I'm pulling all my files off an old computer and it's surprising how bad at parallel file movement an X58* board is. Moving big files between two drives slows to a stop if I'm also moving files between two other drives. I get why data centers have moved to SSDs and ZFS caching because NTFS and spinning platters feel like using tape drives now.
