Sharing my NMC Duchess, Lanisera.

Lani was a Seconborn Sylvari who greatly admired Faolain. She followed Faolain into forming the Nightmare Court and became one of Faolain's Duchesses.

Lani acted as a Mentor of the Grove, scouting out potential Sylvari for the Court. She was more in favor of persuading Sylvari into the Court rather than forcing them, and she was very successful at her job. However, over time the Court was slowly spiraling out of Faolain's control (esp when it split off into the Toxic Alliance) and Lani did all she could to keep loyal Courtiers under Faolain's rule.

Eventually, Faolain wanted to head for the jungle and Lani (along with the rest of the loyalists) followed her Grand Duchess. They were ambushed and caught by the Mordrem. Lani managed to escape and tried to rally what was left of the Court to try and rescue Faolain. Unfortunately Faolain would fall to Mordremoth, much to Lani's dismay. It'd be around this time when she'd meet with a fellow Duchess, Chrysanthea and the two would work with the Pact to help fight against Mordremoth.

After the events of HoT, Lani and Chrysanthea became co-Duchesses (they were girlfriends!) to reform and recover what was left of the Nightmare Court, and lead the Court on a new path.
