Most people write AUs where James and Lily meet Ginny, but what about an AU where they meet Cho? That might be quite challenging to write, because Harry would like Cho very much at that point, but Jily would realise Cho was just using him as a rebound from Cedric... Anyway, just an idea!

hiya! this is a really interesting idea. I’m admittedly not to their part in my HP reread (I’m taking it at a snail’s pace because I’m also working through three other books atm like an absolute psychopath), but I can’t remember - is that the general consensus on Cho? that she was using Harry to get over Ced? I remember feeling like she got the short end of the stick a lot because of JKR’s very blatant he’s-not-going-to-end-up-with-her-so-whatever attitude.  not saying you’re lying or anything, but I'm genuinely just ??? when it comes to some of the later book stuff (except marauders lore heh heh) because I haven’t read it in a while.
