gotta say. i have been reading the world is beautiful indeed and it is absolutely my favourite thing that i have read lately. you and your coauthour both have such a talent not just for writing in a way that is extremely pleasing and enjoyable to read but for capturing like. the atmosphere of pathologic in a way that's hugely difficult to express in words. fully vibrating with anticipation for the next chapter
saw this message but delayed replying bc I was planting trees in my yard (you can tell I am proud of that, I hope my babies grow up strong and bear many fruit)
Thank you!!! We are so very honored to receive such feedback. It's just so wonderful and inspiring to know one's work has found avid fans.
What a huge project this one has turned into, next chapter it will probably be over 100k 😳.

lowkey highkey i wanna rant
so i'm roommates with two rich white girls. one's a vegetarian and one's a pescatarian. this is important.
so i've been getting a lot of flack from them about the meat industry and how it's producing a lot of carbon waste. and those are all valid. meat does produce a lot of carbon waste.
and i was talking about a class i had and how, oddly enough they found more carbon waste production in crop farming. i thought that was weird and cool. so i told them and they were like "that's because they didn't remove the carbon waste from animal production"
i don't know what to do or say. because this was a peer reviewed paper that my professor coauthoured. my professor who has a phd in animal husbandry who worked with those who have phds in agriculture.
and this isn't like a weird thing. you'd expect a lot of carbon waste from crops because there are so many crops.
and not just that. bacteria is producing all of this carbon waste due to decomposition. its not unexpected especially when you have a lot of crops. most of crops are inedible.
and so my roommates kept talking about how everyone should be vegetarian or pescatarian. and i was thinking to myself about how the reason why we have animal farming is to turn stuff we can't eat (grass and crop waste) into things we can: meat.
and like i lowkey was screaming inside. and they kept talking about if i ate less meat then they could eat meat. and i'm like, girl there ain't no shortage of meat.
so this is a first world problem. i get it. but like. they act so high and mighty about their lifestyle and like they throw away so much fruits and vegetables. i saw a whole cassava root in the rubbish bin. it wasn't even the compostable bin. it was the plastics.
you know the compostable stuff i throw away? eggshells. inedible peels. i eat as much of the food i buy as i can.

Raven Kaldera coauthoured 2 books, one called Broken Toys: submissives with mental illness and neurological dysfunctions, and a companion called Mastering Minds: dominants with mental illness and neurological dysfunction.
Personally, there are some pairings that are just going to take A LOT MORE NON-KINKY WORK to ever succeed. My personal example is a sub with no other partners, open to poly, high anxiety, depression, and PTSD; paired with a poly Dom with a strong bond to their primary partner, plus severe ADHD, and an unspecified personality disorder.
That relationship worked for a few years until it didn't, because neither person put in the non kinky communication and negotiation work. I'm not saying it's not possible at all, but I am saying that it's going to take routine - daily, weekly, quarterly, semester, yearly - check ins outside of the fun and need driven parts of the relationship to work, and work without adding to the wounds that both a sub and Dom carry.
Does anyone have resources about managing ADHD and/or chronic illness in a D/s relationship? I had someone reach out asking for resources I pointed her here for some ADHD resources
https://instructor144.tumblr.com/tagged/adhd
But wasn’t able to pul up any about chronic illness. I remember a blogger called Babydoll Belongs To Daddy had a post about chronic illness and D/s but she deactivated. Does anyone have a link to a reblog of that post by chance? Or other chronic illness D/s resources?
