•Why do YOU, ms g <3, like dtmg?

La primera razón por la que amo DTMG es, sin duda, por la nostalgia.

Procedo a contarte sobre mi vida, así que prepárate para leer una tremenda biblia:

Estaba en primaria cuando comencé a ver la serie y, desde el primer momento, captó toda mi atención. Estoy segura de que mi familia estaba harta de mí  y mi gusto por un fantasma rockero JAJAJAJA. No seguía horarios ni me importaba qué canal poner, pero cuando descubrí DTMG, todo cambió. Me despertaba desde temprano, lista y emocionada, solo para ver si pasaban un nuevo capítulo. Gritaba, saltaba y me divertía muchísimo viéndolo.

No recuerdo muchas cosas de mi infancia, pero NUNCA voy a olvidar aquella vez que me puse a llorar porque mis papás decidieron llevarme a otro lugar JUSTO a la hora en que pasaban la serie. ¡Ellos lo sabían! JAJAJAJA. Lo malo de verla en la televisión era que SIEMPRE pasaban los mismos tres capítulos, lo que me hacía sentir un poco triste. Por eso, fue hasta hace poco que finalmente pude ver la serie completa, tanto en su idioma original como en castellano. Sin embargo, me deprime saber que hay muy pocos capítulos disponibles con el doblaje latino, amaba muchísimo la voz de Billy y Spencer :(

También me vienen otros recuerdos muy especiales, como cuando mi hermano me hizo creer que Billy Joe Cobra existía y que había muerto por una sobredosis. En realidad, él me estaba hablando del cantante real, pero yo entendí otra cosa por completo. Lo de la muerte, no sé de dónde salió, pero estoy segura de que fue culpa de mi hermano XD. Me acuerdo cómo buscaba imágenes de Billy en la computadora para después tomarle fotos con mi celular viejo y ponerlo de fondo de pantalla. AMABA DEMASIADO ESE CELULAR, y ahora ni siquiera sé dónde está.

Otro recuerdo que me encanta es cuando mi mamá me llevaba a la casa de una costurera. Mientras ellas platicaban, yo podía jugar con los hijos de la señora y aprovechar para presumir mi fondo de pantalla y hablar de Billy JAJAJA. Amaba ese lugar, me sentía libre y feliz.

DTMG solo me trae buenos recuerdos, de una época en la que era realmente feliz. Disfrutaba muchísimo de ver la televisión sin preocuparme por la vida adulta. Siempre fui una niña solitaria, y DTMG era mi manera de sentirme acompañada. Cuando la serie fue cancelada, todavía logré encontrar algunos capítulos en YouTube. A pesar del paso de los años, cuando me sentía triste o solo quería apartarme del mundo, me escondía bajo las cobijas y veía esos pocos capítulos que me devolvían la alegría que tanto necesitaba (´༎ຶ ͜ʖ ༎ຶ `)♡

Cada vez que pienso en esos recuerdos me llega un olor y sabor a jugó de naranja natural, vagas memorias de cómo era mi antigua casa con el jardín que tanto amaba y una pequeña Pan disfrutando de correr, saltar y mancharse de tierra. Mi hermano aun recuerda a Billy y me sigue molestando, diciendo “¡Aaaah! ¿Ese no es tu novio?”

(Oh, qué melancólico se puso todo esto, LOL. Me burlo de la personalidad diva de Billy y yo soy tremenda dramática AAAAA)

La segunda razón por la que amo DTMG es por el enorme potencial que tiene para ser explotado.

Ya no quiero alargarme mucho, así que trataré de ser breve. La serie era, en su momento, un simple boceto de prueba que, por ALGUNA RAZÓN, no captó la atención suficiente para dar el siguiente gran paso. La gente la dejó pasar como si fuera "una serie más", ¡pero SON UNOS WEONES!

¿CÓMO NO TE VA A INTERESAR UNA SERIE SOBRE UN FANTASMA? Un fantasma cuyo pasado sigue siendo una incógnita, con el detalle de que su mayor fan quiere secuestrarlo y nos deja con preguntas como: ¿Por qué lo hace? ¿Qué tipo de relación tenía realmente con Billy? Además, ¿cómo te atreves a decir que los personajes son "cliché" cuando la serie presenta una gran diversidad cultural? Tenemos algunas representaciones como la mexicana, japonesa, india, ¡y hasta los personajes de fondo logran captar nuestra atención!

AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHH

Incluso las primeras ideas y conceptos que se tenían para la serie son DEMASIADO BUENOS y llenos de contenido por explorar. Es frustrante que la gente solo se enfoque en un ship raro o que crean que es "una serie aburrida" sin prestarle atención a todos los detalles increíbles que ofrece.

¡O.M.G! Esta serie es simplemente INCREÍBLE y merece una segunda temporada. O, al menos, que nos den una canción completa de Billy.

3-Chico acrobacias

No lo sé, ¡siempre me ha dado risa! JAJAJAJAJA. (Olvide su nombre lol)

Es de esos personajes de fondo que simplemente no puedo odiar porque, sinceramente, me parece genial y divertido. Su diseño me gusta muchísimo y estoy segura de que, si lo conociéramos más, sería una persona muy tierna.

No tengo mucho más que decir porque necesito ver de nuevo la serie y prestarle más atención. Pero este personaje, en especial, siempre ha vivido en mi mente como si tuviera un papel súper importante en la serie JAJAJAJA.

2-Madame X

INCREÍBLE, MISTERIOSA, BELLA Y UNA COMPLETA FANÁTICA DE BJC.

Me encanta porque ella es un personaje importante en la vida de Billy. Su presencia me deja con este sentimiento de duda constante, con las ganas de saber más sobre ella y cómo le afectó la pérdida de su cantante favorito.

Es normal que pueda ver a Billy porque tiene cosas de él, pero entonces me surge la gran pregunta:

¿Cómo sabía de la existencia de Billy fantasma?

¡CHAN CHAN CHAAAAAN!

¡Ella me hace enojar porque de verdad QUIERO SABER MÁS DE ELLA! ¡Es frustrante lo intrigante que es!

1-Spencer

¡LO AMO DEMASIADO!

Amo su personalidad, sus aficiones, su resiliencia y cómo demuestra su cariño hacia su familia. Es imposible no admirarlo.

Además, he notado que en la serie dice algunas palabras en español, así que en mi headcanon (agregando a mi personaje), Pan, al ser mexicana, le ayudó a Spencer a aprender el idioma desde que era muy chico. Billy, por su parte, suelta algunas palabras o frases en español, pero es malísimo en ello JAJAJA. Aunque conoce muy bien de la gastronomía mexicana. Mientras que Spencer tiene la habilidad de entenderlo y hablarlo con mucha facilidad.

Mi amor por Spencer es tan grande que casi me hizo cambiar por completo la personalidad de Pan. Inicialmente, su apodo era Jenz, y en lugar de ser un self-insert, iba a ser un personaje completamente diferente:

Jenz sería alguien a quien le gustaba el terror y quería ser productora de cine de terror (ALGO QUE YO JAMÁS HARÍA PORQUE SOY IGUAL DE MIEDOSA QUE BILLY JAJAJA).

Después de conocer a Spencer, su relación se volvió muy cercana gracias a que compartían este gusto por el cine. Spencer la inspiró a seguir su sueño de ser directora y a dejar por completo la banda. Sin embargo, con el tiempo, surgió una riña entre Jenz y Billy (en esta historia, Billy no muere), pero a pesar de eso, Jenz siguió viendo a Spencer. Ahora, le pide ayuda con sus películas, lo cual la hace sentir orgullosa por su gran habilidad para imaginar cosas raras pero increíbles.

Spencer es mi niño bonito. Lo veo como a un hijo, y me dan tantas ganas de abrazarlo hasta que explote. ¡¡WUAAAAAAAAAAAAA!!

ESTA PREGUNTA ES MUY COMPLICADA, cuando realmente me gusta una serie es muy difícil escoger UN SOLO EPISODIO. Si o si me va a encantar todo o la mayoría del contenido, así que no estoy muy segura de mi siguiente respuesta:

Axe Maniac, Episodio 8

Gracias a este episodio, la pequeña Pan decidió que AHORA LE GUSTABA LA CREMA DE MANÍ. Nunca la he probado, el olor siempre me ha parecido algo mareador. Mi hermano y mi papá la aman, pero yo solo fui una fake fan JAJAJAJA.

Estoy segura de que este capítulo fue el que me hizo enamorarme por completo de Billy. Quería vestirme igual que él, cosa que nunca logré, solo pude robarle una chamarra de mezclilla a mi mamá JAJAJA. Eso sí, logré tener mis tenis rojos,  en primaria tuve un par (que desconozco donde quedaron) y más o menos por 2019 hasta 2024 use otro par. No los solté para nada solo porque LOS AMABA DE VERDAD. Lamentablemente, tuve que tirarlos porque ya estaban todos rotos... lloré internamente, pipipipi. Ahora estoy en busca de otros, tengo unos negros por #EMO pero no es lo mismo.

Hace poco, encontré este episodio en español latino, aunque en una calidad MALÍSIMA. Es alguien grabando la pantalla del televisor, pero bueno, no puedo quejarme porque está completo. No saben CÓMO GRITÉ ese día que lo encontré. (Ya lo descargué por si vuelven a borrar los capítulos en YouTube pipipipi, no quiero un MEGA LOST MEDIA).

Alright alright! Hello tumblr ! Welcome to my wacky world of ocs!

For the first Oc I would like to post to this blog would be my Mha Oc!

Name: Ryu Acevedo (Mothers last name, actual last name is Igarashi)

Age:

- Start of Mha: 14-15

- Pre-time skip: 16-17

- Time Skip: 25-26

Parents: Rio Acevedo a Puerto Rican woman with a seabunny quirk which allows her to use venom to attack others or for self defense. Reiji Igarashi, a previous pro hero who was in the No.6 spot before retiring. He was known as Aquatex the Hydro hero. He was a man with a Hydrokenisis quirk which allowed him to manipulate the water in his body and use it to form all sorts of stuff like water whips, Etc. This quirk also allowed him to move faster in the water, aswell as breathe under water, using the oxygen drawn from water to make his strength and endurance even more powerful. He’s good friends with Enji Todoroki and fairly close with their family.

Quirk: Ryu’s physical appearance tends to lean towards his mother’s “Sea Bunny” quirk, having ear like looking receptors that looked like really fuzzy black ears. He also has a black, soft little cotton tail behind him ! His quirk combines his fathers hydrokenisis along with his mothers venom ability, using the venom that’s produced to cover his skin, which if he touches anyone they’ll be paralyzed for a decent amount of time. He has to wear a black skintight upper body suit to make sure he doesn’t accidentally harm his classmates. This ends up calming down once he learns how to control his quirk better, only being a sort of tingly sensation, unless he actually wants to stun someone. Now back to the mix part! Whenever he breathes in oxygen from water, not only does this allow him to gain more strength and jump high, but also use the water in his body and mix it with the venom in his skin to shoot it out of his body (from his wrists) and out to opponents. This helps with long distance fighting!

Personality: Ryu has always been a very cheerful and kind person, although when he’s more relaxed and in a comfortable area he seems to be more reserved and quiet. He tends to be a very level headed guy, taking in as much information as he can to fully understand a situation. Overall he’s pretty mature for boys his age. Despite being a child of a hero and growing up around the todoroki family, he’s always stayed humble due to his mother. He’s rather sympathetic towards people who don’t have quirks, feeling horrible for them as they must feel out of place, which is one of his biggest fears. Despite all this he still tends to be pretty good at making friends and being open to others, a true Ambivert.

Welcome to Soe finally does a real devlog on Pink Pro (but first, she talks about something else) + little announcement!

This experience with jams has taught me that, as I am, the perfect deadline is a month and a half. If it's a full two months, I'll end up doing something else because "there's plenty of time", only to find myself doing it all in the second month/last three weeks.

BUT! It's not like I haven't done anything, what do you think?

[Part where I talk about other things]

🍨 In parallel with the development of Pink Pro, I collaborated with GrandPiekron on his This Tomb of Ours (Run and check it out, it's right HERE!).

It was great to be part of building a game from scratch and seeing it take shape! Maybe in the next few days, I could publish Erin's beta designs. Fun fact: Her sprite creation time was 10% sprite and 90% hair lock. As I already said for Clea and Aurel, the idea of making everyone bald is increasingly tempting.

At the moment This Tomb of Ours is not yet complete, literally only the ending is missing, but it is on its way. In the meantime, how about take a look at Doomstone, GrandPiekron's other game? It's complete, but I warn you that it's very dark.

🍨 My collaboration with @time-lapse-games continues, this time for a project that you will soon see on your screens.

Here, instead of sprites and busts, I am the main characters spriter and the betatester. When it's published, I'll obviously spam it here too!

🍨 As mentioned on Halloween, I'm getting help from two great people who can make Three Yellow Quartzes a game in existing English, and that involves discussing adaptations.

🍨 For the 100+ downloads (Thank you!) of Interview with a succubus, I contacted a Spanish translator to make it available in an additional language. I love Spanish and who knows, maybe one day I might be able to translate things myself! Hopefully in a more existent Spanish than my English.

I will never stop thanking acadizs for his translation and his patience with my requests.

🍨 Given the introduction of an additional language, I put my hands on Ren'py again to do a single build of Interview with a succubus.

I'd like to do other visual novels, maybe a little longer than ten minutes and more elaborate than two ending branches. I was a little sad that I didn't get to participate in the Once Upon a Time VN Jam, but 1. I had no ideas, 2. I wouldn't have had time even by mistake. I'm eyeing the Winter VN Jam but, barring a miracle, I seriously doubt I'll participate.

🍨 I would also like to go back to translating RPGs into Italian and I contacted again an author whose everything I translated except, like, their most important game. Living Playground: The Witch's Puppets, I'll come back to you!

🍨 I fixed a few things about The Night of the Candy Apple. I plan to make a dedicated devlog about it, once Pink Pro is published.

I've been wanting to make "a pink game" for a while now. I love the aesthetic of games like The Huntress of the Hollow, Sweeter Yesterday and Dreaming Mary and I wanted to make something pink too. I also wanted to do something with sweets tilesets (You might have deduced this from the fact that I made a post on sweets tilesets-), so I decided to merge the two! When I decided to join jams, I decided that I would make my pink and sweets game for the Yuri Jam.

I've already written about the characters in their introductions, so what about the game itself? The game itself, in theory, is very simple: dialogues, cooking minigames, ending requirements, period. Then, of course, maps, sprites, CGs, music, sound effects.

So what's the situation like?

So geometric...

🍰 The maps are complete. They're the first thing I made and the first thing I finished! Obviously, Chocomill and com-sho could not be missing. I am very satisfied with how they turned out! (… Although I definitely need to practice more with exteriors. Maybe one day I'll be able to build a house other than a rectangle or trapezoid.)

🍰 The sprites are- The sprites for Chantal and Janet are complete. Margrit's would be complete too, if only I could make her tail decently.

As for now, the sprites of the others exist - Except Zora's, who is always the last. Poor Zora. They are not all 8-directions-complete, but it must be said that not all of them need 8-directions sprites-

🍰 The busts are complete! I still have to do all the expressions, though. If nothing else, they all have an average of 3/4 expressions, only Chantal has like eight.

🍰 CGs are almost finished! Only one left.

There's one that I'm extremely satisfied with, I hope you'll like it- Um, actually, it doesn't represent a happy scene, so I'm afraid you won't like it much-

Since I started using Clip Studio Paint not that long ago, I still make stupid mistakes that I notice eight hundred years later, possibly after publishing. Above all: smudged shadows, non-blended shadows and color that goes on the lineart. But I assure you that in traditional I know how to color within the lineart! I learned it in kindergarten!

🍰 The sound side is ready.

More importantly, Pink Pro will also have a customized music track! Maybe I'll talk about it more in depth in a future post, but in the meantime: thanks to DogStudio there will be a story section accompanied by a track that they wrote especially for the game! It has a very particular sound, and inspired me for the main musical genre.

I was sure of one thing: I didn't want to play the "jangling" music typical of sweets contexts. I find them cute, but I wanted to do something different. I hope you like the result!

🍰 On a separate note, since @time-lapse-games has been my sound designer for Three Yellow Quartzes and explained to me the whole philosophy behind the choice of sound effects (?), I pay more attention to the sounds and I feel like putting them even where I wouldn't have put them before. 🍰 Venka's Crafting Script works!

… Well, inserting the latest recipes gave me a weird problem where recipes from, like, Number X to Number Y did not appear. I still have no idea why (I thought the numbers were connected to some variables that were also used in the game or other scripts, but that doesn't seem to be the case, so who knows?), but I solved it by simply dubbing the recipes that didn't appear in the number following Y onwards.

🍰 The cutscenes exist. It's a great achievement. The fundamental parts are there, the scenes of four out of five customers and the ending are missing. I hope I don't get stuck as usual-

And so?

Initially, I wanted to post the whole game in Italian, and then translate it as soon as possible - This is because, 100%, I would not be able to finish the game and translate it by the jam deadline. However, the RL has landed like a volleyball in your face as you walk courtside, and in the next few days I won't have as much time to dedicate to it as I would like.

SO! For the jam I will release a demo. If you stop to read the flavor texts and talk to everyone, the gameplay can last about twenty minutes. Seems like a good timing to me!

In this way, I will be able to publish both the Italian and the English versions. Since the game is 80% ready, I plan to get back to it as soon as I have a bit of a break.

Birds Flowers and Butterflys

Happily healthy again, as normal as I,m going to get! Dengue laid me pretty low, actually considering "is this it? Is death near?" Felt like it.

Back on the road to health, and on the road to the mercado. Made an exploratory trip to Super Che for big boxes of juice, some cheap chicken legs, free run eggs, avocadoes , "Look, they're cheaper in the mesh bag!" Yeah,because they are so small you are buying avocado stones. Hrumph... And as always at Che it took longer to checkout than to find things." Why put on more clerks? these people will stand in line for a half hour. They have a cart full!"

Anyway, flushed with success, I went the next day uptown by combi to shop the big mercado area. Actually don't go in the mercado anymore, having found all the same goods nearby in tiny stores for better prices. A cast west from the collectivo stop and there was the shrimp shop, a regular storefront filled with chest freezers. 2 kilos of medium shrimp in a box for 360pesos, about $24 canadian. It was only when i got home that I saw these shrimp were from Nicaragua, product of mangrove clear cut grow farms. Not eco food. Damn tasty though! Next to the tortilla factory where dangerous unguarded machines press corn dough into 6 inch tortillas and cook them on hot rollers,mass production. 24 pesos a kilo($2) and I got a half kilo, which is some 15 tortillas. now tortillas only keep about 4 hours before they dry out and roll up into tire patches, but seperated by paper and plastic bagged, they freeze very well. I had enough used (washed bags from produce) to freeze a lot, packed between coffee filters as paper dividers. Ate 2 fresh with 6 boiled shrimp and mayo. Major meal!

Chocolate is a big agricultural crop in the mountains, second only to coffee(and dope). The Mayo Domo chain sells fresh ground chocolate(mixed with sugar) cheap. A kilo cost $4, still hot from the press. While I had planned to hoof up the street 4 blocks to the nicer fruit stand, I caved and went into the chaotic "Cabelleros" store, a wholesaler where the public shops as well. Aisles filled with toppling bags of carrots, onions,potatoes, bins of tomatoes, red, yellow, and green peppers, avocados, bananas usually overripe, mushrooms, mandarin oranges, papayas,onions, cilantro, dried peppers, cinnamon ranging from pure powder to sacks of bark rolled into 3 foot long sticks, and all that in skinny aisles filled with aimless shoppers debating the ripeness of tomatoes et al.and a steady chain of overloaded workers packing in the full sacks off a truck conveniently double parked on the street, shouting to make way as they stream into dark back rooms or upstairs to crammed lofts. Anything a shopper at the till can't find gets brought out by calling a boy to fetch it from the caverns. Not unusual to see someone carry out 40 pound boxes of tomatoes, cabbages, cauliflowers, or onions. I think that many of the stores in the mercado across the street send runners over to replenish stock. While it seems chaotic, the stuff gets selected and rapidly sold at one of 3 tills. No half hour waits here. Electronic scales and tills that print a detailed receipt. Of course things are much cheaper here which makes it all worth wading through the discarded leaves and squished oranges, or risking an avalanche of fruit from the shaky pyramids. Cash only, always busy, it works. Got all my list, 40 pounds of stuff, shopping bags(bring your own) groaning full, stagger up to the combi corner to truck on home.

Oh yeah birds /flowers etc. Totally different experience. There's a lookout near my hotel with a clear view of the beach and the endless rolling waves. Steep bank covered in trees and a favorite place for local birds. The "pea tree" which yields a red circular pod of pea like seeds is in bloom, cascades of frothy creamy blossoms, loved by hummingbirds, and frequented by both the tiny jet black zipper,and the slower greenbacks. A bird new to me was a robin sized one with a red breast and shoulders, black throat and cape, and white and black wing bars. Sounding like a sparrow cheeping was another bird, upright posture, sparrow sized but very slim, grey with black marks. All those in one spot with a convenient bench providing an eye level tree top view.

I count it a good day when i see something special, and this week it was flowers. Bouncing along in the back of a combi pickup on the carretera(highway) we passed an African tulip tree in full scarlett trumpet flowered bloom. Next in an arroyo(gully) was a red bouganvillea, climbing a jungle tree and filling the space with a tree covering cascade of flowers. Then deeper in the arroyo was a full blooming pink blossomed tree looking just like a cherry tree but much bigger. Pretty nice to see so much beauty.

It felt like a strange question but it was also something she never truly considered. To her, it had seemed that favorites were something that was always available, never denied to someone when they wanted it. "I guess I never really thought about it. Having a favorite of anything wherever we went meant knowing that I wouldn't have it again unless we went back. which we didn't so I think I kept myself from having favorites. We never lived in one place so I didn't really develop what I thought were favorites until now." Perhaps she always had favorites and never knew it. Never let herself have them because she wasn't allowed. Then as she kept traveling she just felt safer not having any, having favorites means ways for people to find you faster, do you want to be found? Jennifer's words always reverberated in her brain. A subconscious she would never escape.

"Yeah," a sad sigh came to her at the thought of that first Diwali, a bittersweet memory but a smile came to her face when she thought about Mexico. A place that held more good than bad memories. "Of course! And chocomil and licuados. I remember the first time I was handed one I was a little confused as to why it was in a bag but for some reason, it just seemed to make sense," she chuckled. "But by the time we left, I missed them. Besides New York, that's the place where I spent the most time. When was the last time you went? Did you know that the central library at UNAM has the biggest collection in all of Mexico?"

"That sounds amazing. I can't say that I've had the honor of trying these sno cones out. Will have to take an adventure out there sometime. Hopefully, they have a tamarind one." The thought of sno cones made her think of raspados, which were all too wonderful. It being ice and flavors, it was the only thing that Jennifer let her indulge in during their time in Mexico, not wanting her to get too big for what she needed her to do. The story that he shared with her added to the new happiness that sno cones would bring her, a perfect treat to end a perfect day. " Reading in the park, museums, sno cones. Sounds like a perfect day What's your favorite?" She asked Jack. "Maybe it might be my new favorite."

"How would you classify it as then, if not a favorite?" It seemed Liz had lived an interesting life. He leaned his back against the counter on the other side as he held his son in his arms and made sure he didn't choke on the chip. It was nice to be back with family. Things had gotten back to a semi normal territory and for that he was grateful. Having Liz was a nice addition and kept him from crawling back into his own head, a place he'd lived in for a few weeks.

"Diwali at thirteen? Wow." He had to smile as he remembered how in Mexico there were a million types of way to eat one type of dessert. "Did you ever have the soda in baggies when you were in Mexico?" His culture was one that still fascinated him and was truly proud of. Even if his only tie to it was from his mother.

Jack giggled and hid his face against his father's neck becoming shy once more. "Sno cones," Jan said as he knew that was an answer his own son would share. "We still go get some when we're sad or happy or need a pick me up. It was the first thing we as kids craved when our mom died. Our dad would take us out every Sunday as a group. It was his day off from work and he'd do whatever we wanted. My sister took the first activity. That was usually reading at the park, my brother took taking tours around the architectural areas and I chose museums. After that we'd get sno cones to end the day. Have you tried the ones on Kauai Island?"
