The thing about his personality is that he's not mean or disrespectful or thinks himself better than anyone. He's pretty down-to-earth and rational most times. Hell, the reason we're in this mess to begin with is because he saw a good person and didn't want him to die. He doesn't think himself a lone wolf or does any sort of dramatic "i'm going to do it on my own". He's always worried for his teammates' safety at all times but not too overbearing where he thinks they can't handle themselves, so i'm really confused on why people dislike his "cold, distant act" even though it's very clear he's distant due to his upbringing and his friends even help him out of his shell. He's just chill most of the time lmao

As for the Potential Man (augh) jokes i feel it's kind of meta irony. Kids are always told they need to reach their "potential" and that if they haven't done so yet then they're not trying hard enough. I kinda relate to it on a personal level cause I was also told i had so much "potential" to be great and i feel it's wasted on me, and this is a common occurence between gifted kids in general: burn out. That's also symbolic of what Megumi is experiencing right now in the abyss: he's been told he could become great so many times that he lost the drive to even do good at this point. So for people to keep making jokes about it feels like the point went right over their head (or maybe im reading too much into it) but for Megumi he COULD've become great. Hell, he already was reaching that point as we've seen in his Culling Games Arc, but unfortunately it was cut short by Sukuna taking over his body. How the hell is that his fault? He didn't even take it lying down or anything, he still fought tooth and nail anf saved Yuuji and Maki until the bath, when Sukuna FORCED him to give up. But sure the 15 year old should've just brought a towel and dried himself off or something lmao

Also, you are 100% right about the Shibuya thing. idk why it's an unpopular opinion considering Sukuna literally says "I'll kill every human in Shibuya." So he was gonna do it regardless. Hell, Megumu even unintentionally saved 60 meters worth of Shibuya because Sukuna reduced the radius for Megumi, which also happens to be where the main cast was. (Maki, Nanami, Nobara, Kusukabe, Panda, ETC.)

Anyways I really hope gege gives Megumi a W for once 😞🙏

Some characters I feel like are impossible to genuinely hate unless you just have no heart.
