As it seems that there are people who say or do things that are remarkably dickheaded yet somehow people try to make excuses for them or pretend it never happened, here is a collection of some of the dickheaded actions we saw in the month of January 2025 to make sure that they are never forgotten.

You would think that billionaire manchild Elon Musk would consider keeping his trap shut for five minutes after a Clustertruck was used for a car bomb outside a Trump hotel on New Year's Day, but no, instead he was demanding that Keir Starmer release bonehead messiah Tommy Robinson from prison because people who are found guilty of committing multiple crimes apparently should not go to prison when they are caught if Shit For Brains says they should be freed in what is definitely not a desperate ploy to stop the far-right calling for his head for the whole "saying skilled migrants should get jobs over Americans Musk called 'subtards'" thing

...so of course his mother Mae Musk tried to fight her shit for brained son's battles for him, claiming CCTV footage of a Clustertruck exploding outside a Trump hotel in Vegas was faked

...but the inability of billionaire manchild Elon Musk to shut the fuck up on subjects he has not idea what he is talking about continued to manifest when he started tweeting that King Charles III should dissolve the UK Parliament and order a General Election to take place, which just so happens to be the exact reason the English had a Civil War several centuries ago which ended with King Charles I getting beheaded

...but it seems that billionaire manchild Elon Musk is not content with meddling in British politics, as he also decided he wants to meddle with British companies by dictating that Reform Ltd should fire Nigel Farage and replace him with Rupert Lowe - somehow missing that, as Nigel Farage is the majority shareholder of Reform Ltd, sacking him is not an option - not even for company chairman Richard Tice

...so instead billionaire manchild Elon Musk started blabbering about the US invading the UK to overthrow their government, because apparently the spreadsheet which dictates the costs of eggs and petrol in the USA of America is in a vault underneath 10 Downing Street or something

...and of course Dominic Cummings had his greasy fingers all over the billionaire manchild's constant talk of overthrowing the UK government, because Russian assets stick together

...but always remember that billionaire manchild Elon Musk also has the ability to be utterly pathetic, for example when it transpired his so-called video game prowess comes from paying people to play games for him and he takes the credit

...and when billionaire manchild Elon Musk was exposed for paying people so he can pretend he's good at playing video games by Asmongold, Musk responded by removing Asmogold's Twitter verification before ranting about Asmongold's editors being against him...because he's that fucking stupid that he thinks the people who edit Asmongold videos are the same as people who edit newspapers

...that would be the billionaire manchild Elon Musk who literally performed a Nazi salute during the inauguration, and when the suggestion that maybe he shouldn't be such a fuckwit he'd perform a Nazi salute in the full view of the world's media the best he could come up with is his opponents need better dirty tricks. Better tricks like whatever registered sex offender Donald Trump was rambling about involving Musk, voting computers and winning Pennsylvania?

...to which NBC and the Washington Post showed their commitment to journalistic integrity by...pretending it didn't happen, with NBC editing it out of the footage uploaded to their Youtube channel while the Washington Post excised it from their online coverage

...though the Anti Defamation League managed to have the most weaselly take of them all, trying to claim that it wasn't a Nazi salute but "an awkward gesture in a moment of enthusiasm" and not, say, the most antisemitic gesture somebody can possibly make, which is strange given the amount of things the ADL have called antisemitic in the last couple of years

...but trust genocide enthusiast Benjamin Netanyahu to wade in and also suggest that the billionaire manchild performing two Nazi salutes, which I repeat is the most antisemitic gesture there is, and come rushing to the billionaire manchild's defence. Calls into question more than a few dozen of his choices of late, doesn't it?

...and then it emerged that billionaire manchild Elon Musk is responsible for the deaths of dozens of people after a plane collided with a helicopter mid-air over Washington DC, after Musk told FA administrator Michael Whitaker to resign and, when he didn't, he was fired by registered sex offender Donald Trump who seemed proud about this fact when gloating about his sacking, disbanding the Aviation Security Advisory Committee and putting a hiring freeze on the FAA hiring air traffic controllers

Just when you think Kemi Badenoch couldn't look like even more of a terminally online moron, she blames "peasants" for the imagined rise in grooming gangs, because what will better improve their vote amongst the working class than calling them peasants who are responsible for grooming gangs hiding on every corner?

...and when the report into Matt Gaetz and his list of sex crimes came out, we had registered sex offender Donald Trump have to go into overdrive to distract attention from it by ramping up his talk of the US invading Canada, Greenland and Panama because that will apparently lower the cost of eggs or something

Brilliant strategizing by Mark Zuckerberg to announce the removal of fact-checking from Facebook, Instagram and Threads just before four years of Trump and Musk setting the agenda for what the truth might be that day, all while dressed like Logan Paul

...and by complete coincidence Meta almost immediately afterwards introduced new speech policies for trans people, which roughly translates as making it okay to speak to and about trans people on Facebook just as the average transphobe does on Twitter

...and when Mark Zuckerberg went on Joe Rogan's podcast (no, that isn't the entry, as tempting as it is...) he complained at the lack of masculine energy at Meta. That's the Meta where two out of three employees are male

So it finally occurred to Joe Biden that the quickest and most effective way to get Israel to agree to a ceasefire and stop their committing genocide is to stop sending them tens of billions of dollars of weapons on a regular basis. Who would have thunk of it?

Reflection: You Shall Not Pass!

Today’s Gospel reminds me of the movie The Lord of the Rings: The Fellowship of the Ring. In the epic battle between Gandalf and the evil monster Balrog on the bridge, Gandalf secured the safety of Frodo and company by staying behind. He stood guard at the middle of the bridge and declared to the beast, “You shall not pass!” It was so iconic I could still see and hear Gandalf as I type these words. Indeed, the beast was not able to pass, but it cost Gandalf ’s life.

In the Gospel, Jesus declared Himself not only as the shepherd but the sheep gate as well (v. 7). In those times, there were no fortified gates, no CCTVs, no motion detector cameras to prevent the sheep from escaping the fold or beasts entering to slay the sheep. To safeguard the sheep, the shepherd literally sleeps at the entrance of the fold so no sheep can escape. And if a beast should try to devour the sheep, it would have to deal with a Gandalf declaring, “You shall not pass! Over my dead body!” That is what our Blessed Lord did. He offered His very life for the sheep of His Church.

We are all shepherds—president of a nation, pastor of a church, head of an organization, parents of a family—with sheep under our care. Like Gandalf, we should guard our sheepfold and declare to every vicious intruder, “You shall not pass! Over my dead body.” Sadly, like Adam who was remiss and allowed the serpent to enter the garden, we sometimes fail to protect our sheep from the wiles of the evil one. Some not only fail, they actually invite the evil one to enter and devour the sheep.

As I write this reflection, a satanic convention dubbed “SatanCon” was about to be held in Boston, USA. The mayor of the town even declared, “I welcome with delight this largest convention of satanic worshipers in the interest of religious tolerance.” Jesus, our sheep gate, must be weeping with sadness.

Friends, make sure that when you stand before Jesus at the gate, He will not tell you, “You shall not pass,” because you gave a VIP pass to the evil one and handed over your sheep trouble-free.
