Somehow a Hellcat got into the HoL and walked right up to MC, plopping itself down in their lap and starting to purr. How would the brothers react? (I am beating Lucifer with a broom as we speak, the cat is NOT leaving)

Lucifer is… not enthusiastic about this development. He spent centuries telling Satan that he can't have a cat, and suddenly, you have befriended a wild animal? What's worse, the cat hisses and spits when anyone gets close to you! Wait… perhaps this can be beneficial… A loyal guard cat would be good for keeping a human out of trouble, right? It's totally not because Luci can't say no to your wide, pleading eyes.

Mammon initially is… freaking out. How did a wild animal break into the House? Oh shit! It's gonna EAT MC! Wait… they are… snuggling? Fuck… that's cute. And no, Mammon is not jealous of a damn cat, so don't go starting rumors! In fact, he's so unbothered that he is encouraging you to buy a collar with a little gold bell on it. This is totally not because he wants to get more brownie points. I mean, we all know Mammon is your favorite hell-spawn! Right? Don't worry. He warms up to "the fluffy menace" pretty quick. You may catch them cuddling when they both miss you.

Leviathan is the most chill with a random animal just… making itself a home. I mean his closest companions are a sea monster, a giant snake, and a goldfish. Of course you need a loyal animal friend. All the heroes have one! You should name it after the protagonist from this magical girl anime who can turn into a cat through the power of friendship-

Satan is in heaven. You and a cat? Who cares that it's the size of a small puma and has three eyes? It's still a cat! And with you as it's new best friend, Lucifer can't just ban the cutie! Satan is quick to join you in the "we gotta keep it!" spiel. He already has a list of names and so many cat toys. Congrats! You are co-parenting a wild animal with Satan! There is no escape.

Asmodeus is honestly not huge on animals. I mean.. they shed, drool, and are so much work. But hey, if it makes you happy to be mauled affectionately by a giant beast… At least let him get some cute pics to commemorate the occasion! Just promise not to your new pal run wild around the house. His room is a fur-free zone unless it's vintage. He will, however, be all over buying cute cat toys and collars. Fashion show time!

When Beelzebub realizes the cat isn't going to attack you, he goes from Protect Mode to "AWWWH LOOK AT THE HUMAN PLAYING WITH THE BABY!" You do know that this is a juvenile, right MC? Hellcats grow to the size of a well-fed grizzly bear. Oh well, Beel will help you feed it. He's honestly stoked to have a new fluffy family member. Your new bestie is much more friendly than Cerb. 

Belphegor is pissed. That's HIS spot the little upstart stole! Honestly, Belphie is enraged that this feline had the gall to walk in and place itself on your lap, purring up a storm. He grumbles about it but can't help but appreciate the smile it brings to your face when you scratch behind the wild cat's ear. Just… make some room and play with his hair too, got it?

I’d like to hear a little about Idia’s Yutu. I bet he was pretty startled to see his hair suddenly catch fire + any other physical changes associated with the curse. (Do you think the yellow eyes and shark teeth are even caused by the curse?)

Idia is a popular boy and I have a lot of thoughts about him in general; I feel like I gave him a lot to deal with in this particular au... Jade is probably having a worse time mentally but Idia has a bunch of work I know he wasn't asking for.

As for the talk about the curse, I kicked it around in my head a bit and I am going to say yes the teeth are caused by it but the eyes are just something Idia got from his parents. I know I talk about thinking there is something wrong with Trey, but I don't think that's because of a curse and his eyes are definitely yellow. Idia's do seem to glow a bit so if you want your Yutu to have different colored eyes I think it would make sense if they had a bit of a glow to them, but that's just me.

Idia has the benefit and the literal curse of being in charge of S.T.Y.X., meaning that when blot investigations are conducted he tends to be in the know. His Yuu and Yutu should have been safe from anything the Marshall's decided to do but they weren't. Unlike pretty much everyone else in this AU, Idia learns what happened to his family. He knows that Yuu was cursed, he knows they were sent back to their world. But that's about it, he tries to find some sort of way to make contact with your world so he can bring you home but then things go to shit and his progress is severely delayed. By the time he has to help bury Leona it's stopped completely. Ortho tries his best to help, but Idia doesn't really want him to. As much as he wants to see you again, he doesn't want you to have to suffer through any overblots again, nor does he want to raise a child in a dying world.

Sometimes when he is alone, energy drinks scattered around his desk he'll look over to the little digital photo frame he loaded up with pictures of you, from back at NRC all the way up to your wedding and wonders if he should just let you go. There's a chance you being forced to forget about him means you would have moved on, maybe met someone else and had other kids. Was his kid anything like him? He hopes they ended up looking mostly like you, and knowing there is no way for the Shroud curse to reach them does make it slightly easier to sleep at night. He tells himself when he comes back to work tomorrow, he'll put the frame in a drawer along with his wedding ring but he never does. In his mind, he is still your husband, just waiting for fall to come so you can try to be together again. Fall might be another life, but Idia surprisingly doesn't mind. He can wait for you.

Idia! Yutu was a massive crybaby when he was a baby. Very clingy to Yuu and very afraid of his own shadow let alone his teachers and peers. He grows out of the crying as he gets older but not the social anxiety. Yutu wants friends, he just sucks at making them and is extremely stressed out by being around people. I could see Yuu maybe getting an animal of some sort to help with the stress and anxiety their son was feeling. And just by typing that I have become attached to the concept: Ida! Yutu gets a dog Yuu feels inclined to name Cerberus. Yutu adores her and takes very good care of her without any fights about his chores.

Yuu remembers Idia as being more of a cat person, but they tell Yutu they think he really would have approved of Cerb. They remember him as being a socially awkward, but extremely passionate about his work and hobbies. His love of retro games causes a lot of Yuu's cursed pains, they know he liked those sorts of games but they can't for the life of them remember the titles. Yutu tries to reassure his parent it's just nice knowing a little bit about his dad and that he doesn't need the specifics. Hearing about his dad's interests motivates him to learn about emulators as he gets older, and he builds Yuu a nice family computer after scrounging for parts.

Yutu prefers single player or local co-op games, but makes an exception if Yuu has a long term MMO or something like a genshin account because he does like playing with Yuu. It helps soothe his social anxiety to talk to people while he knows his parent and Cerberus are near by, but when they aren't online he's essentially a solo gamer.

Unfortunately for Yutu's potential inner gremlin, Yuu also remembers Idia's shut in tendencies and is determined to get him outside from a very young age. Cerb does her best to help with that too, it's Yutu's job to walk her and he swears she keeps trying to introduce him to people. He's had so many awkward conversations with the people in his neighborhood because of her. His other chore used to be helping out in the little vegetable garden Yuu started to help cut down grocery costs, but that quickly ceased being a chore and became a full blown passion.

Idia! Yutu loves flowers. He fills his windowsills with plants that are safe to be around dogs and has Cerberus help him dig a flower bed around your home so he can plant more of them. Sure the veg garden is nice too, but he loves the significance of and variety that can be found in flowers. If you live in a place that can keep bees then he will absolutely bug you about wanting to get some.

Twisted Wonderland looks horrible to Yutu. It's dark and cold, he's been snapped into a room full of people in a place he doesn't recognize, and his parent has gone non responsive as he tries desperately to shake them awake. He tries snapping at the fancy looking man that comes to help and accidentally bites his tongue, and that's when he notices it.

Mostly because Cerberus tackles him and tries to put him out.

"Owowowowowowowwww-" Yutu tries to push Cerberus back but she keeps whining and trying to lick at his face. She yelps as Yutu catches his breath as he sees what she's trying to paw at. His hair is on fire, or to be more accurate his hair is fire. He can hold it, he can tug at it, it's warm and is not burning his clothes but his hair is on fucking fire-

"STAY." The voice is so commanding that both Cerb and Yutu freeze, the strange man from before with his dual colored hair looks oddly nostalgic at his little command, eyes obviously softening at the dog as he shakes his head. "Good girl, no need to worry. Your little master is ok, he isn't going to combust." Cerberus whines, but she relaxes and Yutu stands shakily. "Though full warning you might feel like you are once I am done explaining things to you."

Idia and Ortho are called to NRC for an emergency and debriefed on their way over. Yuu holds on to life just long enough to speak with Idia a little, the first time Yutu meets his dad the two of them are saying goodbye to a now comatose Yuu. The silence is awkward, but the hold Idia has on Yutu isn't. I like to think that Idia and Yuu had talked about what they would have wanted to name Yutu, and that memory had carried across the world so there was no awkward introduction phase between the two of them. The sort of fall into each others lives immediately, the want for the other to exist overriding anything else.

Cerberus helps too. Idia might be more of a cat person but cute doggies are good too. ESPECIALLY one with such an awesome name, she's the most spoiled girl in the entire apocalypse. She's an old dog at this point, so Idia takes her back to S.T.Y.X. where she becomes a sort of unofficial mascot for the research teams. Idia makes her a uniform and everything. He regularly sends pictures to Yutu while he's busy at school.

Because of Yutu's love of gardening trumping his interest in technology, he ends up in Heartslabyul instead of Ignihyde. He is very embarrassed about this at first (he really hates the uniform) but Idia reassures him that he doesn't care about that. His kid could probably kill someone in front of him and he would not care, especially not at this point. So long as he is able to talk to his child about manga and games he doesn't care what extra circulars they're into. I can't see him being super excited about having to go to sports games, but then again maybe he would just think about it like a sports anime to help psych himself up to go (his kid would obviously be his favorite character).

Bad timeline Idia is a lot calmer than his younger self. He still loses his temper and goes on smug rants, but in general he speaks exactly like he does in book six to the S.T.Y.X. employees. His true personality only really comes out when he's alone with Ortho and Yutu, but he tries to keep his more pessimistic side in check. He wants Yutu to have some hope for the future, but the more he runs the numbers the bleaker things look.

Ortho is beyond excited to have his nephew back. He always liked hanging out with Yuu because of the lack of data he had about them. Every conversation he had with them was unique, and he was really looking forward to having the same experience with Yutu. He was just as if not more distraught than Idia when you both disappeared, so having Yutu back brings a bit more spark to his soul. Yutu was so stressed out from all of the changes he was experiencing that meeting Orhto felt weirdly normal. What's weirder: having an artificial humanoid for an uncle, technically being part alien, having fire for hair, or having a spell that literally opens the gates of hell. Yutu is not taking option one that's for sure.

Ortho and Idia are the ones who propose going back in time, but when it's their Yutu who is making the journey the suggestion is extremely difficult to make. Idia doesn't like the idea of asking his son to do this, it feels selfish. But then, Idia also feels like bringing him into existence before he could break the family curse was selfish, no matter what Yutu was always going to be doomed. But that just means he should be the one taking responsibility for this... Ortho volunteers himself for the mission but Yutu points out that that would probably be even more dangerous than sending him. It's a tearful goodbye, everyone knows that if the missions succeeds this timeline will cease to exist and they will never get to see each other again. They have a little party at NRC and Idia takes Yutu aside to visit Yuu's grave, firstly so they can say goodbye and secondly because he has a confession to make

"I was mega cringe when I was at NRC." His dad can't even look him in the eyes, and Yutu swears he sees him shaking. He has to blink a few times to make sure he is seeing things right, this doesn't look like overworked dad, or stressed dad, or angry at something mundane dad. If he didn't know any better, he'd say he was-

"Well isn't everybody?" The tips of Idia's hair turn pink at the question and Yutu's quickly mirrors him from feeling like he's done something wrong. All he's done is repeat his dad's own advice back to him though. "You're always so cool and confident-" Idia wheezes and Yutu almost has to catch him. "I mean I'm sure you can't be bad as me-"

"Oh you are going to regret saying that." His dad can't really bring himself to elaborate further but the thousand yard stare does all the talking for him.

Idia! Yutu was given three very simple instructions by Uncle Ortho about going back in time:

1) don't try to lie to me about who you are, I will run scans and figure it out. Grandma and Grandpa finding out would probably be bad and just complicate things. Easy enough, having Uncle Ortho on his side makes the transition between future and past a lot easier. Current Ortho might be a lot more innocent? Naive? He isn't sure if those are the words he would use, but he is certainly less used to having a soul and being his own person than his Uncle is. Not that this makes him any less accepting of Yutu... if anything he is even more excited about him than he was in the future.

2) try to keep who you are a secret from Yuu, but get close to them. We need them to stay alive, even if we don't know why yet... Less easy than hanging out with Uncle Ortho, but still easy enough. I tend to write all Yutus as not fully realizing how much they missed or loved Yuu until they got to see the younger version of their parent... but out of all of them Idia! Yutu is certainly up there for just how hard it hits him. Mostly because of Rule 3:

3) I am so fucking sorry for what you're going to have to deal with please be patient with me!!! I promise I love you and your parent so much I'm just not going to know-

So that obviously came from Idia and not Ortho, but Yutu really disregarded that warning until he accidentally ran into his dad while trying to find Ortho and saw him take out a tablet? That he used to talk with and got very panicky about when he asked a very simple question about it. Uncle Ortho helpfully tells him later that Idia uses it to help him speak in public because of his anxiety, and is very pleased to learn Yutu has never seen him use it in the future. But that doesn't really change how things are now...

On the one hand, Yutu gets it. He has bad social anxiety himself, but because he had a very supportive parent who worked with him to challenge himself in healthy ways he never got to the point that Idia is. He also was a lot older when he had his first experience with a traumatic loss and had Idia (who is a bit too experienced) and Ortho (who is just so understanding) there to help him through it. He knew that was not the case for his dad, they talked about it a lot in the future because Idia felt like he had a right to know, but I don't think he fully comprehended how bad Idia's mental health was.

Because no matter how much he might get it, this guy is still his dad and Yutu really wants to interact with him. He wants to impress him and maybe finally beat his high score on Star Rogue, Yutu just knows there are a bunch of stories he never got to hear because his dad was too embarrassed to tell him and this is maybe his one chance to find all of them out. But his dad is such a shut in he barely even interacts with Yuu! Yutu was always way too embarrassed to ask him about how they got together and now he swears he'll never know because him being in Ramshackle seems to have scared his dad off.

That's only half true, Idia doesn't really see Yutu as a romantic rival... like Cater he assumes you are related in some way because of the similar appearances and tastes in manga. Even when the two of you deny it he shrugs it off, hey maybe Yutu is just you from a different reality? He thinks he read a manga like that once... either way not his monkey not his circus. But like. It could be, Ortho really does like to remind him that Yuu is much less judgemental than everyone else on campus so if he wanted to make some progress on his journey of self improvement talking to them might not be such a bad idea. wink wink nudge nudge! But going over there still means he has to interact with someone other than Yuu and Mr. Grim and that's stressful.

He doesn't think about it at all when Yutu keeps finding excuses to not be there when Ortho drags him to visit because of how relieved he is to not have to socialize with him, at first anyway. He notices when Ortho excuses himself too, they certainly seem to be buddy buddy which isn't something he's going to complain about but as Idia does get closer to Yuu and *ugh* admits to himself he's got some feelings he starts to feel like he should at least know something about the kid other than his name. He does not completely figure it out, but he notices all of the relevant data points before he's slapped in the face with who Yutu is.

Like Lilia! Yutu's reveal, I think Idia finds out about who Yutu is in the middle of a fight. Yuu gets injured by a really strange blot phatom Idia has never seen before and Yutu absolutely looses it. His hair flares up and for snaps his hood to cinders as he's roaring out spells and trying desperately to make sure that thing doesn't touch his parents. Something you both hear loud and clear.

At first this makes Idia beyond excited. He probably joins the little fit his son is throwing except in raw joy because he's fantasized so much about this! He even has a little sims save where Yuu and him are married and they've got a kid and a cat and wow just look at Yutu he looks even cooler in real life than he does in a life sim! Yuu look at him, you guys have a-

A kid. You have a kid. With him. One that's got his teeth and hair and your nose and is sobbing in his arms about how much he missed you both and doesn't want to watch you die again. The sheer worry eclipses his second hand embarrassment at his own smugness as he awkwardly holds on to the sobbing Yutu and looks towards you for help. He's never been good at this whole emotional comfort thing, pls assist. So you pick yourself up and join the group hug and all three of you just sort of sit there for a bit while Yutu tells his story. About growing up in your world, how he came to NRC and his friends in Heartslabyul (Idia is blaming that on you, as a joke ofc he doesn't care what house his kid is in), and the plan to go back in time because of how hopeless the future is. It's not a story Idia takes lightly, especially when Ortho confirms it and sends him all of the data he and Yutu have collected so far. Idia is a bit gloomy and prone to complaining, but if you are in a bad place there are few people more reliable. He is a lot like death in a way, he'll always be there in the end.

Idia is a bit awkward around Yuu for a bit after the reveal, I like to think of you as being newly together at this point so Idia hasn't really revealed just how... detailed some of his fantasies about you are just yet. There are a lot of them, he has uh. Maybe written some of them down, pleasedon'tmakehimreadthemoutloud and most of them are perfectly normal and respectable (lies). It stops when you tell him Yutu had to come from somewhere and he dies, buries himself under his covers, and rises again a changed man. Yeah that's right, his kid did come from somewhere NORMIES. He had se-

He's not super big into PDA but he is comfortable being clingy around Yutu and Ortho, though he tries not to be overly cheesy around Yutu. He hates seeing his parents be all lovey dovey with one another and he likes to keep his compliments quiet and for your ears only anyway. I do like the idea of Yuu being a tiny bit more outgoing and embarrassing him a bit around "the kids" (Grim and Yutu) so his hair is in a damn near permanent shade of pink any time he's around Ramshackle. It's one thing to have your younger brother think the world of you, but to have a kid think so highly of you that he travels back in time to save you from an apocalypse? Idia feels super unworthy, it fuels his determination to work out the "problem" Yutu has given him even if his natural pessimism makes him want to give up.

"... Just leave it to your dad." It's an echo of the only other promise he 100% intends to live up to. He really does mean it, Idia is not loosing this match. Just you wait and see...

Summary: Keeping your new little alien pet a secret from your captain wasn't as easy as you had hoped.

A/N: Another bi-weekly prompts hosted by @pirateeznet This time I did two. This is the original idea I had. The other is based on a irl occurance that happened a few days after the prompt dropped and it simply fit too well not to write.

"Lower your voice, Woo", you hissed at him, smacking his upper arm in the process. 

Wooyoung simply shrugged with his shoulders as he laughed loudly. He ignored your glaring and how you desperately tried shoving him out of the storage room - while also trying to keep the new crew member hidden inside. "Oh, come on! It's going to be fine. Captain likes you too much to actually punish you for bringing a foreign alien species on board."

"INSIDE VOICE!" By now you actually growled at him. A slight regret washed over you, remembering how you let him in on your secret passenger. Not willingly, but you did let him meet Cerb - and yes you named the alien after the Greek three headed dog, since it basically meant "spots". A name you thought of as incredibly fitting with the yellow spots on the purple fur and the three spiked tails.

"What's with the uproar down here?"

Both you and Wooyoung froze on your spots, hearing Seonghwa's voice approaching from down the hallway. You glared at your crew member as you shoved him out of the storage room and slammed the door shut behind you, leaning against the door in a weak attempt to conceal it.

Once Seonghwa stopped in front of you, he narrowed his eyes - letting them dart between you and Wooyoung. "What are you hiding?"

"Ah! Duty calls!" 

You stared at Wooyoung's retreating back dumbfoundedly. "Fucking traitor", you mumbled, turning back to Seonghwa with drooping shoulders.

"So?" Seonghwa crossed his arms in front of his chest. He leaned against the wall, even tilting his head slightly. 

"It's nothing, really", you whispered, avoiding looking your captain in the eye. "I'm just hiding my secret snack stash in here."

Seonghwa leaned forward until his face was on the same level as yours. "Snacks. You sure?"

You pouted at him.

"Don't eat them before dinner though", he chided softly, patting the top of your head. He gave you a look as if he knew more than he let on but somehow he decided not to dwell on it any longer. Instead Seonghwa continued his way down the hallway again.

"Yes, mom!" You called after him, barely able to hide the cheeky grin on your lips. You chuckled hearing his exasperated groan, wanting to tease him some more. With one last glance over your shoulder to the closed door, you hurried after him, latching onto his arm and asking him what was planned for dinner.

Cerberus has two main "theme songs": Dance With Fire by Operus, and The Cage by Attrition. He's had more than one Underworldian song written about him, too, though I don't have actual music for those, just lyrics, due to me being a craptacular singer. Only one of these is currently anywhere online: Green Fire

4) What song describes your OC and their partner/love interest?

As a couple, they have a few, actually, but the main two are A Touch of Evil by Judas Priest, and Body and Soul by the Sisters of Mercy.❤️

6) If your OC is in a fantasy setting, what profession would they be in the modern day?

Cut time!

This is really tricky for Cerberus, actually, and the only thing I'm confident of is that he'd be his own boss. Possibly the world's hottest occult bookstore owner/operator lol. But I can also see him not working a "regular" sort of job at all, and being the kind of super-successful investor that can live off passive income and do whatever he wants in his (significant) spare time, and that may not be a whole lot different - although with a "mortal plane" skew, of course - to what he does now.

lol maybe he'd be a cult leader. 🤣 He was mortally pyrokinetic, after all. Kia had all sorts of odd jobs when she was mortal. She's been a masseuse, a supermarket checkout chick, a fashion consultant/assistant, a pole dancer, a telemarketer, a typist... She'd probably settle into something customer-service focused that didn't require a degree/formal qualifications.

9) How does your OC handle their physical health? Do they take care of themselves?

Cerberus is excellent at this...until he gets sick. 😂😂 He's very physically fit, in great shape, looks after his physical needs overall extremely well. Eats well, exercises, is very hygiene-conscious. He's kind of a workaholic and should almost certainly take more time off for just relaxation, but that's about as lax as he gets about his general physical wellbeing. And he doesn't often get sick at all. BUT. Partly due to infrequency/unfamiliarity with getting ill, partly just that he's always so resentful that it even happened, how fucking dare this happen, that he's just...patently terrible at accepting his fate about it. 😅 So when the Healing meds don't instantly and completely cure things, he's prone to completely disregarding everything he's told to do, because it's already proved pointless again, as usual, so why not try [insert probably bad idea here] instead. Kia's made things way better for him in this regard, and he's the best of all possible selves with her around, but still. He's a notoriously dreadful patient and he deserves every bit of that reputation lol.

Kia is also very fit, although less hygiene-conscious, and also far more likely to socialise in large groups, etc. She gets sick a regular amount, and is much better at looking after herself when it happens, too. She gets a bit cranky about it at times, sure, but she's pretty accepting of it as just a part of life, and just...deals. Not to say she doesn't enjoy a good spoiling when she's unwell. Cerberus, for all his failings at being a good patient, actually makes a wonderful caretaker.

11) What was your inspiration for your OC?

Cerberus was supposed to be a one-off serve-a-purpose temporary creation and problem-solver. I made too many OCs in early Underworld times and thought if I just had...like half of them killed off in one fell swoop, sort of thing, I could get back on track, haha. Anyway, so, he was meant to just come in, do damage, fuck off.

He...did not do that. 🤷‍♀️ I mean, he absolutely did do what I, um, brought him in for. He just also decided to stick around and take over the place afterwards.

IDEK. I'm just a dumb scribe lol. And I genuinely do not remember what/who inspired Kia, but she was also an unexpected "success story". She was an Incept, brought into the Underworld's Vampirism Caste by another OC pretty much nobody's met here - Vesuvius - and just...went about being Kia. And here we are. 🫠

Legit didn't feel like answering Drago questions anymore because damn did they take some time to write out. So, this one may be short. So reincarnation in Chinese myth is based on karma. The more Good Karma you get, your next life will be better. More Bad Karma, the worse. I believe the greater scope order from worst life to best is, "demon, animal, person, deity." So, doing by that, a Demon Sorcerer dying, being judged by Diyu (Chinese Hell), then sent to reincarnation to be a human is technically a promotion, meaning the Demon must have been a Good Boy/Girl in the eyes of the "benevolent" gods to allow two whole jumps in Reincarnation Rank. Looking from the demon culture perspective, it would be a disgrace. Drago would see it as a disgrace and embarrassment to demon culture for one of their one, one of the Top Dogs nonetheless, to be demoted to a human. Obviously he would not stand it and be judgemental and gaslight them constantly. Unless they can see eye-to-eye on personal things, like family issues and self-image problems, I don't see Drago liking them.

Now for the other version, if a demon spirit is trapped within a human body, we have already seen that happen with Valmont and Shendu. Drago would definitely help the demon out if it meant he'd get rewarded.

If the minimum wage shouldn't be increased, what's the solution? Do you believe in capping executive pay or having a maximum wage? What would you do instead? Also, do you believe the studies that show increasing the minimum wage doesn't cause inflation or do you believe those studies are flawed?

Look, all I'm saying is that this isn't a thing that hasn't been tried before, you can finds studies (both small, genuine or flawed) that support your claim and in practice do jack shit or worse. In Canada, we're practically infamous for implementing every genius socialist idea and watching it play out. Last time they pushed for a huge leap in the minimum wage here you know what happened to the very people meant to help? Businesses simply cut hours per employee and then demanded they do the same work in less amount of time. Senior employees have zero incentive to give a shit when the newbie who calls in for mental health breaks only to quit a week later are paid the same. Small businesses either closed or suffered a dramatic cost increase without making profit. Heres another thought exercise for you: why do you think so many of our extremely educated and well trained nurses leave the country? Because nurses as a part of our nationalized healthcare have a capped pay, is that an acceptable end result of declaring and generalizing arbitrary value to a broad range of a workforce? You have to accept that a nurse in Ontario is worth the same as a gas station attendant, a cashier, a shelf stocker, a Walmart greeter, or do you think they deserve the money they believe they're worth even if it's more than what the government deemed? It's two sides of the same coin, all manipulated not by the will of the free market and the people, but by government and that should concern you.

Money is a system of belief, remember that, if people don't believe in the system, that the money isn't worth the value of the things you trade it for, it will fail and artificially inflating value, during a time when everything is literally getting shittier, is not a real solution because it's not producing anything. Literally look at Canada's economics since Trudeau came into power, we've just been pissing away our money for the press and our dollar, our economy is on its way to nosediving this entire country just to 'own the conservatives' or whatever the heck makes everyone salivate over supporting our corrupt government and ignore their self appointed raises 2020-2023. Recall that I'm in the country where when one MP openly suggested all of the Parliament take CERB as their paycut during COVID lockdowns since they forced it on everyone else and it was rejected by basically all but the guy who suggested it. I have a hard time believing any of these people have you, me or the little guy in their hearts when making any decision.

But either way, all I can do is question if this is really the solution y'all think it is cuz it's not like I have any control or voting power in the province I live in, so they'll probably raise the wage anyways and we'll see it play out just like you want. Maybe you and your studies are right and we'll see a turn for the better, but I have my doubts, mostly in anything the government implements for the supposed 'greater good'. Despite it being the freaking middle of Winter, Agent Flare knew by now to always pack a pair of sunglasses with her. One, they made her look more badass. Two, there was nothing more entertaining than watching other cower away from her unable to read her expression from behind the shades. And three, they always came handy during patrol mission. Partly from the paparazzi who were more brutal than before with the buzz around Cerb Corp. Whatever, Agent Flare still had a fucking job to do and she was going to do it.

Even if that mane she would be stuck on routine Patrol which slowly, slowly more frequent. At least she was out of office away from all the other Agents who were walking on eggshells or having their doubts. It was really starting to get on her fucking nerves. Rumors fly. Speculations are made. The media was feasting on it. Nothing was proven. Don't like it. Leave. Simple. Or grit your teeth and solider on. Wasn't that hard to tell the option Agent Flare has chosen.

Most the patrols had been a drag especially the Agents she was paired with were constant headaches. Not in her 2024. So the patrols with those agents were walks in silence. Until they finally got the pair up right. Agent Ashina. An actual smile on the face when she saw their name pop up. This Patrol was going to be actually bearable with a much needed catch up.

Vee Deep Analysis

Showmanship

Vee is shown to continue her show related persona outside of the actual show, like most of the toons. Her show persona is heightened by running a gameshow, unlike the others who seemed to be derived more from part of the general show. It's seen in her lines after finishing a machine, descending in the elevator, and interactions. Despite this, only one toon actually treats her as a celebrity of any kind, Boxten, who is known to be shy. Everyone else treats her as a friend, acquaintance, or annoyance, so it can be inferred that Boxten just has not interacted with her much and she is generally seen as an equal. She does not put herself above others except Glisten and Dandy, and the Glisten interaction reads as more playful than a true insult. 

Roboticism

Vee being a robot is an important aspect of her character, it sets her apart from other toons that all seem to be just ichor and whatever else toons are made of. It’s referenced in finishing machines {comparing them to binary code}, descending the elevator, and a few of the interactions she has. Being a robot also affects how she talks to people, her wording can come off blunt, and she has a poor grasp on connotations of phrases that if taken literally would be used the way she uses it, such as not getting the connotations of asking if Shelly is free after this implying a hang out when she was just wanting to make sure Shelly was free to help her before asking. She takes things very literally, even if they seem to have been as a joke, such as making a mild threat towards Connie when she mentions possibly possessing her screen, likely in a joking manner. Vee, despite struggling with these things, is also capable of joking, as seen in her interaction with Poppy, but does it in a way she thinks is a very clear joke rather than a more subtle or plausible way.

Other toons forgetting it

Something that I see talked about very little is how other toons interact with the fact she is a robot. Other toons just forget that Vee is a robot sometimes. Finn, Bobette, and Shelly in their interactions forget Vee is a robot, despite it being an important part of her design and who she is. Finn forgets that him being too close is dangerous for her, Bobette unintentionally invites her to something she can’t do, and Shelly forgets the fact Vee has programming and would know the information already. 

Robotic does not equal Emotionless 

Many people, both people who hate and try to defend Vee, try to act like she is emotionless due to being a robot. Vee is a robot, but she is also a toon, and a sapient being. Vee can feel emotions and express them, as seen in multiple interactions such as her ones with Astro, Scraps, Ginger, Connie, Brightney, and Sprout. Vee is blunt, and bad at emotions, but she does not LACK emotions.  

Autistic coding

Honestly this just could’ve been the robotic section. Fictional robots tend to end up neurodivergent coded due to the typical writing strategies employed with them, and Vee is no exception, coming off as heavily autistic coded. Her issues with tone, connotation, and reading emotions all point to this coding. Along with her more literal interpretations of things and being serious when others are more joking. I’ve been asked “how can Vee be autistic she’s a TV” so I want some of the fandom to put their thinking skills to the test and think about the fact every other toon is also an object and she is a living, sapient being before trying to use that as a reason she can’t be autistic

Interactions with Others

The Mains

Astro

Vee displays a reckless protectiveness towards Astro. She offers to deal with anything bothering him like other toons or even twisteds, despite the fact that she has lower survivability against twisteds. Further showing her recklessness in their second conversation, she tries to deflect his concern for her, by telling him he should worry more about himself when he asks about her tail. Vee, despite her clear dislike of Dandy and the knowledge we have that she knows Astro is still talking to him, does not bring him up once, implying a respect for him having his own opinions and relationships even if she may not agree. 

Bobette

Vee’s interaction with Bobette displays how Vee’s roboticism is overlooked by some, with Bobette forgetting she is incapable of eating or drinking. Despite being unable to participate, Vee tries to be helpful by directing Bobette to Teagan for what she is looking for, implying that she does pay attention to what the other toons do and host even if she can’t attend. It also shows that some toons may not avoid talking about things that they know she can’t do in front of her.

Pebble 

Vee’s interactions with Pebble, like most with him, are simple. She feigns interest in what he’s saying like many people do when animals make noises, showing a slightly playful behavior. Her other interaction establishes her as a generally busy person, and makes clear her annoyance at being asked for things when she doesn’t have time. 

Shelly

Vee’s interactions with Shelly are awkward and display Vee’s difficulty with connotation, tone, and emotion. Vee does not dislike Shelly, and the interactions are not meant to be read as mean, as stated multiple times by Qwel. Vee’s interaction about moving the boxes shows her lack of connotational awareness, denotationally speaking asking if someone has free time does not imply a hang out, even though many people, including Shelly, may interpret it as such. We know from the interaction with Pebble that Vee dislikes being asked for things when she doesn’t have time, so she may have been ensuring she wasn’t bothering Shelly by making sure she had time first. The interaction about the dinosaur facts displays the issue of other toons forgetting that Vee is a robot, as Shelly forgets that she would have information programmed into her and likely would not want to hear things she already knows. 

Sprout

Vee’s two interactions with Sprout vary in their tone. Her interaction with Sprout about Dandy takes a more serious tone and implies a stubbornness in Vee, as she continues to try to argue with Dandy despite him walking away whenever she tries. She’s clearly frustrated that Dandy continues to talk to Astro while ignoring her. Vee’s second interaction with Sprout she is bothering him with a nickname that he seems annoyed about but not hurt by, and reacts negatively when Sprout actually insults her by calling her outdated. Sprout acknowledges that he went too far, implying they may playfully insult or annoy each other but don’t want to hurt each other's feelings. 

Dandy

Dandy is the only character that Vee shows explicit dislike for, presenting herself as above him in her machine completion voice lines. The dislike is mutual and the tensions between them seem high, with even Sprout being involved in whatever is happening there. It is not said what is the reason for their arguing, though some guesses can be made. She treats her dislike of Dandy as a self contained thing, aside from when speaking with Sprout who seems on her side about it. She does not let the dislike of Dandy affect other relationships such as those with Astro or Pebble. 

Commons

Boxten

As mentioned earlier, Boxten is the only toon who really treats Vee as a celebrity. Despite this, Vee does not talk like she’s better than him, instead engaging in his interest in her game show and asking if he’s a fan of it. Then making a friendly comment asking who doesn’t, and immediately clarifying when Boxten is confused by the comment. 

Looey

Vee tries to start the conversation about something Looey likes, asking about his circus acts. She does realize her flat out “no” to watching him was too blunt, and tries to soften it by clarifying that she is busy and that she may come watch another time. 

Poppy

In her interaction with Poppy, she attempts to make a joke by saying something she presumably believed was obviously false, saying that Poppy won a car. When Poppy believes her, Vee is quick to clarify the joke and express how she thought it was obvious. 

Shrimpo

Vee does not take Shrimpo seriously. Like at all. She even just asks if he’s done yet, it's clear he doesn’t bother her because she knows how he is. 

Tisha

A lot of people take their interaction really negatively, even saying they hate each other. Despite this, the interaction doesn’t indicate much about her feelings towards Tisha, except possibly annoyance. She only says Tisha’s name in response to Tisha saying hers, and is silent the rest of the interaction. Qwel has said it is notable that the two don’t insult each other directly. It is implied that it was one situation that they may still have conflict about by the wording of “What’s gone on” instead of “What’s going on” 

Uncommons

Brightney

As her favorite contestant and seemingly a close friend, Vee has two interactions with Brightney. In one Vee’s lack of proper wording is shown as she has difficulty giving compliments. Brightney tries to help her clarify it but it turns a bit awkward. In the second, Vee offers to set up a small thing for Brightney, seeming to enjoy her company with her offer of doing stuff for her and like she admires her intelligence by saying she is her best contestant. 

Connie

Her interaction with Connie shows how Vee doesn’t take non-obvious jokes that well, as despite the tone of Connie reading as more joking and mischievous, especially in her second line, Vee remains extremely serious and firm, even threatening to get Brightney to make Connie stop. 

Finn

Finn is another that forgets that Vee is a robot, as his first thought when Vee wants to be away from him due to the smell. Vee is straightforward that it is not because of any fault of his that she wants him away from her, but rather the fact it is dangerous for her to be too close and she doesn't want to need repairs. Despite not really being able to be near each other, Vee shows no dislike of him. 

Ginger

When Ginger says that she binges Vee’s gameshow, Vee is surprised that she just watches the game show segments in the seasons. Possibly implying that she doesn’t think much of her show being very significant. She also shows her care for other toons, being happy that the Holiday Toons have things they like all year round, while not knowing that they are hiding and isolated out of the Christmas season. 

Rares

Gigi

Her interaction with Gigi shows that Vee cares for the general well being of the others, wanting to make sure Gigi does not take everything that might help the others. It also makes a contrast with Vee’s game show personality of giving out prizes and Gigi’s more mischievous hoarder behavior.

Glisten

Vee’s interactions with Glisten might initially be taken as mean, but Glisten’s reactions seem to indicate that her insults are not serious. Glisten is completely unhurt by her words, exaggerating offense and taking a chance to call himself perfect at her insult. Vee also clearly knows Glisten’s exaggerated behavior, as when he calls her his bestest closest friend she knows he wants something. She does offer to get him set up with a new mic later, showing she does not actually dislike him. She is also seen reacting with a fond-seeming eye roll to something he says in the animation in the warehouse map.

Scraps

Vee is irritated at Scraps for having won her game through luck, likely because Vee admires intelligence in her contestants, as seen in her compliments to Brightney. She is not mean about it though, more sarcastic in the interaction where she does talk to Scraps.

When the dog got all squirmy he set Cerb on the ground who zoomed around then went into the kitchen to eat from the food bowl. He put his arm around Len and kicked his feet up to rest on the coffee table.

Comfortable now, he glanced over to the blond to see if he was alright with the closeness and noticed the blush. "Damn you look cute when you blush." Alexios said with a playful tease. "Is this why you wanted to take a break from working?" He asked and scooted closer to Lennox so they were sitting right against one another.

“Cerby, you’re too smart for our own good…” He chuckled as he licked his fingers in search for food by hearing about it alone. Lennox took out his phone and waited before it was picked up on the other side of the line. Without knowing that Alexios had placed his arm at the back of the couch, Lennox leaned against it as he began to order and once he was done, he didn’t move away.

Laughter escaped him when Cerberus whined and complained at the mention of crate. “Too smart! Cerby.” Then he was reminded on how heavy the dog was as it crawled over his lap and was quickly relieved by Alexios’s strength. “And too big,” but he didn’t mean any of it. Cradling over the big dog, giving him attention while the other held him.

His green eyes wondered over to the Greek man and  couldn’t help but smile as he looked at him. Strong and masculine features he desperately wanted to touch, but didn’t.

2) What do they look like when they don't feel well? Do they dress up to cover up? Do they tend to look sick when they are?

Cerberus is practically unable to not be stylish, and when sick he will maintain his usual appearance/outfits as best he can - which is pretty damn well, actually - if he's leaving the house at all. Casual observers probably won't notice much different, if anything, since his general presentation hardly varies. Those who know him well, though, will absolutely pick up his tells - there's a loss of intensity and acuity that anyone familiar won't miss, and his famously piercing emerald gaze is softened, almost...tamed, for want of a better word there. If he's sick and not leaving the house, he's probably sartorial housebound elegance in dressing robe and silk pyjamas. Rumpling may increase with severity of illness, time and, um, cognac or merlot, probably, lol.

7) How do they trust people? Will they give themselfs up for someone else?

It takes a lot for Cerberus to truly trust somebody - he doesn't trust quickly or flippantly, and he usually needs to know someone for a while before genuine trust is fully given. This isn't borne from expectation of betrayal so much as expectation of incompetence, though. But mostly, he's just not interested in sharing personal details with more others than he does - he neither sees a need for it or a point to it. However. The small set of people that he does trust, he trusts deeply. He's immensely trustworthy himself - it's one of his greatest qualities, IMO, actually - and tends to expect the same from other people; if he considers you a friend, he won't tend to question it until/unless proven wrong about this. And although he'll absolutely help his inner circle of friends as best he can for the most part, the only person he would truly give himself up for is Kia, and he would do it without question.

10) Are they easily flustered?

Not at all. It's not like it never happens, but...well, it almost never happens, lol. He's just not that way inclined.

15) How do they deal with loneliness?

An interesting one, this! Cerberus is a fairly naturally solitary person, and he doesn't tend towards loneliness much at all. He enjoys his own company, and can be quite comfortable for long periods solo, actually. Where loneliness does affect him is in moments of remembering past loss, or longing for someone's company who's gone from his life, for whatever reason. But he does tend to snap himself out of it fairly quickly. Any other moments of wishing for company probably just equals "missing Kia right now", lol, and that's usually sorted soon enough!
