For someone who is kinda a self made sword master, the words "your master"... deep down, do you think they make him think of the Master of Di Forteress ?

It's not "i can't call you that" but "these words are...hard for me to say"

Is there a dichotomy in the term master for Di Fensheng ? I'm pretty sure here, there is some subtext about "no, i can't call you my master cause you are my rival" but...what if he hates the term cause a master is not something good, which is also why he can't associate it with Li Lianhua?
