ALSO, using the 8 episodes for nearly a whole year in the story timeline makes the Imogen/Sahar thing worse, because now here's the timeline:

End of October: the kiss happens, Sahar is hurt by Imogen's reaction

November to end of December: ???

End of December/Beginning of January: Imogen apologises to Sahar, Sahar confesses, they kiss

January to mid-April: ???

Mid-April: They talk about the kiss and decide to be friends.

In the moment, it only feels like a bit of time because everything is so condensed, but what actually happens is that the girls go through two months - 75% of which was at school - where they "haven't spoken properly" (even though they're supposedly still hanging out with the same group of people they always do), then they have something that does resemble a proper conversation, kiss... and then don't speak properly for another three and a half months??? Realistically not everyone has good communication, but this isn't miscommunication. This is just characters being put on pause until they're back onscreen again.

And it makes the other characters (chiefly Tara and Darcy, since they'd be spending a lot of time with the two) seem worse. All Narlie and Tarcy do is tell their friends to talk to each other, but no one can get through to either of them? S1 Tao could listen to reason from Nick but they can't do anything for Sahar and Imogen?
