Matt rolled his eyes at that one. He knew it was a valid concern, but he also knew that there were prices to be paid for being famous, and he would take a few weird stories in exchange for the life of his literal dreams. But back to the matter at hand. Matt had never even heard of Tumblr, so there couldn’t be that many triplet fan accounts on there, and he figured that after everything he’d seen on Twitter, he was ready for anything.

Matt elected to keep his thoughts on the spelling to himself. “You’re weird for that. All of it.” He swiped out of the app, fully prepared to roll over, go to sleep, and forget all about it.

But what else did they get wrong about him? What did the rest of them think he did when he had sex? Matt figured he should check that “sturniolo triplet” hashtag one more time.
He sat up properly for this, sighing as he flicked on his bedside lamp. It illuminated his room, its soft light showcasing the woodsy decorations he’d furnished months ago. With a grimace, he opened the accursed app once more and began a deep dive.
It seemed the entire community centered around “smut” of him and Chris. He saw a few for Nick, a handful for Nate, all of which he scrolled past quickly, blinking them away. He wasn’t trying to dive that deep.

Some wrote him as a harsh, domineering man, quick to take his bratty girlfriend to task. Some wrote him as a needy submissive individual, and the words they used made his head spin. As Matt tapped around, trying to get back, he found himself on another account and thoroughly lost. An underlined word in the first post caught his attention–concepts. Subtitled below were the words, “short headcanons about the triplets! both sfw and nsfw”. He tilted his head. ‘Sfw’? What does that mean? A quick Google search quieted his questioning. Surely a “safe-for-work” headcanon would be fine to read. He tapped the link, and it directed him to a simpler page, one organized using just his name and Chris’s, each one with links below them. His thumb hovered over one near the top, its title mildly intriguing–“soft!dom!matt”.
Then he paused. Was he really doing this? His dick began to throb. He should have just left the whole thing alone, but now…well, now he had to know.

How to spot a Recast store.
First of all, what is a recast?
A recast is an unlicensed copy of a BJD, a knockoff, a fake. Usually the dolls are bought from a legit company (sometimes not even from the recast company itself, but from supporters), a mold is made (either making a physical mold or a 3D scan) and then the dolls can be mass produced. Usually made in China, but there are exceptions to this.
I'm not going into detail here on why they are a big problem, there are tons of posts about this on the internet. They are bad, they destroy the dollmakers and artists that I love, if you're fine with that, this blog isn't for you.
This blog is for those, that want to buy legit BJDs and don't want to accidentally buy a recast, which is getting harder and harder.
I'll put this under a cut, because this is gonna get a bit lengthy.
What not to do: Google "buy BJD", you'll literally get a ton of Ali Express listings of knockoff BJDs.
You will have to do some research up front, you need to know what company you want to buy. For that, you can go to the BJD hashtag, here, on instagram, sometimes even Twitter, and see if there is something you like. Usually people also tag the company and sculpt, and if not, asking usually gets the reply.
You can also go to one of the many official dealer pages and just click through their dolls to see if you find something that you like.
Stay away from Ali Express and Amazon. Both of these pages are riddled with knockoffs. Idk if there are actually any legit sellers on Ali, if there are, they are few. I think Dollzone sells on Amazon, but seriously, most of the dolls there are fakes.
Ebay and Etsy are also full of recasts, but you can find some legit dolls there.
So, how do you spot a recast store? Let me show you some hints, that are usually a dead giveaway.
A lot of different styles.
This is the header of an etsy shop. While the two on the left might be from the same maker, the other two are very different. (The one on the right is a doll from Fairyland, one of the, if not the most recasted company out there).
Different styles only make sense, if the seller is a distributor/dealer. If it's not a dealer, back out.
Which brings us to the next point:
Generic names.
If a shop were a dealer, they would give you the names of the companies and sculpts.
Example from an official dealer:
See how you can choose the company, size, and then the sculpts? Recast shops don't give you that (there's one exception, that I'll mention later).
They give you "1/4 BJD Doll MSD", "Girl BJD 1/6" or if they wanna go all out "1/3 BJD Doll 60.5CM Full Set BJD Doll With Clothes Resin Toys Best Gift for Girls Hand Made Doll Custom Dolls OOAK Art Doll diy Dolls".
They want to stay as generic as possible, so the newbies that google for "buy bjd" will be redirected to their pages.
If you find generic names, back the hell out of there. I don't know a single company or dealer, that do not tell you what doll exactly you're buying!
Short production time
BJDs take time to make. They are not mass produced dolls, they are casted, sanded, strung and packed by small companies. Even the big names in this hobby usually are just a hand full of people. So it takes time.
Usually between 2-6 months. I don't know any company that actually gives you an estimate below 60 days. Sometimes they ship faster (maybe it's a popular sculpt and they have actually made some for stock, maybe they didn't have a lot of orders during that time, etc), but they don't usually give you a shorter timeline.
If your listing claims the doll will be shipped in 1-2 weeks? Bad news for you, that's usually a recast store.
Price
I hate to say it, but this is an expensive hobby. Dolls usually cost at least $200, oftentimes more. There are some companies that have cheaper prices, but if it goes below $150, I would definitely have a closer look.
Now, the price is usually the last thing that I mention, because before the price tag, you should check for all the things mentioned above. Only if you have a consistent style, specific names, and a timeline that makes sense, then you should check for the price.
I say that, because I know of one Recast store, that tries so hard to look legit, they actually put effort in it.
And that is the BJD Shop.
Look at that. You have company names, you have sculpt names, it looks like a legit dealer (if you ignore that their production time is 1-4 weeks).
But now look at the prices.
Not taking into account that this specific sculpt isn't even available from Fairyland anymore, the price? Is not even $100 (for blank doll).
Now let's look at the actual price by FL:
Rule of thumb: If a price is too good to be true, it very likely is.
So I recommend actually looking for the doll company, if you find a dealer you're not sure is legit, and compare the prices.
A good page for information is Den Of Angels. It's a forum, but a lot of things are easily available without account through Google. For example their dealer list. Is it complete? I don't know, maybe not, but it's a good start.

Tumblr recently announced a new feature called Post+ meant to help content creators make money while keeping a cut to help maintain the site. Not a bad idea, right?
The problem is that tumblr actively encouraged the use of Post+ in conjunction with fan works. Which is, despite the way they continue to side step it, highly illegal. Not enough people are aware of that fact.
Our mission is to force tumblr to either rebrand the Post+ feature as something for original content ONLY and/or offer a means to help the site survive outside of monetizing fan work. We want the see tumblr thrive but Post+ has the potential for ruining everything. Give us a better option, @staff ! In fact, HERE are some options!

Schedule
I work a few different freelance jobs and so my schedule is constantly in flux. I usually stream weekday at 11:00 AM or 12:00 PM in the EST/EDT timezone. I'll attach my weekly schedule for the current week below:
Content I Stream/Create
I usually stream otome visual novels or joseimuke mobile games. Some of my favorites are Ensemble Stars!! Basic and Music, Bandori, Taisho x Alice, Tears of Themis, Hatoful Boyfriend, and BUSTAFELLOWS.
Sometimes I'll stream variety content such as JRPGs, scuffed karaoke (yes it is always scuffed lol), baking or decorating desserts (rare because this is messy and requires lots of planning!), crocheting, and cozy chatting content. I like to experiment with my content when I have more time in my schedule!
I'm currently working on a larger video project where I summarize the entirety of the Ensemble Stars story backlog and lore on YouTube. The series is still very much a work in progress but I do have a livestream VOD where I explained some basics about the game universe and characters which you can watch here:

I also really love music! I try to hold karaokes as much as I can and I've recently start recording covers songs! You can check out my first cover song below. It would mean a lot to me if you gave it a like as well!

Other than that I do a bit of voice acting, sometimes while I'm playing VNs I'll even try to voice over the characters. But mostly I just record short voice clips and post them to YouTube and TikTok.
Now that I have this page I hope to post some exclusive Tumblr content such as video scripts for my YouTube videos and reviews for games, animes, mangas, and novels! I'll link back to some of those posts when I do create them.

There are obviously a lot of New Tumblr User Guides™ circulating lately as folks return after a long hiatus or migrate here from Twitter or Tiktok. Most have good information for anyone looking to have a more social experience here. Most also perpetuate some misinformation about ~*engagement*~ and Tumblr's algorithm.
So for newbies and gremlins like me who've been checking in just about every day since 2010 alike, here are two common myths and one fact about Tumblr (at least as of April 2022):
Myth: Tumblr doesn't have an algorithm. I think most of the time when folks say Tumblr doesn't have an algorithm, they're either referring to the hilariously mistargeted ads in your feeds or that most people have their dashboard (the main feed you see when you open the website or app which predominantly shows you posts from people you follow) set to a chronological feed.
But Tumblr does have an algorithm, and there are a few ways to see that in action. Algorithm Options on Your Dashboard Open up your Dashboard Settings and you'll see a few different options available to you:
On the website, they're accessed by clicking on the user icon in the header and then going to Settings > Dashboard.
On the Android app, they're accessed by tapping on the user icon at the bottom right corner, tapping on the cog icon at the top of your blog, and then going to Account settings > Dashboard preferences. (Not sure on IOS devices, but I'm guessing it's something similar.)
The first three options you'll see on that page are:
Best stuff first
Include stuff in your orbit
Include "Based on Your Likes!"
These are all algorithm-driven.
Now I personally have all of these options turned off. 😘 I would also wager a lot of Tumblr veterans do as well, but newer users who wouldn't even think to check this out might not. And it's probably very confusing to read "likes don't mean anything!" when they're literally getting fed posts that are based off their likes. (More on that in a sec.)
Recommended for You & Trending Outside of your main dashboard that shows content from people you directly follow with potentially some other stuff sprinkled in depending on your dash settings, there's also the Explore and Recommended for You feeds:
On the website, you can access this feed by clicking on the compass icon on the header.
On the Android app, you can access this feed by swiping left from the main feed or by tapping on the For you 🔮 option in the header.
As with the algorithm options for the main dash, these aren't features I really use, and I doubt a lot of old-school Tumblr users pay much mind to them either. Most of the time when I end up there, it's because I accidentally swiped on the app.
The Search Pages The search looks pretty different between the website and the app:
If you tap on the magnifying glass icon at the bottom of the Android app, it will take you to a Search page that will show the tags you follow, tags and blogs the algorithm thinks you might like, and a few other algorithm-based content suggestions similar to the Explore page on the website.
On the website, you just have the Search bar at the top left of the header. If you follow tags, you'll see those drop down when you click in the bar.
Whether you're on the app or website, however, when you do a search or click on a hashtag, you'll see Recent and Top at the start of the search/tag page. Recent is a chronological feed that will show you the newest posts related to the hashtag, and Top will show you the posts that have the most notes. You can also filter Top by different time spans; e.g. all time or in the past 24 hours.
(One slight caveat here for website users: the Tag pages and Search pages on the website are a little different. If the URL has /tagged/ instead of /search/, you'll only see the posts that have been explicitly tagged with said tag and you can't filter the Top posts by time. Under /search/, it'll pick up on any post that has related keywords to said search, regardless of tag. If this is confusing, I know.)
And all of this brings me to the next big misconception:
Myth: Likes don't mean anything and only reblogs help generate more attention for posts. The exact way that Tumblr weighs all notes on a post (comments, reblogs, and likes) isn't public knowledge as far as I can tell. But it is obvious that likes are something the algorithm is capable of tracking given that there's a whole feature dedicated to it, and as far as I can tell, all forms of notes help bring posts to the Top feeds in the Search/Tag pages.
So because there is an algorithm that tracks likes and there are multiple ways to access algorithmic feeds, likes aren't as useless as some old-time users might make them out to be.
That said, I believe what folks mean when they say that likes don't help share a post is that your likes will not directly appear in anyone else's dash, unlike on Facebook or Twitter, and that is true. And even if you don't have your likes set to private, it's very rare for users to go through someone else's likes the way they'll go through someone's blog. If you want to give a little extra love and support to an artist or writer here, reblogging is the way to go.
Fact: Reblogging other people's posts is a great way to get involved in a community on Tumblr. Reblogging is also one of the best ways to have a more social experience on Tumblr. Most creative types on here especially love to see nice tags and comments when someone reblogs their work.
Also, it might seem counterintuitive if you're used to ~*growth advice*~ for sites like Twitter, which tends to discourage "diluting your personal brand" with too many retweets, but if you are looking to ~*grow an audience*~ here for whatever reason, reblogging does help generate "social proof" and show that you're a dedicated member of your fandom, creative community, etc.
Although I also want to stress that if you're just here to lurk and you don't want to socialize or build an audience for your own work, that's also completely fine. There can be a lot of guilt-tripping about users not reblogging and only liking posts, which is something I have personally always pushed back against because people can and should use Tumblr however they want.
But if you're bored and lonely or wondering why you're not getting followers or people aren't reblogging your stuff, it's because you gotta engage a little differently here. Reblogs are a great place to start.

1. Why did you choose your URL? It's literally just my first and second name backwards. Not much else to it than that. I had a good feeling no one else would have the same URL and it was a dumb thing me and my friends did and laughed about when we were in school.
2. Any side blogs? I have two but I don't really want to name them for shyness reasons, haha! I will say one is a life-type blog that I am sorely neglecting and the others a roleplay blog.
3. How long have you been on Tumblr? I think since 2012, so about nine years. I'm not entirely sure so I went on my blog and searched for what I know is one of my first ever posts (I know it's my first because my hashtags are so messed up on it, haha).
4. Do you have a queue tag? Nope.
5. Why did you start your blog in the first place? I genuinely have no idea. I can't even remember creating this account, let alone why I did. The only thing I can say is that I know some of the original things I posted/reblogged on it were posts about Vampire Knight and Adam Lambert, but I don't think either of them were actual reasons for my starting it.
6. Why did you chose your icon/pfp? I recently got back into anime and my favourite anime of all time is D.Gray-Man. It's fantastically written and the relationship between the characters is genuinely well developed, including the two characters in my icon. They're somehow enemies who still care for each other at the same time and they have some sweet moments together.
7. Why did you choose your header? It was a beautiful piece of artwork from a friend of mine for Curious Archer (Alice and Robin from Once Upon A Time) along with my OC characters as their children. I was so honoured when she did this drawing based off of one of my fanfics and I still look at it so fondly every time.
8. What's your post with the most notes? Pretty sure it's my Avengers Endgame post where I talk about how much I love the way Tony treats his daughter and how well the films made him a dad without changing his entire character. It's also a post I still firmly stand behind 100%.
9. How many mutuals do you have? I have 8, though admittedly we don't talk much anymore. Especially lately which is entirely on me. I've been struggling to stay in contact with people but I'm hoping to change that and start reaching out more.
10. How many followers do you have? According to Tumblr; 1,387 but I wonder how many of them are abandoned blogs because I do not believe that many people care about my ramblings, haha!
11. How many people do you follow? As of right now; 28.
12. How often do you use Tumblr a day? A lot. I tend to be one of those who clicks on it every half hour just to see there have been no changes, come off, and then check again in half an hour.
13. Did you have a fight/argument with another blog once? Oh boy yes! I've had many fights with other blogs but the worse one I remember being when I was in the Teen Wolf fandom. There with this girl who, quite honestly, was a vile and nasty bully who harassed me even after I had her blocked simply because I didn't drool over a celebrity she obsessed over. We went back and forth a lot back in the day but thankfully enough time has passed that I don't even remember her blog name and I doubt she remembers mine.
14. How do you feel about “you need to reblog this” posts? I think they range from a little annoying to disgusting (talking about the ones saying to reblog or someone you care will get hurt). And honestly, no matter what the cause, topic or reason, the minute I see someone telling me to reblog something I will purposely ignore it. Even if I agree with the whole message it has, I am that petty, I will skip past if completely it tells me to reblog it.
15. Do you like tag games? Yes! They're a lot of fun to do and interesting to see everyone else's answers!
16. Do you like ask games? Again, yes! For some reason I've always loved answering questions.
17. Which of your mutual do you think is Tumblr famous? To be honest I don't know about that. I think a lot of my mutuals are casual bloggers, or mostly on twitter or have gotten fairly quiet over the years. Unless I've got my head in the sand and it turns out I have a mutual others gush over without me knowing, which is entirely possible.
18. Do you have a crush on a mutual? No, not really. I love them as great friends I will treasure but that's about it.

Yes thank you for the link anon!! It definitely isn’t worth it to engage with these people in anyway. Please help to block and report the accounts listed in the tweet above and use the trending hashtag to clean out the searches! Sigh...a lot of antis and akgaes (individual fans) do that so its difficult to tell sometimes. Its important to always check the account before you click the follow button!

The Base Camp and UNIVERSTAR story unfolds
After the BT21 gathered together, they searched for a place to live in. This place is the Base Camp. “#UNIVERSTAR_story_unfolds” is a series of tweets following their daily life there. I can be considered as a part of the BT21 UNIVERSE story, fitting between season 2 and 3.
The Place
The BT21 settled in a nice house in the city. We know of one main room including the living room, the kitchen, and a bedroom corner, as well as a dance studio and the rooftop of the building where you can also find Tata’s secret place.
The Base Camp is was created during episode 3 of BT21 Universe. We learned it serves as a company and as a dorm and that it was provided by Tata. It includes a training room, a studio, a garden, and a gym area. You can follow the life of the BT21 in the Base Camp with #BASECAMP. There’s also a Base Camp page in the Hello BT21 photo album, mainly showing when the BT21 moved in.
1. The Base Camp
Here’s how it looks from the outside:

TATA, SHOOKY, MANG, and CHIMMY’s bedroom could be in the RV. Whether their room is in the RV or in the building, it is next to the shelf with their cups, where they hanged socks for Christmas and where RJ watched MOYA’s video.

2. Tata’s secret place
Tata’s secret place is a water tank on the rooftop, transformed into a lab with all of Tata’s things inside.

BT21’s Guide to Happiness: never waste a sunny day indoors
“#UNIVERSTAR_story_unfolds” appeared in several tweets from 2nd January to 27th February 2019. It seems to be the part following BT21 while they're living together.
Sometimes there are tweets that fit in the narrative but don’t have the hashtag so I’ll mention and link them but I won’t put the picture here.
The story
Chapter 0: Happy Holidays
This chapter is closer to a teaser than an actual tale. It shows us the BT21 during the holidays.
It started with a playful snowball fight.
Then they prepared for Christmas. They decorated the Christmas tree, in a way that kind of looked like last year, minus the explosion...
They hanged their socks - or whatever they had at hand...
They ate cookies...
