, looking at the water and you looked at the water. “We’re swimming there?” you asked, making him chuckle. “It’s not far,” he answered. “It’s worth it, I promise.” You narrowed your eyes at him.
“Come on, Y/N,” he groaned. “Live a little,” he added with a wink before rolling towards the edge of the boat and diving into the water. You sighed and grabbed your boat keys, pulling the elastic over your wrist and walking over to the light, shutting it off the light and heading to the bow of the boat, grabbing your flashlight and snorkel mask.
As you reached the back, you turned the light on to see Jisung was floating, waiting for you. “Where are we going?” you asked as you held the flashlight between your knees as you pulled the mask on. “Not far,” Jisung said as you grabbed the flashlight and climbed down the ladder, joining him in the water.
Jisung took your hand and gently pulled you along. “Come here,” he said softly. “Hold on,” he added, guiding your arms around his neck. “Are you sure?” you asked, softly, cheeks burning as you looked at him so closely. He turned his head to look at you, his own cheeks turning soft pink.
“Uh,” yeah,” he said softly. “Just try not to get under me,” he added.
It felt weird, hanging off him from behind as he started swimming. It almost felt like you were riding a shark, the trashing as he started off but soon turned into a smooth motion as he zipped through the water, propelled only by the powerful tail.
Jisung was careful to stay near the surface so you didn’t have to hold your breath with the mask. You could tell he was holding back, not swimming as fast as you knew he could go. You’d seen him zipping through the water before, breaching the surface at speeds you suspected most sharks could reach.
This was much slower than you’d witnessed.
Jisung started to slow, lifting his head out of the water. As he came to a stop, you slid from his back, reaching up to remove your snorkel mask. “We’re almost there,” he said, looking up at the stars overhead. You glanced skyward, letting out a soft gasp.
“Wow,” you whispered. Jisung chuckled, grabbing your hand gently. “Come on,” he said quietly, tugging you through the water towards the rocky beach. “I’ve seen these rocks when visiting you,” you commented as he led you towards them. “You’ll need your goggles for this,” he said, turning to look back at you. As soon as the words left his lips, you pulled them back on, dumping any water out of them.
“Now what?” you asked as he took your hand again. “Hold your breath,” he instructed. You took a deep breath and allowed him to pull you under the water, leading you down towards a cave opening. It wasn’t unlike the entrance to his cave; only this one was much narrower.
The cave opening seemed to go on forever, winding around as you let Jisung pull you. Your lungs were starting to burn and you knew if you didn’t hurry, you’d start to suffocate. Finally, Jisung pulled you free from the narrow cave into a much larger one and pushed you towards the surface.
You kicked towards the surface of the pool, breaching at the same time he did. Jisung floated near as you coughed, allowing air to fill your lungs again, the taste of salt on your tongue. “I had no idea there were so many of these,” you gasped. “How many are there?”
Jisung chuckled, taking your hand. “Come,” he said simply, pulling you through the water. The inside of this cave was much different than his. Instead of a single round chamber, there were multiple round chambers, connected together.
Jisung pulled you along into the next chamber until you reached the last one. “Through there,” he nodded towards a window in the rock wall. “This is so cool,” you commented as you swam over, pulling yourself up to peer out.
It was then that you saw it.
Jisung pulled himself up next to you, a wide grin on his face. “Wow,” you whispered. “Cool, huh?” he asked, resting his chin on his forearm.
Outside the cave was more stretch of ocean, waves rolling up onto a sandy beach. There was only about twenty feet between the beach and the treeline behind it and the beach stretched for about fifty feet between two rocky bluffs.
All along the beach, rolling in the waves were glowing blue lights. “Bioluminescent plankton,” you whispered. “They come here every night to feed,” he whispered. “It’s pretty cool, with the stars and the lights,” he continued.
You turned to look at him.
“This little alcove is remote,” he explained. “Human’s haven’t started colonizing it,” he added. “I think it might be privately owned,” he continued. You glanced at him before looking back at the beach. “I hope it stays like this,” you whispered, also resting your chin on your forearm.
You sat in silence, watching the lights dance in the waves. You could feel Jisung’s eyes on you and you turned to look at him, your cheeks burning. You watched his eyes flit between your eyes and your lips before he slowly moved. He lifted his hand, moving it to cup your face, thumb tracing the curve of your cheek.
Your heart started to hammer in your chest as he leaned closer. At that moment, a shrill laugh rang out from the direction of the trees. Jisung pulled back abruptly and you turned away from his gaze to look at the beach as a beam of light bounced along the sand.
“Teenagers,” you whispered as a group of teens came out of the woods, giggling as they descended on the shore. Jisung scoffed as he watched them. “Ungrateful little shits.” You snorted into a laugh. “Come on,” you said softly. “Before they decide to come into the water and find this cave with us inside.”
Jisung allowed you to lead him away, back through the cave. You pulled your mask back on, taking another deep breath and letting Jisung pull you through the narrow opening and back into the open ocean. You took your time swimming back, only hitching a ride when your legs gave out.
Back at the boat, Jisung watched you climb up the ladder and pulled himself up on the side again, watching as you disappeared into the cabin. In the privacy of your boat, you stripped and dried off, pulling on dry clothes and running a towel haphazardly over your hair before returning to Jisung.
His hair had started to dry as he lounged on the side of the boat, his tail hanging down the side of the vessel. You chuckled, turning on the lights of the boat and Jisung opened one eye to look at you. “Are you gonna sleep there?” you asked as you walked over, taking a seat on the cushion below where he was lounging.
He propped himself up, looking down at you. “What happened back there,” he started, his voice taking on a more serious tone. You looked away, feeling a sour taste bubbling up from your stomach. ‘He wants to forget it,’ you told yourself.
“It’s fine,” you interrupted. “It can’t happen, I know,” you added. You refused to look up at him so you missed the way his brows knitted together as he stared at you, a slight pout on his lips. “That’s what you’re going to say, right?” you asked when he didn’t answer.
“I’m a human and you’re not. So we can’t.”
You felt his fingers move under your chin, turning and tilting your head to face him. “Stop jumping to conclusions,” he said sternly before leaning in and closing the distance, pressing his lips against yours. For a split second, you panicked before accepting the gesture and melting into the kiss.
You whined as he started to pull back. You pulled him back in by the back of his neck, kissing him more fiercely. Jisung accepted your advances, lips parting as he took back control, his tongue slipping into your mouth. You pulled him closer, leaning back onto the cushions and forcing him to follow your movements.
Jisung groaned into the kiss and pulled back quickly. “Wait,” he gasped. “Sorry,” you whispered as he pushed himself up. “It’s okay,” he murmured. “Just give me a second.” You sat up as he pulled back, taking a few deep breaths. “Things were getting a little intense,” he admitted.
You smiled shyly. “Sorry,” you replied. “I got a little excited I guess,” you added, shrugging. Jisung chuckled, running a hand through his hair. “That’s okay,” he answered. “I did, too,” he admitted with a grin. “It happened really fast. I’m sorry if I crossed a line,” he continued.
You shook your head, pulling your knees up and resting your head against the backrest of the seat. “It’s okay,” you said softly, looking up at him in the lights of the boat. “I wanted it.” Jisung nibbled on his bottom lip nervously. “You did?” he asked, his voice sounding optimistic.
You nodded. “I did,” you reassured him. “You didn’t cross a line.”
“That’s a relief.”
Silence fell over you as you watched him and he watched you for a while. You weren’t sure how much time had passed before you spoke. “Do you ever get scared?” you asked him. He tilted his head curiously. “Scare?” he asked. “Of what?”
“The town? Fishermen? Being discovered?”
Jisung hesitated, no doubt pondering his answer. “Sometimes,” he answered finally. “I guess I haven’t really thought about it but I like being left alone,” he said, smiling before speaking. “Well, mostly alone,” he added. “I just want to live my life like most creatures.”
“Have you ever been spotted before?” you asked and he smiled wider. “You tell me? Heard any stories?” you snorted as you realized what he was hinting at. “No, thankfully,” you replied. Jisung chuckled at your response. “There you have it. Safe and undiscovered except by you.”
He leaned closer, brushing his lips against yours before pressing a chaste kiss to your lips. Your cheeks heated up again. You could feel the heat spread all the way down to your core and you tried not to focus on the feeling lingering in your stomach. Jisung noticed a shift in your demeanor and tilted his head.
“You okay?” he asked softly, moving his hand to caress your cheek, thumb brushing over your bottom lip. You nodded wordlessly. “Yeah,” you answered. “I’m great,” you lied. “But it’s getting late,” you commented. “I should probably head out.”
You got up, Jisung sitting up and watching as you did. “Hey,” he called softly, reaching out for your hand. You allowed him to take hold of it and pull you closer. “I have to go hunting tomorrow but I’ll see you after, yeah?” he asked. You nodded, leaning in to press your forehead against his.
“Goodnight,” you said softly. Jisung pulled you in, placing a tender kiss against your lips.
“Goodnight,” he whispered. You watched as he dove off the side of the boat and into the water with a splash, only surfacing to look up at you. You waved at him as he stared up at you.
“See you tomorrow!” he called before disappearing below the surface, no doubt heading into his cave.
“See you tomorrow,” you whispered.
Only you didn’t see him the next day. Or the day after that. You couldn’t bring yourself to face him.
The night after Jisung took you to see the bioluminescent plankton and kissed you, your dreams were plagued with him. They started innocently, spending time exploring the caves but they soon took a turn and you were starting to have inappropriate thoughts and dreams about him.
Things you should definitely not be thinking about.
The dreams only escalated after that and soon you were dreaming about him showing up in your home, shark tail gone and replaced with human legs.
It was starting to get out of hand.
You hadn’t been back to see Jisung in almost a week and you were feeling guilty not only for disappearing but also for having continuous wet dreams about him. How were you supposed to look him in the eye when all you could think about was him pinning you down and having his way with you?
You knew sooner or later, you’d have to go back out there. You couldn’t just not ever come back. You at least needed to explain to him why you’d been avoiding him and avoiding coming back.
The final push came when you were at the market, looking at some cuts of steak for dinner when you overheard a conversation at the next stall over.
“You’re so full of shit, Paul,” a woman said, shaking her head as she continued crocheting. “No I’m not!” the man you presumed was Paul replied. “I saw it! Looked like a great big tiger shark but it had the upper body of a man!”
You froze, eyes widening as you inspected a particular cut of steak. ‘Jisung?’
“And where did you see this mermaid?” another man asked, laughing. “Near the pier! I was doing some fishing off the end when I spotted it! Was huge! Like ten feet long!” You felt your heart start to pound as you forced a smile and pointed out two steaks.
The stall owner packaged them up for you. “Thanks,” you murmured, handing over a few notes to pay for the meat as the conversation beside you carried on.
“I swear, I saw it!”
You walked away as the others around the man laughed and waved their hands, dismissing his claims. Upon returning home, your mind was made up for you as you entered your kitchen, making one of the steaks for yourself and saving the other. You wonder if Jisung had ever had steak before.
After dinner, you packed your stuff, grabbing your bikini and house keys. You stopped and grabbed the steak from the fridge and headed out of the house, locking up and walking towards the marina, bag slung over your shoulder.
You ignored the night beach goers enjoying bonfires as you headed for the docks. Once on your boat, you casted off, backing your boat out and driving out towards the caves where you knew Jisung had taken up residence.
You reached the rocks in record time, casting your anchor and moving to lower the microphone in the water. You normally didn’t have to use it but you figured after a week, you might need to use it to draw Jisung out.
You turned the dial, starting the dolphin call and sat on one of the seats.
You waited patiently, arms crossed over your chest before you got up and headed into the cabin, changing out of your clothes and into your bikini and then pulling on the wetsuit. As you exited the cabin you heard a splash and looked up to see Jisung perched on the side of your boat staring at you.
There was no smile nor greeting. He merely stared at you blankly.
Neither of you said anything as you stared at one another. Finally Jisung spoke.
“What?” he asked shortly. You crossed to the cooler, lifting the seat and opening the cooler lid. You pulled out the steak and held it up to show him. “Ever had beef?” you asked. Jisung narrowed his eyes. “That’s all you have to say?” he asked. You tore open the brown paper and removed the plastic, holding up the steak.
“Have you ever had steak?”
He glared at you. “Is this some kind of test?” he asked. You shook your head, walking over to where he was and climbed up to sit next to him. “No,” you replied. “I was at the market earlier and got steak,” you explained. He stared at you, glancing down at the meat and back up.
“And this is relevant, how?” he asked. He was clearly upset at you and you couldn’t fault him. You disappeared after he’d kissed you. You presented the steak. “How about you eat and I’ll talk, hmm?” you asked. He looked up at you hesitantly before he nodded.
You handed him the steak to inspect. “You said it’s beef?” he asked. You nodded as he raised it to sniff. “Cow,” you added. “It’s actually a really tender cut,” you continued. “I cooked the other one earlier and ate it for dinner.”
You turned away as he nibbled at the end of the steak. “I also heard an interesting story at the market when I was buying this steak,” you explained. “One of the guys there, a local fisherman. name’s Paul,” you said, glancing at him.
“Well, Paul told everyone in his vicinity that he’d seen something out on the pier while fishing this morning,” you continued, noticing how Jisung’ gaze flickered to you. “Said he’d seen something… strange.” Jisung lowered the partially eaten steak.
“Said it was huge. Looked like a massive tiger shark,” you continued as Jisung stared unblinkingly at you. “Said it had the torso of a man.” Realization dawned on his face as you spoke. “I was spotted?” he asked and you sighed. “What were you doing at the pier in broad daylight?” you asked.
Jisung looked away from you and down at the meat. “I went looking for you,” he admitted. Your heart skipped a beat. “Why?” you asked softly. “Because you vanished,” he replied, looking up at you. “I haven’t seen you for a week!”
Your stomach sank. It was as you feared. “I’m sorry,” you said softly as he ripped the steak apart with his hands. “I was dealing with some things,” you added as he tore into one of the pieces. You watched as he chewed the raw meat and swallowed. “Are you okay now?” he asked.
You nodded. “For the most part,” you added. “I’m still… dealing,” you admitted. Jisung devoured the last of the steak and looked at you. “Do you have any more of that?” he asked, sniffing the air. You chuckled and shook your head. “No,” you replied. “Just the one.”
He pouted. “That was really good,” he murmured, looking disappointed. He perked up quickly. “You’re here though,” he added and you nodded. “I know,” you replied. “And I’m sorry I was gone.” He shook his head and nodded towards the water. “I have something to show you, come on!” he said and before you could answer, he rolled off the boat with a splash into the water below.
Sighing you grabbed your snorkel mask and turned off the boat lights, making sure to grab your keys and the ankle flashlight. Once you were equipped, you climbed down the ladder and into the water with a splash. Making sure the mask was secure, you ducked your head.
You could see Jisung swimming near the opening to his cave. Once he was certain you spotted him, he slipped into the narrow opening and you took a deep breath before following, removing the mouth piece of your snorkel.
You pulled yourself into the opening and followed the path to the interior chamber, kicking toward the surface. Jisung was sitting on the ledge of the pool and you moved over to join him, pulling the mask off and setting it aside.
“What did you wanna show me?” you asked as you pulled yourself up. Jisung held up his hand, showing you a collection of shells. “Scallops,” you muttered, picking up one of the shells. “And this,” he added, showing you an intact clam.
“It already died,” he explained as he carefully pried it open with his nails. “But this is what I really wanted to show you,” he explained as he picked up something small and round and handed it over, placing it in your palm. It was a pearl.
“It’s so pretty,” you breathed, holding the pearl closer. Jisung smiled before he slipped into the water. “I have one more thing to show you,” he added and disappeared under the water, diving down to the bottom of the pool.
He resurfaced moments later and swam closer, holding up something small, smooth, and purple. “Sea glass,” he said as you took the smooth stone-like material. “I see this stuff all the time,” he explained as he rested his chin on your knee. You smiled at him. “You’re giving gifts now?” you asked and he nodded.
He took a deep breath, the smile on his face dropping. “Is something different about you?” he asked suddenly. You glanced down at him and shook your head. “No,” you replied. He lifted his head, sniffing the air. “Something smells different…”
Your cheeks burned as he leaned closer, inhaling your scent.
“Oh,” he said softly, glancing up at you.
“Are you-”
“These are really pretty gifts,” you interrupted, looking down at the pearl and sea glass. Jisung’s brow furrowed as you avoided his gaze. “Y/N,” he started and when you still didn’t look at him, he pulled himself up, caging you in with his arms as his body slotted between your thighs.
You let out a surprised squeak, the pearl and sea glass falling from your hands and into the water with a plop. Jisung was inspecting your face, leaning closer. “Jisung,” you warned as he leaned even closer, forcing you to lean back, holding yourself up with one hand.
One of his hands moved to your lower back and pulled your hips flush against him, forcing another squeak from your lips. Heat spread into your cheeks and pooled in the pit of your stomach and Jisung’s eyes widened as the realization hit him.
“So that’s why you’ve been avoiding me?” he whispered. You shook your head. “I haven’t been avoiding-AHH!” you gasped as he very quickly pinned you down, your back flat against the rock as he hovered over you.
“You have,” he murmured. “You’ve been avoiding me. Was it the kiss?” he asked, his hands moving to pin your wrists together. “Did it have some sort of effect on--”
Jisung stopped, his words catching as he caught the change of your scent. The sudden flood of arousal that filled the cavern.
“Oh,” he said, his voice dropping an octave and eyes darkening. “So that does it for you, does it?” he asked, grinning lopsidedly at you, showing his sharp teeth off.
“Being pinned down and unable to move?”
You stared up at him, breathing heavily as heat rushed to your core, a tingling sensation starting to form in your toes. “W-what?” you whispered, your voice much softer than you intended. Jisung’s grin widened. “I think you do. I think you like this,” he continued.
You shook your head but your voice wouldn’t come out. Jisung tilted his head, black eyes boring into yours. “I think you’re lying,” he said, leaning down, his lips inches from yours. “I think you like the idea of being unable to fight back,” he chuckled, nose nuzzling into your cheek.
“Maybe I should teach you a lesson for disappearing on me for three nights. Making me worry about you.” You let out an involuntary whimper, feeling his hips grind against yours. Jisung let out a soft chuckle. “Oh, baby,” Jisung whispered as he ghosted his lips over the skin of your neck up to your ear.
“You really should have stayed away another night.”
You let out a squeal as Jisung pulled back, water splashing as he pulled you with him.
You surfaced, kicking under you to stay afloat as you looked around quickly. You turned back to the rocky ledge, to pull yourself up but as you got about halfway out of the water, Jisung resurfaced, pressing against your back and pinning you against the rocks.
You let out a cry of surprise as he chuckled in your ear, his hands wandering to your wetsuit and your eyes widened as you heard a rip of the fabric. ‘Did he just…’
When Jisung pulled back to admire his handiwork, you realized he’d ripped the entire back of your wetsuit open, completely ignoring the zipper right next to it.
You lowered yourself into the water and turned to look over your shoulder at him, finding half of his face submerged in the water. “What the hell!” you snapped. Jisung darted forward, pinning you against the rock wall. “Sorry, little fish,” he chuckled as his hands were quick to start pulling your wetsuit off, leaving you in just your swimsuit.
“That was my favorite wetsuit,” you pouted as you watched it sink into the depths of the pool. Jisung blocked your view, taking your face in his hands. “I’m sorry,” he said softly, leaning in until your lips were inches apart. You stared back at him, unmoving. He hesitated, a slight smirk crossing his features before he finally closed the distance, kissing you.
Your lips parted in a gasp allowing his tongue to slip into your mouth. Your own hands had moved to the rocks, trying to keep yourself from sinking. Jisung pulled back, lips ghosting across your cheek and kissing down the side of your neck.
You felt him nip at the string of your bikini top. “I could easily snap this,” he mused before continuing to kiss along your shoulder. You opened your mouth to retort but he pressed his hips against yours, ripping a moan from your throat instead.
Another roll of his hips and your hands slipped from the rocks. Jisung was quick to grab your wrists, placing your hands on his shoulders. “If you need to hold onto something, hold onto me,” he said, watching your face as he rutted against you again.
Your head was swimming, heat pooling in your lower belly as the shark creature grinded against you, one hand holding onto the rocky ledge while the other moved down to your thigh, holding your hips in place. The rocks in the wall behind you jutted out, pushing into your back but you couldn’t be bothered to care, not when Jisung was breathing heavily into your ear, teasing you with his words.
“You know I could pin you down and have my way with you right now if I wanted to, right?”
You let out another moan as he rutted against you. “What’s stopping you,” you breathed, your voice just audible over the sound of the water lapping against the rocks. Jisung chuckled softly, his breath fanning over your collar and neck. “Because,” he started, slowing his movements.
“I’m waiting for your permission to let me have my way with you.”
One of your hands moved up the back of his neck, tangling in his dark locks. “Then consider this my consent,” you whispered before pulling him into a heated kiss. It only lasted for a few moments before Jisung lifted you up out of the water, placing you on the edge of the rock ledge.
“Don’t move,” he ordered, reaching up and untying one side of your bikini bottoms, letting the material fall before untying the other side and grabbing your hips in his hands. You had no time to ask what he was doing before you felt his tongue rough against your clit.
“Oh shit,” you gasped, eyes fluttering shut, one hand moving to his hair. Jisung ignored your grip on him, merely licking slowly up your slit. “That steak tasted amazing,” he noted, his voice low and gravelly.
“But you taste divine.”
You let out another moan as his lips attached to your clit, teasing, flicking, and sucking on the sensitive nub. You felt the tips of his pointed nails digging slightly into the flesh of your thighs. “Oh shit,” you gasped as he nipped at your clit.
“J-Jisung!” you whined, back arching as he lapped at your clit. “Keep saying my name like that,” he groaned against you. “Sounds so good when you say it like that, baby.”
“I need you pliant,” he murmured, pulling back to look at your slit. “But I don’t wanna hurt you,” he added softly. “Spread your legs for me, cutie,” he instructed. “And keep them spread.”
You did as he asked, spreading your thighs, squeaking out a small yelp when he pushed your knees closer to you. “Hold right here,” he said, patting the backs of your knees. You replaced his hands and groaned as you felt his tongue against your slit.
“Relax for me,” you heard him mutter and you took a deep breath.
You felt the tip of his tongue push into your hole and both of you groaned; you at the intrusion and him at the taste and warmth of your cunt. You felt him ease more of his tongue into your walls and wondered if he’d been hiding the majority of his tongue.
You moaned, walls clenching as his tongue moved in and out of you slowly. “F-fuck. I didn’t know you could do that,” you whined. Jisung hummed against you, sending vibrations against your clit and you gasped out.
Just as quickly, he withdrew his tongue and pulled back. “I think that’s enough,” he said as you propped yourself up, chest heaving. “I’ll just have to take my time easing into you,” he added, grabbing your hips and pulling you closer.
You let out a yelp as your lower half fell into the water. “Turn around,” he growled, grabbing your hips and pushing you into position as you held onto the ledge. Jisung lifted you partially out of the water, holding you in place. “W-what’re you doing?”
“I’m going to fuck you, baby,” he chuckled. You felt something warm and wet grind against you and you let out a moan. “O-okay,” you said as he pressed the head of his cock against your slit. “It’s not too late to tap out,” he joked and you shook your head.
“No,” you retorted. “I want this.”
Jisung hissed, the tip of his cock slipping into you and making you gasp at the intrusion. You hadn’t gotten to see it before he was pushing it into you but it felt huge. You moaned, your walls stretching to accommodate him as he slid in, inch by inch.
“Hold still,” you heard him whisper as he pinned you against the ledge. “What--FUCK!”
You cursed, gasping as he thrust forward, sheathing his entire length inside you with one motion.
“Oh fuck,” you groaned, knees bumping into the rock wall as Jisung bottomed out. “Hah, so t-tight,” you heard him grunt. “M’gonna fuck you so good,” he chuckled, resting his forearm over your back. “Now just stay still, baby,” he continued, slowly pulling back and snapping his hips forward, making you gasp.
“Fuck you feel good. I should have done this a lot sooner,” he mused, setting a steady pace, thrusting into you from behind. “J-Jisung,” you whimpered. You felt his breath as he leaned in close to your ear. “This was more fun when you fought back,” he panted. “So fight me.”
You tried to push yourself up but he just forced you back down. “Come on, baby,” he cooed. “You can do better than that. Beg me to stop,” he laughed, slamming into you, making you see stars with each thrust. “S-stop,” you stammered weakly.
Jisung laughed again, his breath hot and heavy against the back of your neck. “Is that the best you’ve got?” he asked. “Come on, pet,” he continued, grunting with effort. “Really beg me.”
S-stop, please,” you whimpered, finding a little more strength in your voice. You didn’t want him to stop though. Not when it felt so good. “That’s it,” Jisung groaned. “Keep it going. Beg me not to fuck you. Tell me you want me to let you go. Plead with me,” he growled.
You gasped as he gave you a hard thrust, stealing the words from your tongue and the breath from your lungs. “J-Jisung. Stop. This is wr-wrong. P-please s-uh-stop,” you moaned into the rocky surface. You noticed how your whines and pleas only spurred him on.
You tried again to push yourself up only for him to grab both of your wrists, forcing you back down against the rocks, pinning your arms behind your back with one hand. “You really think you can fight me off?” he scoffed, thrusts increasing in speed.
“You think you’re strong enough?”
You shook your head, moans slipping from your lips as your mind started to go blank. “That’s right, little fish,” he smirked. “You’re powerless against me. You can’t do anything. You’re completely at my mercy. This entire time you think you’ve been in control?”
He chuckled darkly. “You haven’t been in control of shit. I let you think you had the power here. You’re out of your depth, Y/N. You have no idea what you’re up against,” he growled, slowing his thrusts to deep rolls, making your eyes roll back and a low moan escape the back of your throat.
“I let you leave every night but you always come back to me,” he continued. “Why do you think that is?” he asked softly, continuing to grind against you, his cock lodged deep in your walls. “Because you’re mine,” he growled. “You’ve been mine from the moment you entered this cave and you’ll be mine when you leave ‘cause no matter how many times you leave after this…” he trailed off, licking against your pulse point.
“You’ll always come back to me.”
You let out a mix between a scream and a moan as you felt his sharp teeth pierce your skin. ‘He just bit you. You’re gonna bleed out, you idiot!’
Despite the sharp stinging pain, the bite was more superficial with only minimal bleeding. It was meant to scar you. To mark you. You were now marked as his.
Upon sinking his teeth into your skin, Jisung felt your walls contract around his cock and he groaned, his thrusts regaining the same relentless pace from before, slamming into you repeatedly, savoring your cries of both pleasure and pain from the bite. It would heal. It wasn’t that deep anyway.
Your walls tightened, restricting his movement as he felt you cum and he coaxed you through it, whispering words of encouragement in your ear as you came down from your high. “That’s it, baby,” he whispered. “Such a good girl, taking my cock so well.”
You moaned in response as he kept going. “It’s my turn, little one,” he murmured. “Shhh, baby. It’s okay. Just let go. I’ve got you,” he added, keeping a firm hold on your wrists. “Gonna fill this cute little pussy with my cum and make you mine.”
He readjusted your hips so the rock wasn’t digging into your hips before chasing his own. The sound of skin on skin echoed around the small cavern, bouncing off the rock walls, mixing with your moans until Jisung finally let out a slew of curses, strung between moans as he came, burying his cock deep inside you and filling your cunt with his seed.
He knew it wouldn’t take. You were human after all. He couldn’t actually breed with you but damn did it feel good to pretend for a few minutes as he came down from his own orgasm, muttering into your ear about how you were bound to him forever and how cute you’d look carrying his child.
When the moment passed, Jisung inspected the bite wound to your shoulder, clicking his tongue. “I could have bitten harder,” he murmured as he released your arms. “It might not show once it heals,” he added as you pushed yourself up. “If it doesn’t show up,” you said, your voice hoarse.
“I guess you’ll just have to try again.”
Jisung smiled as you looked over your shoulder at him. “How about tomorrow?” he asked, eyes sparkling in the moonlight. You rolled your eyes. “I meant after it heals, you perverted sex fiend!”
Jisung pouted as you pushed him away, his cock slipping out of you and retracting back into his body as you shakily pulled yourself up onto the rock ledge. “But,” he started as you grabbed your bikini bottoms and turned to face him. “No buts,” you retorted. “Let me heal first, otherwise you might kill me.”
Jisung watched as you put your swimsuit back on, retying the strings. He watched as you moved back to sit on the edge, dipping your legs into the water before moving to push your thighs apart and slot between them, resting his arms on the tops of your thighs.
He smiled a toothy grin when you looked down, meeting his gaze before he spoke.
“So, the day after tomorrow?”

@arctrooper69 Tagging you right here :D
A night like that one was much too rare. The sun had just finished going down beneath the horizon, and the faintest hue of blue still lit the sky while the stars had already begun their nightly dance. The breeze was warm on your skin, even with the drops of water that lingered on you as you sat at the edge of the pool with your feet and calves still in the water, your hands running down your wet hair as you sighed and took in the life of the moment. The speakers played chill tunes, easy to listen to, perfect to vibe with the summery air and the laughs coming from all around the pool.
You looked around and smiled at the fact that all of your favorite troopers were there, and even some you hadn’t seen before—probably shinies who had just joined their platoons. Boys from the 501st, 212th, hell, even the 99s had bothered to come to a summer pool night on Naboo for their shore leave.
You couldn't help but laugh and think you’d seen it all when, across the pool, you saw that silver-haired sniper taking a sip from a bright cocktail. And his eyes were on you too, glaring, but you were used to that. You shot a cheeky grin at Crosshair only for him to roll his eyes and look away.
Your gaze remained on him for a little longer until you heard somebody diving into the pool, and when you looked at the crystalline water lit by the warm bulbs submerged in it, you quickly realized it was Fives as he emerged from under the water running his hands up his face and towards the back of his head, brushing the hair away. In that pose, Fives opened his arms and flexed, showing off his biceps as he shot you his signature charming grin, winking at you.
“These babies have gotten bigger since the last time I saw you, sweetheart,” Fives beamed.
Laughter escaped you—as much as you adored Fives, his attempts at flirting were always a sight to behold. Something about young, handsome soldiers tripping over their feet for your attention made you wish all summer nights were like that one, and to follow along with Fives’ game, you crossed one leg over the other, planted your hands firmly on the ground at your sides and shrugged, pursing your lips together.
“I don’t know, they kinda look the same to me,” you teased him.
“Don’t listen to him,” you heard the voice next to you as Jesse took a seat beside you only to fully get into the pool and swim over next to Fives, adopting his same pose. “I actually think I pull it off better, and I only lift half as often as he does. It’s like I don’t even have to try.”
“Oh, shut up!” Fives yelled, grinning mischievously as he brushed his hand and forearm over the water’s surface in Jesse’s direction, splashing him.
“That’s how you wanna do it, you runt?” Jesse played along and began splashing back.
As if that gesture were a galactic beckoning for the clones, the pool almost instantly became filled with troopers wanting to partake in the splash battle. You giggled as you watched them splash and wrestle playfully—the scene in front of you was probably the best definition of “boys being boys.” You loved it, and laughter wouldn’t stop leaving you. For the duration of that night, you hadn’t enjoyed anything more than what was currently playing out in front of you.
However, across the pool, the same pair of piercing amber eyes glared past the scene and into you, but you weren’t taking notice of that anymore.
It only took a few seconds for the clones’ splash war to no longer be about you, and the water flying in from multiple directions was beginning to get out of hand. Wiping a couple of drops that had fallen near your eyes, you got up and made your way towards the chair where you’d left your things. You slipped your feet into your sandals, smiling at the sound of the racket behind you blending with the music, and then you took the cream-colored shawl you’d taken to the party and wrapped it around your hips in a makeshift skirt. You were in the mood for a drink now, but while the water wars ended, you figured you’d hit the powder room to adjust your suit.
Crosshair watched you from where he stood, his eyes following your silhouette as you walked from the pool to the lounge. Every time your right leg came forward, your skin was exposed by the edges of the fabric wrapped around your hips, offering him a teasing glimpse of your thigh. He picked up on the sway of your hips, the delicate left and right of every step that you took, partnered perfectly with your hands coming back and forth in tandem with your stride. As you walked past the chairs and the tables, Crosshair took in how gracefully your hair framed your face, as well as how perfectly the top of your bathing suit framed your breasts and the top half of your belly, letting him see the skin just above your belly button only for the smoothness to stop just above your womb, where the shawl began.
Fuck. He suppressed a groan. Did you even have any idea how sensual you looked? Clearly you didn’t, why else would you waste yourself on all those amateurs trying to impress you with a basic flex and a splish-splash of water?
You’d made it to the common mirror just outside the restrooms and looked at your reflection in the flattering warm lighting. You combed through your hair using your fingers, trying to achieve a carefree look, a blend between messy and done that seemed right for the night. When you were done with that, you eased a few creases on the fabric of your shawl and tightened the knot—you didn’t want that getting loose on accident—and you smoothed out the top of your bathing suit as well. Once you were ready to head back out into the party, you turned around and began making your way where you came from. Your thoughts on what cocktail you were gonna get were interrupted by a tall, lean silhouette dressed in black coming into view. The sight of those amber eyes made you stop in your tracks, and you couldn’t help the little grin that appeared on your lips.
“Look who finally decided to socialize,” you teased him.
Crosshair scoffed, his eyes looking aside as he did. “Don’t flatter yourself. I wouldn’t waste my time or energy with you.”
You placed your hands over your heart, faking a heartache. “Must you hurt me so?”
“I’m not particularly happy with you,” Crosshair crooned.
You giggled. “You’re never happy with anyone. And you of all people have no reason to hold anything against me, you never even let yourself open up to me.” Your gaze softened and you took a step towards him, holding your fists behind your back and pouting up at him. “Why won’t you let me in, Crosshair?”
Again, he rolled his eyes. “I didn’t come here for this.”
“Something tells me you did,” you answered. “Here I am, what do you want with me?”
“Nothing,” Crosshair nearly spat the word out.
You raised a brow. No one in that party could deny how insightful you were, not even him.
Crosshair scoffed again. “Fine, I’ll bite.”
“Please do,” you couldn’t resist the urge to say.
“Maybe I didn’t like the way the others were making fools out of themselves for your attention,” Crosshair glared. “It was pathetic to watch.”
“Ah,” you crossed your arms, nodding slowly. “So you’re jealous.”
“Fuck, no,” Crosshair smirked. “I just wouldn’t be caught dead being a complete idiot like that.”
“So you aren’t jealous?” You smirked back.
“No.”
“Then why do you look like you’re about to stab someone?” Your smirk widened.
You’d cornered him, and Crosshair hated that. He was used to always having the upper hand, the higher ground, to being on top of everything. Nothing could ever surprise him, and when it did, it only meant he’d screwed up. The fact that you had just done that in the most leisurely of settings made him want to puke.
“Forget this,” he said, his silhouette beginning to turn around.
“I didn’t take you for the type to run away, Crosshair,” you said as your hands went over to your hips and you shifted your weight onto your left side, emphasizing the curves of your silhouette.
Crosshair faced you again, his gaze darkening at the little pose you’d adopted. You noticed his eyes running down your body, but when they met yours again, his gaze hardened.
“Fuck you,” he said, without hesitating.
You scoffed, looking at him from head to toe as well. “Fuck me yourself, you coward. I’d like to see if you can.”
He scoffed, his thin lips curving into a smile as he made his way towards you painfully slowly. Hovering in front of you, he took his fingers up to your chin, tilting your face up, making your breath hitch despite your witty exterior.
“You better be damn serious about that, doll,” Crosshair purred with hungry eyes.
“What, did I stutter?” Your breath shook as you whispered, and your hand snaked up his abdomen and felt his chest over the black shirt he wore. “What other way do I have to tell you I want this?”
The hand that was on your chin traveled back and down to cup the side of your neck, firm, but never hard enough to hurt you. Crosshair’s fingertips rested gently on your nape, and his other hand went up and joined the first in perfect symmetry. He pressed his body closer to yours, never breaking eye contact with you, and your heart beat so fast you were afraid he’d be able to hear it through your chest. He was devastatingly handsome, looming over you, watching you with lustful eyes foreboding passion. It didn’t matter where you were. It didn’t matter if there were people outside—they were enjoying their own night, they didn’t have to be involved in what only concerned you and Crosshair. All that mattered was the sensation of his hands on your skin, your hands over his chest, and the heat beginning to boil low in your stomach.
You half-expected another snarky remark, another sneer coming from Crosshair just to test the waters, but you basked in the mercy of the satisfaction that came when Crosshair finally crashed his lips down on yours. He stepped towards you and you stepped backwards, stumbling into the bathroom for him to lock the door behind him when you were both already inside. The music continued to boom from the party outside, as did the cheers and the laughter from everyone blissfully ignorant of the fire catching between you and the marksman. You didn’t have to worry about being heard.
You blindly walked backwards with your fists tugging at Crosshair’s shirt, your mind swarming with the concept of him as he devoured your lips with luscious kisses and mischievous nibbles. You felt your back bump into the wall next to the sink, and he pressed you onto it, letting you feel the erection growing under his pitch-black boxer bathing suit. You whimpered at the hardness and let your hands travel up his chest and around his shoulders until the tips of your fingers found his silver hair, which you twirled and tugged hoping to get a sound from him. Crosshair pleased you by letting out a low grunt and grew more passionate with every tug you gave to his hair.
One of the hands that was on your neck traveled down to your waist and kneaded your flesh with his fingertips, freeing your neck for him to take his kisses down to that sensitive skin he so badly wanted to mark. You shuddered when you first felt Crosshair suck on your neck, and you were astounded at his ease to find your sweetest spot. He nibbled and sucked such that you were certain there would be a maroon mark on your skin, and you enjoyed every second of it. You were enjoying the idea of coming out of that bathroom with that mark on your neck for everyone to see, and something told you Crosshair would get a kick of it as well, parading you in front of everyone else to show them how it’s really done.
When he was finished with your neck, Crosshair moved down your body leaving a trail of kisses and nibbles whilst feeling every inch of your body he could, including your hardened nipples over the fabric of your swimsuit, until he was on his knees in front of you. His hands greedily squeezed the flesh of your buttcheeks as he focused his kisses on your lower abdomen, just above the line where your shawl and the bottom of your bathing suit began. Unwilling to wait much longer to finally taste you, Crosshair curled his fingers around your bathing panties and pulled them down your legs with ease. You stepped out of them for him to hand them to you for you to hold in one hand, and when your other hand went to undo your top, he was quick to stop you.
“No, doll,” Crosshair purred. “You’re keepin’ that on.”
You giggled at him in response, and by his actions, he didn’t intend for you to remove that shawl either. Part of you would have preferred for Crosshair to have already been shirtless at this point, but any sort of thought faded when Crosshair took one of your legs and wrapped it around his back—it was only until then you became aware that your aching cunt was finally exposed to him.
Crosshair split the fabric of your shawl and placed it over your hips to keep it out of the way; he held your butt with one hand to keep you steady while he used his index and thumb fingers on his other hand to lift the hood of your clit. Your mind barely had a second to ponder on the fact that he knew what he was doing, and when you felt his tongue begin to brush over the pearl of your clit, your whole world faded. A deep moan escaped you, and your head fell back to the wall as your chest heaved at every sensation Crosshair gifted you with. You slipped farther from sanity and nearer into bliss, feeling he’d tip you over the edge in an obscenely small amount of time.
Switching between luscious kissing and precise sucking, Crosshair turned you from confident temptress to whimpering mess, pleased at the idea of having you at his mercy. Your moans grew louder and more desperate, and your hand reached down to find his hair again, twirling and tugging at his beautiful silver locks. You drew a moan from Crosshair, and its vibrations resonated deep within your flesh, finally finishing you off. Your already helpless moaning turned into pleading mewls as the pleasure that focused on your clit exploded into beautiful flames invading every corner of your body. Your muscles tensed as you squirmed, knowing it was only Crosshair’s grip keeping you upright. You were oblivious to the amount of times you whimpered his name, you only had the headspace to rut your hips against him, as if you weren’t feeling enough mind-erasing pleasure already.
You wanted more. You wanted his fullness, his touch. You wanted him.
Crosshair emerged from between your legs as if he were coming up for air after a long swim. You were dazzled, panting in the aftermath of every wave of pleasure you’d just felt, but you managed to look down and see him smirking proudly. Crosshair grunted as he stood up, towering over you again, and just when you were beginning to make sense of the world around you again, you saw him pulling down his bathing shorts to reveal a long, hard erection waiting just for you.
You couldn’t help but moan at the sight, making him chuckle with pride.
“Got room for some more?” Crosshair asked.
You nodded frantically, and without hesitation, Crosshair firmly grasped your ass and lifted you, resting part of your weight on the sink beside you. You clung to him, needily wrapping your legs around his waist, and he could only hum at the sight, pleased. After the painful wait, you finally felt Crosshair sliding himself into you, hissing at the initial stretch of your flesh only for you to moan when it became the most incredible sensation you’d ever experienced.
And Crosshair took it from there. Holding you firmly, he took care of every movement. Your arousal made it easier for him to slip in and out of you at whatever speed he desired, and you could tell he wasn’t planning on putting anything off. He was quick, accurate, decisive, grunting low and seductive into your ear with every few thrusts into your hips. Your nails clawed into his upper back, moaning deeply as you tightened your legs around him as much as you could, and it heightened the sensations you felt.
As he continued to fuck deep into you, Crosshair made eye contact with you for a moment, his cocky exterior suddenly becoming caring, even soft. The thought of your prior conversation entered your mindhow long had he felt that way for you? How long had you been suppressing your own desires for him?
Now that you were in his arms, feeling all the pleasure he could give you, you were certain you were where you needed to be.
A tender moan of his name escaped you just before you felt the pleasure expand through your body again. The moans induced by this second orgasm were far louder and embarrassingly more lustful than those of the first, and Crosshair thrust his hips faster into you as he fisted your hair and gave it a light tug. Your vision went white as you succumbed to the pleasure, to him, until you felt the heat of his release inside you followed by soft, low-pitched moans that sealed every one of your feelings for him.
Carefully, he set you down, and once he was sure that your feet were firm on the ground, Crosshair went limp in front of you. His arms were the only thing that remained strong as he caged you to the wall, panting to recover his breath in tandem with you. His lips were close to yours, and you couldn’t help but reach your hands up to cup his face and kiss him gently. Crosshair kissed you back without a hesitation, retrieving his hands from the wall to place them over your wrists, pressing you deeper to him.
“You never had to be jealous, Crosshair,” you whispered.
“Don’t blame me,” he panted, “for getting a little unhinged at the thought of someone else trying to satisfy you.”
“Hey, if this is the result, I’ll take it any day,” you winked. “I should have known a tease and a challenge was all it took.”
Crosshair smirked at you and let his hands travel down to your waist, straightening his back and lifting your feet up with him. “Wanna show off your hickey?”
You felt the heat rush to your cheeks. “You’d love that, wouldn’t you?”
Crosshair chuckled and pecked your lips, setting you down on the floor again and pulling up his bathing suit again. “Come.”
You put the bottom of your bathing suit on and followed him out of the refresher with your arm linked in his, ready for all the stares you were about to receive. Crosshair would definitely show them all, and you never would have fathomed the idea of parading a fresh hickey in front of a group of men who were flirting with you minutes earlier, but if that love hadn’t made you a bit crazy, you wouldn’t have been doing it right.

Beach
Series masterlist
Just a note that Baelon is my replacement for Joffrey Velaryon. 😇
~~~
The weather was unusually warm for Dragonstone and had a heavy feeling in the air. The lack of a breeze made the day uncomfortable and your clothes sticky with sweat.
Yours and Rhaenyra's decision to excuse the children from their afternoon lessons to go to the beach was met with delighted shrieks from Baelon and Aegon and bright smiles from Jace and Luke.
Despite the boys' clear excitement, it still took some time for your little group to venture out of the castle. Poor Baelon had been so eager to go that he'd pushed his little hands against your back to make you go faster. Jace and Luke had been slightly better, although they still rushed around and whined when you weren't ready to leave instantly. But their patience was rewarded when you finally touched the sand.
"Hurry up Kepa!" Luke ordered as you helped him remove his doublet and shirt.
"I'm helping as fast as I can, do not rush me," you said, ruffling his hair.
"Be patient Luke. Your father's doing his best in his old age," Rhaenyra smirked as she rested underneath the canopy the servants had finished setting up. Baby Egg was already sitting on the sand beside her and babbling away as his hands grabbed at the sand. Your wife quickly intercepted his hands when he went to put them in his mouth.
"That's not what you said yesterday, my love," you winked at her. Her cheeks turned slightly pink.
"Are you coming in with us, Kepa?" Jace asked, shuffling in place as he waited for his brothers.
"Aye, I am," you replied as you gave Luke one last look before turning to Baelon. Seeing that he was already clad in just his breeches, you quickly stripped down to your breeches.
"Are you coming Muna?" Luke asked.
"Not yet, sweet boy. I'll stay with Egg for the moment," she took off her shoes and, uncaring about propriety, lifted her dress up so that her calves were visible.
"Go ahead boys, I'll be along shortly," you ordered. Jace and Luke were sprinting towards the water before you'd finished talking, although Baelon surprisingly remained beside you.
"I'll help you Kepa," he declared solemnly. "Muna was right, you are quite old and need help."
The stunned silence that followed was broken by Rhaenyra choking back what you suspected to be a laugh. Your own face threatened to break into a smile but you fought it back.
"Thank you Baelon," you replied sweetly. Too sweetly.
Your third son seemed to sense he'd gone too far, if the shuffling of his feet and sheepish look were any indicators.
You quickly struck, grabbing him and holding him over your shoulder. You sprinted toward the water, where your older sons were splashing each other.
Baelon squealed with laughter as you ran. He grabbed at your bare skin and hair. "Kepa, no, I'm sorry!"
"I'm sorry too, Baelon. I'm sorry it had to end like this," you tickled his foot and narrowly avoided getting kicked in the chest. As soon as you reached the water, you picked him off your shoulder and threw him into the water.
He came up giggling and you started to swim. Jace and Luke jumped on you and it quickly became a splashing war between the four of you. Alliances changed every minute and by the time a truce had been called, all of you were soaked.
Shortly after Rhaenyra and Egg joined you at the shore. You both watched on as your children ducked under the waves.
"This was a good idea," Rhaenyra sighed. Her dress had been exchanged for a shift and she held Egg, who looked dubious at the idea of going into the water.
"Yes it was," you agreed and reached to hug her. Egg reached out to grab your thumb in his hand, content now that he was being held by both his parents.
Judging by the sky, it would soon be time to return to the castle. The children would be tired, cold and hungry. Tomorrow would return to normal for you all.
But for the moment, both of you basked in the sunshine.
A and B kiss while sitting together on a (surf)board. with topper! please and thank you <333
also, i came across that prompt on a prompt list on here. and it immediately made me think of topper for som reason!!😌
Surfing Lessons
Author’s Note: Thank you soooooo much for your patience in waiting for me to write this! I have had some major writer’s block lately, but I wanted to get something out before season 4 premiers! I hope this satisfies a little bit of your Topper cravings! And thank you for being such an amazing person!
Warnings: bratty sisters, the ocean, hurried writing (will probably go back to edit later), fluff
~
“(Y/N)!!!!! Please!!!!!!” your whiny little sister pleaded again.
You rolled your eyes and groaned. “Oh my goodness, for the last time, I do not want to take surfing lessons with you! You can go by yourself if that’s how you want to spend your vacation,” you replied, trying to tan on the beach before going into the water for a while.
“But they are doing lessons right over there, and mom said you have to go with me!” She stomped her foot, kicking up a little cloud of sand. You looked past her to where you could see some older lifeguards helping kids balance correctly on the surfboards, and it looked harmless enough. They weren’t even in the water. No chance to fall and embarrass yourself.
You sighed, “Fine.” You marked the place in your book and placed it into your beach bag. “But you owe me one, Mackenzie.”
“Yay!!!!! Thank you, (Y/N)!” she squealed as she took your hand and dragged you over to the lessons.
As you arrived, rubbing the soreness from your arm, the older instructors turned to greet you both, smiles on their slightly wrinkled faces. “Ah, thank you for joining us! We hope you are ready to learn how to surf and stay safe while doing it!” the one said.
“Over here we have our 10-12 year old lessons,” the other instructor said to Mackenzie before looking at you. “And over there we have our teen lessons with Topper and JJ.” The man pointed to a spot much closer to the ocean where two teenage boys stood with their boards in hand. They saw the instructor pointing and waved, welcoming smiles on their faces - handsome faces it is worth noting. They looked very nice and you were sure they were excellent instructors, but their proximity to the actual ocean concerned you.
You turned back to the instructors who had already started to teach Mackenzie how to stand on the board. “I’m not so sure if I’m ready for those lessons yet; this is my first time surfing, so maybe I should stay here with Mackenzie,” you explained, an irrational fear sweeping over you.
“Oh, don’t be a baby, (Y/N). Go over there for your lessons; I bet you I’ll be over there soon enough cause I’m gonna be a natural.”
You huffed and rolled your eyes once again, annoyed that your little sister had called your bluff so easily. “Fine, I just wasn’t sure if you could handle being by yourself,” you stated before marching closer to the shore, your cheeks growing red as the two boys came into better focus.
Very handsome indeed.
They were both blond, but the one with lighter hair flashed you a charismatic smile, mischief in his eyes. “Hi, I’m JJ, what’s your name?” he asks smoothly.
You smiled back shyly, “I’m (Y/N).”
JJ’s smile grew. “Where are you -”
“Hi, (Y/N), my name’s Topper, and I’ll be your instructor today.” The other boy cut off the lithe blond’s smooth talking. Both you and JJ’s heads snapped to look at Topper. Topper saw the anger in JJ’s eyes as he looked over your head and gave an innocent smile - too innocent. “What, J? You took the last student. And look, here comes another right now.” You all three turned to see a fourteen year old boy come loping down over the sand. Topper waved to JJ. “Have fun, man,” he said, a laugh barely suppressed in his voice.
As Topper turned to walk a little farther down the beach, you followed, taking the opportunity to ogle his physique. His golden tan made his rippling back muscles stand out in sharp relief. You almost got caught staring at the place between his lower back and upper thighs when he turned around on a dime.
That smirk returned, his eyes sliding over you slowly. Guess you hadn’t been as sly as you thought. “Let’s get started,” that deep voice of his making you shiver, no longer nervous about the water.
~
“Alright, (Y/N), you have the basics down.” You felt the loss of Topper’s heat as he stepped back from helping you balance. You turned toward him. “I think you are ready to go in the water, and just in time, too, there are some pretty great waves coming now.”
You looked at the waves rolling in; they didn’t look too big, but you were still scared you may fall. “I don’t know, Topper…”
He smiled sincerely, his eyes warm and surprisingly understanding. “Don’t worry, (Y/N), I’ll be right with you the whole time,” he reassured.
You bit your lip, finally nodding. “Okay, Topper, I trust you.”
The next thing you knew you were paddling on your board, Topper a few feet away on his own board, watching your technique and coaching you.
“Alright, (Y/N), here comes a good wave, so get ready to stand on my count. 3….2….1….Now!”
You stood quickly, trying to remember to balance as the wave started to take you. You felt a moment of pure exhilaration - the water kissing your skin, Topper shouting triumphantly in the background - before the wave grew too strong for you, knocking you off balance. You shrieked as you fell off the board and under the wave. You tried to raise up so you could breathe, but the wave kept pushing you down, relentless. Your panic rose to a fever pitch before you felt a strong arm wrap around you, pulling you up. You clung to your savior, your hair stuck to your face and obscuring your view as he pulled you up onto his surfboard and into safety.
Warm hands pushed the hair out of your eyes as his other arm held you to his chest. You blinked the saltwater out of your eyes and smiled sheepishly at Topper. “Thank you for saving me, Topper,” you whispered.
“I’m just glad you are okay…and that you need a few more lessons,” he intoned, leaning in slowly.
“Yeah, I think I’ll need a lot more lessons,” you agree huskily, closing the small distance between you.
Your lips met and the kiss was all sunshine and summer. You could taste the saltiness on Topper’s lips from the water, and you smiled into the kiss as Topper’s arms pulled you in impossibly closer. One of your hands slipped into his hair, tugging on the slightly knotted ends from the breeze. You pulled away slowly after a moment, savoring the memory right there and then. You pecked Topper’s lips quickly once more, not knowing what to say as he took your hand in his tenderly.
He shook his head in disbelief, a smile lighting up his whole face. “I’m so glad I was quicker than JJ,” he exclaimed, kissing you again.
"My Yawnetu"
Pairing: A’Onung x Reader Song: My Vine - Wasia Project TW: Mentions of war Y/N: She/Her Omaticaya reader, daughter of Tsu’Tey. Word Count: 1K Summary: You soon live with the Sullys after your father's death. A'Onung becomes attached to you in pretty much no time. You find him one day at the lake, showing strong feelings of sadness. He invites you to talk inside his mauri pod. During your conversation, A'Onung would want to protect you. You tell him how much you trust him, and the two of you share a poignant moment. In many instances, the speech is in Na'vi, but any word that appears in red is a Na'vi word which I have deliberately not translated, for effect. It is also important to note that traditionally it would be very common for a female Na'vi to take on her mother's name as a part of her own; however, I bucked this trend by making Y/N share Tsu'Tey's name. Queues are a matter of great importance, although they do not contain any sexual action in the mating processes.
Y/N POV: (Metkayina Shores)
It had been about 16 years since the war that had taken my father's life when I was still a baby. Now, I was among the Sullys. Jake became my new father and Neytiri my new mother. And siblings; Kiri, Lo'ak, Neteyam, and Tuk. I loved them so much, but pieces of my father were with me wherever I went. His very essence was even woven into the making of my name, Y/N te Suli Tsu'Tey'ite.
As Jake tried to utter on behalf of Uturu, the Tsahik of the clan quickly grabbed Kiri's hand up high. "These children aren't even real Na'vi," she said, and Kiri quickly drew her hand back, whispering, "Yes, we are." "They carry demon blood," Ronal said, this was met with a wave of gasps through the rest of the clan.
Jake raised his arm to shoulder height and shouted, "Listen, I come from the sky people, but now I am one of the Na'vi. We can change. We will change. Right?" His voice implored as he petitioned his case. The clan's Olo'eyktan looked to his partner, the Tsahik, who after a few moments nodded.
"Our son A'Onung and daughter Tsireya will take your children under their wings." Tonowari, the Olo'eyktan, listened as A'Onung groaned, "Why, Father?" but he quickly shushed him. "Come, I want to show you around our village," Tsireya chimed brightly.
(Dock, Months Later)
"Tsamsiyu hi'i" A'Onung settled beside me, the nickname he had grown fond of, small warrior. Among the Sully children, he held a special respect for just two of us, me and Neteyam. I could see he was starting to warm up to the others, but it would take some time. "A'Onung," I greeted him, letting my feet dangle in the water.
"It wasn't my intention for your brother to disappear," he said, trying to sound apologetic. "Your intentions don't change the outcome; you let him down," I said, holding his gaze. "What truly matters now is how you plan on making amends." Many of the Omaticaya that knew my father said that I reminded them of him.
A’Onung POV:
Her Tanhi shimmied enchantingly beneath the starlit sky. The past few months she and her family had been here, I found myself growing fond of her much like how Lo'ak had become close to my sister. But what would the future hold? If Y/N and her family were fleeing from conflict, would she have to leave once more?
“You know… a few young hunters and I are going hunting tomorrow, and we could really use a Tsamsiyu to lead the way,” I suggested. Hopefully she will join us. "My father was the warrior, I have a big legacy to uphold," she said, her eyes once more straying down to the water.
"Absolutely, you and Neteyam are really the closest to warriors among our peers, which is why I value both of you so highly." I said with my eyes upon the water beside her. "My father fought with Toruk Macto; he was once the apprentice to the Olo'eyktan before taking on that role himself for a time until his passing. Dad was both Toruk Macto and Olo'eyktan. Great destinies lie ahead of Neteyam and me to fulfill. You, too, are the son of your father, the Olo’eyktan; do you not want to be just like him?” She replied.
"My father thinks I’m a disappointment," I revealed, right before she was taken aback in horror. "That is not even close to the truth. People make mistakes, yet those do not define them as disappointments. You hold the key to the future of your clan, and you do the best you can with what you are provided. That is far from being a disappointment. I know your father knows this, too," she said, placing her hand reassuringly on my shoulder.
In that swift moment, my lips touched hers, a moment I had been waiting for after months of forbearance, terrified of being turned away. But just as she seemed ready to return it, she caught my shoulders and gently pushed me back. "A'Onung… I can't." With that, she hurried off, leaving me standing on the dock feeling utterly foolish.
Y/N POV: (Sully Mauri Pod)
Jake sat beside me, swinging his feet over the edge of the water. "So, you're not fond of him?" he asked casually. I shook my head, spilling my tears down my cheeks. "It's not that, Dad. He's just the only boy I really ever felt a connection with." I said this during a moment of my weakness as his hand rubbed my back in comfort.
"Sometimes, I wish that Tsu'Tey were here. He had this hard exterior, but I think he would be great in these talks with you." He took a deep breath. "I don't even remember him, and I feel this deep sense of loss." I said, hiding my face in my hands. "I can only imagine how you feel, sweetheart." Jake replied.
"Listen, if you really love the son of Olo'eytan, then go ahead, darling. Let our past experiences not be your stumbling block," Jake said as he looked into my eyes. "But suppose I end up hurting him…" I replied, doubt setting in. "That would not be a problem if he truly loves you," he assured.
(Water Shore)
"The hunting party is on the way back." A'Onung and several other boys broke the water surface. I had been waiting for them to get back, but A'Onung seemed to be in a bad mood as he walked right past me in silence.
I would not let this bother me; I needed to take control. I reached for his wrist, and when he turned toward me, I pressed my lips against his. Sure enough, he released the fish in his hand, pulled me close to his body by my waist, and kissed me back. "A'Onung, come on, you can have your moment with your yawnetu later. We need to bring these fish to your dad." A boy said, appearing from the water.
Losing his hold on me gently, A'Onung said to me, "Join me; we can chat at my mauri pod." Then he just picked up the fish that lay at his feet, grasped my hand, and set off.
(Olo’eyktan Mauri Pod)
Once everyone relocated to give A'Onung and me some space, we sat cross-legged on the ground facing each other. "What was that all about? Just yesterday, you didn't seem too keen on the idea of us kissing," he asked, staring down into my eyes, and I felt my nerves.
“It would seem that conflict is laid at my family's doorstep; I wouldn't want to put you in harm's way…" I whispered, eyes cast to my hands. "But if that is so, then who watches your back?" he repeated softly, his fingers intertwining into mine. "Let me be your protector," he said, his eyes locking with mine in a heated stare.
"Let me protect you… let me be your shadow that follows you." He repeated, as his hand stroked my cheek barely. "My shadow…" I repeated, trying to understand.
A'Onung looked at me, a soft blush coloring his cheeks. "I want to pick you, but I hope you'll pick me back…," he admitted. "I… I choose you, A'Onung," I replied, reaching out to show him my kuru, mirroring his gesture.
With just a few moments of hesitation, we wrapped our kurus together in tsahelu and were now linked as mates. Within the bonded mind-link, flash images of our memories played within one another's minds until we released our kurus.
We knelt together, embracing each other tightly, and he whispered, "My yawnetu, all would I give to keep you safe." With that, we leaned in for a kiss.
I think I may write a Neteyam x Reader story, having the reader be Tsu'Tey's daughter. This will be a bit different since Tsu'Tey would still be alive in this story, so look out for that!
Water Baby
Eris x Rhysand's Sister!Reader Summary: Eris and Y/N enjoy a perfect day by the lake, playing with Finna Chapter contains scenes of family bonding and lighthearted moments.
*Serves as a one-shot but can be read as memories fade or the sequel loves haze series
Eris couldn’t believe how fast time had flown by. One and a half years had passed in the blink of an eye. He watched his three-year-old son, Finna, splash around in the water, his little hands paddling energetically. Eris swam beside him, encouraging him with gentle words and guiding hands.
Finna had grown so much. His curly hair, it grew slightly darker in time with streaks of highlights, glistened in the sunlight, and his laughter echoed across the lake, pure and joyful. Eris couldn’t help but smile, his heart swelling with pride and love for his son.
On the shore, Y/N was sunbathing, her dark hair spread out like a fan on the towel beneath her. She had a serene expression on her face, the sunlight casting a warm glow on her skin. She turned her head slightly, watching Eris and Finna with a contented smile. This was the peace she had longed for, a moment of pure happiness with her family.
The past two years had been a journey of healing and growth. Y/N had been diligently visiting the healer, seeking updates about the damage in her uterus caused by the force field. The news had been a mix of hope and caution, but Y/N remained determined. She was strong, a fighter, and Eris admired her resilience.
In the meantime, Y/N had also started practicing with Finna, helping him learn to control his burgeoning powers. It was a slow and careful process, but Finna was a quick learner, and his powers, a blend of both his parents' abilities, showed remarkable potential. Eris often marvelled at the sight of Y/N guiding Finna, her patience and love evident in every gesture.
“Come on, Finna, kick your legs like this,” Eris encouraged, demonstrating the motion. Finna mimicked him, his little legs splashing water everywhere.
“Like this, Daddy?” Finna asked, his big eyes looking up at Eris.
“Exactly like that, buddy,” Eris said, his voice filled with pride. “You’re doing great.”
Finna’s laughter filled the air again, and Eris scooped him up, lifting him high above the water. Finna squealed in delight, his arms and legs flailing with joy.
“Higher, Daddy!” Finna exclaimed, and Eris obliged, lifting him even higher before gently lowering him back into the water.
Y/N watched them with a smile, her heart full. She shifted slightly, propping herself up on her elbows to get a better view. “You two look like you’re having fun,” she called out.
Eris turned to her, his smile widening. “We are! You should join us.”
Y/N laughed softly, shaking her head. “I think I’ll enjoy the sun for a bit longer. But you two go ahead.”
Eris laughed as he gently tossed Finna up in the air, catching him securely every time. The delighted squeals of his son echoed across the lake, filling the air with pure joy. Finna’s little arms flailed with excitement, and his bright eyes sparkled with happiness.
“Higher, Daddy! Higher!” Finna called out, his laughter infectious.
“Alright, one more time,” Eris said, his voice warm and playful. He lifted Finna high above his head, feeling the boy’s tiny hands gripping his shoulders tightly. With a careful toss, Finna soared into the air, the sunlight glinting off the droplets of water that sprayed around him.
Finna came down with a splash, laughing as Eris caught him securely in his strong arms. “That was so much fun!” Finna exclaimed, his cheeks rosy from the excitement and cool water.
“You’re a brave little guy,” Eris said, pride evident in his voice. He held Finna close, kissing the top of his wet head. “Now, let’s practice floating on your back again. Remember what Mommy showed you?”
Finna nodded, his expression serious as he focused on his father’s instructions. Eris gently lowered him onto his back, supporting him with his hands. Finna’s small body relaxed, and he floated on the surface of the water, his eyes wide with concentration.
“See? You’re doing great,” Eris encouraged. “Just keep your body still and trust the water to hold you up.”
Finna’s face lit up with pride as he floated effortlessly. “Look, Daddy! I’m doing it!”
Eris beamed, his heart swelling with love. “Yes, you are! I’m so proud of you, Finna.”
After a few more moments of floating, Finna decided he wanted to play some more. Eris let him splash around, his small hands creating waves that lapped against their legs. They played a game of pretending to be sea creatures, with Finna declaring himself a mighty dolphin and Eris a playful sea lion.
“Dolphin Finna, swim over here!” Eris called out, making exaggerated swimming motions.
Finna giggled, paddling over to Eris with his best dolphin impression. “I’m the fastest dolphin ever!”
“You sure are!” Eris agreed, capturing Finna in a gentle hug and spinning him around in the water. Finna’s laughter filled the air once again, and Eris couldn’t help but join in.
Eventually, Finna’s energy began to wane, and he looked towards the shore where Y/N was watching them with a loving smile. “Mommy, I want to go to Mommy!” Finna declared, his little legs kicking as he pointed towards Y/N.
Eris nodded, lifting Finna out of the water and carrying him towards the shore. Finna’s arms wrapped around his neck, his wet hair plastered to his forehead.
As they approached, Y/N stood up, holding a fluffy towel open and ready. “Come here, my little water baby,” she said, her voice full of affection.
Eris gently set Finna down, and the boy ran into Y/N’s arms, wrapping his small, wet body in the towel. Y/N enveloped him in the soft fabric, drying him off with tender care. “Did you have fun, sweetheart?”
Finna nodded enthusiastically, his eyes shining. “Yes, Mommy! Daddy and I played dolphin and sea lion! I floated, too!”
“You did? That’s wonderful!” Y/N said, her face beaming with pride. She planted kisses all over Finna’s face, making him giggle and squirm.
Eris watched them with a smile, his heart full. Y/N’s love for their son was palpable, and the sight of them together filled him with a profound sense of gratitude. He walked over, wrapping an arm around Y/N and kissing her temple.
“You two are my everything,” Eris said softly, his voice filled with emotion.
Y/N looked up at him, her eyes reflecting the same depth of feeling. “And you are ours,” she replied, leaning into his touch.
Could You Imagine That?
JJ Maybank x fem!reader
Summery: You failed. The gold, the cross, the fame, the fortune. But really, who cared? Not when you had the best gift of all. Inspired by the song: Forever by Noah Kahan
We listen to Pope and Kiara argue about who knows how to build a fire better, throwing logs into a heap by a pile of rocks and lining stones in a circle in the sand. John B and Cleo make beds for everyone to sleep on and Sarah works on some sort of spear for us. Yet, JJ and I haven’t even given a second thought of how long we just might be here for.
Maybe a few more hours, a couple days or years. In the end, did it really matter? We’d been just fine so far and we’d swear the feeling of freedom was worth it no matter how starved we became or how cold the nights were. We’d screamed about Poguelandia hundreds or times already, calling out the name of this great island and hoisting the flag we’d painted with rocks and the mud packed beneath them. Our hands pruning from the salt water and our shorts left on the edge of the shore line while we ran around in our underwear, splashing around like little kids and laughing like old friends should.
“We’re broke!” We laughed, finding the fact that we failed more funny than anything. Because had we really failed if we got a greater gift than what being filthy rich could give us?
“But real rich in our heads!” JJ would scream back, chasing me down along the edge of the ocean. And when the waves slowed my strides he lifted me from my waist with his tanned arms, not minding how our wet bodies stuck together like glue and our clothes would surely stink like ocean for as long as we’d be here.
“Won’t be alone for the rest of our lives!” I laughed in his hold, and his grip restricted my lungs but I would take the ache that came with it over any other feeling in the world. Because even after he loosens his grip, he never really lets me go and I am reminded of how he’s always within arms reach. Ready to make me smile, make me laugh. And it’s worth more than anything money could buy.
“Can you guys help us?” Kiara calls out desperately, but even she can’t hide the smile on her face, how much she loves the idea of it just being her and the Pogues all together and safe for just a small moment in the grand timeline of adventure ahead. No parents, no threats, no blood or tears. Just the sun and sand beneath our feet. A good cooked fish roasting over the fire and beds woven with leaves under our heads.
“Come in the waters just fine!” JJ splashes, catching a glare from Pope as the salt water briefly tames the fire they just started. And when Kiara catches his line of vision, we don’t have to look back to know their broken laughter is because their stripping to join us in the sea. Ready to splash around carelessly like children do, like we do.
“Can you imagine being here, like this forever? No more window shopping or late rent!” I laugh, bearing all my teeth in my smile when Kiara wraps her arms over my shoulders and places a sloppy kiss to my cheek.
“Won’t be alone for the rest of our lives!” She repeats my words back to me, eyes shining with the glow of the sunset that casts a warm hue over her sunburnt cheeks.
“Poguelandia forever, baby!” JJ’s arms pull Kiara away from me, and like glue, I’m stuck to him with nothing more to offer than the sweetest smile and the world shining in my eyes. I feel more alive than ever and theres not an ounce of gold that could replace it.
“Oh my god!” Cleo laughs at the scene in front of her, dry wood under her arm and a soft blush in her cheek from the sun. We’re all drenched in salt or sweat but we can’t help but feel absolutely okay with it.
You could fly over head at that very moment, on the search for miserable teens in need of help and you wouldn’t even look twice. The way everyone laughed like brothers and sisters and cherished what the world gave them, you’d think we were on some vacation. Like we hadn’t washed up here by accident.
Broken bones and aching muscles worth every moment that led us to this island and this life.
Looking back at JJ, I see the stars in his eyes and the world under his feet. It’s all we’ve ever wanted. A simple life by the ocean with all the people we love. So, we might be broke, we might be hungry and by god we might smell but by god are we richer than most.
“Poguelandia forever.” JJ whispers only for my ears to hear, forehead pressing against mine and his eyes observing the crinkles by my eyes. His thumbs lift from my hips to rub against my cheeks. Then he kisses me, kisses me in a way I hadn’t felt since before death looked at us in the eyes and grief was all we knew. Like we both knew finally that it would all work out and we would be okay.
When we pull away, we share the same hazy look we had plastered on our cheeks before and his hands plant themselves firmly on my hips once again. Squeezing the skin between his fingers playfully and drowning out the world around us.
“Could you imagine that.”
Can i request a luffy x fem reader who's his childhood best friend and they're both as dumb and hyperactive as each other (she followed and stayed him when he started his pirate journey) and they also like each other but arent together and theyre just two puppies in love
I love dumb idiot x dumb idiot, with a smidgen of oblivious mutual pining. I’m keeping this to pre time skip and kinda vague timeline wise. Keeping this as SFW since you didn’t specify just to be safe.
Hope you like it ✨
—————
You’d grown up attached to his hip, returning with him to Dandan’s house after saving him from drowning. He’d fallen off a bridge he’d made and into the fast river, his elder brothers, Sabo and Ace, rushed to help him. But you’d been faster, watching the trio from the shore and being a great swimmer/fisherman.
His brothers had been so grateful they’d offered you protection and dinner at their home, your own family was broken up by war and violence just like theirs so you accepted. And while Dandan hadn’t been happy about another mouth to feed, she’d thought having a young girl around would help the three wild boys settle down and act better.
It didn’t.
Everyone was dismayed to learn you were just as crazy as Luffy and equally stupid. Though you both had your brilliant moments and emotional intelligence, time and time again proved that though wisdom was chasing you, you were faster.
That’s how it’s been as kids, your adventures so intertwined Luffy couldn’t remember a time you weren’t by his side. Even Garp mistakenly called you his grandkid half the time and never held back his training or punishment on you either.
As you got older, your ambition remained unchange. You wanted to see Luffy become King of the Pirates, which is why you were the first to join his crew. Over time as your crew gained more members, you were a steady pillar of loyalty.
Loyal to your crew, your captain, and your captain’s stupid ass.
Some examples of your daily hourly conversations:
“If you could only eat one food for forever what woul-“
“Meat.” Luffy cut you off.
“Too broad be more specific.” You smack his chest lightly, it’s late at night and you’re both stargazing on the main deck.
“Cooked meat.” Luffy said after thinking a moment. “You?”
“Hmmm Ice cream. Or potatoes.”
“Mmmm now I’m hungry. Lets ask Sanji for a snack.” Puffy starts to stand but you yank him back down.
“Can’t remember, he’s still mad at us for putting a regular carrot in the bin with the baby carrots so they’d have adult supervision.” You laugh together as he lays still, the only time he can be still is if it’s with you.
Or.
“Nothing to see here,” You whistle lowly, trying to keep Nami’s attention on you as you whiddle. “Love being normal. Peak ordinary! That’s me, heh no problems here. No one’s ever been this average.”
“Are you sick or so- GODDAMN IT LUFFY!” She cuts herself off to try and whack your captain on the head, but it was too late, he’d already grabbed her slice of cake and ran off. The red head throws her book at you as you follow after him.
He saved you a forkful, the rest was gone the second he started running, but for you. For you he saved a bit.
Or.
“We didn’t come here to make friends.” Zoro says as he holds his blade to an enemy captain after a short skirmish.
“We came here to make Best Friends.” You interjected.
“Yeah!” Luffy gave you a thumbs up.
“Shut up you idiots or I’ll slice you!” Poor Zoro’s blood pressure was insane with the two of you.
Or.
“I’m not surprised you’ve gotten a bounty.” Garp sighs, tired eyes locked on Luffy. “But I expected better from you!” He rounds on you, shoving his finger in your face accusingly.
“Shishishi! Well that’s your own fault, nothing to do with me.” You and Luffy laugh as Garp chases after you. The old man doesn’t miss the way, Luffy looks back to ensure you’re still stride for stride with him or the way he takes the heated blows aimed for you.
But.
Overtime, your feelings are softer and softer for him, but you have no clue what this means. You notice the little things he does for you, the things he’s always done for you only. You watch him listen intently to Sanji’s flirting advice -that no one really asked for- and try not to feel weird about it. It’s only when Nami finally just announces that you’re both in love that you finally understand. A little.
“Duh.” Luffy says when she tells the crew.
“Yeah of course we love each other.” You agree wholeheartedly, but a small part of you wonders if that’s what she meant. Your suspicions are confirmed when she groans exhaustedly.
“No, you guys are IN love with each other.” Ussop says, trying to help her out.
“Huh.” Luffy says contemplating it, you don’t say anything for once. You don’t feel embarrassed, you never do really, but you do feel curious and warm. “Like married people?”
“Jumping the gun a little there, but yeah.” Nami says, feeling a little accomplished now.
“I don’t know about that.” You answer honestly, cocking your head as you literally roll the idea around in your mind. Luffy isn’t glaring at you, he couldn’t glare, but he’s certainly making a face.
“It makes sense.” Luffy announces, staring hard at you. “I mean I don’t wanna marry Hancock.”
“But you know that doesn’t mean you wanna marry each other.” Ussop interjects.
“Yeah it does, she just needs to ask.” Luffy says like it’s obvious, which frustrates his crew, except you and Robin of course. You aren’t even shocked by his answer, it did make sense, you didn’t want to date Sanji despite him asking multiple times. But if Luffy asked you wouldn’t say no.
“Luffy you know it’s traditional for the man to ask the woman, right?” Robin asks gently, though she knows the answer.
“Huh? Then why is Hancock always asking me?” Luffy looks to you for an answer, you shrug just as confused as him.
“No clue, i don’t think I’ve ever met a married person now that I think about it.”
“Huh me either, I’ve never noticed. Shishishi.” You and him laugh again, but this time his hand entwines with yours.
“God you’re impossible.” Nami shouts, stomping off.
“Those two are made for each other.” Ussop rolls his eyes as you and Luffy start talking about wether it would be better to be a bird or a fish.
“Yes, isn’t it lovely.” Robin sighs as she watches you.
ALL THE THINGS WE NEVER SAID | vinnie hacker
— MINORS PLEASE FUCK OFF FOR UR OWN GOOD —
after 3 years you finally reunite with vinnie but it's not how you would like
OLD BSF!VINNIE X FEM!READER
WARNINGS: NSFW CONTENT MINORS DNI, ANGSTY, + some fluff, sex, alcohol ment, drug use (weed), making out, grinding, praise kink, emotional cheating idk, slight possessiveness
word count: 2.5k <3
The air is so salty on LA beaches.
It burns the inside of my throat whilst chlorine fills up my nose and salt in my eyes but the waves are nicer than Seattle. Warmer too.
I can feel the sand bed on my toes and shells scraping the sides of my legs as I float out peering and the sky and the way the shades of orange and yellow melt away at the baby blue and how the sun looks so majestic at this time.
I’m still slightly tipsy from the drinks we had earlier but I'm not incapacitated, it's just a nice buzz, it reminds me of when I lay my head down in the grass and I can hear the tiny shuffling of ants.
But apparently I’m still drunk enough to not hear my friends shouting from shore for me to come back until I feel a hand on mine pulling me out.
“Jesus, I thought you were gonna drown out there.” It’s Harvey, I love Harvey. He always smells like strawberries and smokes with me without judging.
“I wasn’t, let me like the ocean in peace you guys are assholes.” I retorted but I didn't stop walking with him back to the shore with my friends.
I fall back onto the plush of the towel as Harvey joins everyone else in a game of beach volleyball.
Well everyone except me… and Vinnie.
Vinnie, the same guy that I was inseparable for 10 years, now seeing him for the first time in 3.
The same guy I fell in love with at 13 and who broke my heart at 17.
That Vinnie.
He’s sitting right in front of me in his shorts leaning back looking at everyone playing.
He has tattoos now and is much bigger. His hair is darker and face is more aged. He dresses better now and looks a lot happier but besides that he's still the same Vinnie.
I tuck my legs into my chest and rest my head on my knees, letting myself take in everything that changed about him to distract me from the cold wind tangling up my hair.
He finally looks back at me and something about it makes me still smile after all these years.
“M’ sorry I didn’t know you were gonna be here.” I mumble and then look away from him.
“Why are you sorry? I love seeing you.” He still has that same warmth in his voice that I fell in love with all those years ago.
“Just… I don’t know, I figured it’d be weird for you and her.” There's a maliciousness in my voice that I didn’t even know I could muster.
“Right… Allison.” He takes a deep breath, “ She likes you, don't worry!”
Allison, Vinnie’s new girlfriend of two months, she’s really sweet and a genuinely kind person but I can’t bring myself to like her.
I feel so pathetic, being in love with the same boy who hurt me all those years ago and who was able to move on whilst I stayed where I was. The same 17 year old stuck in bed the night Vinnie told me he loved me.
“Do you wanna go smoke?”
I don’t think I’ve ever said no to that question from Vinnie but now it’s different.
“Shouldn’t you ask her first?” I say averting my gaze from him and playing with my nails.
“She hates when I smoke so probably not,” He gets up and walks to me giving me his hand, “Get up.”
…
“Get up!”
“Vinnie fuck off this shit is broken.” I stand up and shove the skateboard into his chest.
“C’mon you barely even tried it’s actually very fun, please I wanna teach you!” He says beaming in the sun and smiling at me whilst I try to clean the cuts on my legs.
“You're a shit teacher, Hacker!”
We’ve been at this skatepark for four hours and the only thing I can do is go in a straight line and wiggle a bit and Vinnie knows how much I hate things I don’t get the hang of quickly.
“You're torturing me Vinnie, I’m gonna leave here with a cut off leg or something!” I cry out
“You're gonna be fine, I'm not gonna let you get hurt.” He pouts in a faux puppy dog face
“I hate you so much.”
“Stop being a pussy!”
…
“Stop being a pussy Vin.” He’s been dragging me to this secluded part of the beach for 5 minutes
“My girlfriend hates smokers, I really don’t wanna get into another fight tonight.” He sighs
Another?
“Why don’t you try to quit? I know you want to, you hate smoking.”
“It’s easier said than done- See we're here, you're just lazy!”
“Tell me something I don’t know, genius.” I half-joke
The view is nice, like really nice. It's so much quieter and less people means you can see the ocean without any distractions.
I lay down on the sand forgetting about the fact I'll be covered in it when I get up- That's a problem for me in the future.
He takes out a mini bong and packs it whilst I lay there and close my eyes.
This is nice, it reminds me of when we were younger. I was actually the first person to introduce Vinnie to weed and it kinda became our ritual, he would get the bing ready and I would wait patiently for him.
I can hear the bubbles and turn to look at him as he turns his head up, flexing his jaw and blowing the smoke out.
He always looks so pretty smoking.
“Do you ever miss it?” I ask, purposefully vague.
“Miss what?”
Us
“Seattle?”
“Yeah, especially during the summer. It’s hard to miss it that much when I come back every month to see my family.” He replies by passing the bong to me along with the lighter as I sit up.
“But you never come visit me?” I turn my head and he looks away into the ocean
“I know… I wanted to but everytime I mustered up the courage something would get in the way… Plus whenever I saw your pictures you looked happy, I didn’t wanna fuck that up.”
“So your solution was to invite to to the beach with your new girlfriend and all your old friends instead of I don’t know, talking to your fucking bestfriend instead of ignoring her for 3 years making her feel like she fucked up?” It come out in a condescending tone
Every sour emotion that I held against Vinnie is bubbling up. Every emotion I felt when I saw a picture of him with his new friends, when he got his first girlfriend in LA, when he won that stupid fucking match and didn’t even reply to my dm congratulating him.
“I know I fucked up trust me,” The bong is still in my hands, lying their idly like a forgotten childrens toy, “But even if I did talk to you whenever I would come back I wouldn’t even know what to say to you.”
“Oh fuck off Vinnie, you could have said anything, I was waiting for you to say anything. Apologies are two words but you couldn’t even muster that up? God I hate you so much.”
I don’t.
“I’m sorry,” He breathes in, “I’m sorry I stopped talking to you, I’m sorry I fucked everything up, I’m sorry I never actually told you how I felt, I’m sorry I made you feel like it was your fault, I’m sorry I ruined the friendship, and I’m so sorry I never said this earlier to you. Your my favourite person and I fucked everything over cause I was to scared of loving you.”
He breathes out.
We both just sit there in silence, I’m getting colder by the minute but I don’t move. The apology I waited 3 years for finally arrived but I don’t feel any better. I just wanted Vinnie to say something to make all the pain feel worth it and then everything to go back the way it was.
“It wasn’t entirely your fault for ruining the friendship.”
…
“You promise this won't ruin our friendship Vin.”
“I promise you, and you trust me so relax.”
His lips slot in between mine, he pulls me closer to him as my hands thread through his hair.
It’s rough. I should have bought him new shampoo for his 18th.
“Your lips are so soft, I love them.” He whispers to me in between kisses as I lay my body over his and he guides my hips over his dick, rutting into him.
“You suck as dirty talk.” I giggle before going back to make out with him.
I let my lips trail down to his jawline leaving faint kisses there as he holds me close to him so I can feel the way his chest rises and falls. My hands drag down his torso and then up inside his shirt. My kisses falter as they reach his neck and I start sucking love bites into them and hear his hiss and whimper above me.
“Feels s’ good baby.” He breathes out, letting his hands rest at my waist as his thumb circles the area soothing the skins there.
When I’m done he flips the two of us over so now he’s above me with my hands pinned to my sides.
He locks his lips into mine again, my whole body melts into the kiss, I lean into him, shutting my eyes, letting myself save the memory. I moan into his mouth as he pulls the kiss closer to him in a tantalizing fight for more dominance.
As he pulls back, his eyes meet mine and I get lost in the honey brown, I study the features on his face at this moment, intent to not forget a thing. He looks back at me with a small smile.
His hands free mine and let me hook my hands around his neck. I pull him closer to my body as he kisses down my neck whilst his hands go under my shirt.
“Say you want this baby.” His gasps
“Please, I need you so bad, I want you bad.” I beg
His hand undone my pants pulling them off leaving me in just my shirt and panties.
Vinnie lifts himself up to take off his shirt, letting my hands graze through his body as he undoes his belt and pants and throws them on the floor, then taking his dick out of his boxer, pumping it up in his hand whilst reaching over into his dresser for a condom.
I lean my head back and stare into the ceiling waiting for him before he pulls my panties to the side and slowly lets his cock stretch me out as I arch into his touch.
His pace is relenting, I clutch his shoulder for stability and cry out into his neck, his thumb is circling my clit, his free hand holds us up and his eyebrows are knitted together in focus even though his lips keep kissing my body to make sure I’m okay.
“Feel good, you're not hurt angel?”
“No, fuck, god no, feels good Vin.” I say, barely able to make any full sentences.
It’s not long until I cum under him, I drag my nails across his back and scream into his neck to make sure I’m quiet enough and Vinnie rides me out through my high as a gasp and falls back into his bed.
It’s not long after Vinnie comes and places a kiss on my forehead before getting us a towel and me some water to clean up. He gave me my favorite sweatshirt of his, a red Seattle shirt that I ended up cutting the collar off so it wouldn’t stay on my shoulder.
“I love you.” He whispers before laying his face into my shoulder.
I end up falling asleep in his arms as he pulls me closer to him.
In the morning I’m alone in his bed and in his house and I end up going back to my own, lying saying I was with a friend.
It wasn’t until that night until I got a call from Reggie telling me that Vinnie had left for LA last night.
I ended up giving Vinnie’s sweater back to Reggie.
…
“It might not have been my entire fault but I still left in the middle of the night, in my bed, in my shirt, without telling you.” He reminds me, snapping me back from reality.
I lie back down into the sand taking a hit of the forgotten bong and then placing it on my side, Vinnie copies me.
It’s quiet, I like it.
Back home me and Vinnie would always sit in the same room doing our own things, he would game whilst I’d play with Poncho or message my friends. Being in the same atmosphere was relaxing for each other.
Now it’s just tense.
“Vinnie,” I look at him, “Do you ever miss me?”
He laughs.
“Everyday, every time I go to the beach, every time my friends talk about love, every time I remember home you're always there. I don’t think I could ever not miss you.” He turns his head to look at me.
I really do miss him. I miss going to his house after a long day, I miss skipping classes together and smoking weed, I miss telling him everything. I miss him so much it hurts.
“Everything could have been so different.” I chuckle
“Yeah, we could have both still be in University together, we could have both still be in Seattle. Hell could have actually gotten together.” He laughs but I finally look back at him.
We fall back into our comfortable silence letting the ocean waves wash over us. It's dark out now and you can see the moons and the stars. It’s calming.
It’s a short lived calm however since his phone rings and he jerks up to pick it up.
I don’t listen until I hear him call the person on the line ‘baby’. It’s Allison… his girlfriend.
Our time ’s up, so I pick up my things which are just myself and a bong whilst Vinnie ends the call and we walk back to where everyone is in silence.
We get back and Allison runs into Vinnies arms placing kisses all over his face and tugs him down to sit at the bonfire.
I lean my head on to Harveys shoulder as I zone as I eat the burger he made for me but as I look up I see Vinnie staring at me but as soon as he sees me looking back at him he looks down at his plate.
Before we realize it turns to 1 in the morning and I’m ready to go to sleep. Harvey is dropping me off and Chloe is coming with us.
Vinnie is leaving with Allison as she drags him away but he stops as he sees me.
Before Vinnie leaves he gives me a bag with something inside and hugs me without saying a word.
It’s a hoodie. The hoodie. A red Seattle crewneck with a cut collar. The hoodie he gave me the night he told me he loved and then left. And he left again. Leaving me with nothing but his stupid hoodie and all the things we never said.
Genres: fantasy au, angst, fluff?
A/N: Helloooo atiny babies! HAPPY HONGJOONG DAY! I was supposed to be writing a four page paper on the odyssey and ended up being inspired to write this. What can I say? LOL :) Thank you for so much love with the previous hongjoong series as well <3
You lie on a bed of rocks near the shore of your island, listening to your older sisters gossip and giggle amongst themselves. They always talk about rather useless matters. Your tail glistens beautifully, each obsidian-colored scale appearing shiny when the dense clouds decide to reveal the bashful sun. The waves that crash over the rocks create a refreshing mist that dusts your grayish skin. The voice of your eldest sister interrupts your relaxation.
"Y/N, you have not joined us to hunt humans in a while. Have you become weak?" she asks sharply. Your other sisters giggle.
"No," you answer quickly. "I...I have just been thinking a lot. What is our purpose? Why must we kill humans? We do not even eat them." Another one of your sisters places her hand over her chest, surprised.
"Why must we kill them? Oh, Y/N, we are just helping the world. Men are vile creatures. They cause every problem. They destroy the world and then destroy themselves. We are doing the gods a favor."
"They cannot all be bad." You argue, cheeks feeling warm with embarrassment. Are you wrong to think so?
"Do not be foolish, Y/N. If you get yourself into trouble, I can only say I warned you," your eldest sister speaks again. You avoid her eyes.
"Look!" Another sister points to your left and all of you follow her clawed finger. A large ship approaches fast from beyond. Speak of the devil. Your sisters gasp with excitement. "This will be fun!"
"Y/N, come with us this time. It will be good for you," the eldest says. You reluctantly push yourself off of your rock and slide into the water below. You follow behind all of them, consumed with guilt for what is to come.
With just a few strokes of your strong tails, you arrive at the ship. You station yourself a bit farther behind everyone else as usual. One of your sisters mischievously splashes the surface of the water with her tail, causing a commotion for the humans on board to peer at. Just as she desires, a man comes to the railing, pointing and calling over his crewmates. One by one, more men join him at the railing and look on in fascination. With all of your tails now hidden under the dark water, they must think you are mermaids or sea nymphs. They do not fear you as they should.
The last man to appear at the railing piques your interest. He is similar to you, the way he quietly positions himself farther from the others in the group. While the onlookers pay attention to your sisters, you make eye contact with the man at the end...and you can't look away.
He is the most beautiful creature you've ever seen.
You cannot possibly stay and watch as your sisters kill such a beautiful thing. Ridden with guilt, you disappear below the waves and swim to the other side of the ship.
Once you surface on the other side, you hear a voice from above filled with concern. "Miss!" You look up to see the same human, looking down at you again from the other side of the railing. Why did he follow you instead of watching your sisters making all the commotion?
It is then that you hear them. Your sisters begin to sing, their voices like honey but dripping with venom as they lure their prey. You panic as the human turns his head toward the other side of the ship. You cannot let him die. They can't kill him. You quickly begin to sing a soft melody yourself. The human suddenly turns back to face you, entranced by your voice. Despite refusing to sing for quite some time, it comes naturally, your voice as sweet as always.
You continue singing, luring him with your sweet melody until he plunges into the waves beside you.
***
You had pulled the unconscious human to the shore of your island, your strong tail allowing you to arrive quickly. You hurriedly laid his body on the pale sand and retreated back into the water to watch him from a safe distance. How will he act when he wakes up? Your sisters have always told you human men can be violent and unpredictable...but you have only seen them under the influence of your enchantments. Besides, this human did not look at you in that way.
After observing him from afar for some time, you begin to get antsy. The human does not stir, just lies peacefully, chest rising and falling slowly. You cautiously swim closer, looking for any more signs of movement. Pushing yourself onto the shore, you sit yourself next to him. Now you are able to take a longer look at him, his eyes closed and his lips slightly parted. There is sand in his soft, wet hair, and his pale skin is flawless. He is truly the most beautiful creature you've ever laid eyes on.
"Hello?" you whisper meekly. No response. Curiously you draw closer to his face, touching his cheek slightly. When he does not move, you boldly trace your finger across his sharp nose and jawline, fascinated. "Pretty," you say out loud. A sound nearby causes you to look up, eyes darting around to look for any sign of a threat. When you don't see anything, you look back down at the human. His eyes are now slightly open, peering up at you. You gasp, scooting away from him.
"Wait," he says. His voice is angelic, so soft and light. He tries to sit up but holds his head, stifling a groan. You hurriedly move back to him, lightly touching his head in concern. Your eyebrows furrow together as you observe him, your thumb brushing over his temple gently. He stares at you in awe. "Did you...save me?" You look at him with wide eyes, nervous about talking to a human. You have only used your voice to sing for them, killing them one after another for as long as you can remember. You are afraid to hurt this one.
You decide to start with one word. "Yes." Your species has the ability to speak in any tongue in order to lure your prey with a song they can understand.
"I see, how—" You see his gaze land on your tail, eyes widening. "A mermaid?" he questions. Should you lie to him? You do not want him to fear you. Mermaids are a completely different species. Though you have similar anatomy, they have much more colorful tails, and they lack the ability to lure their prey with song. You must have taken too long to answer, because the man says, "Yes?"
"No." You look at him nervously before letting out another word above a whisper. "Afraid."
"Afraid of what?" You watch as his gentle hand comes to hover over yours. As his hand touches yours, you tense, but immediately relax at his warmth. Humans are warm. You forgot that they are, since their bodies soon turn cold after dying.
"Hurt."
"It hurts for you to speak?" he asks, his eyebrows furrowed with worry. Maybe now you can try more than one word.
"No. I do not want to hurt you." He tilts his head.
"Your speaking hurt—oh." He glances at your tail again. "You must be a Siren."
"Yes," you reply, eyes wide since he figured it out. Humans are intelligent.
"Why have you not killed me?" At this, your heart sinks. Is he afraid of you now? Maybe it was a bad idea to even interfere with your sisters' plans. What will he do when he realizes they killed his shipmates? You think about your words carefully.
"Killing humans was all I knew for a long time, but I do not wish to hurt them anymore. My sisters think there is something wrong with me." The man's eyes search yours with a gentleness you've never seen. Your free hand comes up to touch his face again, just as you did when he was still asleep. "Beautiful," you say suddenly. The human touches your hand that traces his face, looking at you with the prettiest brown irises.
Why do you kill these human creatures?
He draws closer. "Y/N!" The piercing voice of your eldest sister calls from the water. You pull away from the human, struck with fear. Following the fear comes a sudden jealousy. You do not want your sisters to see him. He is yours. "Y/N, have you finally killed something? Let me get a look!" She laughs, swimming closer.
You cage his body protectively with your arms and hiss at her. "Mine!"
"Alright, alright. But I want to hear all about him later." She smiles, disappearing into the dark sea. You turn to the human, fear evident in his features.
"You are not safe here," you say. Your guilt returns, the uncomfortable feeling arising in your stomach. "You must go home. I will take you back to your abandoned ship, and I will pray to the gods that you arrive safely home."
He seems hesitant, but he agrees. "Thank you for saving me. You are very kind." As he thanks you, the realization that you would be parting from him completely sinks in. An emotion you have never felt before begins to overwhelm you. You touch your face, wiping at a warm liquid that falls onto your cheeks. You look down at your hands with confusion.
"They are tears," the human says. "It happens when you are sad." You look up at his now blurry face, feeling more tears drip down your cheeks. "It will be alright," he says, using his thumb to wipe them away. He stops suddenly, proposing an idea. "Come with me."
Leave with a human? Humans and Sirens cannot coexist...can they? No human has ever left this island alive. But you could change that. After all, you have grown tired of your life here. Killing men and listening to your dreadful sisters every day is not what you desire.
If you cannot leave with this human, you would rather die anyway.
"Yes." You use the back of your hand and wipe away the rest of the strange tears coming from your eyes. "I would like that."
READ DAY ONE HERE
“knew i’d find you here.” kuroo quips, the sound of branches snapping following in his wake as he gets closer to you. you don’t bother looking up at him, your finger neatly tucked behind the page you were almost done reading. “you always did love to read like a book a day here.”
but he was always patient, joining you and sitting next to you on the rock you loved so much. it was right on the shore, hidden behind some overgrown bushes. your own lil spot to nestle in and hide from the boys whenever they got too rowdy. nothing but the sound of the waves chasing the shoreline. you and kenma usually found your sanctuary here but it didn’t take kuroo long to find your secret hideout.
“and how can i help you, kuroo tetsuro?” as soon as you finish the page, you turn it before closing the book on your finger — marking the spot you were on. you finally look up at him and a smile takes up his face, perking up that he finally had your attention.
“come join us for lunch.” he looks at you expectantly. you smile back, taking your bookmark and easily sliding it in place of your finger. the wind almost knocked it out of your hand but you were quick to clutch onto it. “then maybe we can go out on the boat. bokuto wants to go tubing.”
“oh god.” you groan, standing up. you stretch your limbs high up into the sky, your shirt riding up a bit and showing a sliver of skin. “remember the last time we went and he flew off? he said we abandoned him for days after that.”
“you did!” bokutos voice rings out. you whirl around and see him stomping over. “but i see how it is.
“anyway.” kuroo rolls his eyes. “iwa is going to take the boat, i won’t be joining you guys today.”
“what?” you couldn’t help but frown a little. kuroo had been glued to your side since you got here yesterday and a selfish part of you wanted to keep it that way. “why not?”
“i have some things to handle.” he sighs, sharing a brief look with bokuto before looking back at you. “the real world demands it.”
“oh. well, let’s go eat then so you can get back to the real world, then.” you tease, looping your arms with his and bokuto’s as you lead them to the cabin.
akaashi was already in the kitchen, giving you all a quick greeting as he finished slicing up some bread for sandwiches. you knew he wasn’t going to individually make everyone their own sandwich, but you appreciate him getting everything set up.
“alright, foods all prepped so come-“ akaashi starts, getting cut off by kuroo and boktuo racing toward the sandwich. bokuto never held any restraint when it came to food, and kuroo hated whenever bokuto took all his favorite food, so there was usually fighting involved.
you and akaashi share a knowing look as they bicker. some things never change. you smirk as iwa silently makes his way in between the two, grabbing his own things for his sandwich. miraculously, it shut them up and the rest of the process went smoothly.
“so what are we doing tonight?” you ask, wiping your mouth with the napkin as you finish your meal.
“let’s have another fire!” bokuto cheered, some food stuck to his cheek. akaashi hands him a napkin, which he graciously takes. only to crumble it in his hand. “we can tell more stories.”
“alright, we can do that.” you smile. you look over at kuroo who was intently looking at his watch. before you can say anything, he beats you to it.
“i have to go handle this work stuff.” he sighs, getting up. there’s a chorus of boos sung around the table and he just rolls his eyes, his hand patting the top of your head as you stick your tongue out at him. “none of that now kids, i’ll be back before you know it. have fun tubing!”
kuroo walked out of the cabin and headed towards his own, leaving you with the other boys. after a few more sandwiches and an outfit change, everyone was ready to hit the water.
tubing went as well as expected. iwaizumi was a great captain, steering the boat and trying to get bokuto to fall off again. he looked the part too – sporting a nice pair of sunglasses and a somewhat sinister smirk, thoroughly enjoying his role in driving everyone around.
the hot summer sun was beating down on you so you didn’t mind splashing into the water, letting it cool you down. bokuto on the other hand, resented everyone for it.
akaashi was pretty good at it, somehow managing to stay on. but no one could beat kuroo, who to this day has never been kicked off. everyone always teases him that cats hate water so of course he’d claw onto it, but really, he was a baby when it came to the open water.
you wondered what he was doing while you were all outside. a part of you felt sad that he had to be locked away in the cabin to handle some of his work, but you know how that can be.
a splash broke you out of your thoughts, your head whirring to the source only to find an empty tube and a disgruntled bokuto submerged in the water.
akaashi broke out into laughter as iwaizumi turned the boat around, ready to fish him out of the water you couldn’t help but giggle at him treading in the lake, a steady glare set on iwaizumi .
“so close.” iwaizumi smirks at bokuto as he climbs back onto the boat, absolutely drenched in water. his swim trunks stuck to his thighs, his arms crossed as he was shivering from the wind hitting against his bare skin.
“what happened to not falling off this year?” akaashi asked with a little smirk of his own. you just roll your eyes at both of the boys and go to pick up a dry towel.
“shut it!” bokuto snapped, a pout growing on his face. you give him a sympathetic look, feeding into his ego as you wrap the towel around his shoulders. “at least someone still loves me. thanks princess.”
“i thought you had it for a second-.” iwaizumi started, casting a glance at akaashi. “but someone told me to floor it.”
“akaashi?!” bokuto screeched his name, looking over at him like a wounded owl.
“i thought you could handle it.” he shrugs, knowing damn well he couldn’t.
“you guys are so mean to me.” bokuto sits on the chair and you quickly sit next to him, shooting a glare at the other boys.
“they’re just jealous, bo. you held on for the longest out of anyone today!” you nudge his shoulder with your own, a small smile growing on his face as he soaks up your compliment.
“yeah, you’re right! i did.” his smile grew as he puffed out his chest a little bit. the boys rolled their eyes at your antics but you didn’t care — you all knew the price to be paid when bokuto was feeling down so you did what you could to avoid it. they’d thank you later.
as everyone finished drying off a little, you looked out along the bay. thoughts swirling with memories from over the years once again as you feel the sun start to seep into your bones, warming you from the inside out.
your eye catches cabin number 2 and nostalgia wraps around you like a warm hug. even though that place had a sense of dread to it — you wanted to check it out. and since it was still daylight, it was probably the best time to go. right?
“hey, let’s go to cabin number 2!” you exclaim, pointing straight toward it. iwaizumi hums in agreement, already steering the boat towards it. the waves weren’t too choppy today, but it was enough to make you want to stay seated.
“wait!” bokuto yells, all attention falling onto him. “it’s, uh, you know, haunted! so, we shouldn’t go there.”
“what?” you turned to look at him. “we used to go there all the time. besides it’s the middle of the day, there’s no way a ghost would be out right now.”
bokuto looked at akaashi who just shrugged in response. bokuto sighed in defeat, sitting back down in his seat, shaking his head.
“fine. kuroo’s going to be mad we went without him.” was all he could say.
“so? we just won’t tell him and we can all go later, okay?” you look at him, a smile blooming on your face. “if you’re scared, i’ll protect you, dont worry.”
and with that, you all set off towards the cabin. the dock was in pretty rough shape but you managed to tie the boat down on it. iwaizumi hopped out first, holding out his hand to you to grab so he can help you down next.
but bokuto beat you too it, grabbing his hand instead.
“aw, thank you iwa.” bokuto smiled and batted his eyelashes at him as he got off the boat. iwaizumi scowled, rolling his eyes as he ripped his hand from bokuto’s, sending him towards the cabin with a playful shove.
“let’s try that again.” iwaizumi said, holding his hand back out. he gave a pointed look to akaashi who just held up his hands in surrender. you laugh, taking his hand as you land onto the dock. you look off at the cabin and start making your way towards it while you hear akaashi land softly behind you.
the cabin was the same as the last time you were here, maybe even a little worse for wear. the roof looked like it was caving in on itself and the porch was slowly rotting away. everything about it screamed for renovations, but no one has touched the place in years. you almost felt bad for it, in a way.
it’s a shame too, because it looks like it could be beautiful if someone had put the work in. but, the “curse” scared most people off. over the years, the group of you had tried to investigate it. half of you trying to debunk it while the other half eagerly tried to prove it. but you were all still divided on the matter and you wonder if you’ll ever get a chance to investigate it with them again – or if that chapter was closed for good.
iwaizumi was one of the ones that had always been against it, along with daichi. but even iwa looked a little on edge as you explored the grounds. your thoughts drift as you look around, wondering where all the time went. but then you remember one of the reasons why you wanted to come here, the book.
the last time you saw it, it was in the cabin. after narrowly avoiding a spiky bush, you make your way in, careful to climb up onto the porch that looked like it could give out any second.
“oi! what are you doing?” you heard iwaizumi shout. “get down before you get hurt.”
“i’m fine! i’ve done this a thousand times before.” you wave him off, making your way forward. you manage to get inside, the door still unlocked – if you could call it that. you distinctly remember bokuto breaking the handle one time you guys came here. he had gotten so spooked he snapped it right off.
you enter the cabin, looking around at all the dust collected linens that were wrapped around whatever furniture was still lingering around. you take a couple paces and look at the fireplace mantel – the last place you had seen the book.
but it was gone.
dust lined the mantel except for where the book used to be, a perfectly square patch of dust-free space. whatever happened to it, you can tell it was recently taken. you hear akaashi call your name outside and start to head back out, a defeated look on your face. the three boys were waiting for you.
“well?” akaashi asked, watching carefully as you make your way back down the rickety steps. they were all ready to spring into action if necessary. but the porch preserved another day and you made your way back down safely.
“it’s gone.” you look at him, a small pout forming on your face. “did one of you guys take it?”
“nope.” bokuto said, almost too quickly. but you shrug it off.
“that sucks.” you brush past them, looking around the property a little more. honestly, you don’t know why you used to be so scared of the place. everyone would come down under the veil of night which made it a little spookier but other than that, it just seemed like any other cabin around here.
the trees that lined the area seemed a little thicker than the ones you’re used to, the density looking more intense than the ones around your house, almost encasing the land like a small fortress.
your foot caught on something, causing you to stumble a bit. you easily catch yourself, looking down at the root protruding out of the ground. part of you wants to kick it for tripping you, but you hold yourself back.
a little ways away from the root, there were a few paw prints pressed into the ground, fresh tracks of some animal that had recently ran through. you crouch down to get a better look but they don’t look like anything you’ve ever seen before. it reminded you of chicken feet, but the size wasn’t right. these were far too large for that.
after looking at it for a moment, you move to go tell the others. but something stops you, ties you in place, body completely frozen. the air turned sour, something crawling into your windpipe and trailing down your throat. the hairs on the back of your neck rose up, sending your senses into overdrive. there was one thing that was very clear right now.
you were being watched.
“hey did you-” bokuto starts but is cut off by your yelp. you whirl around and see his face full of surprise. his face grew serious, standing protectively in front of you while taking a quick glance around. “what happened?”
“oh, nothing.” you look around nervously, your eyes searching the tree lines to see if your fears were valid. but there wasn’t anything there. “nothing.”
“didn’t sound like nothing.” akaashi said, coming up behind bokuto with an inquisitive look. he looked a little on edge as well – maybe the property was haunted.
“fine.” you huff, as iwaizumi joins you all. “i just felt like someone was watching me, that’s all.” the boys looked around as well, not finding anything that could be lurking. you roll your eyes, feeling dumber than you did before. “okay, let’s just get out of here, alright?”
the boys unanimously agree, everyone piling back into the boat and ready to decompress around the fire once again. you take one final look at the cabin, a chill running up your spine as you swore you saw something move into the trees.
kuroo came back an hour after you did, the sun setting as golden hour showered over him. you move to get up to greet him but bokuto beats you to it, rushing past you and pulling kuroo aside.
akaashi tries to grab your attention but it’s locked on them. it was clear bokuto was panicking over something, trying to keep his voice low as he rushed out his words. kuroo was listening intently, responding with the same sort of frantic urgency.
“what are they talking about?” you ask akaashi, not tearing your gaze away from them. iwaizumi looks over at them too, holding his knife as he stops whittling his stick – the one he deemed to be the new marshmallow stick.
“it looks serious.” iwaizumi nods. akaashi looks between the two of you before sighing.
“it’s nothing.” he concluded. “probably kuroo filling bokuto in on the work call he had. it was with the jva and bokuto likes being in the loop.”
you nod, accepting his answer. akaashi gets to work on lighting the fire, suddenly setting it ablaze. the kindling from the stick iwaizumi was whittling catches light as it comes to life. the crackling overpowers the silence, drawing you in as you feel a protective warmth wrap around you.
“you always make the best fires.” you smile, holding your hands out toward the flames.
“my little secret.” he smirks, holding up the little blowtorch he uses to light the kindling.
“don’t ever let bokuto or kuroo touch that.” you laugh.
“way ahead of you.” he points to the mini label on it, one that very clearly says : AKAASHI’S. DO NOT TOUCH.
“and that works?” part of you wonders if akaashi is just stealthy enough in general to hide it’s existence altogether.
“surprisingly. but honestly, i just don’t think they’ve figured out how to light it.”he shrugs, tucking it away for now.
“sounds about right.” you both reclaim the seats you took last night. the evening chill was starting to set in and prickle against your skin. as if he had a sixth sense, kuroo came by and gave you a blanket before taking his seat next to you. you give him a small thanks and he just smirks at you.
“don’t need you stealing my flannel every night.” he teases. you roll your eyes, a sinking feeling in your gut. you wrap the blanket around your shoulders and already miss the warmth that his flannel brought, not to mention the cozy scent of his cologne.
tonight was a little tamer than last night, the events from earlier tiring you all out. kuroo seemed to have the most energy and went on to talk about one of his many stories.
“get this,” he started. “i gather all the best players from our generation and have them all face off in a giant match.”
“oh, i’m IN!” bokuto exclaimed.
“that sounds like it could be fun.” iwa nods, “if you can keep everyone in line.”
“well , that’s why i have you, isn’t it?” kuroo teases. iwaizumi can’t argue with that so he opts to take a swig of his beer, quickly finishing it and crushing the can.
“sounds like i have my work cut out for me.” he sighs, getting up. “i’m gonna head to bed early, don’t wake me unless someone is dying.”
“but-.” bokuto starts, his mouth full of marshmallow. iwaizumi shoots him a look, effectively ending whatever conversation he was about to strike up. you can’t help but laugh, waving iwaizumi off to bed. the rest say their goodnights and everyone slowly starts giving into their exhaustion.
akaashi and bokuto head off as well. bokuto gives one last look to kuroo who just nods in response. you look at them inquisitively but they just ignore it.
“ready to go to bed, princess?” kuroo asks, putting out the dying fire. you nod, standing up, wobbling as your heel presses into uneven ground. kuroo’s quick, catching you by your elbow and steadying you on your feet. the proximity throws you off and you're looking up at him in awe. “careful, don’t go falling for me just yet.”
“oh i-,” you watch as his smirk falters for a second, wondering if his flirting had gone too far but you quickly break out into a smile. “wouldn’t dream of it.”
“atta girl.” he laughs, backing up a bit to give you the space you didn’t want. you just roll your eyes and start heading back up to the cabin, kuroo in tow.
the day winded down and so did you – or at least, you tried to. that looming feeling was back as you started getting ready for bed. invisible eyes resting over every inch of your skin, trying to poke and prod for your attention, almost beckoning you to find them. something pricked at the base of your neck, a silent alarm telling you to stay sharp.
fear twisted in your gut, pushing against your body as it tried to find a way out. it was never like this here, never any uneasy feelings or anything to be scared with. the lake was always a fun place to go for the summer, nothing but laughter with the boys you had grown to love so much.
but now, something wicked was seeping into the fond memories you held, threatening to consume it with viciousness. you just hoped that was the end of it. your mind races back to what you saw in the woods, doubt washing over you as if you had made it all up.
“hey do you-.” kuroo’s voice rang out in the otherwise deadly quiet cabin. you were so lost in your thoughts that you forgot he was here. you let out a squeal as he speaks. “easy there, it’s just me. you okay?”
“i’m fine.” you rush out, heat rising to your face. “you just scared me, that’s all.”
“didn’t realize i was so scary.” he laughs lowly, taking a step closer. “but i don’t buy it. you’ve been on edge ever since you came back from your boatride.”
“no i haven’t” you lie as he looks down at you expectantly.
“yes, you have.” he lets out a sigh, rubbing the back of his neck. “look, bokuto told me you guys went to the cabin and that something had you freaked out.”
“that little tattletale…” you trail off before look back up at him. the sincerity in his eyes throws you off, not expecting him to take everything so seriously. “it was stupid.”
“no it’s not, tell me.” he urged. there’s a loud snap outside, and you practically jump into kuroo’s arms. instinctively, he wraps his arms around you, soothingly rubbing your back. part of you felt embarrassed, heat rushing to your cheeks. but the other part of you didn’t care, safety nestled in his arms. “okay, seriously, what’s going on?”
you hide your face in his chest, not letting up from the hug. he lets you calm down for a moment. everything was telling you to run, your body on high alert. all you wanted to do was lay your head down on the soft pillow and wake up fresh in the morning – all of this unease set far behind you.
“it felt like someone — or something — was watching me. and i’ve been on edge since.” you sigh. you can hear him gulp, nervousness trickling into his own body.
“oh.” he says and you immediately want to kick yourself. “don’t worry about that, i’d never let anything happen to you.”
and you believe it. you nod as he pulls you closer, letting him hug you once again. you can breathe a little easier.
“can i-“ you clear your throat, trying not to sound so small. “can i sleep with you? in your bunk?”
“oya? what’s this?” he pulls back, a teasing smirk on his face. you roll your eyes. you should’ve expected that.
“not like that, kuroo.” you break off from the hug and ignore his pout. “if you’re gonna be annoying about it, i can go see if iwa-“
“no!” he rushes out, eyes widening in surprise at his own little outburst. he clears his throat. “no, of course you can bunk with me. it’s your cabin after all, you can sleep wherever you want.”
“thank you.” you smile as he rambles, climbing into his bunk. kuroo takes a moment to catch his breath before joining you.
the bunk was narrow, barely enough room to fit two people in it, but you made it work. you move around to get comfortable, shoulders pressed together as you lay side by side. it was the best it was going to get given the circumstances. after whispering a quiet goodnight to each other, you try your best to drift off to sleep.
at some point, both of you had pivoted, his arm wrapped around you while you moved tucked into his side. you had only dozed off for a little bit – the summer sun draining you of your energy earlier. but now that you woke back up, there was no way you could fall back asleep now.
sleeping next to kuroo simultaneously made you feel more at ease and yet somehow still nervous but for an entirely different reason. the prying eyes from earlier melted away the more you nestled into the safety of his side.
but it only made you realize how good he smelled, how much you enjoyed his strong arm wrapped around you. the safety comes at a price — your sanity.
it was hard to tell if he was awake still or not, the room being too dark for your unadjusted eyes. part of you wanted to call out his name and find out but then what? all you really wanted to know if he was feeling what you felt.
“hey kuroo?” you barely breath out, just in case he was asleep. he hums in response, the vibrations traveling to your cheek where it rested on his side. “you awake?”
“i am.” he whispers back, tiredness seeping into his tone and bringing it down a few levels. you move a little closer, trying to see his face. the room was so dim you could barely make him out until you were almost right in front of him. he offers a small smile, his eyes carefully watching yours.
the tension was thick, clogging your throat and taking away all the words you wanted to say. he must’ve felt it too because he opened and closed his mouth a few times. the tight space had you feeling comfortable with him already, a sense of closeness you hadn’t really shared with him before that gave you the sense of security you needed.
“hey kuroo?” you whisper again, he hums in response. “is this okay?”
before he answers, your leg wraps over his own, nestling further into his side. he stiffens for a moment before relaxing in your hold.
“yeah, uh, that’s more than okay.” he pulls you in closer so you’re curling against him now. his chest steadily rises up and down, but you can feel his heartbeat accelerating. you smile softly, enjoying the effect you have on him, one that no doubt mirrors your own.
“what about this?” you slowly adjust your body so you're laying on half of him, your bodies pressing together. he swallows thickly as he feels the heat from your cunt against his thigh.
the room was spinning and he couldn’t take it anymore, a thread of control snapping as he feels your body so close to his. he wanted more, and so did you.
“kuroo have you-” you pause, catching your breath, trying to settle your racing heart. “have you ever thought of me as more than a friend?”
“you kidding?” his breath hitches, “i’ve always had a thing for you, i just figured you didn’t feel the same.”
“really?” you breathe out, your heart beating out of your chest. “no, i feel the same way.”
his fingers dig a little deeper into your hips, pulling you flush against his body. your core brushed against his hardness. the sheer length of it had your cunt clenching around nothing, something warm spreading through your body and melting in your abdomen.
“feel that?” he groaned, “that’s what you do to me.”
you didn’t get a chance to say anything, his lips crashing against yours in a fiery kiss. you laid on top of him, mouth moving against his as your head swirled in a haze. the tip of his tongue swipes along your bottom lip, begging to be let in. you open your mouth, letting his tongue explore your mouth and invade your senses.
his hand cusps the back of your head, bringing you in closer so he can kiss you deeper – not wanting a moment to go to waste. he’s been waiting for this moment for so long, and he was planning on soaking up every minute of it.
your hands caress his face as you continue to kiss, breathing into each other's mouths as you grow more passionate, dancing along the brink of insanity. you wanted to fall with him, let this feeling carry you down whatever abyss it led to. as long as you were with him, you knew everything was going to be okay.
“kuroo-.” you gasp out, your palms pressing along his chest.
“yeah?.” his lips hover over your ear, his nose bumping against it as he moves down your neck — pressing little kisses against your skin.
he’s moving your hips against him now, ensuring you can feel the vein that runs along his cock. your mouth waters at the thought of putting him in your mouth.
“please,” you moan as your clit catches against his length.
“please, what?” he breathes, looking up at you with a hunger in his eyes that has a chill running up your spine. “you gotta tell me what you want.”
“you.” you gasp as he tug off your shorts, leaving you bare. you move so he can finish sliding them off you. “i want you.”
he hums, his palms sliding down your back, curling around your bottom before resting on the underside of your thigh.
“look at you, you’re all wet f’me.” kuroo rasped in your ear, his finger sliding along your entrance, collecting your essence. his eyes stay on you as he draws his finger back, putting it in his mouth and swirling his tongue around it, letting out a satisfied noise. “so, so good, so sweet.”
“kuroo, please.” you gasp out, needing nothing more than for him to give you what you wanted. what you’ve always wanted. “don’t tease me.”
“aw, but i’m enjoying myself.” he smirks, his hand trailing back down between your thighs. his thumb catches on your swollen clit, jolting at the touch. “and i think you are too.”
“but i need more.” you whine, your hand moving down his toned body.
“then why don’t you tell me exactly what you need, hm?” he asks, slipping his finger inside. you moan as he slowly pumps the digit in and out. “gotta use your words, princess. let that pretty little mouth tell me exactly what you need.”
“need you to fuck me.” you whimper, starting to ride his finger. you try to stay low on his chest, the bunks not the best place for this. but you were so ready, so needy for him, that you didn’t care.
“poor baby,” he adds another finger, starting to stretch you out. “need me to help you out?”
“yes! please kuroo-.” your fingers curl around the waistband on his basketball shorts, trying to tug them down. he lifts his hips, allowing you to slip them off along with his boxers.
kuroo’s cock springs free, landing against his stomach. your hand instinctively reaches for it, watching as it pulses with need the closer you get. you wrap your hand around him and let out a low hiss.
“go ahead then.” he watches you eagerly, moving his cock so you can slide it between your folds, trying to coat it with your slick. he groans, hips rutting into you slightly as you glide along.
the position was cramped and awkward, but the feeling of his throbbing cock nestled between your thighs made up for it. he pulses with need again, letting out a strained noise once you line him up with your entrance.
his eyes trail down from your face to where the two of you are finally connecting, watching himself bury his cock into your awaiting cunt. you both let out a moan as he bottoms out.
“shit-,” he groans out your name, hips digging into your sides. “so tight.”
“oh my god, kuroo-“ your eyes roll to the back of your head, feeling so stuffed full of him already. you gently rock your hips, the most movement you can muster up right now.
“call me tetsuro, please.” he bites his lip, trying to contain himself.
“tetsu-“ you mewl, feeling his cock twitch inside of you as you call out his name. “fuck me.”
he doesn’t respond, instead, grabbing your hips he starts to drive up into you. your moans sound so sweet as they wrap around his head, urging him to go harder. but he needed to have more control.
he moves to try and flip positions, but miserably miscalculates the small space that the bunks provides. the two of you fall off the bed — kuroo breaking your fall as you get dragged down with him. he let out a soft groan as his back hit the floor.
“shit! you okay?” kuroo tries to hold in his laughter. but you let out a giggle that he can’t help but let one slip as well.
“i’m fine.” you smile up at him, wrapping your arms around him. need still burned in your body, to feel him fill you up again.
“i’m usually a lot smoother but,” he looks down at you with a little smirk, successfully switching positions, his arms encasing your head as you lay on the soft rug. “oh well, i wanted you underneath me anyway.”
he lined himself back up, sliding back in with a groan.
“tetsu, s’full.” you mewl, tossing your head back against the floor. “keep going.”
and he does.
he leans down to kiss you once again, his hips moving quickly as his arm loops around you, pulling you closer to him.
“did you ever let sakusa fuck you, huh?” he asks, driving deeper into you, his tip kissing your cervix. the fullness sends your eyes to the back of your head, a low moan tumbling from your lips.
“n-no.” you choke out as he repeatedly hits that one spot. “just you, tetsu.”
“good.” he leans down and captures your lips with his, a hungry kiss from a starved man. he can’t stop kissing you, not even to speak as his words flow into your mouth. “you’re so good.”
“m-more!” your legs wrap around his waist, heels digging into him as you try to pull him in deeper. you clenched around him as he went faster, unable to hold back his groans.
“i’ve wanted you for so long.” he starts saying as he keeps fucking you. “as long as i can remember. but then you left for so long, all i could do was wish you’d come back here, come back to me.” he nibbles against your neck, leaving a mark in his wake. “and you finally did, and now i never want to let you go.”
“i’m not going anywhere tetsu,” you gasp, nails digging into his broad back. “just wanna be with you, that’s all i’ve ever wanted.”
“well you’ve got me.” he kisses you deeply, hips starting to move more erratically as he nears his end. but he can’t stop, his fingers moving down to your clit, twirling the nub between his deft fingers.
“fuck!” you whine loudly, back arching up into him as he brings you to the edge. “tetsu, i’m so close.”
“go ahead and finish around me, princess. let me feel you, please.” he starts to babble, mind hazing with pleasure. “need to feel you cum on my cock.”
you cry out his name, tightening around him as you finish. he fucks you through your orgasm, drowning in your sweet cries of his name. he doesn’t want this to end, but he feels his balls tighten, his hips stuttering against yours.
“m’gonna cum, fuck, where do you want it?” his voice cracks with need as he’s on the cusp of release, waiting for you to tell him what he desperately wants to hear.
“inside, please! tetsu, cum inside of me.” you whine, overstimulation starting to bite at you.
but the look on kuroo’s face as he came was worth it. his mouth hung slightly open, eyes flitting to the back of his head as he drives himself all the way inside of you.
he fills you with rope after rope of cum, quickly burying his face in the crook of your neck, groaning out your name. his cock pulses and twitches inside of you, trying to give you everything your cunt was sucking in.
after a few moments, he slumps onto you, using his elbow to try and keep most of his weight off of you. both of you have to take a minute to catch your breath.
kuroo looks at you fondly, sitting up a bit as he caresses your face. he pauses to give you a soft kiss, taking his time to pour his feelings into it.
“you’re so beautiful.” he pulls apart, eyes searching yours again. your feel heat rise up to your cheeks.
“tetsu.” you giggle, moving to hide your face behind your hands. he’s quicker though, gently holding your wrist and pinning it back to the ground.
“no, no. no hiding.” he smirks, pressing another kiss on your cheek. “too late for that anyway, you’re stuck in my sights.”
“fine.” you can’t help but smile at him, the look in his eyes making your heart feel warmer. “now, help me off the floor already.”
“sure thing, princess.” he gives you one final kiss, slowly sliding out of you. he watches his cum pool up at your entrance, threatening to spill out. he quickly pushes his fingers in, mesmerized. “don’t want to make a mess, though.”
“tetsu, please.” you whine at the feeling. he retracts his fingers with a light laugh, opting to grab your shorts off the bunk and helping you put them back on. he grabs the shirt he was wearing earlier and slides it over your head.
“come here.” he practically purrs, pulling you off the floor and into his arms. “i’ll even tuck you into bed, all safe and sound.”
“you better.” you laugh, resting your head on his chest. it’s over all too soon as he lays you down into his bunk, sliding his shorts back on before crawling in next to you.
“goodnight princess.” he smiles, tucking you into his side and pressing a kiss against your forehead. you nuzzle into him, finding sanctuary in his arms.
“goodnight tetsu.” you yawn, curling your arms around him before dozing off.
but sleep shortly escaped you, disturbed by the sound of crying coming from the distance. kuroo must’ve heard it too because he was sitting up in his spot next to you, listening intently like a poised dog ready to run.
“what the hell?” you ask, sleep coating your words. “tetsu, what’s going on? what is that?”
you can feel your blood racing, your heart working overdrive. kuroo didn’t move, didn’t answer you. instead he just looked towards the direction of the noise.
part of you wonders if he feels what you’re feeling. the adrenaline starting to course through your veins, fear trickling into every crevice of your body. there was some oddity to it all, the way the noise petrified you but was also distinctly familiar, like something from your dreams. or nightmares.
you shake your head, reaching out to touch kuroo’s arm. he finally blinks, finally looking back at you, broken out of whatever trance he was caught in.
“let’s go see.” kuroo suggests, starting to get up. he’s putting on his socks and grabbing another shirt, looking back at you who's still firmly in place. “you coming?”
“tetsu, this is how people die in horror movies.” besides it all, you can’t help but make a little joke right now. fear was warping your mind, making everything seem like it wasn’t quite of this realm.
“you scared?” he slips the shirt over his head in one easy movement before grabbing your pants and tossing them to you. you stare at it for a moment before you get up to get dressed.
“no.” you lie. or partially lie, because a part of you did feel a little curious about what was making that sound. in a few moments, you’re dressed and ready to go, taking kuroo’s outstretched hand.
“let’s go.” he grabs a flashlight, and leads you out of the safety of your cabin. as soon as you stand outside, everything becomes more real. the noise grows louder with each step you take, something swirling around in your gut as you get closer.
kuroo gives your hand a thoughtful squeeze but has no hesitation as he presses forward. you admire his confidence in a time like this, the focused look on his face, curiosity swimming in his mischievous eyes. you can’t help but get a little distracted along the way.
“it sounds like it’s coming from oikawa’s cabin.” you whisper, looking up at kuroo. his face was still stern, but his worry lines started to take place. “maybe we shouldn’t-.”
“no, we need to see if iwaizumi is alright.” he says, “and i’m not leaving you alone.”
“tetsu, you’re scaring me a little.” the wind races past you, shoving you forward. you freeze, not letting kuroo walk anymore until he tells you what’s going on. “talk to me.”
“it’s a long story,” he gulps, “we need to get everyone together and then i can explain everything okay? i thought we’d have more time.”
he said the last bit under his breath as he pulled you behind him. you had no choice but to follow him.
“more time?” you ask but you’re meant with silence. there was a loud thwack, followed by a blood curdling scream that sounded far from human. “tetsu-.”
everything happens so fast. kuroo takes off in the direction of the scream with a vice grip on your hand.
something raced off in the woods beside you as kuroo dragged you along. your attention shifts, trying to find it again but it’s almost as if it was running alongside you — weaving in and out of the trees, hidden from sight. but you could hear it.
there was a sickening crunch as you saw the creature soar through the air. iwaizumi was standing in place, holding up the baseball bat he had just used to hit it.
“did you guys see that? what the hell was that?” he asks, whirling around towards you and kuroo. “you guys alright?”
“come on we need to get to bokuto’s.” he says, turning around and leading you away from there. he had your hand in a vice grip right now, you couldn’t break out of it even if you tried so you just went along with him.
“hold up!” iwaizumi calls out, his voice strong and filled with a simmering anger that had ice filling your veins. “explain.”
“i’ll explain when we get to bokuto’s!” kuroo fires back. the three of you dash through the forest, across the cabin properties. you can hear something running behind you.
you couldn’t look back even if you tried, keeping up with kuroo and iwaizumi was enough of a challenge. your heart was beating out of your chest, confusion swirling in your mind.
whatever attacked you guys wasn’t human, you weren’t even sure if it was from your world — if that was possible. so many questions popped into your head.
but the one that bothered you the most was, how the hell did kuroo seem to know about all of this?
Suicide
If when she tries to run away / And he calls her back, she comes / If there's a next time, he's okay / Cause she's under both his thumbs She'll limp along to his side / Singing a song of ruin, I'd / Bet he says nothin' doin' / I'd, I'd call it suicide
This is likely one of the first songs Paul ever wrote. It predates Rock 'n Roll washing up onto the Mersey shores and the tingles that started going up and down Paul's spine. Not yet acquainted with his "confidante", Paul's earliest compositions were done instead on his home piano.
This particular tune seems to have come about around Paul's fourteenth birthday, in mid-1956. It is not known how this song sounded at its genesis: did it already have the lyrics, or was it like the contemporaneous "When I'm Sixty-Four", for which he originally had only the tune?
We hear "Suicide" for the first time in the Get Back sessions, with complete lyrics and John joining in right from the first verse. From Paul's comments on the song, it does seem like he had the lyrics in mind from the get-go:
That was a song I’d had forever, since I was about 16. I had my Dad’s old piano at home, that I used to tinker about on when there was no-one in the house. And my feelings were, then, that if you were ever going to be a songwriter, the height of it all was Sinatra. That would be the greatest stuff that you could do, really a little bit before rock ‘n’ roll, so you were thinking of standards and things. So around that time I wrote “When I’m 64” and this other thing. I thought it would be a bit of a Rat Pack, smoochy, with words like “When she tries to, run away, uh-huh…” Boom! And stabs from the band, you know.
— Paul McCartney, in the McCartney - Archive Collection (2011) liner notes.
I'm curious about the timing because, in usual McCartney fashion, we have quite dark lyrics being camouflaged by a jaunty little tune (à la "Maxwell Silver Hammer", "Another Day", etc.) And they are made even darker if they were written by a fourteen-year-old boy.
When I first heard of this song, I assumed, based on the title, that it'd been written after Mary's death. So I was quite surprised when I saw its origin dated to potentially even earlier than that (although I don't really know what information these estimations are based on).
Regardless of the exact date of origin, this song had been on my mind since I heard it brought up in @anotherkindofmindpod's Fine Tuning: Ep 2 Shoulder to Shoulder. Together with Ep 4 Shells & Barriers and the wonderful analyses that emerged from it, I've been wondering about what influenced teenage Paul to write a song about a woman trying (and failing) to escape an abusive marriage. From @bidisasterhawkeye's contribution to the aforementioned post:
For those unaware, Paul's mother had a quite tragic background. The second of four children, her younger sister Agnes died at age two (cause unknown) when Mary was around eight years old. When Mary was ten, her mother died giving birth to another baby girl (who also died). At that point, Mary's older brother left their home in Liverpool to join the army and Mary's father took Mary and her toddler brother, Bill, back to his home country of Ireland. In Ireland, they apparently lived in extreme poverty as Mary's father tried and failed to become a farmer. Ten year old Mary was apparently not enrolled in school there because she was given the role of homemaker and mother to her baby brother. When Mary was around 13, her father went to Liverpool and acquired a second wife with children of her own, and this new stepmother was apparently "cruel" enough that Mary ran away at age 14 (as did Bill later).
I might have seen it mentioned somewhere around here recently (please let me know if you know where!), but it's curious that Paul wrote about women running away in "Suicide" and "She's Leaving Home", when his own teenage mother went through the same. The latter song seems to apply better to Mary's situation at fourteen. Whose story is Paul telling in "Suicide"?
Maybe it's not that deep, and "Suicide" is indeed only a joke song. Paul certainly seems to want us to believe that:
It was a real early song of mine, and I used to do it as a joke, really. […] So I never did anything with it but around the time of McCartney, I was just goofing around on piano and at the end of one of the takes there was a little bit of tape left, so I just did it and didn’t think to use it because it was Rat Pack, tongue in cheek. But I used that little fragment at the end of one of the tracks, ‘Glasses’.
Haha, good ol' Paul, goofing around with a meaningless little tune called "Suicide" right around the same time stuff like this was happening:
I was going through a bad time, what I suspect was almost a nervous breakdown. I remember lying awake at night shaking, which has not happened to me since. One night I'd been asleep and awoke and I couldn't lift my head off the pillow. My head was down in the pillow, I thought, Jesus, if I don't do this I'll suffocate. I remember hardly having the energy to pull myself up, but with a great struggle I pulled my head up and lay on my back and thought, That was a bit near! I just couldn't do anything. I had so much in me that I couldn't express and it was just very nervy times, very very difficult.
— Paul McCartney, in Barry Miles' Many Years From Now (1997).
I'll leave further ruminations on the emotional implications of "Suicide" to your discretion. Or we can take a page out of Lewisohn's book and simply conclude:
But though the words wanted work (and didn’t get it), ["Suicide"] was a charming little tune, a dance-band piece with a dash of modernity, light, engaging and original … quite exceptional for a first attempt by a boy on the cusp of 14.
V having an internal crisis cause reader wants to go to the pool/beach and he’s just like: “Oh my god I could see them in their swimsuit they’re gonna look so hot-” but also “I CANT FUCKING SWIM :’)”
Will V’s horny overpower the embarrassment? Who knows
For the first time in his life; twenty-three long years on this bitch of a planet, V realizes he's made a mistake.
"It's going to get pretty hot this summer. You don't want to go to the pool to cool off?" "I understand you're scared, but knowing how to swim can be crucial to your survival in a worse case scenario."
He's well aware of that now. Cruelly so, the harsh reality stabs him through him after all this time like a predator in wait as you show off your most recent impulse buy. He had half a mind to have you put it on right away and jump in the shower if you wanted to get wet so badly, but his fiction-driven fantasies wouldn't allow him an easy win.
You at the beach - soaking up the sun's golden rays, exposed skin glistening from your time down at the shore. It was the perfect op sneaking some folder worthy photos of you, which you'd be well dressed for. While he felt his tongue could be an alternative, you would need something to protect yourself from the heat and someone to apply it on you. V was more than happy to cover both fronts; only problem then was the fact he missed the gene in that made him a natural born swimmer and refused to learn. He couldn't have you find out he couldn't swim or it might lessen his chances. He had to act fast.
V express his genuine excitement as you show him the swimsuit, but when you suggested going to the beach he tucks his head into his shoulder and clutches his arms. "The beach? That sounds could be fun.... I guess, I'll just have to stay on the sand."
You put the swimsuit back in its bag as he speaks. "How come?"
V jams his thumb into his forearm, voice strained. "I had a cousin that drowned when I was a kid. Swam out to save him, but I didn't make it in time. It still haunts me to this day."
"Oh, I'm so sorry... We don't have to go.."
"No!..." V sniffles and dabs at his face with his sleeves. He reaches out to you and grabs your wrist. "I want to go. For him. Baby steps, you know? If you're there I should be okay."
-
Later at the beach, you join V laying out on the towel you brought to sun dry. He insisted you go enjoy yourself instead of hanging back with him, but not before he helped you put on yet another layer of sunscreen. You hope he got good use with his camera since he was so excited to bring it. You try to hold your tongue, but the question refuses to leave your mind.
"What was your cousin's name?"
V, focused on more important tasks at hand, pulls out the bottle sun lotion again. "My what?"
Tatooine and Skywalkers
I was thinking about Obi-Wan, Luke and Tatooine and realized that despite Obi´s constant complains over the planet and uncle Owen, it was Obi-Wan´s idea to bring baby Luke to Tatooine and make him survive the planet because Anakin was able to do so as well, so Luke had to show he could, as preparation to be able to defeat Vader acording to ROTS novel.
Obi could have chosen literally any other planet, Alderaan, Corellia, etc and even bring over Uncle Owen or Aunt Beru to take care of Luke but no, Luke had to survive Tatooine as a rite of passage or something like that.
So while I feel bad for Obi here you kind of made your bed mister.
About Luke and Anakin experiences on Tatooine:
While Ani certainly liked to have his own adventures and play with Kitster and Wald, he had more than enough being a slave, having a bomb inside his body, hidding threepio from Watto, developing his own detector of bomb chips to take out his and his mothers, escape with his mother in a podracer, of course until QuiGon and Padme told him they needed help, protecting himself from your usual pirates, hutt soldiers, tusken raiders who are always around Tatooine and protect his Mom from abusers while he was at it. He used the same slave system to protect her and others "It´s a shame you can´t kill me because then you would have to pay for me"
It´s LUKE the wild one who believes Tatooine is boring and he absolutely needs to have adventures elsewhere, join the imperial army and the rebellion after that, because he just had enough of shooting at giant rats from a distance and being given shores on the farm by his uncle. Sure there are Hutt soldiers around sometimes but there are also imperial soldiers so the Hutts no longer have as much influence on the planet as they used to have. Luke only comes back to Tatooine to rescue Han and turn Jabba´s base of operations to ashes before going to DS II to talk his Dad out of the darkside.
Like I love Anakin and Luke´s similarities but something I also love about them are their differences.
Anakin is totally willing to work within a system he doesn´t like if he doesn´t have other choice and he can adapt some of it´s characteristics to his and his loved ones benefice until he can fix it enough to make it better for everybody.
Luke is of the mind that if he doesn´t like a system he is totally willing to leave it or bring it down, with explosions if he can involve them.
Tatooine was instrumental in teaching them this. I love that for them.
