And that's the reason he's dragged himself out of his usual social circles to wait at the table of a cozy coffee shop in Golden, sipping at his drink while looking around for the woman to show up.

She still manages to surprise him by coming from behind and sliding into the seat across from him, jolting Wang Yi into sitting up straight as he fumbles to put his phone away.

The name rolls easily off his tongue, but its sound rings foreign in his ears.
