A remake of the original film was in the works but went into dormancy in 2020 due to COVID. The remake was planned to have Taron Egerton as Seymour, Chris Evans as Orin (the dentist), Scarlett Johansson as Audrey, and Billy Porter as Audrey II.

The inspiration for the story came from H.G Wells short story The Flowering of the Strange Orchid , written in 1894, which was about a human-hungry plant. Roughly 40 years later, John Collier wrote Green Thoughts, a dark-comedy based off of Wells' work. Then, in 1956, Arthur C. Clarke wrote The Reluctant Orchid, which explored the more ominous side of the plant's intentions. The culmination of these works resulted in Charles B. Griffith's idea for The Little Shop of Horrors, which would be adapted by Howard Ashman and Alan Menken in 1982 into the musical.

The musical is frequently credited the first horror-comedy in the musical theatre scene.

Ashman and Menken also composed the music and lyrics for Disney's The Little Mermaid, Beauty and the Beast, and Aladdin.

The story is a satirical take on the common Faust Legend- the story of a man selling his soul to the devil. This trope is common for stories of greed and consequence.

The show is credited as the having been the 3rd longest running musical and highest grossing in off-Broadway production records.

Despite technically premiering on Broadway after running off-Broadway prior to 2003, the Tony awards determined the musical was eligible for the "Best Musical Revival" category despite never having been on Broadway previously.

Alioth was born around the same day as Beelby but while Beelby got used to Hell, Alioth was raised a little spoiled and praised by his people... his mother an Alien godess he mainly lived with her in her palace while his dad was always on a mission but came back once in a while to teach him magic and much more... He was loved by many but always curious about the planets and especially that one with many species on it that always danced and had this joy of life.. even if that world had hurt... he wanted to see it closer... Eventually he was said to be crowned as the crown prince of the Celestial realm however... many didn't approve of hits naive brat taking the throne and so they used his curiousity by letting a swan princess curse his crown... since then he could never take it off yet was never worthy to get the throne... His mother still loved him so she granted at least his wish and let him travel the world...

Nowadays he arrived at HSA for two seperate reasons... one to learn as many dances as possible and find foot in the business... and secondly for revenge...Beelby, who was a student at his school he met Millenias ago... the Origin demon broke into the celestial realm in secret and stole one of his fathers horn disgracing the family even more than they already were... so he also came here to meet him again and either take that horn back or take something as precious to him.

Alioth seems friendly, approachable and Cheerfull but that is not really all he is... can be very serious and duty focused thanks to his status but also at times a little full of himself... he has quite the confidence in himself and his talents as well when it comes to talking to people like Beelby he likes to do it the passive aggresive way. He cherishes every bond he gets...

As he arrived in this world he was said to be a candidated to be arranged Marriage to Miss Gabrielle Ravenor but after fighting her he gave up on his home... he could have defeated her with ease but didn't cause he wanted her to be free and slowly realized Men fascinate him far more so he wouldn't be happy in a relationship with her. Since then they are close friends... as well as he helped many dragons in her kingdom with sicknesses as well as learned smithing from her. He also has rumors surrounding him that spending time with him causes good dreams.

May be a bit forward about approaching someone he has fallen for but he does try his best to not be forcefull.

Another pitch for a live-action “Resident Evil” movie:

1) STORY

In Raccoon City, South Dakota, two teams of S.T.A.R.S. units (basically SWAT teams) are dispatched to the long-abandoned Spencer Mansion in the Arklay Mountains. A group of federal prisoners who were being transported to another facility have gotten free. The prisoners managed to take refuge inside the mansion and are holding the transport crew as their hostages.

The night takes a dark, bizarre turn when both the prisoners and the STARS officers realize that there’s something else in the woods and inside the mansion. Something…unnatural. When both sides are attacked by monsters, the survivors are forced to work together in order to escape with their lives.

2) ADDITIONAL PLOT DETAILS

a) one of the escaped inmates is Billy Coen, who is the only one of his group to survive the movie

b) a major source of tension in the movie is the STARS officers and the inmates needing to put aside their differences and work as a team. This is also to heighten the shock to non-Resident Evil viewers that STARS commander Albert Wesker is a traitor since the audience will keep expecting the prisoners to betray the team.

c) Brad Vickers is rewritten to be one of the transport crew that the prisoners took hostage. His storyline is also changed in which he has to be kept alive since he’s the only one who knows how to use a helicopter, which is important since the group finds an abandoned one while exploring the facility.

d) The story is only loosely based on RE0 and RE1. Just to get an idea of what is kept in the main story, some of the main story beats are that Rebecca Chambers is the first STARS officer to recognize that Billy Coen is a good guy, Barry Burton is being manipulated by Wesker, Jill and Chris are the protagonists, everything culminates in a showdown with the Tyrant, and the movie ends with Brad flying all the survivors away from the area.

e) for those who played House of Ashes, think of Rebecca and Billy’s relationship as being similar to Jason and Salim.

f) while I can’t give an exact body count, I’d imagine that all the STARS officers, escaped prisoners, and transport crew characters not named Chris, Jill, Barry, Rebecca, Billy, and Brad end up dying. Albert Wesker is also “killed”, but we all know he survived off-screen.

g) due to how the story unfolds, Billy Coen is also flown to safety by Brad at the end, which ends up playing a role in how the sequel starts

Weekly Update

 Hi there~! been a bit since i’ve posted since i’ve been working on projects in the background.  If you want an update for how said things are going

-Warlock reborn: A good amount of progress has been made related to it, so I should be able to release the document for playtest in the coming days, when it does I encourage ya’ll to try and go wild with it, see whatever rules minutia I might’ve missed along the way and all that jazz

-New classes: I mentioned previous having a cursed (Now called the Therinthrope) class in the works, though I also have two other classes I want to potentially get out there. Those being: The Mentor: A wisdom-based martial class that uses its fighting knowledge and instills leassons into its allies, or in other words. It’s uncle iroh, the class. Not much progress has been made but its something I might get to eventually.

The Shopkeeper: A charisma based utility class that focuses on supplying its teams with items and buffs, it initially started as a take on The Merchant class by one Taron “Indestructoboy” Pounds that was more of a martial than a half caster. But with some time + better knowledge of the 5e system, I think I can make a more distinct class that, while having some of the same ideas, still feels very distinct from his. So far I’m tinkering around with the shopkeeper having exclusive items it can pull from its emporium, and also having it use charges from magic items to support its team. I’m honestly very excited to get a finished version

-An adventure? this is more of a recent idea, but i’ve thought of publishing a short adventure for the spooky season (October) Right now i’m just in the planning side of things but right now the adventure is planned to involve the party investigating the disappearances in a town over seven-days, leading up to their annual harvest celebration. Unaware that they’re wrapping themselves in the clutches of a terrible monster, I won’t tell much about it. But I c an tell you that I plan for it to be a nice 5-7th level adventure you can run as either a one shot, or stick into your ongoing game for some halloween fun. More information about the project will be coming shortly.
