Baxter DLC came out today and it makes me emotional because I know once I’ll finish it (I’m currently playing already XD), it'll be officially the end of Our Life Beginning & Always :’)
And I just want to thank @gb-patch once again for this amazing game. When I first played it in 2020, it was a revelation for me, I knew that I found my special game <3
It has been a comfort game since then and even after 80h of playing, I still enjoy the smoothness and the feel-good vibe of it~
For the people who don’t know it yet, if you enjoy visual novels, I really recommend you to check this one, it'll definitely give you the smile and some peace of mind for a moment :) and who knows maybe it'll become your special one as well <3
You can also read my previous review I did back then for more infos if you want :) I was very talkative about it at that time bcs of the excitement haha
That being said, I will of course wait for OL2 (already played the demo so many times already lol) and I'm already certain it'll be another crush games of mine <3
#our life beginnings & always#our life : beginnings & always#our life#can't believe I played 80+ hours though lol#and I had to start a new game for Baxter one xDDD so yeah...I'll pass the 100 hours someday for sure lol#but ITS WORTH IT#personal#Lola plays games

Are you READY for WEIRD ASKS: 1, 5 (drink some water); 6 (yourself or what aesthetic you like to see!); 16; 20; 21 🥰; 29; 32; 42; 52; 58; 62 (!!!); 68; 90; 92.
In reference to this post...
Sorry it took me so long... I know I'm a hypocrite.
1. Sodey cans... I love drinking a nice crisp LaCroix from a can :)
5. Plastic cups! Feels nostalgic and homey.
6. I love sportswear! I'm a sucker for a crisp pair of sneakers paired with a nice hoodie and a pair of shorts or leggings. But I'll also take any excuse I can get to wear formal or business casual clothing. I like to see them all though! I take fashion inspiration from everywhere :)
16. Comfortable sitting? With this neck pain..? Never heard of her. I guess some of the chairs at Office Depot were pretty comfy though. I sit criss-cross applesauce at work a lot.
20. Laptop! The clacking of my keyboard is so satisfying. I definitely like to break out the notebook and write by hand sometimes, but usually when it's to a friend or someone I love.
21. So many... Ocarina of Time, Link, becoming Link, dogs, drawing dogs, drawing Link... stationary...
29. Historically, I think sitting in a parked car for a few hours in the dark has been the way to do it! Nowadays I would say just taking a long drive with music, cooking with me, or drinking with me.
32. In no particular order...
- "Wait, oh yeah, wait a minute Mr. Postman... *Lon Lon Ranch theme*"
- CalebCity's Vine where he's playing the guitar like with mouth sounds like... "Nao nao nao nao nao, nao nao nao nao nao, ee-yea-us"
- "When there's too much drama at school... all you gotta do is... walk a-way-yay-yay"
- "We all die, you either kill yourself or get killed. Whatcha gon' do?"
- "Ah fuck... I can't believe you've done this"
42. Jacket pockets! They are like my safety blanket for where to put my hands when I'm just standing there in public. What else am I supposed to do with them..?
52. Sans... comic sans 😎 too predictable.
58.
1. Being able to play an instrument well. It's taken me so far in life, both figuratively and physically (across the entire country) and introduced me to all my best friends.
2. Being able to program? It's less of a talent and more of just... doing it all the time because it's my job. :)
3. Friendship? Is that a talent? I've been able to keep some really great friends around for a long time and I'm proud of that.
4. Uhh... I think I'd be decent at trivia revolving around the music of the 80s. I can sometimes pick out synthesizers and influences in 80s records.
62.
1. Peppermint Patty from the Peanuts comic. Kind of dumb, always falling asleep in class. I was kind of tomboyish when I was younger.
2. Izuku Midoriya from the My Hero Academia series. I can be kind of timid and reserved like him in the right environment. I'm also a very emotional person and sometimes invest a great deal of emotion and concern into other people, sometimes to my demise lol. I also tend to hyperfixate on the things I am passionate about.
3. Shouto Todoroki from the My Hero Academia series... because we both have daddy issues and strive to prove them wrong and make them look like the complete fucking idiots they are. I'm a little tipsy.
I cannot think of four more. I am so sorry.
68. I once had a little Vegemite on a spoon. Tasted like battery acid. Sorry Aussies :(
90. I honestly can't think of a lucky mistake I've had in my life... I think most things have either been intentional or calculated risks. Sorry to disappoint!
92. Nothing beats natural lighting from the sun, but fairy lights will suffice and look beautiful in the dark. :)

It's past 3 am and I can't get back to sleep so here are my final(?) thoughts on the show:
He played literally all of his Lovin' Spoonful hits (Do You Believe in Magic, You Didn't Have to be So Nice, Did You Ever Have to Make Up Your Mind, Summer in the City, Younger Girl, Daydream, Darling Be Home Soon, Nashville Cats) plus Welcome Back (and a few assorted blues songs that I didn't recognize but still enjoyed immensely)
This is my third concert ever, first two were for a Depeche Mode tribute band before I became interested in Depeche Mode (they were actually the reason I got into them to begin with) and the second was for the band Tennis that I saw with my boyfriend and his family, but this was the first show I went to that I was already a huge fan of the artist beforehand and I was so excited and nervous for how it would turn out that I couldn't stop shaking
Yes I cried profusely literally as soon as the first chords of a song I knew would start up, I must have squeezed my boyfriend's hand so hard during the songs too
My boyfriend seemed to really enjoy the show as well, he didn't know the music other than what I'd played for him (and Do You Believe in Magic because he is also a tf2 fan LOL) but he was tapping along to the music a lot
I attempted to mouth/sing along to the songs I knew (I knew all the words to most of his hit songs I just say attempted because I was too choked up to get much of a sound out) and there were parts where he'd encourage the audience to sing along and it was a rapturous experience singing along with a crowd of fellow fans
Speaking of the audience, me and my boyfriend were the youngest there by far (everyone else was probably 50-70) and it was a full house which made me really happy
He was playing with a guy called Jimmy Vivino, a (slightly) younger man who really could belt out the blues, I was really impressed by him even though I came to see John
Speaking of John, his voice has changed a lot since his younger days (I mean he is literally 80) but, to quote Nashville Cats, his harmonica and guitar playing really blasted me sky high (guy can PLAY)
Ok yeah I shouted "I love you John!!" after his harmonica encore when everyone gave him a standing ovation, sue me ok I love the old man so much he really has a hold on me
I tried to catch up with him after the show to get a photo together or maybe just shake his hand and thank him for the show but there was a surprising amount of people doing the same and he seemed tired so I let him leave, I'll probably write him an email again later thanking him for a truly wonderful performance BUT OH MY GOD I GOT WITHIN A FOOT OF HIM I was trying not to burst into tears again so bad
My boyfriend drove eight hours one way for me to see him (to my boyfriend E I love you so much) and I'd literally travel the world to see him perform again
He seems like a really genuine and kind fellow (I don't care what anyone else says he's also still so handsome aaaaa)
I understand groupies now (someone give me a time machine to 1965 so I can see the actual Lovin' Spoonful in concert during their heyday pretty pretty please)
Anyway thank you John (and Jimmy Vivino) for a lovely evening, I still can't stop crying as I write this because he has truly made magic spring up in this young girl's/daydreaming boy's heart and I will never ever forget this for as long as I live <3
Me and my boyfriend are driving out to see John Sebastian perform, I'm nervous for how it's gonna go but I'm also so so excited!!!!!! Oughhhhhh he means so much to me I can't believe I will soon get to see him in person :D <3
