Writing my fic has given me even more headcanons about Natsu as a father than you'd think. For instance, regardless of that (honestly not OOC) moment from 100YQ where Natsu got all protective dad over Edo Nasha:

I genuinely, realistically don't think he'd continue to be this way as his kid(s) got older, particularly after Lucy finally told him about almost being sold into a marriage by her father. To this dude, who we "got" to see only in the manga:

At that point, he'd do the intuitive, heart-first Natsu thing where part of him realizes something's not right with putting your possessiveness of your kids over their happiness, grimace and grumble a bit, then buckle down with the resolve to be a better dad than Lucy's was.
