I'm pretty sure Phoenix went through a tough time after Miles came back from the 'dead.' Mourning for an entire year is not an easy thing to forget and forgive.
Okay, sorry, but I can't help falling more and more in love with the idea of Phoenix being half—or at least partly—Mexican. Can you imagine? My poor boy, drinking away his worries while listening to Chavela Vargas. Oh no, that's a really bad sign.

Here are some thoughts/headcanons I have about Wenclair music taste because I am making a playlist and I’m trying really hard to make it accurate
-Wednesday likes Laufey. Enid introduced her to it and it’s the only artist they have in common. Also Must be love by Laufey is Wednesday’s secret anthem.
-Enids favorite Taylor Swift album is Folklore because she is a secret sad girly. But obviously she is a swiftie.
-Okay not that much of a headcanon but Wednesday doesn’t only listen to classical music she also listens to old Hispanic music. One of the songs in the show that I remember is la Llorona so I am looking into that but I’m not that knowledgeable in it specially non-romantic old songs.
- Also fun fact the version of La Llorona that the show uses is by Chavela Vargas very famous gay Mexican singer so yk. I definitely see Chavela Vargas being like the Chappell Roan of Wednesday life.
- While I do think Wednesday would focus on calm music I also think she would like good lyrics so I am looking into death center love songs.
- definitely K-pop (I am not knowledgeable enough so I may have to look into that)
- Wednesday listens to mainly oldies while Enid listens to mainly newer stuff.
- Multilingual Wednesday is my favorite thing so her music taste should reflect that. I am looking forward to listening to Italian music and non pop French music (wish me luck)
- I know people would say Lady Gaga or Lana del Rey for Wednesday but I just don’t see that. I do see Enid listening to Lana del Rey.
- Honestly Enid is an internet girly she likes most popular pop artists but she probably tries to keep it indie too.
Thanks for reading my ramble. I may add more to it later.

8th Week. El último trago y nos vamos.
We are just in the middle of the final project, and the final week of the Bootcamp, and I’m starting to realize that we are almost done, now that we just started to know more each other and building bonds. I feel like I didn’t have the opportunity to know more about some of my peers, but I hope, after Bootcamp, we can find a way to do it.
In my last post I told you that I will talk more about how Onboarding project will end, so if you are interested, here you can see the final result: RetailOn. Engaging employees with companies
I know that it could be improved and completed with a lot of new features, and maybe after Bootcamp I will do it.
About the project that I’m working now with the great company of Paula and Vicky, I have to say that I’m more engaged than the last one and very excited about how will be the final result. We are a great team, and all the work looks very easy, but I think it’s because they are doing it easy ;).
I have too many changes in my life after Bootcamp, and to be honest, I don’t want to think right now in that, so, I’m really focused on what’s going on day by day.
As anecdote, so well are we doing on the project, that I have time to spend on Netfilx. Yesterday I saw Chavela Vargas’s documentary film (It’s on Netfilx). I love her and all her career, and as a little tribute, and I think it matches this last week, I will use her song represent this post. (I know it’s a bit sad, but I feel like a have to do it)

"Pedro's Picks" Playlist 💜👑🎶
Below is a list of links to all of the songs that Pedro mentioned in CJSW Radio's "Breaking Techniques" Episode from 5/22/22. (I don't have Spotify or anything like that - I just listen to music on YouTube like a weirdo). Man does Pedro have AMAZING taste in music. 🎶
Deee-Lite Theme (Deee-Lite)
Time is Tight (Booker T & the M.G.'s)
Come See About Me (The Supremes)
New York City by Day (Thomas Newman)
Puro Teatro (La Lupe)
Miss Celie's Blues (Quincy Jones)
Fight the Power (Public Enemy)
Be My Baby (The Ronettes)
Suzanne (Nina Simone)
Paloma Negra (Chavela Vargas)
The First Time I Ever Saw Your Face (Roberta Flack)
Iko Iko (The Dixie Cups)
Soul Makossa (Manu Dibango)
...and finally, for the grand finale, Pedro's #1 Favorite Song Ever...
Purple Rain (Prince) 💜🎶☔️
I'm also gonna leave a link to an NME article that talks about Pedro's "Soundtrack of My Life," where he lists songs like the first song he remembers listening to (Ring My Bell - Anita Ward), the first song that he fell in love with (White Wedding - Billy Idol), & the song that he wants to be played at his funeral (which again is Purple Rain which is no surprise at all 💜). Pedro has had a really interesting life, & I thought that it was cool to have him tell it through music. 🎶

My #1 post of 2022
There's not really a point to this post - this is just an observation I've made regarding the Try Guys & their recent rebranding.
Before the Ned scandal, the Try Guys had a 4-color scheme & each person was associated with a specific color. Ned's color(s) was red/pink.
Tumblr media
After Ned got kicked out, the Try Guys company/brand entered the "orange" era.

27 for the Javi playlist :)
the javier peña playlist explanation
27: La llorona by Chavela Vargas
I picked this song because Javi is Mexican, and the tale of La llorona is apart of Mexican folklore. I also chose this because the singer Chavela Vargas is also a pretty important part of Mexican culture, so I felt as though these would be things he knew, and I wanted to honor the fact that Javi is Mexican. I probably have spoken about this before, but part of the reason Javi is so important to me is that I've gotten so much closer to my own culture because of him. In this playlist, I tried my best to make sure it was a blend of everything, Spanish and English, Colombian and Mexican. It was important to me.
This rendition of this song sounds so haunted but beautiful, too. The first time I heard it I was really amazed, and it felt really right to add it to Javi's playlist, because that's the vibe Javi can carry. Maybe lyrically it doesn't add up, but there's this inherent sadness to the way Chavela Vargas sings the song that reminds me of Javi. La Llorona, as much as it can be a spooky tale, is also a tragic one.

First of all, thanks to @sa-nyan for the idea and @putschki1969 for sharing! I really enjoy this kind of stuff!
Now, I’m going to give the game a little (and hopefully interesting) twist and throw in here songs in Spanish that might not be iconic (not sure tbh), but I think are quite popular in some Hispanic countries.
I’ll be trying to provide some information on the songs (Wikipedia FTW) for those not familiar with them.
WAKANA
La Llorona (The Weeping Woman) – Mexican folk song
I think this was made popular by Chavela Vargas, a Mexican singer. The song has some different interpretations when it comes to its meaning, but basically the song goes around the topics of unrequited love and grief by the loss of a loved one.
The song has A LOT of verses, so in every recording or performance, only a couple are sung, and I’m guessing the singers pick the ones that depict the storyline they want to convey the best.
I think Wakana’s voice would fit this nicely. I mean, if I’m not mistaken, even Yuki Kajiura said she has a great voice to sing this sort of tragic stuff, and the slow phase of the song together with the repetitive melody, gives the singer a lot of freedom to perform and “do as they want” to convey the feeling of sadness withing the song.
I’ll drop here the link to a version by Carmen Goett that might sound a little bit Wakana-ish to give you an idea and I’m throwing in the link to the Wikipedia article of the song with all the verses and the translation to English

KEIKO
Zamba para Olvidar (Zamba to Forget) – Daniel Toro/Julio Fontana
This is an Argentinian zamba (do not mix up with Brazilian Samba) that has been recorded and performed by a lot of singers. Another sad song in which a former lover of the singer comes back after leaving the singer and the singer had gone through all the pain of that breakup. The singer wonders why they came back while depicting all the suffering they went through.
I met this song on the voice of Mercedes Sosa, an Argentinian singer who was probably an alto and had a rich tone on that low register, so I think KEIKO would do great with it. Also, that dark tone of hers would fit nicely with the lyrics.
Here’s a link to a recording of Mercedes Sosa and Diego Torres, another Argentinian singer, and a link to the translation of the lyrics just in case.

 HIKARU//
Hijo de la Luna (Son of the Moon) – José María Cano
This song was originally performed by the Spanish group Mecano and the song narrates an amazing story!
The moon wanted to be a mother and a gypsy woman wanted to marry a gypsy man (calé), so the moon offers the woman to give her the man she wants in exchange for their firstborn for her to raise.
The woman accepts, gets married and when her child is born, he’s white as snow and his eyes are grey despite she and her husband having dark skin and eyes. The man is convinced that the boy is the son of a non-gypsy man (payo), gets insanely mad and stabs the woman to death. Then, he takes the child and abandons him in the mountains, where the moon takes him.
I think Hikaru// would love the story and being the awesome performer she is, would give an amazing rendition of the song!
For me, the original version of the song was not that cool, but years later a Spanish metal band called STRAVAGANZZA did a version that I liked way more and I think that a heavier version like that would fit great with Hikaru//’s vocals.
Here’s the link to the original version by Mecano, the link to the metal version by STRAVAGANZZA and the link to the translation.

That’s it! Hope you had fun reading this!
Hey! So for W&K&H, doing covers has already become a regular activity. However, regarding their choice of music, I think there were no fireworks so far, and a little bit more variety would be welcome. So, here's a little game. If you were to choose an "iconic" western song for each Girl to cover, based on your personal preferences, what would that be? I, for instance, came up with: 1) Hikaru - "Don't speak" by No Doubt; 2) Keiko: "Frozen" by Madonna 3) Wakana - Wuthering Heights by Kate Bush
Ahhhhh, such a cool game!!! Your picks are epic! "Don't speak" is 100% PERFECT for Hikaru - I would absolutey have gone for that as well - , and yup, I can see Keiko slay during a performance of "Frozen". I'll admit, I had to look up Kate Bush and her song "Wuthering Heights"- never heard of her or the song before - but OMG, this was just MADE for Wakana to cover XD I feel like Wakana has the same vibe as Kate Bush so it would totally work.
As for my choices, I will try to do my best! Let's go!!!

Iconic Western Songs to Cover
Note: Please keep in mind that I don't consciously listen to a lot of artists outside of Kalafina so I will probably suck at this. These are honestly just some of my all-time faves that have stuck with me throughout the years. Also, this might reveal my weakness for some of the cheesiest 90s films out there, don't judge me :P
Wakana: These days it’s so difficult for me to choose because on the one hand I want her to sing every single power ballad but on the other hand, I just keep imagining her singing the funkiest songs out there because that’s just who she is.
My Heart Will Go On by Celine Dion or It Must Have Been Love by Roxette
I Wanna Dance with Somebody by Whitney Houston
Keiko: Just to be fair, she gets two songs as well.
Total Eclipse of the Heart by Bonnie Tyler
Right Here Waiting for You by Richard Marx
Hikaru: Such random picks but I feel like they could work for Hikaru.
I Don't Want To Miss A Thing by Aerosmith
It’s my Life by Bon Jovi
Everyone, feel free to share your ideas as well!!(ノ´ヮ´)ノ*:・゚✧
