#ok but this actually made my appreciation for mr walker go up if only because karli dropped XD#she's still cool and i'm glad they're not presenting her as a complete evil person but eeehhhhhhhhh#meanwhile i'm thinking about how steve would've reacted if bucky was killed in front of him and the people to bla#me were right there#didn't he START going on missions at all because his friend was missing and possibly dead but if he wasn't he wanted him back?#he either has himself or HYDRA to blame for Bucky's fall from the train and makes it his job to personally (try and) eradicate HYDRA#it's not like Walker was seeing the other side of the argument like Sam was besides#flagsmashers hurt his friend and there one of them was#the guy was definitely halfway down the deep-end before he got hold of the serum though so the violence isn't unexpected#kinda rude to pick up a national legacy symbol after doing something like that with it and I'm thinking that's where the difference might be#Steve would put aside the shield if he did something atrocious for himself? I think? he's given it up before he and toes the line but stops#I don't think mr walker there is going to have that point where he stops#he was rightfully angry yes but taking it out like that was not it chief#it's the mix of not finding honour in fighting in Afghanistan for the army and thinking he'll get satisfied working for the same gov for me#like......dude you want to change the world and be seen as a good man and all but to get there you've got to work on it#you don't assume you're starting at the bottom and working your way up if you can't find it in yourself to consider differing opinions#he was impatient and trying too hard to prove himself while thinking he was already at the top and then got proof saying he wasn't worthy#he doesn't consider he's in the wrong and reacts terribly to being upstaged or having his ideas put aside#classic White Guy (TM) move#i do be loving the characterizations in this show man#so much to pick up on#Sam being fallible while also embodying a literal angel with the patience and humility he's got while also calling people out is great#the dora milaje were on-screen for maybe five minutes and john walker couldn't think about them bitterly enough to combat my heart eyes#Zemo of all people has become a favourite#the entire show is just *chef's kiss*#tfatws#tfatws spoilers#the sambucky show#amazing cinematography and the way scenes carry emotion is >>>>>>>>#can't believe this is the same brand that released endgame into the wild
