It's amazing how people don't read your bio on insta and ask for your art as NFTs even though you've clarified that you're not going to sell your art as NFTs.

You are one of the few crypto goons that actually makes good art. i hope you find a better way to finance your creations.
Deep thanks!! And yes, I think I'm aware...
Not only this but I'd say that Im one of the few (if not the only) that ABSOLUTELY NEVER accepter, abided or supported the 'Cryptoart' narrative that has caused a lot of chaos, speculation and disaster about our Digital Online Art we were doing years before 'cryptoart' existed, and that actually, was the cause it existed.
And no, I never sold a single NFT, I offer Digital Online Art with proof of authenticity, because in my case, as I work mostly with gifs, is the ONLY way I have to sell my work.
(Digital Art had always a way to be sold). The change of times is ONLINE not DIGITAL. Digital Art exists sinces the 50s.
And no, I don't 'finance' my creations. I create art, and if people like it, they buy it. I don't do tricks, scams, or any other single thing related with this 'cryptoart bros' thing.
I walk in my own path, as I'm trying since at least 2014, years before all the NFT hype even existed.
BEWARE Cryptoart actually... Is a very dangerous place full of scam, speculation and thefts... I studied A LOT before jumping in the JUNGLE.
Thanks! 🙏

HEADS UP! Animated headshot can not be used as a pfp on deviantart unless you can change it yourself, I use ibis paint and I can't use it as a pfp, I can turn it into a gif and size it down, no matter what the file size is too large. So Don't order that with the intentions of using it as a pfp on deviantart! OPEN COMMISIONS! All prices and do's and don'ts and overall terms are listed! Just making this clear any purchases made hold a 30-day 25% discount! It only applies to drawings over 40 dollars and to be clear the 25% is cut from the final price not the base price! If you we're charged 45 cause of some changes while the original was 40, instead of 30 dollars it would be 33.75! (This discount lets you use it on one drawing, you can gain another once you buy a drawing that you don't use a discount on! ^^)
Will not do, haggle prices after full price has been agreed on, pedophilic depictions, putting minors in unsafe environments, humans, (I can't draw humans sorry!) any drawings endangering non anthropomorphic animals, hateful art.
Do's, send me ref images, keep in contact, use any fursona you'd like I am willing to draw all and any species, send dnd oc's, fan characters! That is all I offer as of now! Custom ones like kimono and chibi can be requested though I've not drawn in my new style, and they will cost extra, I hope you guys decide to commission me or help spread the word!
Payment! I go through cash app, do not pay me before I have agreed to a slot and requested for the payment. Commissions can be either paid 100% upfront or split 50% upfront and 50% after sketch approval.
Communication! Please leave a comment/dm if your interested! I'll follow you and we can talk over dms I also offer Telegram!
Process and delivery: I will notify when I have started on your commission, you will lose the right to refund past this point unless I fail to complete your drawing, in that case you'll receive a full refund. While I'm working on your commission I will be checking in and verifying to make sure you enjoy the drawing! I'll notify you how long I think said commission will take once everything has been finalized, once the time I will take has been approved I'll start working! If anything comes in the way of your commission being made, I will make sure to let you know as soon as possible! Once the drawing is complete you will receive the image, note that there is no physical product
Terms: All my drawings have a signature you do not have permission to remove. I may post or record the art I have drawn, this does not mean I will claim the character as my own. Prices will change based on demand. I have the right to reject any order that makes me feel uncomfortable drawing for any reason. I do not allow anyone to sell my art without permission, this includes turning it into nfts.
The buyer is allowed to, Sell my drawing along with your other drawings if you were to be selling or trading your character off. Post on their social media with credit, this includes videos. Print the artwork and claim they own the character(s) as their own but not the art drawn.
The following is considered copyright infringement: Reproducing/using the copyrighted artwork commercially means making money off of it in any way. Claiming the artwork as your own. Removing my signature. Altering the artwork without my consent. I reserve the rights to the image and it's use/distribution unless otherwise agreed upon.

my thoughts on how AI Art is bad
you could write thousands of words about parameter refinement through AI Art, but it will never be famous for anything but destroying art hosting websites, selling commissions generated via AI & becoming the next scourge after NFT art theft
i don't care about the potential good uses of it (e.g. generate an icon for a dnd campaign nobody but you and your friends will see), if the line has already been crossed and no implementation of ethics guidelines or better programming is going to stop the scourge. for every one person looking to create something interesting and meaningful with ai are 99 opportunities looking to profit from it whether they sell commissions that they didn't draw, they sell piecemeal access to the generators or even more obviously they create NFTs with AI art trained on someone's style and then profit from it.
i'm not intrigued by first year philosophy student arguments about whether its real art or whatever the fuck, the negative implications are already observed (see: deviantart, twitter and pixiv being overrun by novelAI). shit is ass because it relies on the users to be honourable and ethical in their usage, because of how open-ended the technology often is and the idea couldn't be any clearer than that. and for some people, as long as they can produce a funny or novel outcome it's fine. i thought the initial dall-e stuff was funny cause you could render random characters into an elder scrolls game, but this latest shit is just so slimy with how it can accurately replicate people's artstyles against their wishes. its how they get you, once the novelty wears off, you become cognizant of jsut how dangerous the technology is - it wont replace traditional or digital art as a whole, but it cheapens the medium tremendously by drowning out people that would already struggle to be visible in the current art landscape with "here's this genshin character i like being put in every position xD generated by my AI"
the volume of artworks flooding pixiv and deviant art is kinda funny, and god help you if you're training your skills only to have your posts buried by a shit load of spam uploads.

Commissions are open!
If you’re interested, message me on tumblr, discord (sluggybasson107#3530), or email ([email protected]) Payments will be through my Ko-fi.
Below is my Terms of Service:
Terms of Service
I have the right to use the Artwork(s) I have created however I see fit. You are not allowed to use my art for profit, NFTs, and AI use.
The most I will do with Original Works (original characters/fan characters) is repost them onto Art websites UNLESS the commissioner wishes for the commission to be private. You are allowed to repost Commissions as long as it has proper credit and is not for a profit.
EX: if you commission me to draw X character for you, you may not sell that drawing of X character for a profit, whenever it's oc art or fanart.
Do not ask me to draw in different styles. You are commissioning me for My style whether it be coloring style or drawing style.
Regarding redraws/revisions. You must ask ahead of time in your Note/DM/Email that you wish to see a WIP or process of your commissions. Keep in mind that doing this causes me to work slower on your piece since I need to wait for your "ok". I will not push your commission back compared to others.
I will redraw a complete sketch once. (Let’s say you don't like the pose/idea and you want something else in this stage. It is fine but you must say so in the SKETCH PHASE) and 3 minor tweaks before a fee will be sent out for every extra change added. 5$ dollars would be added to your final payment for every extreme change.
The refund will be given up to the amount of work I had started. So if I never started your commission you can get a full refund. If I have started your commission and have gotten to the inking phase. I will refund you up to the inking phase.
If you come to me asking for me to draw something that YOU would like to sell as merch, whether it be charms, shirts, designs, or Logos, I'm willing to negotiate. Please keep in mind that the prices will increase based on how you use my art.
Keep in mind that I will not draw furries, nsfw, fetishes, mecha, political, and bigotry. Also, if you ask me to draw you something that I am not comfortable with, I have every right to decline your offer.
Payment
I only work over Ko-Fi invoices for payments. You must pay me after I show you a sketch of your commission with a watermark on it.

What is your opinion on nfts? I see several nft artists' work being shared on your blog and I was just wondering
i think they are stupid. If i'm sharing art that happens to be by artists that are now selling NFTs my bad. I have like a whole saved folder on IG of artists that i frequently share and i've been told before (cause y'all somehow really don't fucking miss a thing when it comes to my blog) that some of the artists just added that they sell NFTs in their bio. I just sometimes don't notice.

To my knowledge, nfts don't actually provide copyright protection to the user, making it perfectly legal to copy and paste an nft. while I don't believe legality and morality are the same, I do think, in this case, there's nothing wrong morally or legally with copying an nft.
On the other hand, I can see why people get upset about ai art. aside from it toeing the line between infringing copyright or not, I'm much more concerned about it taking away money from people who sell art online.
However, I don't think ai art is going to cause a substantial issue for people making art online in the long run, at least not in it's current form (for much of the same reason piracy doesn't tend to affect profits, and based on the past, where new technologies expected to kill off old forms of art, and did not.)
The weird thing about people that made fun of NFT people being all “Nooo your rightclickers that NFT is my property you can’t use save that jpg” who then turned around say AI art is theft even though they’re now working with an even more overly broad conception of “intellectual property” is like ok you have that contrast but also like
A lot of artists made money from NFTs? Like if the concern is how can individual artists make a living in the digital age bc taking custom commissions only goes so far like, NFT market enabled that. Like even the framework of the naive NFT person that thinks they’re buying the rights to something is based on the assumption that they are purchasing the property rights from the original owner and creator.
Was all this just people bandwagoning without actually understanding what’s going on? Would people on the internet really do that?

Patch notes on my thoughts on AI Art
I'm not a tech idealist so I see shit like AI art and only three things come to mind:
AI Art sold to people as commissions
AI Art NFTs
Vocal contingents of people talking about how they feel persecuted for people shitting on them for spending hours mastering parameter refinement and rightfully being called skill-less.
"You don't understand how it works", oh execpt that almost every notable example of the technology being abused demonstrates that even if you lay out ethical guidelines and terms of service it doesn't stop the abuse cause ultimately it expects the users to act in good faith which is a fucking insane system to rely on given that technology's intended purpose is not always its practical use-case.
You're expecting people to choose ethical AI art generators with the embedded assumption that a significant amount of individuals will be guided to those ones instead of the ones that can farm the shit out of their favourite artist's style and spit out a commission at less than 1% of the cost.
I am not a tech idealist, nor am I a computer scientist/programmer that has a hard on for the promising areas of the tech: e.g. making personal use items like DND icons for monsters & players. I don't care about that at all, but you must realise that the niche positive use cases come with the wide-spread abuse opportunities right?
When you have to read shit like "man replicates recently deceased artist's style with AI", "plagiarist earns money through artist's style selling ai generated works" and see art hosting sites flooded to the brim with AI art that is default opt-in that you have to manually turn off you really have to wonder are these the problems of an emerging technology, or a technology that cannot feasibly be controlled.
If you say some shit like "it's democratizing art", I must remind you that creating art that you envision with ease is not a human necessity, nor do you have the fucking right to pillage the skills of others for novel concepts that you have the ideas but not the skill to execute. Let's stop "being fair" to techbro bullshit, how is this shit even defended on here at all?
Some of the muddy discourse around it is like "stealing labour" and "real art" arguments, I'm not as fascinated by these particular points, but that doesn't mean the vitriol people have towards AI Art is unwarranted just because some of their premises are not that agreeable.
You can already see examples of AI art having racial biases, turning people with darker skin tones white for no reason (like that new photo => anime one).
You can see that AI art for some people isj ust about making random fetish art, I literally got recommended a random ass tweet of some Genshin character's detailed armpit sweat recommended below a tweet about what my friend's thoughts on a game were. Are you for real? That's more of a twitter issue, but yeah.
You can see that AI Art won a fucking prize at the Colorado State Fair's Fine Arts competition and people were fucking pissed.
Anime Los Angeles had to ban AI Art from the artist alley because you can produce a dozen unique images to sell in bulk and you still make money off people who aren't privy to the indicators of AI Art.
There are so many notable examples of the misuse of AI art and how damaging it is to fandom, to the ability to see legitimate artworks (especially if it's some unpopular ass character that one person just spams the fucking tag with) and how difficult it is to moderate the content because there is no super convenient way to detect AI Art.
It is not a beast to be tamed, it is a scourge that should be eradicated from this planet because using a fucking honor system when traditional and digital art is already reposted and fucking stolen prior to the inception AI. Do you know what you get now? A layer of obfuscation, on-demand content generation that farms impressions and followers, paying no mind to the skill check that people are skipping over cause they know how to make a decently convincing AI picture based on very specific parameter searching.
It's no longer "this pic is so coool, credits to who made this", it's now [insert joke caption here] [ai generated image].
And skill does not equal influence (and lets not be obtuse, there are fundamentals that can be meaningfully measured i.e. anatomical accuracy, the consistency of linework and other such things), I know many skilled painters thta can do both realistic and anime styles that have like 1500 followers - but you know what it does do?
It means budding artists are held to the fucking unrealistic standards of AI Art trained to artists with over 20 years of professioanl experience bodying their earnest works of their character that they love. It trains the subsconsious to discern betwen good and bad under a very superficial scope. In turn, it lowers their engagement with random people, but random people that aren't your friends constitute a large amt of followers for any creator.
I don't condone harassing random people, but I certainly wont feel a lick of sympathy when people express their woes about people shitting on their 20 word prompt pictures that an AI spat out in 15 minutes.
At the end of it all, how I feel about AI Art is this:
It's kinda like a swiss army knife, it can do a lot of shit, some are harmless in nature -- but if it's got like 13 different Knives That Are Good At Killing People, should we be that surprised reading about times it's used to kill people (metaphorically). It's not the strongest rhetoric in the world, but it's how I look at it. There's so much bad it can, and has done, that we are beyond the point of reigning it in.
I'm just keeping it real, this shit is bad, and honestly, I am glad that so many artists I follow on social media shit on it because it deserves to be pummeled into the ground. Ad hominem my balls, just pick up a pencil and paper and stop feeling so entitled to pillaging the works of others mayhaps - don't really care how you wokeify it, it's still stupid as shit
Saying "democratizing art" and making art accessible are just uses of buzzwords that don't mean anything socially progressive, they are lies meant to sell you on subscribing to a technology or tacitly accepting its existence

overheard on the street
I went out today to have a coffee. It was unfortunate, I had to go to a really crowded overrated cafe in [the main shopping street] of monaco. I miss chai lattes badly and that's the only place I know of that does it decently around here. So I went and it was like the whole of monaco was there.
I order 5 and tell the waiter to bring them to me at a pace of one every 10 minutes so I can enjoy it while it's nice and hot.
So I sit down and the first of the chai lattes come. It's a work of art and I'm pretending I'm back at the ANU campus at REX cafe.
two guys come in and sit down next to me. one is a white guy in a plaid shirt and the other is dark skinned and a fashion victim (head to toe DSquared plus hermes kelly). they are kind of uncomfortable, smiling too much.
(W) white guy: I work at jane street. I graduated from [redacted uk uni]. I believe in Effective Altruism and donate half my salary to good causes like saving the bees and [redacted organization] what about you?
he has a fake british accent with german underneath
(K) kelly bag: I have my own atelier. I make couture clothes for men, women, non binary and dogs. What is [redacted organisation]?
W: it's a socially beneficial hedge fund. They use lots of computers and maths to determine which properties to buy and how to rent them out, in 50 years time the hedge fund will be worth a lot and they will sell it and use the money to help blind nepalese orphans. Tell me about your atelier.
K: oh that's super cool. I love technology and computers. Right now we are moving away from selling real clothes, we want to sell digital fashion. it's more eco freindly, because fast fashion produces a lot of fabric waste
W: oh great tell me what is digital fashion? haha (fake laugh) i don't know anything about fashion (gestures at his cheap plaid shirt).
K: we design clothes that are bespoke and sell the image. you can buy the nft and we will photoshop the digital clothes onto your picture and you can put it on instagram! it's wayyy less wasteful than shein!!! Anyway tell me what you like to do for fun
W: I like to play padel and listen to wagner. I love going to the bayreuth in the summer
K: oh wagner was an anti-semite. I think it's so problematic
W: yes he was but The Ring is a jewel of my culture
K: I think we should not listen to problematic artists
W: I try to separate the art from the artist!
(they continue with this conversation as I have my 2nd, 3rd and 4th chai latte. I'm beginning to feel a bit uncomfortable. I think I should not have ordered 5)
K: did you say that about polanksi?
W: well no but I don't like to watch movies it is not an efficient use of my time because we have very limited time on earth. hmm what do you like to listen to?
K: I love grimes. I worked with her to release an nft for jadu. I also like to watch F1. My favourite is charles leclerc
W: but aren't they also problematic how can you like them?
K: well they were not nazis
W: wagner came before nazis! (he is very upset, he may never be able to listen to The Ring again)
(long discussion about whether wagner was indeed a nazi)
