“where do you want to go today?” sakura’s voice echoed in soojin’s ears, the latter pulling her attention from mindless scrolling through dating apps on her phone in order to face her friend. after a moment of contemplation, soojin shrugged. “not sure. what are you thinking?”

sakura’s lip curled. “get super drunk and flirt with people way out of our league.”

“there aren’t any people out of our league, sorry babe.”

the ravenette’s head tipped back with a laugh. it was soojin’s first semester at a korean college, having gone to high school in canada with her twin brother, sehoon. she had been afraid that korea wouldn’t live up to her dreams of college frats and sororities, but she was instantly proven incorrect when sakura brought her to a back to school party.

before she knew it, soojin was pulling on one of her favorite outfits and styling her hair. she touched up her makeup and tied up the laces of her tall, heeled boots as her roommate threw a jacket over her own shoulders. the action caused the ravenette to furrow her brows. “is it going to be cold tonight?”

sakura shrugged. “not sure. the weather app says no, but,” she shrugged again, leaving it at that.

the two college girls took an uber to a bar, one soojin wasn’t necessarily familiar with, in the heart of seoul. the girl couldn’t help but feel a swell of something in her chest as they drove past her grandfather’s building. bae corp. she quickly averted her gave back to sakura as the other continued telling the story about a new dating app soojin had never heard out.

“we’re here!” the older shouted as the uber pulled to a stop. the building was thrumming with life, flashing lights and loud music shaking the vehicle before either could even open the door.

after paying, sakura took hold of soojin’s hand and opened the door. both girls let out short, giddy laughs as they made their way into the bar.

kun continued swirling what was left of the liquor in his shot glass as his co-workers threw back drink after drink. they’d brought him here to make him feel better, but kun just felt worse.

finally noticing his friend’s demeanor, yangyang dropped into the open seat next to kun. “come on, buddy. we all know you deserved that promotion, alright, but sulking isn’t going to get you the job.”

true, the older thought, looking up at yangyang with a blank expression. “but it beats getting piss drunk in a bar full of college students.”

“look, man, we’re just trying to help take your mind off of it,”

“i appreciate the thought,” kun said before sipping the rest of his drink and reaching for his jacket.

yangyang’s buzzed gaze shot between his co-worker and the jacket in his hands. “uh-uh. no way are you leaving after one shot.” he reached out and grabbed the jacket out of kun’s hand. “go talk to a girl or something.”

huffing a low, tired sigh, the way-too-sober man ordered another drink.

“remind me again why i listen to you?”

“ooh, that bad?”

soojin hooked up with a random pretty boy in the restroom (as suggested by her best friend) and was instantly reminded why looks don’t equal experience. not only was the position uncomfortable against the sleek bathroom divider, but soojin hadn’t even been able to finish before he shot his load in the condom and went back to his completely wasted frat friends.

meanwhile, soojin resided with her drink at the bar, sipping leisurely to avoid getting as drunk as the boy she’d just had disappointing sex with.

“what are you drinking tonight, beautiful?”

both girls turned their heads to the left, where a man stood with a toothy grin and a wad of cash between his fingers. sakura took that as her cue to leave, despite the glares she was getting from her roommate to stay.

turning back toward the guy, soojin tried for a relatively kind smile. “sorry. not in the mood.”

that didn’t work. “come on, gorgeous. a girl as smokin’ as you is always in the mood.” soojin didn’t have time to gag at the line when his fingers came in contact with her long, dark hair, causing the girl to pull away instead. “don’t touch me.”

“fiesty. you’ll be one hell of a lay, for sure.”

soojin couldn’t hide the disgust from her face if she tried. what the fuck is this guy on? when she decided that normal conversation wasn’t going to work on this creep, the girl got up and decided to find somewhere else to sip her drink.

she shouldn’t have been as surprised as she was when she looked back to see the man right behind her. clenching her jaw, soojin slowed enough to face the creep. “i’m not interested. go bother someone else.”

“i like bothering you~”

what the fuck? she was about to leave when his hand suddenly wrapped around her arm, holding her in place. soojin saw red. “if you don’t let go and leave me the fuck alone, i swear to god—“

before she could complete her threat, the man was shoved back. standing in front of her was someone with an amazing back, from what the girl could gather.

“she said to let her go.”

shit. why is his voice so attractive? oh god, i’m drunk.

a scoff left the creep's lips. “aww, look, the little princess has a knight in shining armor~” it was apparent from the slurs in his voice that the creep was just as drunk as the frat group from earlier. soojin couldn’t see past the man in front of her, but she could tell by the way he gently leaned toward her that mr. creep was poking at his chest. “and who the hell do you think you are?”

there wasn’t a beat of hesitation before the next three words left the stranger’s mouth, and soojin felt her face grow hot. “i’m her boyfriend.”

kun was near positive that if the jackass in front of him touched him or the girl behind him again, he was going to break his fingers. he was too angry about work to think rationally.

he wasn’t sure if his lie was convincing enough, but right after he said it, the drunk went pale. “oh, i-i’m sorry, dude, but she was totally leading me on!”

kun opened his mouth to lecture the man on how incorrect that was, but a small ball of raven fury slipped past him and punched the drunk right in the nose. his mouth remained hanging in shock as the girl began cursing at the drunk, fighting the urge to start laughing right then and there.

in the corner of his eye, kun saw two large men who looked very much like security and carefully looped an arm around the strange girl’s waist. he couldn’t see her face through her hair but assumed where her ear was as he said, “calm down and come with me before we both get banned for life.”

thankfully, she stopped fighting long enough for kun to carefully pull her outside and away from the guard’s view.

once they were outside, kun let go of the girl and ran a hand through his short, black hair. he was glad yangyang let him keep his jacket because the sudden change in temperature from inside was enough to make him shiver.

when he remembered the girl, kun quickly lifted his head and took a step toward her. “hey, are you okay—“

she looked up, and kun felt the air leave his lungs.

he hadn’t been able to get a good look at her in the bar, but out here, he could see her features perfectly. her milky skin was flushed, either from makeup or alcohol, but the contrast was stunning. she had soft, gently upturned eyes that sparkled against the neon lights. and her lips...

when kun caught himself staring, he looked away. “s-sorry.”

“i’m okay,” the girl said, her voice like silk to kun’s ears. the sound brought a buzz to his head that for sure wasn’t just from alcohol, and when kun dared another look at her, he realized her arms were bare.

without properly thinking it out, kun removed his jacket and held it in front of him, silently asking permission, before wrapping it gently around the girl’s frame. he was close enough to catch a whiff of her flowery perfume, and kun had to force himself to step away.

he couldn’t bring himself to meet her eyes again, but when the girl spoke again, kun could hear the smile in her voice. “thank you. for helping me. and for the jacket.” kun nodded. from his sight of the concrete ground between them, he watched as her high-heeled boots steadily came into view.

the stranger tipped at the waist until she managed to catch his wandering gaze. she smiled, dazzlingly, when she succeeded. “are you going to tell me your name?”

“kun.” he said too quickly, and kun blamed the alcohol for making him feel so flustered. no one had ever made him like this, it was embarrassing.

“kun,” she repeated, and the said man’s insides melted at how his name sounded on her tongue. “a foreigner. just my type.” his head shot up just in time to catch her holding her hand out for him to take. “i’m soojin.”

kun hesitated for a split second before shaking her hand, and when his fingers met the warm, soft skin of her hands, his heart sped up in his chest.

soojin must have felt it too because she didn’t let go of his hand for a moment too long. when she did, though, she suddenly reached into her back pocket and pulled out her phone.

"well, kun, would it be weird if i ask for your number? you know, in case i need a knight in shining armor?” her voice turned funny as she mimicked the drunk, but a too-big smile spread across kun’s face. “it only makes sense,” he joked back before typing his number into her phone.

he handed the device back to her, and the tips of soojin fingers grazed the flesh of his palm as he retrieved it. their eyes met. she did that on purpose.

shoving his hands into the pockets of his pants, kun cleared his throat and turned away. a soft, teasing smirk appeared on the girl’s lips as she spun on her heel and began walking back inside.

before the door shut behind her, kun reached out and held it still, his body hovering close against hers. he watched as her sparkling irises flicked between each of his eyes. when he was able to find his voice again, kun practically stammered out a quick, “text me?”

soojin’s lips curled and she tipped her head so that she could look at him through her lashes. “how else will you get your jacket back?”

My eyes didn’t stray from the Arrivals board, neck strained from tilting my head up and holding it there for so long. My hands were tight fists shoved in my pockets in order to restrain the whirl of emotions that seemed to be taking over with each passing second. There was excitement, definitely. And adrenaline pumping through my veins.

And fear, a trickle of fear down my spine like icy fingers whispering of the slight apprehension every time we were separated for so long.

It was a weird concept to be in a relationship where most of the time spent together was separated by computer screens, but that was what we had signed up for. It had been rough for both of us, but throughout those four long years, Jacob and I had made sure that we talked every day even if that meant losing an hour of sleep. The sacrifice proved itself worthy, when it was the only measure of love that would hold us together.

The pain came at intervals, especially when my mind was free to roam. Those were the moments I missed him the most, when I realized that I had left a piece of my heart with the said boy who had boarded the plane. Jacob came back to visit every summer for a month or so, but when internship applications started rolling, we had no other choice but be pulled apart by ambition and careers, while wishing each other the best.

Sometimes, the emptiness would consume me whole, a hole so big that I couldn’t help but fall into it until it was too late. It echoed with the aftermath of the pain, a reminder that the person I loved wasn’t physically present. And when I needed Jacob’s arms around me the most, when I needed the warmth of his body against mine and his comforting scent that reminded me that I could love myself because he loved me for who I was, that was the hardest part. Because all I could do was pick up my broken pieces and act like everything was fine even when I was slowly falling apart inside.

It felt like my heart was being pulled, heartstring by heartstring, until there was nothing left of me.

Even the happy memories made were tinged with a bitterness, finding myself wishing that he was here by my side whenever we were laughing together. My eyes would always find their way around the table and my mind would race to find his familiar eyes looking back at me as though we shared our own series of private jokes. But he wasn’t, he never was. And retelling him hurt a little too much that sometimes I found myself breaking down in my most vulnerable moments.

But all this, all this pain and the hurt and the sadness and the endless longing. All of these obstacles were for this to pull through. It all came down to this particular moment.

And as soon as I caught sight of that familiar tuft of dark hair and that dark navy bomber that I knew all too well, I knew that everything we had done was worth it.

“Jacob!” I waved my arms in a windmill fashion. It took a few tries, but when he noticed me, his eyes lit up and the most beautiful smile I had ever been witness to blossomed over his face.

I met him halfway as he pushed his luggage forward and didn’t even wait for his arms to be free before I launched myself at his chest, him laughing when he caught me just in time as his cart kept on rolling.

But at that moment, I didn’t care about anything. Burying my nose in Jacob’s chest and taking a whiff of that natural scent that felt like home, I squeezed my eyes shut.

And then I broke down crying.

“Hey,” I heard Jacob’s soft alto, so vivid and real, coarse and rough and with the slightest hint of honey that I could hardly hear through headphones, “it’s okay, I’m here now.”

I tried regaining my breath, but every shaky inhale was broken by another wave of emotion that rocked through my heart. Jacob’s hands were around me, soothing circles across my back and soft coarse voice coaxing me to calm down.

“You’re alright,” he murmured in my ear, grip tightening as my hands found their way around his middle, “I got you.”

“I missed you,” I couldn’t help but let out a little laugh, “I can’t believe you’re finally home.”

“Yeah, I’m home,” he echoed with eyes boring into mine with such tenderness that I felt like I could break underneath his gaze.

His hands cupped my cheeks then, softly brushing aside the tears and taking in all my features as though he was etching them into memory, reminding himself that I was indeed, here and in the flesh.

Then, he leaned over to press his lips against my forehead. Warmth blossomed over my heart, “I’m here,” he murmured, moving to press another kiss upon each eyelid, “I’m here now. It’s over.”

And then, just as softly as he did with the others, his mouth pressed upon mine in the sweetest, most delicate of touches. I couldn’t help the small whimper, and impulsively buried myself closer if that was even possible, wanting be as physically close to him as I could.

Nevermind that we were in the middle of the airport, strung together like long-lost lovers who had almost lost each other at sea. Nevermind that people were stopping and staring like we were one of the tourist attractions to welcome them. Nevermind if others thought that we were being too dramatic for our own good.

This was real. Jacob was here, and he was here to stay. We made it.

“I love you,” the words slipped out of my mouth when our foreheads touched, his breath washing over my face and causing my heart to skip a beat. “I love you too,” He whispered back hoarsely, a crack at the end of his alto. Our noses brushed each other’s, “a lot, a lot.” -------

I just felt inspired to write a Jacob AU. For all of in doing long distance relationships, don’t give up. You got this. I know how it feels and it’s no happy rainbow. But remember that if LDR’s work, they’re the most beautiful, pure kind of love that can ever exist, and that you’ll never take your partner for granted <3

He also had to prepare that the fans may go nuts that he had a girlfriend, and may even attack you in public let alone online.

When he reached the dorms, he walked into the living room. All the boys were awake and eating ramen around the tv.

“Hey! Look at who got lucky and stayed out ALL NIGHT!” yells Seung-hyun.

“Did you have FUN?” asks Daesung with a big smile.

“Did you use ALL the condoms I put in your pocket last night?” heckles Seungri.

Ji-yong just looks up at Young-Bae and tilts his head to the side. “Are you okay?” he asks quietly. “Why do you look so upset? Is something wrong?”

“Argghhhh” explodes Young-Bae. “I don’t know what is going through her head! She freaked out and kicked me out this morning when I said we need to keep the relationship a secret for now. Fuck! She wouldn’t even. listen to what I had to say! She said that she doesn’t ever want to see me again!”

The boys were all silent for a moment and looked at him with concern. Young-Bae had never been one to fuss over a girl and normally he just laughs everything off. The fact that he was so upset over one girl was shocking.

Ji-yong asked the question everyone was thinking “Do you really like her? Is it just a fling or is it something more?”

“Of course it is something more! I wanted to date her with the intention of marriage! You know how I feel about casual dating!” exclaims Young-Bae.

The boys understood all too well. Young-Bae was quite religious and the fact that he actually spent the night with a girl was a bit hard to believe. They knew that he was waiting for the one girl he could spend the rest of his life with, so the fact that he was so hung up on Honey meant that maybe she really was his soulmate.

“Well, didn’t she just come from Canada or the US? I think they are much more open with their relationships over there. I mean look at all the Hollywood stars. They can date, sleep or marry whoever they want, whenever they want. They don’t have the same restrictions as us. So maybe she doesn’t know or doesn’t understand?” asks Ji-yong.

Seungri pipes up “Yes that's true. I remember speaking to Kris at a party once and he said it is very strange here that some contracts state that idols can’t date. He's had some flings with girls in high school. High school!! And you can't believe the games they play at parties!! Something about spinning a bottle to kiss random people, and being locked in a closet to do whatever they want within a number of minutes. ..”

Seung-hyun looks seriously at Young-Bae and says “If you really think she is the one, you can’t give up. You need to go back and convince her somehow. Apologize to her and try to explain the way things are done here in Korea. It may take time and maybe you just have to take it slow until she believes you. You need to stay strong.”

Daesung just shakes his head and pats Young-Bae sympathetically on this shoulder. “Good luck.”

“Kamsamnida guys. I know what I need to do now.” Young-Bae heads to his room to think. He decides to write a love letter to show his feelings, get washed up, changed and go back to the hotel so that he could explain it all to you and make you understand.

* * * * * * *

Back at the hotel...

I had cried so much that my eyes were swollen. I wet a washcloth with cold water and place it over my eyes as I lay on the couch. I couldn’t believe that I believed him when he said the he wanted to have a long-term relationship. What kind of relationship was it if all we could do was sit in a hotel room. Hah! He just meant that we could just have sex! All men are jerks!

I thought resolutely to myself 'I’m a strong woman. I’ve put myself through school, and made the decision to move away from Canada to Korea. I was on an adventure on my own when I started so I will continue on this adventure as scheduled.' As I’ve always been an optimistic person, I managed to talk myself into looking at the brighter side of things.

So I decide to stop hiding in my hotel room and to go out and explore since the weather was so nice. I spent extra time putting on make-up, trying to hide my puffy eyes and lack of sleep, and decide to leave my waist-long hair down as it might help hide how tired I look. I get dressed, grab my over-sized Versace sunglasses and handbag and headed out.

As I walk through the hotel lobby, I walk past a group of guys in their twenties but after what happened last night, I didn’t want to do anything with the males species for awhile so I looked straight ahead and kept going. I had only taken about 5 steps out of the hotel when I was grabbed and hugged from behind, and I feel a head land on my shoulder and breathing in my ear.

Thinking it was Young-Bae trying to catch me, I exasperatedly say “Young...” but before I could finish speaking, I was cut off.

“Honey! My Honey bunny! You came to Korea to visit me? Why didn’t you let me know ahead of time? I would’ve picked you up from the airport!” scolded a familiar voice.

I turn my head to look and see my best guy friend’s smiling face on my shoulder. I laugh and kiss the tip of his nose. “It was a supposed to be a surprise! You sure know how to ruin all my plans!”

"I've missed you sooo much Honey bunny! Did you miss me?"

"Always! Every minute of every day!" I tease.

Kris hugs me tighter and lets go. He takes a step back, holds his right elbow with his left, and places his right hand on his cheek and looks at me with his head tilted. He nods and says “You are still the most beautiful girl I know and love. Do you love me?”

“Of course! I love you as you are my most precious Kris!” I laugh as I play around with him. It was like old times when our older cousins would gang up on us two and we would support each other emotionally.

“How much do you love me?” he asks.

“This much” I say as I hold my thumb and index finger about an inch apart.

“What?!” pouts Kris. “But I LOVE you THIS MUCH!” And he opens his arms way wide apart.

“Hmmm” I pretend to think, tapping my finger on my lip.

Kris makes a heart-shape with his hands and blinks at me cutely.

“Oh I guess I LOVE YOU THIS MUCH!!” I say with a laugh as I extend my arms as far as they could go.

“Come here and gimme my hug!” Kris exclaims as he picks me up in his arms and twirls in around and around. I laugh and tell him to put me down.

Once he stops, I have to hang onto to him as my head is spinning. “Kris, you’ve made me all dizzy!”

Kris bends down, puts one hand on either side of my face and looks at me. “I’m sorry sweetie. I was just too excited to see you. Are you okay? I better get you back inside.” He kisses my forehead, wraps an arm around my shoulder to direct me back into the hotel.

"I'm starving Kris. Can we go get something to eat?"

"Anything you want sweetie. What do you want to eat?" Kris says as we turn to walk down the street, with his arm still around my shoulder.

* * * * * * *

Young-bae:

In the meantime, Young-Bae had arrived and saw you leaving the hotel. He thought you looked so sweet yet sexy in your pink dress and was walking swiftly to talk to you when he saw a guy run out hug you from behind and lean on you.

Young-Bae was about to rush up to punch the guy for daring to touch you when he saw you turn and kiss the guy's nose. This stopped him in his tracks. Who was this guy?

He decides to wait until your conversation was done so he could talk privately without an audience. He takes a step over to stand behind a tree so that he wasn’t so visible. He hated spying but didn’t want to cause a scene as you were both out in public.

He heard your entire conversation about how you had come to Korea to surprise this jerk and how much you love each other. It was obvious that you knew each other well since you were both so affectionate and comfortable with each other.

Young-bae's fists clenched as he watched you two walk down the street with the guy's arm still around your shoulder. What was your relationship with him? Why were you two so intimate?

Young-Bae felt like his heart had been ripped out of his chest. He was so sure you felt the same way last night when you were together. You seemed to really like him,and were of the same mindset that you wanted to be together. Wasn't that why you were so upset this morning because you couldn't go public? Or was it just a ploy to make him seem like the bad guy so you had an excuse not to be with him? Was he just a boy toy to be played with until you could be with your real boyfriend?

Young-Bae wanted to punch something or someone so badly. He was angry and sad and couldn't stop shaking. At least he had enough control not to go after you and the guy -- at least not right now. He hails a cab and leaves before he could change his mind.

Visiting Henry when he’s away filming includes:

-You being so excited throughout the whole plane ride as your miss your bae and can’t wait to see and feel him close again

-You letting out loud squeals when you arrive on the set after hours of fidgeting excitedly in your plane seat

-“I missed you so much” you whimper while he traces kisses up and down your neck while getting rid of his clothes

-Him being deep inside you a minute later, thrusting his hips steadily while kissing your lips hungrily

-The pleasure making you forget about everything happening around you, soft moans leaving your lips while you’re holding onto Henry’s shoulders for dear life

-The two of you reaching your highs at the same time a few minutes later, the delicate ecstasy leaving your bodies slightly trembling while you slip back into your clothes

-Henry’s assistant knocking on the door a few seconds later, telling Henry that it’s time to change his outfit and hair

speak now// p1; first meeting

here’s the start of what i’ve been working on, idk if this’ll be the title but lets see how it goes! whenever this goes onto ao3 it may be different, but this what ive got for now :)

joohyun stretches up, feeling the joints in her back crack. her mother always insisted she would regret making her joints pop and that it sounded gross, but it was a habit she could never break.

“unnie,” she heard a sweet voice from behind her call. she turned around and locked eyes with seulgi, the adorable younger girl she had grown close to over her time as a trainee. irene’s personality was naturally very quiet and she had a hard time being open and putting herself out there to make acquaintances. she didn’t really think it was a bad thing. she was very happy with herself and sitting alone with her thoughts, if she was being honest.

having said all that though, as she looked into the girls eyes who were always sparkly with mirth, she finds herself silently thankful that the younger girl persisted her friendship.

“whats up bear?” she asks, and seulgis eyes grow smaller as her smile gets bigger.

“i like that name,” she says, taking a seat next to joohyun in the cafe of their company.

“was there something you were gonna say seulgi-ah?” jooyun asks, remembering the questioning tone in seulgis voice.

“oh yeah! there’s a new trainee being added to our practice group, her name is seungwan if i remember correctly, shes only a few days younger than me,” seulgi says excitedly, squinting her eyes to look at the menu above the cashier not far from them. joohyun thinks for a moment how she knows the cafe menu inside and out because of how much time she spends there, time seulgi probably spends getting to know people.

“ah that will be nice, maybe you’ll have someone you can relate to better,” she teases, and seulgi rolls her eyes with a giggle.

“don’t be silly unnie, i love that you’re older than me, who else would i go to with all my problems,” she asks, and joohyun smiles warmly at her younger. they stand up together to head to the cashier, talking about what they’re going to order. as seulgi chats somewhat to herself about what shes going to order, joohyun notices the girl in front of her in line whom she doesn’t recognize. the cashier asks her what she want, and she watches the small girl hesitate for a moment as she reads the menu.

“um yes! could i have the, the um, s-sik,” the girl struggled to pronounce the word, and joohyuns curiosity was peeked. she decides to speak up.

“pardon, do you mean a sikhye?” she asks, gently tapping the girls shoulder. the girl spins to look at her, and joohyun instantly feels a weird feeling run through her chest once she faces the girl.

“yes! one of those please, thank you,” the girl says to the cashier, who punches it into the register and accepts her cash. the girl then turns to them, and seulgi was pulled out of her thoughts at the young girl in front of them who was struggling to order a simple drink.

“hello! my name is son seungwan, i probably seem pretty dense,” she laughs, “i haven’t been in korea since i was pretty young, so the language hasn’t come back to me that fully yet,” she says, bowing with her introduction.

“ah yes! i heard you were from canada, right? i’m kang seulgi, its so nice to meet you,” seulgi instantly starts chatting. joohyun had been just a little distracted, taking in the arguably very attractive young girl in front of her, and she realizes she had been a little too quiet.

“im bae joohyun, its very nice to meet you seungwan. don’t worry about being choppy with the language, i’m sure it will come back to you before you know it, and we are happy to help you in any way, cause that’s what elder do. well, seulgi isn’t your elder but i am. i only know cause seulgi said you guys were the same age...” joohyun trialed off, finding herself...rambling? bae joohyun does not ramble. hell, bae joohyun barely talks as it is.

seulgi eyes her, picking up on her weird behavior but not saying anything.

seungwan does nothing but give her a blinding smiling, “well thank you! i think i like you two, we’ll be nice friends,” she smiles, before turning around to take the drink from the cashier.

“say seungwan, whats your room number? do you know who you’re rooming with?” seulgi asks, before smiling at the cashier and ordering for her and joohyun, ignoring joohyuns pout.

“my room is 4C, and my roommates, if i remember correctly, are these two girls park sooyoung and kim yerim?” she asks, with a question in her tone as if shes not sure. seulgi laughs, and joohyun smiles at seungwans sweetly innocent confused face.

“if you are remembering correctly, you’re in for it,” seulgi jokes with that smile of hers, and joohyun idly nods her head next to her in agreement. at seungwans eyes widening to a somewhat funny size, joohyun jumps in.

“don’t worry, they’re sweet girls, just very into causing trouble. especially that little rascal kim yerim,” she explains for her, and watches as her facial expression relaxes back into a normal one.

“i’m lucky to room with unnie here, she was in a room by herself until i asked to be moved from mine to hers,” seulgi explains, and joohyun feels the need to elbow the younger.

“oh wow, how did you manage to have a room by yourself?” seungwan asks, turning to joohyun.

if joohyun was just a bit further behind seulgi, she could pinch her back without seungwan seeing.

“oh, most people are afraid of unnie, doesn’t this face just scream ‘don’t approach me’?” seulgi, dramatically gesturing to joohyuns face. joohyun doesn’t care anymore, she pinches seulgi anyways. seungwan seems to take the question seriously, her brown eyes suddenly trained on joohyun for a bit as seulgi whines at the pinch. joohyun is use to people staring at her, but something about the gaze had her looking at the suddenly very interesting stain on the floor, suppressing the need to squirm.

“well maybe shes a little intimidating looking,” seungwan starts, and joohyun finds herself suddenly needing to be anywhere but here, “but only because she looks, well, like a goddess. but i’ve personally found her very sweet, i can see why you’d want to room with her seulgi,” seungwan finishes.

joohyun is frozen for a moment. shes very use to people saying such things about her, but again, it just makes her cheeks flare red. also, it was a little odd that seungwan was answering as if joohyun wasn’t standing there, but seungwan did seem a little odd. joohyun didn’t seem to mind though.

“that’s what i’m saying,” seulgi agrees, and the two girls smile at each other. offhandedly, joohyun thinks about how shes happy seulgi found someone that could be a little more her speed. of course seulgi would always be, and she imagined she would always be her, best friend, but the connection the two balls of sunshine had made joohyun tilt her head and smile.

“i should probably be heading off, i still have to unpack and meet with some people to finish setting up my schedule for the next few months. i’m very happy to meet you girls, maybe i will see you around soon?” seungwan asks hopfully, taking a sip of her drink she as she locks eyes with joohyun.

thankfully, for joohyun’s sake, seulgi is a quick talker.

“not maybe, definitely. we’ll be seeing you in our practice group, so we’ll actually see you everyday at the start of next week. but thats just for practice, we’d love to hang out with you outside of that,” seulgi says, already pulling out her phone to exchange numbers with seungwan. seungwan happily types her number in, and tells seulgi to text her.

“you too joohyun-ssi,” seungwan says with that soft, pretty smile.

joohyun nods, “i will. i hope your unpacking and planning goes great,” joohyun says. seungwan thanks her shyly and smiles, bowing to the two one last time. the cashier grabs their attention to hand them their drinks, and seulgi looks curiously at her unnie.

“you hope her planning goes great?” she questions, and joohyun can hear a tone in her voice that sound awfully similar to the two girls seungwan is rooming with. she smacks seulgi’s arm, which only makes the younger laugh.

looking over her shoulder as she goes to sit with seulgi again at a table, she sees seungwan pressing the button for an elevator. she’d med a lot of people since coming into this business, but something about the girl she just met already felt like it had changed something, in some way.
