Ok bear with me since this is very random lol but after the last comic about greygold and the tadpoles I started wondering what they would look like as a mind flayer 😂😅 Would they be a particularly big one since they’re a half orc? Or would they be tiny like the one we can become in the game 🤔 (ngl the canon form of illithid tav kinda makes me want to put a helmet on them, they look squishy) But yeah, ahem. I’m like empy, I think I need to sleep more lol-

Is good question though (BECAUSE I NEVER THOUGHT ABOUT IT EITHER HA):

TRUTHFULLY-I would love to have reinvented Greygold into their own unique illithid variant. Buuuuuut-that would involve more thinking, so is okay, game design fits well enough for the situation.

And even though I tried sticking to the default as much as possible……I can't will myself to draw them as a twig. So tiny, need to tie pillows to them. I compromise, no longer half-orc tall but not snap-a-twig-in-half skin and bones. I give them meat bits. Maybe not squid beef, but squid…kabob.

Anyway, I'm sure there's a magic mirror for squids somewhere as well if Greyg ever gets tired of looking tiny-HA,no wait, they inherently ARE magic mirrors now.... Greygold will figure themselves out, is cool.
