Ang’dra hisses, then laughs. The falter in her hips is too slight to gain any advantage. She buries her fingers deeper, but Ang’dra fucks into her like it’s nothing.

“Now sweet pea, you don’t have to go through all this to fuck me,” she growls, and Chena’stra desperately sinks her nails in, “What if I got you a strap to open the wound proper? Would that make you feel in control?”

coming out of my well (the tags) to talk about them

so. their backstories. chena'stra frival was prized in her house for her talent of spreading rumors and running smear campaigns against rival houses, until one day she got too cocky and decided "you know what? i can do better than all of you" and tried to direct the influx of power to herself by backstabbing her family. which backfired. badly. which left her to scraping by as an assassin for hire and developing an alcohol addiction. so shes doing great!

ang'dra'ice's house was weakened by chen's smears, which was the catalyst to their demise, she's the only survivor and also! she lost an eye during the whole thing. so when she found chen, in a seedy bar looking like a wet cat she was like. you. i can make you worse.

they regrettably hook up. and eventually move in together. in like, the shittiest little apartment in the underdark. and theyre awful to each other. like chen hates ang because shes a reminder of how far shes fallen, and shes So Angry she finds this gross woman hot. ang'dra hates chen for what she did, as well as just Everything about her.

and heres the thing, they're stuck with each other at this point bc chen turned any of ang's friends against her, and ang'dra has just made her even more of a bitter insufferable person. they were made for each other (derogatory)!

they frequently chase each other around the house with knives. chen's stabbed her once or twice. they've started bar fights against each other. the only reason they're not both dead yet is because nobody else will have them.

you know how i mentioned ang'dras missing an eye? chen coincidentally has a very pretty ring, shaped like an eye, with a garnet thats not unlike ang'dras own eye color. because i had to have the symbolism in there of her cupping her girlfriend's cheek, with the ring in view next to the missing eye.

@hyenagirlbulge and i also made drow ocs that despise each other, i can confirm its very fun. even more fun to look at them and say "you know what? you're both awful you guys deserve to be together" thus chena'stra and ang'dra'ice were born

also you can't say that and then NOT give me further details and lore. how bad to they hate each other. how many times have they tried to kill each other.

Chen has standard earlobe piercings and Ang'dra has an eyebrow piercing, getting any more wouldn't be a wise choice since theyve most likely ripped out each other's jewelry before

💘 HEART WITH ARROW — what and/or who do(es) your oc consider the most important to them?

Chena'stra considers her honor to be most important. she's convinced she can finish Ang'dra off, go back home and wave it in House Frival's face that she saved their asses from being accused of failing to take down a House and also she's this super deadly assassin now so she should be reclaimed.

hm. i dont know if Ang'dra holds anything that dear to her, apart from Chen's suffering. im gonna say Chen is the most important person to her, because she's dedicated to her suffering and to her it's better revenge to keep her alive and miserable. crab in a bucket woman

😞 DISAPPOINTED FACE — does your oc attract others, or do they tend to be left alone?

Chen used to be very charming and she's had a good amount of mean girl cliques in the past, but her habit of dragging everyone into her relationship drama (that always turns violent and has collateral) pushed everyone away so now she's a loner

Ang'dra usually wants to be left alone, unless there's someone she can sleep with to piss Chen off

✨- How did you come up with the OC’s name?

i found a drow name generator w/ meanings for each part and mashed stuff together until i had a meaning i liked

as a bonus, here's her name's meaning

Chen- secret

a- destruction

stra- spider

(to be frank idk how canon accurate this is but its my drow so im saying accurate enough)

🌼 - How old are they? (Or approximate age range)

i wrote it down in a post but i'm fickle when it comes to my characters' ages (also figuring out elf ages is. a time) so she's anywhere between 130-150 years old, which i'm pretty sure is the elf equivalent to 20s?

🍀 - What originally inspired the OC?

oh i don't have a clear memory for her, i was probably listening to music and thought "wouldn't this make a cool themed playlist for a character?" because that's often a core part of my character creation

i do remember at some point @cyb3rmutt and i were chatting and said "hey what if we made toxic yuri drow?" and thus. the terrible girls were born

💀 - Does your OC have any phobias?

ooh, i don't think any of them have phobias, so i'll do general fears (in no particular order)

Howl- loss of divine connection, powerlessness to protect loved ones, falling back into old self-destructive habits and, in their youth, ravens

Iphis- being stripped of power/autonomy, being outsmarted, losing Minisstra

id also been playing around with him fearing Keptolo's displeasure, "i gave you this body and i can take it back" type deal.

Minisstra's is very similar, but she's specifically afraid of her secrets being revealed because a couple of them would lead to her being sacrificed

Faeryl's big one is rejection, and when they first moved to the surface they were afraid of being alone and unable to properly settle, just remaining an outcast in an unfamiliar world

Chen would swear she doesn't fear anything, but she's terrified of Ang'dra walking out for good

oh boy this is a little bit @thegreatobsesso's fault but now im thinking of ocs and their experiences with loss and mourning

howl and fae have half elf children and they're full elves :) that's always been something ive had in the back of my head. i can't see either of them having any more kids afterwards so take that as you will

(fae's especially fucked because their wife is also an orc, whoops)

faeryl i think is caught up in grief so it taints their memories and perceptions. they lament about not being a good enough parent and not enjoying the time they had together when that is. not at all true. i do see them later on working in a little song for their wife and son when performing elistraeen rituals. just their voice in a short, haunting song praying for their goddess to care for them, and to eventually reunite them

out of all my characters howl has the best relationship with death. they know that this is coming, that it'll hurt, a lot, but i think the exact feelings are something they can't prepare for. they take care of themselves during mourning but it takes way longer to get to an okay point than when they lost like. friends or pets. i do think they fall into another depressive episode after agnes' passing, because she was a huge motivator for them to work on their issues. religious rituals are unsurprisingly a huge part of them coping

the nydallas. there is no one without the other. ive briefly mentioned it before, but iphis does die first and it destroys minisstra. when he falls she goes into a rage where her only goal is to take as many people down with her as possible. she knew how entwined they were, but she suspected that the worst case scenario would be leaving iphis behind. guess she was wrong!

and chena'stra. she wants ang'dra dead SO bad but also can't stand when that woman leaves for more than like. three days. she would find the loneliness crushing, there's something hollow where triumph should be

i don't have an ending for these ramblings but. yeah.

for day 25 of @absurdthirst's kinktober prompt, in which Chena'stra gets caught cheating

Chena’stra slides a knife under the windowsill, wedging it just so there’s a large enough gap for her fingers. The pane slides up with only a whisper of a draft, and with the grace of a spider on her web, she slips in. Her worn leather boots are soft against the stone floor, her footsteps not even a muffled sound. Now all there is to do is shut the window, undress and crawl into bed.

The evidence is destroyed with a soft click, but Chena’stra has little time to sigh in relief. She turns around to face Ang’dra, towering over her with a carving knife and an unfinished zhurkwood piece in hand. 

“Nice of you to join me in bed,”  Ang’dra growls, grabbing her by the forearm, “had your fill of staining another’s?”

“This is what you stoop to? Baseless accusations of me sleeping around?” She retorts, praying the venom in her tone masks the lie. It doesn’t, of course not, she’s so obvious someone like Ang’dra could see it. Entering through a locked window, hands red as her short silk dress.

And she calls her bluff, because why wouldn’t she. Ang’dra’s grip tightens as she pulls her closer. She smiles, treating the smaller drow to a flash sharp teeth.

“‘Baseless accusations’?” Now a breath apart, she shifts to grasp Chena’stra’s lower back. “How can you say that when you’re dressed like this?” 

“You don’t know shit.” Chena’stra cringes internally for the shrillness in her voice, her pitch not dissimilar to Ang’dra’s mockery. She strikes with her newly freed hand, aiming her fingers toward Ang’dra’s one good eye.

She flinches, hands dropping the knife and her carving with a sharp clatter, and Chena’stra makes a break for it. She makes it past no further than the hallway before Ang’dra catches her again, this time using her full strength to crush their rib cages together. A hand finds its way to the back of Chena’stra’s skull, jerking her head upwards to meet that carnivorous grin. Chena’stra struggles in her arms, a pathetic endeavor. Ang’dra’s breath is hot against her skin as she speaks. 

“I don’t know what’s funnier, you thinking I wouldn’t find out or that you could find someone better. You can put on a skimpy dress from your noble days and lure a sad fuck into taking you home, but it won’t change the fact that you’re mine.”

“I’m not yours.” Chena’stra spat, taking any angle she could to hit and scratch as Ang’dra carried her back to the bedroom. “You need me, I don’t rely on you for shit-”

Her protests dissolve into muffled screams as fingers shove themselves into her mouth. She bites down, hard, but Ang’dra’s grip is unyielding as she pins her to the bed.

“Even after being filled by someone else, you still act so hungry for me.” 

Ang’dra’s laugh is sharp, plunging into her nerves as her mouth slicks up her fingers. They’re drawn out of her mouth and trace themselves over her underwear without warning, and Chena’stra doesn’t know if her body’s moving away or into her hand.

“Get. The fuck. Off me.” She warns through gritted teeth, her wrist desperately trying to find a weak point in the hand keeping it down. Ang’dra may have her full weight on her, but all she needs is a single free hand to turn this around. Ang’dra’s hand cups her beneath the short skirt, and Chena’stra grinds into it despite herself. 

“You don’t actually want that, not by how your hips are thrusting and your cunt’s drooling. You just want your dignity, and I’m afraid you’ve lost that long ago.” 

Her fingers circle around her clit as Chena’stra tries to use the gap between them to kick her. It’s impossible, with how she’s practically crushed, but she succeeds in driving a knee into Ang’dra’s stomach. To her familiar despair, it takes more pain to get a reaction.

“All you have left now is me. It’s why you snuck in instead of staying the night with that poor bastard. You know no one else will have you.”

Fingers slide beneath her waistband, pushing their way inside as Chena’stra locks her teeth into Ang’dra’s shoulder as she tries to stifle her moans. She thrashes, spits out curses as her attempts to conceal her pleasure melt beneath her.

“That’s what makes me pathetic, the fact I put up with this stain on a noble lineage.”  Her lover groans, her hand slamming into her at a brutal pace as blood fills her mouth and arousal drips onto the sheets. 

“You’re pathetic for much more than that. You were nothing even before we met, before your House fell. You’re too small to leave a stain.” She spits, and Ang’dra crooks her fingers at the spot that cuts all language short. Each moan is a curse at her body, her weakness, her violator.

Ang’dra cradles her skull with a free hand, drinks up her stiletto glare as Chena’stra rakes her nails across her skin, pushing with the little strength she has. She’s rewarded with a venomous laugh as she fights through her orgasm. When she’s thoroughly out of breath,  Ang’dra wordlessly undresses and crawls beneath the sheets. 

Chena’stra curls into herself, and waits for her twitching body to fall asleep.

Appearance 18: Does your character have a favorite outfit?

ooh, this is a good one. i don't have a particular outfit in mind for her, but she liked the pretty, high-quality clothes from her noble days. she has a couple pieces still, but doesn't wear them except for special occasions since it's a sore spot for her.

so, i think she's got a nice dress or shirt/breeches combo that she managed to scrounge for. wearing it makes her feel like she's got her shit together. pair that with some jewelry from the House Frival days and she's back to looking classy.

(which is reminding me, i said she enjoys going to the theatre when she can afford it, and that's probably the outfit she wears to that. and all her fun is destroyed in 5 minutes when Ang'dra calls her a pathetic stuck up princess)

i don't think so, unless she fucks up sneaking and blames it on an object for making noise.

Community 7: Who is your character most honest with?

nobody lol not even herself. she lies to Ang'dra all the time about who she's seeing, her feelings for her, her whereabouts. and she feeds herself so many delusions like how she's superior to Ang'dra and can totally get her perfect revenge and climb back up the social ladder.

Minnie & Rhynsana- okay admittedly i did not have a song for them (i know. im the song-as-blorbo writer) so i reserve the right to change this answer; im gonna go with another ITM song. im gonna say In The Air Tonight. i just think it's more about the tension, because they can't outright kill each other

Howl would be a funeral home director, and probably have a little witchy etsy shop on the side

my heart's telling me indie musician and florist for Fae and i can't pick so they're also getting 2 gigs. makes sense for them to have a main job while they're working on their music career

i think he is a little bit, he doesn't sing all the time but i could see him humming a little tune while doing some menial task. Minnie finds it amusing
