there's a difference between ~taming~ your monster boyfriend (tbh, i think beauty and the beast and the shape of water does it pretty well) and ~raising~ your born sexy yesterday love interest, tho sure, there's overlap ig, and think lucia/modeus unfortunately falls into the latter.

inukag is interesting, bc i do think it's thanks to kagome's help that inuyasha becomes more socialized, but i also don't really feel that either kagome or kikyo raise inuyasha. so, like: taming. that's what the sit boy does... even if the anime wore out it's welcome lightning quick.

i'm not quite sure i've pinpointed the difference as well as i hope, but. something something, perhaps.
