Okay, but the fact that Kate Siegel admitted that Camille from FotHoU is entirely based on Mirage from The Incredibles is so funny and relatable to me. She said Mirage was like Jessica Rabbit to her. I just wanna know what the conversation was like with Mike when she was convincing him of this. Can’t unsee it now. A true bi icon.

Indie canon-divergent Camille L'Espanaye from Netflix's The Fall of the House of Usher. Selective. Plot-heavy. Multi-para & novella. Must be 21+ to interact.
Being an Usher isn't easy. Being a bastard Usher? Worse. Roderick Usher may have provided the funding and attempted some semblance of welcoming into the family, but Camille's success is really all her own. A woman must stand on a pedestal thrice as tall as Roderick's if she is to be taken seriously in this family. But be careful... or you might fall.
An interview concerning: Webs of lies, crafted imagery, rejecting the nepotism you benefit from, building glass houses and hoarding stones to toss, the idea that failure is not an option, pulling strings in the background, the quiet mastermind, loathing mediocrity, and practicality beyond death.
Content warning: Horror and mature themes will be present. This blog does not shy away from exploring themes of death, violence, alcohol and drug use, trauma, and other topics which may be upsetting to some readers. No triggers will be tagged. Reader discretion is advised.

About Camille
[ Under construction. ]
Note on exclusivity
This blog is heavily affiliated with @maggoths and @madusher. Since this version of Camille was crafted specifically to fit into their particular House of Usher verse, I will not be writing with multiples of the Usher family members. Non-Usher original characters and characters from other canons are welcome, however. If unsure, just ask! I don't bite.
Note on canon divergence

Guidelines
Basic stuff: be kind, be respectful. Mun ≠ muse, just because a muse does something questionable or even awful doesn't mean I as the writer endorse it.
I enjoy writing longer replies but I generally will match your length and don't mind so long as there's something to reply to. I enjoy using gifs, not static icons, but I can also do text-only replies.
I will be selective in regards to shipping and extremely selective about writing sex scenes. I do not generally ship exclusively.
I enjoy writing out interactions between characters organically, so I'd rather not assume pre-existing connections unless we've discussed it prior.
Saying this again because it's important: I won't be tagging triggers, it'd be too much to keep track of. I will however gladly discuss with you if there's topics you want to avoid/skirt over in our threads. Just let me know and I'll keep it in mind.
If you're using unreadable font in your info pages or blog, I won't bother. I'm here to read and write, not to increase my glasses prescription.
I archive my blog using the Internet Archive's Wayback Machine. If you don't want your content archived, do not interact.
I account-hop often. If you can't reach me at @hackshaw-d, message me at @acidcorrodes. Additionally, I prioritize replies to my 1x1 roleplay at @nyantry. You're welcome to read, but I'm highly selective with interactions there.
