Cheetah

Barbara Minerva was a research scientist, exploring the possibilities of enhancing human capabilities with animal characteristics. Excited by the great potential of her research, but without sufficient funding to continue, Minerva was forced to use herself as a test subject and was transformed into a human-cheetah hybrid.

Dr. Minerva hoped to prove the value of her work, but instead found herself an outcast and turned to crime as a source for continued funding for her research.  Now known simply as the ‘Cheetah,’ Minerva accepted an offer to become a member of Lex Luthor’s team of villains, The Injustice League.  

Cheetah later joined Gorilla Grodd’s Legion of Doom yet sided with Luthor during a coup d'etat to seize control over the Legion.  Cheetah was saved by Sinestro and Star Sapphire after Darkseid destroyed the Legion of Doom’s headquarters.  She then aided The Justice League in fending off Darkseid’s invasion of earth.  As thanks for her assistance, Cheetah and other surviving members of the Legion were allowed a five minute head-start before the heroes pursued them.

Actress Sheryl Lee Ralph provided the voice for Cheetah, with the felonious feline first appearing in the eighth episode of the first season of Justice League, ‘Injustice For All.’
