#random personal stuff#I'm in the middle of trying to sort out insurance stuff surrounding therapy#and was looking over a claim#and found out something that hasn't come up in conversation#there's a diagnosis#it's GAD#not really surprising I guess but kind of a relief?#to be able to put a name on the nonsense and know that it's not just me being 'dramatic' because I'm horrible or something?#and it's not a label it's not something I want to identify myself as#but just something I'm having to deal with like the crickets that keep coming into my house#can't stop them#can't totally prevent every cricket ever they're going to be here#but I can deal with them one by one as they come up#and hopefully learn from each how better to handle the crickets#or something like that#anyway I'd say it's a safe bet that GAD is pretty prevalent in my family (like my mom) though it generally seems to go unrecognized#so no wonder#but I guess it's been difficult to see that *I* could have a reason for The Nonsense besides Just Inherently Bad (At Life)#good to know now let's deal with it
