Hey the second to last addition in that post about Minimum Wage is by Ga*ud

I’m mildly fascinated by the fact that not only do you assume I care about the (I assume) Terrible Opinions of someone who made a single comment in a long-thread post I reblogged several days ago - meaning a) I’ve already forgotten most of what it was about, but b) I more or less agree with its conclusion - not necessarily every comment on it! (which probably don’t represent every view each commenter has ever had, but are the only things I know about them), then at least its general conclusion... Not only do you think I care about this, but you also I assume I will recognize on sight a partially censored version of one of the random, forgotten commenters’ names? Because I, what, spend my time learning the Terrible Opinions of every single user of this website?

Anon, buddy, listen. I’m sure you mean well, but I earnestly exhort you to do something better for your mental health than obsessing over the failings of others. Pet a cat. Read a new book. Block some people on social media and immediately forget who they are because they literally do not matter to your life.

Also, general note: if I express, or implicitly express by reblogging, a sentiment that actively hurts or can hurt someone - something TERFy or racist or w/e - feel free to politely tip me off! As a rule, I like to be able to rethink my opinions! But if there’s content in a post from even someone who legitimately espouses harmful ideas - not someone who, like, ships a 19yo with a 17yo or whatever we’re screaming about this week, but legitimately harmful rhetoric - but the content in the post in question has nothing to do with their harmful messages...a) I truly do not have the time nor energy to care what’s the villainous backstory behind every post on this website, but more importantly, b) so many people who espouse harmful, hateful ideas, especially online, are doing so because they’re been dragged into echo chambers of these hatreds until their whole personality has become wrapped around them. So maybe the first step of pulling such people out of such hateful thought patterns is to encourage them to care about other, unrelated things, and so unwind their self- identification from the hateful beliefs. Encourage them to interact outside the echo chamber, including on tumblr posts about random topics. Because if they’re slapped down endlessly for even “good” opinions, or completely innocuous ones, the only place they’ll go is back to the hate-filled echo chamber. 

...But mostly it’s the time and energy thing. There are just better things to care about my dude. Block this “ga*ud” person and move on.

In regards to the Soul drama, I feel mostly anyone who sat down and read those screenshots probably feels the same way I do on it and so I honestly wouldn’t say anything if it weren’t for me needing to vent on this topic. I have felt disappointment in the Warriors Amino Leadership team countless times since I became more involved in the community back in 2017, and time and time again it seems as if it is the personal goal of the LT to prove that they can still find a better way to piss us off. I feel the need to point out that my complaints come from a place of concern and hope rather than an intentional bash on the LT. If I didn’t care (and this goes for many others as well), we probably would have stayed silent and just moved on long ago. Issues like this give me unwelcome reminders of the past issues that led to the current LT’s position as of now. It is the job of the present LT to hold themselves higher than the mistakes of their predecessors, and as things stand this does not seem to be the intention at all. If anything, I see a replay of history that many of us recall without stating as such by name.

Firstly, let’s revisit the quote in regards to why Soul was banned. The screenshot from Vaga that has been shared states this, “Soul was not demoted for voicing his opinion, it was mainly for leaking information-”. I could go write an entire essay on the topic of the WA lt and the insanity that is ‘leaking information’, but I’ll spare any fool who’s decided to read my rage and summarize it simply. What does a leadership team of a murder cat amino hold so dearly that leaks of a genuine discussion in regards to a popular and serious issue on amino will and did count as a leak of information? One of the most off putting and enraging concepts is that somehow this conversation is worth keeping private? I’d understand if it was a private conversation amongst LT members just hanging out or a discussion in regards to the privacy of another user outside of the lt, however this falls under neither. The discussion on the 13+ rule change has been public conversation for some time and something not worthy keeping a secret. Surely the LT hasn’t forgotten that a huge problem members have is their lack of transparency in regards to these situations in the first place? Rule changes and conversations in regards to it have no place being hidden behind lock and key, but that’s a rant for another day.

There was no real private information leaked, unless the LT is speaking on a VC discussion that they do not know nor have any proof in relation to it happening? More on that later. Anyway I feel like it only takes a hint of common understanding to see that Soul was not leaking information. Furthermore, why would the users pester Andro for screenshots if he had shared this so called private information? Where did he share it? Unless this VC was just him venting about the absurd one sidedness of the conversation and his anger towards an issue that affects all of us? But… that would be him being banned for venting so that can’t be? . In the screenshots provided by the LT themselves, we witness an agitated and heated conversation between Soul, Hawk and Andro. The conversation that supposedly made them uncomfortable wasn’t even worthy of apologizing for and I praise Soul for having the guts and passion to speak on something worth discussing. On an amino where accusations and real scenarios of pedophilia run rampant; those in power very much should be held accountable for the situation. This is also a conversation for another day, but Soul and Dark spoke true on a real issue. Only parents, TA and the individual LT have the power to remove underaged members before they potentially put themselves at risk. It’s easy to say that it isn’t the LT’s responsibility, but that’s merely a decision made to run away from a problem. If a stranger lures a child to their car in your vision, it’s not your responsibility to intervene in that situation either, but if that child is hurt because of this decision who is really at fault. I’m not saying who was right or who was wrong in the argument, but instead I’m choosing to prove a point. Soul wasn’t wrong, and the way he worded it was meant to make those reading it understand the true gravity of the decision they were making. Whoever felt guilty did so because there was a reason to. That was the true weight of another conversation that the LT was trying to brush off with a quick and easy majority vote. Clearly they didn’t learn from the situation with Fenris at all. The escape from that situation was blaming Soul for choosing to bring up this obvious point because it made members uncomfortable. I’m sorry to say but as leaders responsible for managing an amino of 200 thousand, sometimes you’ll have to face uncomfortable situations. As the first line of defense between members and potentially hazardous content, it’s more uncomfortable that rather than confronting and discussing Soul’s point, it was instead Soul’s fault for pointing out the obvious.

From what I’ve gathered, that portion of the conversation was irrelevant anyway due to the decision to move past that, though the issues still remained. There were LT members who openly held a grudge and this problem was never properly addressed and left alone to stew. In Soul’s chat, we only get to see one side of this problem. As someone who has witnessed Lionclan’s harassment some time ago, I’m more concerned about the mentions of Andro’s offensive comments over what was said in Soul’s chat as well at the discussion where these not very anon users pressured Andro for screenshots. Soul said nothing in text that could even partially be taken in the context of an attack on Andro. He vented his concerns and the reactions of those in the chat are not and never have been his responsibility. It disgusts me that this was labelled at an assault on Andro when the real “insults” (if you really want to call them that) were made by those who were speaking to him. I’ve never spoken to or really agreed with Soul, but these conversations seem much more like a real guy trying to seek comfort from those close to him. And this VC where he spewed insults sounds a bit far fetched considering not once has Soul actively attacked users in text. I’m sorry but the current LT do NOT have a good track record with honesty and I cannot take that at face value considering this. How do the LT know about this VC? Did they develop telepathy and suddenly know that Soul “attacked” Andro without the knowledge? Even if a member of that vc gave this information to the LT, are you telling me you took this at face value and called it a day?

The real problem with the screenshots comes from the invasion of privacy of those involved? Sure you censored the names (you missed Fen at one point btw), but occasionally you also missed the users speaking to each other. It’s almost too easy to figure out the chat participants based on the mentions of their names alone! The LT publicly posted a notice giving the community the names of the users who were accused of  “attacking” Andro. Are you serious! Flashback to Lionclan when Artclan was publicly outed as the clan in the center of the Lionclan drama. At least one of the current leadership (not name dropping) saw the aftermath of that decision and how innocent members of Artclan suffered slander and hatred based on that decision. While no one worth mentioning would go after those users on an argument that clearly favors Soul, this only further highlights the LT’s inadequacy in dealing with this situation. Are you serious? How many times do we need to say that your words carry weight! If you’re going to censor those screens at all, be sure to do so thoroughly. Especially when some of these screens are private conversations between users and Soul! Did you ask for permission before posting them? I doubt it judging by the conversations of those involved in the comments section of this aftermath.

So what’s the tally now? Inadequate and one sided information, invasion of privacy, public slander and a lacking of evidence. Also it was brought to our attention that some of these screenshots are months old! While I can neither confirm nor deny this, bringing back a topic of months in the past as evidence backing your reasoning is flawed in of itself.  I’m not even angry anymore, I’m just in disbelief. I’m sure we can expect to see a public, FEATURED apology from every leadership team member involved in this no matter if they’ve stepped down or not. The LT has overstepped their boundaries once more and I’m sick of seeing a half assed apology covering the issue briefly on one leader’s profile. Put it on the front page and give Soul the opportunity to step back up. What you believe was right does not and has not done right by the community. Fix it.

But now that you mention it, it’s entirely possible that isn’t the case.  In fact, the word “subject” doesn’t mean anything definite, so maybe there is a chance that some of the less heinous criminals (ex. Acro, Mimi Miney, Godot, etc.) only received a prison sentence.  I’ll keep that in mind for future letters to them.

Interestingly enough, I imagined Machi and Thalassa as having Indian accents, while the voice I imagined for Zinc LaBlanc sounded more German for some reason.  Also, as I just learned from the Ace Attorney Wiki, the Borginian (or Borginese) language has a lot in common with Egyptian, including the use of symbols rather than letters.  Your guess as to how they actually sound is as good as mine.  The developers are the only ones who really know, most likely.

No such thing as a dumb question here.  Allow me to explain!

It’s a pretty simple process.  First, I go to the inbox and scroll waaaaaaay down to where the oldest letters are.  Then I use a thing called Snipping Tool (something I didn’t know existed until I started on this blog) to capture each submitted letter and save it as a PNG file on my desktop.  For Mac users, there’s a number of equivalent tools that can do the same thing.

After grabbing twelve letters or so, I check each one to see if it has an “anonymous please” or “only hide email” tag.  For anonymous letters, I use Paint to erase the icon, name and email address, or just the email for “only hide email” letters.  Then I go to the blog’s “Queue” page (you can also go to the home page if you don’t have a queue yet) and click the “Text” button on the white bar near the top of the screen.

From there, I click the camera icon and upload the letter I want to answer, type out a response (definitely the toughest part of the process), and add all the necessary gifs and hashtags.

Finally, I click the arrow on the bottom-right of the box, select “Schedule”, and enter the day and time I want the letter to be posted (ex. Sunday, 1pm).  You can also select “Add to Queue” to have Tumblr set a time for it to be posted automatically, but I’ve found that to be a little less predictable.  Also, if it’s a post you want to save for later (like we do for these Mod letter posts), you can choose “Save as Draft”.

I hope that all made sense, and sorry if it was too wordy.  Best of luck with your blog!

Well, you know something?  You’re entirely correct.  I really let you all down with that one.  I still stand by my claim that hurting feelings is never a goal of mine, but I definitely could’ve (and should’ve) seen that one coming.  My sincere apologies go out to everyone who took that letter as a personal offense.

I’m honestly not sure why I thought it’d be a good idea to answer that letter in the first place.  It was most likely to show that I'm not afraid to address issues like that one in letters without promoting either side of them, but that obviously backfired this time around.  Hopefully someday it’ll be possible for people to discuss things like this without any tempers flaring, but in the meantime, I’ll be keeping my nose out of this issue on this blog, and I promise to do a better job of filtering out letters that might cause problems like this in the future.

A huge thanks, by the way, to everyone who’s been willing to forgive our missteps and keep trusting us to do better.  You guys are awesome, and I definitely don’t take that for granted.  Your trust means a lot to me, so I plan to do everything I can to keep earning it.

And thank you for providing some perspective on that little fiasco.  As I’ve stated before, there’s practically nothing you can say on the internet that won’t offend somebody, but I at least want to stay away from topics that result in a huge controversy like that one -- that’s not what this blog is for.  That being said, I certainly don’t intend to censor every controversial topic.  As ugly as arguments can get, they’re a huge part of why Ace Attorney is so enjoyable.  I don’t agree with everything that’s said in the games, but if I let that bother me, I’d be missing out on the parts that I’ve come to love.

So, while I do aim to be sensitive toward specific groups of people in my letter responses (and I obviously could be doing a better job in that regard), if controversial topics are something that easily upset you, then I’m sorry to say that this blog probably isn’t for you.

Nice!  These look like the sort of sprites you’d find in an Ace Attorney minigame that came with the full game, similar to “London Life” in the Professor Layton series.  Whatever you plan to use these for, I think they’re pretty cool.

I’ve seen the Dahlia sprites in a letter that's still in the queue, and will probably be answered within a month.  I’m sure the recipient will enjoy them as well.

I’ve seen this video before, and I love it, too.  Recreating video game music is a fun and tricky challenge (I’ve done so with other songs using Cakewalk), so I love it when it sounds as good as the original.  My favorite pursuit theme is, and likely always will be, the one from Dual Destinies.  I think it’s one of the greatest tunes Ace Attorney has given us, and I like how this medley resolves it on a major chord.

What do you have against Bex? (Can u also provide evidence thanks 💜)

When I first got this ask, I was tempted to play it off as a joke and say “the fact she exists,” and leave it at that. But I feel like it’s important to stay informed. And if you genuinely don’t know, I’ll give you the complete rundown. It’s long, it’s messy, and it’s nasty, so bear with me.

First, and introduction. When I talk about Bex, I’m referring to the actress Bex Taylor-Klaus, who is the voice actor (or VA) of the character Pidge in the show Voltron Legendary Defender on Netflix.

It all began a while ago when Bex liked a comment of a picture. The picture involved a ship called Shei//th. I censored the name so it doesn’t show up in the tags of that on tumblr. But essentially it’s a ship between two characters, Takashi Shirogane, a 25 year old pilot who is the leader of the team, and Keith Kogane, one of the other “paladins” or fighters on the team. People like me find this ship to be distasteful, since Shiro is an adult, and the others are teens (it’s actually a bit messier than that, since an official Voltron source listed Keith as 18, but the producers of the show, Lauren Montgomery and Joaquim Dos Santos, said they were not consulted on the book so there’s some question as to whether it’s canon or not). Either way, the consensus by most reasonable people is that it’s probably not a healthy thing to depict in children’s media, when you consider the considerable age difference, the power imbalance (leader, senior officer with someone they are in charge of), and finally, the iconic line by the character of Keith himself when he defines their relationship as a familial one.

Nonetheless, the ship persists, as nasty things on tumblr are wont to do. There’s a lot of shipping discourse on tumblr between two distinct groups which can be labelled as “antis”–people who are not in favor of any Shiro/paladin ships, or what has become to be known as “shaladins”–people who ship any variation of Shiro with the paladins.

Here is where Bex got involved. On Instagram there was a picture of a black shoe and a red shoe together and the joke was about the shoes being a prophecy that Shei//th would be canon. A joke, mostly, considering all the evidence above. But here’s where Bex got herself in trouble. She liked a comment on the picture where someone said “Keith is a power bottom confirmed.”

Obviously, this caused a bit of an uproar within the fanbase, especially between the discourse between antis and shaladins. Shaladins were celebrating that an Official Voltron Source liked their ship, and antis were angry about that acknowledgement of the ship at all by official sources, and the sexualization of a kid’s show (more on this later.)

So of course this sparked the discourse on tumblr. One user, @lancehunks, who was receiving asks about Bex, tagged her in the replies.They were definitely unfavorable.

Bex, being the big strong, adult, woman she is, decided that she could not take this obviously grievous insult to her name [sarcasm], and decided to reblog them all and respond to them. Keep in mind, that @lancehunks was just 13 years old. And Bex (22) decided that these were appropriate responses:

Yep, you read that right. Not only an adult but employed on a kid’s show! To a 13 year old! The target audience of the very show she’s a part of! (Oh, the hypocrisy). But wait, there’s more:

Just in case you’re confused, let me tell you the many, many reasons why this is unacceptable. 

 Bex is an adult. You’d think she’d be a little more mature by now just in general. It’s the internet and there are trolls.

The person she was addressing was 13!!!! Do I think it was mature to tag Bex in all those posts? No. But it’s… behavior that you can expect from 13 year old’s on the internet. If we swore at and tore down every single one of them every time they did something dumb, we would need a lot more therapists for teens in the world. Plus it’s really disingenuous to pretend that we wouldn’t have done something similar when we were younger if we were in that position.

Bex is famous. While she’s certainly not on the caliber of massive A-List stars like Tom Holland or Zendaya, she has a fanbase that exceeds the normal person’s friend group. Just because she’s been on TV before, she has groupies that will support her no matter what, who will troll for her, who uncritically and unconditionally worship her. I’m not a Bex fan, nor do I really care to know her well enough to know just exactly how many fans she has, to be certain she does have them. When she publicly reblogged those words, that “motherfucker,” those fighting words, she weaponized her fanbase. What I mean when I say that is her behavior gave her groupies permission to behave the same way. By targeting someone who didn’t like her (a thirteen year old!!!!!), she opened the gates to her fans and groupies doing the same thing, to a kid.

This lead to some terrible things happening. The 13 year old was getting death threats, sexual violence threats, and nsfw content, all because Bex just couldn’t let it go. 

What does this mean? Finish it? Finish the kid? If you’re so sick of the fighting, then why did you even respond in the first place? Bex is the one who escalated the situation. Bex is the one who caused the fighting in the first place (by that I mean the fighting between the two that night, the fighting between antis and shaladins has been going on for as long as the show).

There we go. Now he have something resembling dignity. But unfortunately the damage was done, and user @lancehunks deleted their blog. As a direct response to Bex’s actions. Bex caused a 13 year old to leave tumblr. 

When hearing this news, Bex offered a half-assed apology:

This is the most insincere apology I have ever seen. “The internet has Bad things on it and it’s YOUR fault for seeing them” is not an apology. The best part is that she’s a big fat hypocrite. “Sometimes, when it’s harmless, the best thing I can do is shake my head and keep scrolling.” So why didn’t you Bex? Why didn’t you keep scrolling instead of targeting a 13 year old?

In light of recent political events, though there’s one thing that stands out to me: 

Sound like anybody you know? The esteemed President, perhaps?

*disclaimer* I am in no way claiming that Bex is a Trump supporter. I don’t know enough about her–and I don’t want to know enough about her–to know where she leans politically. I’m just drawing the attention to the similarities in moral equivalency going on, here.*

Sure you targeted a 13 year old and weaponized your fanbase, but someone tagging you in a snarky post is just as bad, right? (Wrong.)

You’d think that would be the end. You’d think that Bex would be capable of living and learning, or maybe even just taking her own advice, and keep scrolling. But here we go again.

The next bit of drama started when the possibly canon guide book was released, stating Keith’s age as 18. There was a big celebration on the shaladin side because technically, that would make it “legal” for Keith and Shiro to have sex. Besides the fact that legal ≠ moral, again, Voltron is a kid’s show. But on tumblr this time, Bex posted this.

This time, the discourse surrounding Bex was a little different., This time, the discourse mostly focused on the fact that even if Shiro and Keith disregarded canon and morals and the fact that it’s a kid’s show ever did get in a relationship, the only thing that matters is how they like to have sex.

This is a problem for a lot of reasons. There’s a culture, pretty prominent on tumblr of women, mostly white, who are obsessed with gay sex. They write fanfiction and p*rn solely for their own personal gratification. This, of course, is a gross misinterpretation to wanting LGBT+ representation. If you aren’t a mlm (an acronym for men-loving-man, that includes many sexualities) then writing p*rn about is sexualizing them, using them as a tool to get yourself off, and not like complex human people. Mlm are more than how they like to have sex. In fact, that shouldn’t be a part of a discussion for anybody except between willing partners. This also feeds into the popular and damaging stereotype that gay men are predatory by nature.

So, as a whole, not good. 

And again, we have a whole situation escalated by Bex. The worst part is, to people who tried to explain this to her, the only response they were given was a gif:

So once again, a minor dared to express their distaste for Bex on tumblr. But this time, they didn’t tag her. This time, they censored her name. But Bex found it anyway. And she decided to do the exact same thing that led to a minor leaving the website, and to stop watching the show. 

Have no fear, this time though. This time, Bex is going after a 14 year old, at least she’s not going after kids anymore, right? [sarcasm]

Some final notes. 

Bex claims to be an LGBT+ rights activist. I’m also pretty sure she’s a lesbian herself (again, I already know too much about her, I’m not looking to get to know her better.) So, you’d think, as someone who wants equality for LGBT+ people and communities, she’d have the wherewithal to listen to specific subsets of that group when they say something about themselves, like, for example, young mlm who don’t appreciate being sexualized by a white woman. So I couldn’t help but laugh out loud when I saw this on her blog:

Now, I happen to agree with the above statement, but it’s so ironic, so hypocritical that Bex is talking about the sexualization of anything. Because kid’s shows aren’t safe from her sexualization and mlm certainly aren’t. How can one person be so incredibly oblivious? A mystery that I don’t have any interest in solving. 

I also want to address something a little more devious and a little more dark. I personally know of at least 12 different people who sent Bex asks, politely explaining some of the things I’ve talked about here, or relaying how her words hurt them personally. Bex never answered any of them. But she did answer this:

Just to be perfectly clear, I do not condone or encourage hatemail. Do not send people anything wishing them death or harm in any way. I have never sent nor do plan on sending hatemail, and you should be ashamed of yourself if you do.

However, this is incredibly nefarious. Bex doesn’t answer any of the many asks she got that were polite, but proved her wrong. She didn’t answer any of the young mlm who gave her their personal stories and who weren’t anonymous. Instead, she publishes this. And she did this on purpose, to make her look innocent, to make her look like she’s the one being attacked. I get hatemail every single day too. Things along similar lines to this. I block the user. Delete them, One, because I don’t want to expose my followers to that kind of negativity on a daily basis, two, a mature person knows that deleting them is the best kind of revenge because the user will be constantly looking for a response and they will know they had no effect on me and three, because if you do that, eventually they stop. This is intentional on Bex’s part to make the people who don’t like her look bad. I don’t like Bex at all, and I certainly do not support that message. Any reasonable person wouldn’t. Also the fact that it’s an anonymous message adds a certain air of doubt as to who sent it. 

The point is, Bex is purposely ignoring polite and well-meaning people and posted this to “prove” she’s the one on the “good” side because no good person would send that message.

This is also worth noting: 

This was posted after the lancehunks debate but before the power bottom comment she made. In this post, Bex admits that a relationship between Shiro and any of the paladins is predatory in nature. She said that. Her words. And then after that she said that Keith was a power bottom. 

The last thing I want to say, is that Voltron is a kid’s show. It’s rated US-TV-Y7. Which means for years 7 and older. Regardless of the ship, there should be no sexual content, be it fanart, of fanfiction of Voltron characters at all. We are all collectively responsible for keeping content age-appropriate for the target audience. So, stop it. All and any ships. 

For minors, this is my advice to you:Bex is a predator, a hypocrite, and a liar. Do not engage with her. Block her. Do not tag her in any of your posts. She has a history of targeting minors. Protect yourself. Do not engage.

Andy’s FanFic Log 28/02/2017

Hello again! This log is a bit shorter than the last since I was away for my cousin’s wedding on the weekend. But I felt the log was at a good point to post, so here we are anyway! Btw I don’t think I mentioned this last time, but feel free to shriek at me about how wonderful fics are/yell at me to read a certain thing. Both are good icebreakers in my opinion and are most welcome in my ask box~!

I end up reading a lot of random shit. Until I’m a bit more comfortable I might censor a few things out, but there will be explicit fics, darker themes, crazy plots, and insane ships amongst all the sugar and fluff I find around the place. So the really important thing is to carefully read the warnings that I occasionally give & that are on the fic itself, and back away if it’s not for you.

In any case it was still well done so someone else might enjoy it.

They rent a Hotel near Detroit, in a beautiful and snowy place. Everyone’s here. The future husbands are idiots. Phichit is a best man. Christophe too. And somehow he’s even more dashing than usual. This is gonna be a merry mess. ~ I love relationship establishing fics like this~ I really love when things like this are continued (alas this is not) but this initial type of fluff gives me life. <33</i>

He couldn’t have made it anyway. So, why was Victor Nikiforov asking him to be his coach? ~ This seems like a good roll reversal so far. I think it’ll be interesting to see where it goes.

Never in the history of the sport was there professional ice skater that didn’t have water as their elemental affinity. Katsuki Yuri had a well-guarded secret that he can’t have anyone find out about. ~ This is amazing! I love fantasy and mystic type things, so this is right up my alley. Can’t wait to read more!

Viktor finds comfort from that gaping hole in his soul via one Hiroko Katsuki, who loves him as much as she loves her own son. And Yuuri, well Viktor is his remedy, always and forever. ~ A really beautiful hurt/comfort fic <3 Have I mentioned this is a songfic btw?</i>

Turn Backwards on Go by inkwellofstars Words: 5.3k, Rating: Not Rated (G), Status: Wip Relationship(s): Victuuri In which Yuuri and Victor, happily married and retired, find themselves thrown into the past and proceed to mess with everyone. ~ This is a bit of fun, unlike most of the time travel aus which are filled with angst. Can’t wait to see how the two of them are going to continue to mess with everyone!

Only You by quesadiaz Words: 27k, Rating: Teen, Status: Wip Relationship(s): Victuuri In the year 2021, Victor Nikiforov, retired professional figure skater and Number One Husband, steps into a taxi to make his way home from the grocery store, arm full of vegetables and fruits to bring home to his beautiful husband and loyal old dog. A sharp sound and a blur of color is the only warning before Victor wakes up in the year 2016, sitting in a first class seat on an ascending airplane headed for Fukuoka, Japan. ~ I’m mostly enjoying this. A large part of me is just like “I hope everything will be okay T^T” This is also from Yuuri’s pov, a companion fic is going to be released when this one is done.

Gods of Circumstance by Ritequette Words: 15k, Rating: Mature, Status: Wip Relationship(s): Victuuri During his Free Program at the 2016 Barcelona Grand Prix Finals, Yuuri suffers a freak equipment malfunction and falls, hitting his head on the ice.When he wakes up, surprisingly not dead, he finds himself in the last place he expected… the 2015 Sochi Grand Prix Finals. Again.~ Aaaahhhhh, this is an amazing time travel fic! So much feeling! I really want to see how it unfolds.

Or in which Yuuri goes to the Temple of Eros to plea for help and ends up being courted by the god himself instead. ~ An interesting fic to say the least. I kinda wish it went on for longer, just so we could see some more development.

On My Love by RikoJasmine Words: 48k, Rating: Teen, Status: Wip Relationship(s): Victuuri Yuuri often thinks of his life as Before and After Viktor Nikiforov, the marking point being the day Viktor swept into his life and turned his world upside-down. After many years together, an accident leads to Yuuri suddenly waking up in the Before—back in Detroit, before the GPF, before he ever knew Viktor as anything other than his childhood idol. As if it had all been just a dream. ~ Holy shit this fic. I’ve cried a couple of times with it already and I’m really looking forward to reading more! <3</i>

I’m looking forward to seeing where it goes~!

The Hundred Dollar Bill by AQuinton Words: 7.1k, Rating: G, Status: Complete Relationship(s): Klance, Shallura (Shiro/Allura) Shiro convinced Keith to participate in a date auction for charity and now he has to go on a date with Lance. Lots of fluff and ridiculous text conversations ensue. ~ Very, very cute and fluffy~! I was grinning and loving it the whole way through. <33</i>

Roar by CrzyFun Words: 8.7k, Rating: G, Status: Wip Relationship(s): Blue Lion/Red Lion (Well, that was strange to type - no others so far) Lance met them while surfing just off the coast of Cuba. Hunk met him while helping out at his mothers’ restaurant. Pidge met her while solving puzzles with her brother. Shiro met him after leading his soccer team to victory. Keith… Well, Keith had always known her. Which is why he was completely unsurprised to find out the cats were more than they seemed. ~ Interesting concept and a nice fic so far.

Objects in Motion (When Unbalanced) by Mytay Words: 37k, Rating: Teen, Status: Complete Relationship(s): Klance Lance and Keith are constantly being mistaken for a couple. Lance is highly offended. Keith is quietly outraged. Pidge decides if she can’t have peace, then she can write an epic scientific dissertation on the romantic failings of two exceptionally dense paladins. ~ Very nicely written, well paced, and cute. It left me with a rather contented feeling, and it’s definitely one I’d recommend over and over. <3</i>

In regards to the Soul drama, I feel mostly anyone who sat down and read those screenshots probably feels the same way I do on it and so I honestly wouldn’t say anything if it weren’t for me needing to vent on this topic. I have felt disappointment in the Warriors Amino Leadership team countless times since I became more involved in the community back in 2017, and time and time again it seems as if it is the personal goal of the LT to prove that they can still find a better way to piss us off. I feel the need to point out that my complaints come from a place of concern and hope rather than an intentional bash on the LT. If I didn’t care (and this goes for many others as well), we probably would have stayed silent and just moved on long ago. Issues like this give me unwelcome reminders of the past issues that led to the current LT’s position as of now. It is the job of the present LT to hold themselves higher than the mistakes of their predecessors, and as things stand this does not seem to be the intention at all. If anything, I see a replay of history that many of us recall without stating as such by name. Firstly, let’s revisit the quote in regards to why Soul was banned. The screenshot from Vaga that has been shared states this, “Soul was not demoted for voicing his opinion, it was mainly for leaking information-”. I could go write an entire essay on the topic of the WA lt and the insanity that is ‘leaking information’, but I’ll spare any fool who’s decided to read my rage and summarize it simply. What does a leadership team of a murder cat amino hold so dearly that leaks of a genuine discussion in regards to a popular and serious issue on amino will and did count as a leak of information? One of the most off putting and enraging concepts is that somehow this conversation is worth keeping private? I’d understand if it was a private conversation amongst LT members just hanging out or a discussion in regards to the privacy of another user outside of the lt, however this falls under neither. The discussion on the 13+ rule change has been public conversation for some time and something not worthy keeping a secret. Surely the LT hasn’t forgotten that a huge problem members have is their lack of transparency in regards to these situations in the first place? Rule changes and conversations in regards to it have no place being hidden behind lock and key, but that’s a rant for another day.

There was no real private information leaked, unless the LT is speaking on a VC discussion that they do not know nor have any proof in relation to it happening? More on that later. Anyway I feel like it only takes a hint of common understanding to see that Soul was not leaking information. Furthermore, why would the users pester Andro for screenshots if he had shared this so called private information? Where did he share it? Unless this VC was just him venting about the absurd one sidedness of the conversation and his anger towards an issue that affects all of us? But… that would be him being banned for venting so that can’t be? . In the screenshots provided by the LT themselves, we witness an agitated and heated conversation between Soul, Hawk and Andro. The conversation that supposedly made them uncomfortable wasn’t even worthy of apologizing for and I praise Soul for having the guts and passion to speak on something worth discussing. On an amino where accusations and real scenarios of pedophilia run rampant; those in power very much should be held accountable for the situation. This is also a conversation for another day, but Soul and Dark spoke true on a real issue. Only parents, TA and the individual LT have the power to remove underaged members before they potentially put themselves at risk. It’s easy to say that it isn’t the LT’s responsibility, but that’s merely a decision made to run away from a problem. If a stranger lures a child to their car in your vision, it’s not your responsibility to intervene in that situation either, but if that child is hurt because of this decision who is really at fault. I’m not saying who was right or who was wrong in the argument, but instead I’m choosing to prove a point. Soul wasn’t wrong, and the way he worded it was meant to make those reading it understand the true gravity of the decision they were making. Whoever felt guilty did so because there was a reason to. That was the true weight of another conversation that the LT was trying to brush off with a quick and easy majority vote. Clearly they didn’t learn from the situation with Fenris at all. The escape from that situation was blaming Soul for choosing to bring up this obvious point because it made members uncomfortable. I’m sorry to say but as leaders responsible for managing an amino of 200 thousand, sometimes you’ll have to face uncomfortable situations. As the first line of defense between members and potentially hazardous content, it’s more uncomfortable that rather than confronting and discussing Soul’s point, it was instead Soul’s fault for pointing out the obvious. From what I’ve gathered, that portion of the conversation was irrelevant anyway due to the decision to move past that, though the issues still remained. There were LT members who openly held a grudge and this problem was never properly addressed and left alone to stew. In Soul’s chat, we only get to see one side of this problem. As someone who has witnessed Lionclan’s harassment some time ago, I’m more concerned about the mentions of Andro’s offensive comments over what was said in Soul’s chat as well at the discussion where these not very anon users pressured Andro for screenshots. Soul said nothing in text that could even partially be taken in the context of an attack on Andro. He vented his concerns and the reactions of those in the chat are not and never have been his responsibility. It disgusts me that this was labelled at an assault on Andro when the real “insults” (if you really want to call them that) were made by those who were speaking to him. I’ve never spoken to or really agreed with Soul, but these conversations seem much more like a real guy trying to seek comfort from those close to him. And this VC where he spewed insults sounds a bit far fetched considering not once has Soul actively attacked users in text. I’m sorry but the current LT do NOT have a good track record with honesty and I cannot take that at face value considering this. How do the LT know about this VC? Did they develop telepathy and suddenly know that Soul “attacked” Andro without the knowledge? Even if a member of that vc gave this information to the LT, are you telling me you took this at face value and called it a day? The real problem with the screenshots comes from the invasion of privacy of those involved? Sure you censored the names (you missed Fen at one point btw), but occasionally you also missed the users speaking to each other. It’s almost too easy to figure out the chat participants based on the mentions of their names alone! The LT publicly posted a notice giving the community the names of the users who were accused of  “attacking” Andro. Are you serious! Flashback to Lionclan when Artclan was publicly outed as the clan in the center of the Lionclan drama. At least one of the current leadership (not name dropping) saw the aftermath of that decision and how innocent members of Artclan suffered slander and hatred based on that decision. While no one worth mentioning would go after those users on an argument that clearly favors Soul, this only further highlights the LT’s inadequacy in dealing with this situation. Are you serious? How many times do we need to say that your words carry weight! If you’re going to censor those screens at all, be sure to do so thoroughly. Especially when some of these screens are private conversations between users and Soul! Did you ask for permission before posting them? I doubt it judging by the conversations of those involved in the comments section of this aftermath. So what’s the tally now? Inadequate and one sided information, invasion of privacy, public slander and a lacking of evidence. I’m not even angry anymore, I’m just in disbelief. I’m sure we can expect to see Soul back in his position by the end of the week correct?
